one of my favorite decisions in Derry Girls is never once referring to Orla having a father and that her name and Aunt Sarah's name is still McCool, because Orla, sprite-like creature that she is, having no other biological origin and being magicked into being by psychic vibes or the universe is AS believable to me as Aunt Sarah having gotten pregnant by a man and completely forgetting who he was or where it happened because she doesn't live according to the human concept of time or reason.

Finished watching Derry Girls. :(((

I started watching after the first season came out with my boyfriend and then he was abroad on exchange while the final season came out... so I waited to watch with him and forgot about it until 2 weeks ago... and he was like, "Actually I'm not that bothered about watching the rest." SO I COULD'VE WATCHED IT WHILE IT AIRED WITH EVERYONE ELSE aufhgodijfkohkdfijg. Anyway.

I'm pretty happy with how it all ended. Emotional, lovely, funny, just like the whole series. I quite like that they didn't have Erin and James get together officially but I like to think they do. I thought there would be more talk about the gang separating to go to college or university but I'm glad they put the focus on Ireland's history and how that would affect them presently and in the future.

I am sad that the year's time-skip meant Clare didn't get together with Laurie, the girl that kissed her before she found out her dad died. I thought they were going to have her bump into the girl at Jenny's birthday party. I like to think she links back up with her!!! I was rooting for the lesbians!!!

I don't think there was mention of Mary being at university in the finale either which I would've liked to hear more about? I'm just going to assume she was. <3 Also I hope Gerry did manage to offload Eamonn to Colm's house lmao.

I loved the sub-plot of Sister Michael basically telling the Bishop to fuck off as well. She will remain at Our Lady Immaculate College to torment generations of girls another day!

Overall season three wasn't my favourite but what a wee gem of a show.
