Greetings, Dirk Gently fandom; I bring you great news! A saviour has been born!

Introducing: a searchable DGHDA scene index!

What is it?

It's a way to categorise and search for every single scene in the show.

You can sort by character, tone, season, activity level, etc, and the spreadsheet will automatically give you all the scenes that match your search with a link to their start and end times on YouTube!

Why?

The original intention of this was for fic writers – as the writing equivalent of a folder of reference images. But it has as many applications as you can think of for it!

How?

Four days of me hyperfocusing on spreadsheet formulae. Worth it.

But!!! There's a Problem!

See, I've set the whole thing up, with formatting and formulae and so on – but, at present, there isn't actually anything in it.

There's something like 900 scenes in the whole show.

So: I'm asking for your help!

I've got a document linked below explaining everything involved, but in short: if we produce a community effort and divide the episodes between us, the whole thing will be filled out and functional much more quickly!

There's no pressure to do anything you don't feel up for, so don't feel like you have to input loads to take part! And if you don't take part at all for any reason, that's also completely fine. Your presence in the fandom is always enough <3

If you do feel up for anything, your help will be greatly appreciated!!

Supervillain au tidbits:

Both Virgil and Roman are quiet when they're drunk! But for different reasons.

Virgil is quiet because their brain is running too fast for them to comprehend what they're thinking. They are just looking down at their cup with a confused expression trying to understand just quite their brain is rambling on about. Their alcohol tolerance is a little above average.

Roman is quite because he just zones out. On the rare occasion that he's drunk, you'd often see him just dazed and looking at nothing and his mind is just blank and full of nothing. Literally, his drunk self is not think brain empty. His alcohol tolerance is actually quite high, because he had to drink a lot during dinners and galas.

And so when they're both together and drunk they are just sitting together being very quiet and spaced out

I really don't know about saying how much they bring me happiness, love, care, also sadness and anger in the difficult moments.. Even though sometimes I don't have many conversations today as long as I had in the past with this people, I still and always will remember every single one <3

I can't even count how many times I said “I love you” or that “I care about you” for them, I just know that even though they were few, i wanted them to know that this is true and that it will always be even until the day they are not my friends and companions on this walk of life :D

I thank each of you for everything you've done and said to me, being in sad and good times, it was and is even today important to me. Made me the person I am these days, made me keep moving forward, putting up with every bad thing, that gave me hope, confidence and even have anxiety about new things.

I will always love you the way you are. For me, if you want to change your personality, style or anything like that, I will always try my best to support you in any way! Because y'all are people who also accepted me the way I am, and I want to repay it by doing the same <3

No matter how many others say that you are insufficient, that you are always in a bad mood or that you are a bad person.. I'll try to help you to not to believe in this people and maybe also try to change this felling a little bit, but I'll never force you do that! I'll never force you change if you don't want to.

Hope you always know that your body is beautiful, your appearance is beautiful, and that if you want to change, you will remain beautiful in the same way :]
