Ik it's a random anon message but THEY DIDNT HAVE GERALT GROVELLING ENOUGH in the second season. Mans fully blamed Jaskier for stuff that wasn't in his control and he spat 20 years back into Jaskiers face. Jaskier and Yen deserve to have Geralt down on his knees kissing their feet with apologies.

the issue is that jaskier is so bloody forgiving. he doesn’t want to hate geralt. that’s the guy who gave him decades of … well, friendship. (coz fuck u, G. sharing a campsite and beds and travelling together for years and caring for each other and washing each other and braiding hair and defending each other etc— THIS DOES A FRIENDSHIP MAKE, no matter how stubbornly you refuse it!!!)

jaskier is loyal to his own detriment. he loves and cares and i think he’d grieved what they had (and what he lost and perceives potentially never rly had to lose in the first place) but then i think he got gut-wrenchingly angry and by the time it all circled back around he was just tired. tired and happy to see geralt.

anyway imo i think geralt should have been on his knees like yes jaskier whatever u say jaskier . and then my god . the whole yennefer mess . sorry to say it but yennefer/geralt (in the show) is … not for me. i think yennefer needs a wife guy if she picks a male partner, and jaskier fits that role perfectly.

but regardless: geralt’s inability to open his mouth and speak his heart’s truth, to hide his feelings and pretend hes like . medieval enhanced batman . like GOD

tl;dr: you’re so right. grovelling geralt next szn or i’ll have someone’s head.
