Something about astronauts sacrificing their bodies and minds to come back as strangers knowing a bit more. Something about losing yourself to nothingness and never finding your way out. Perhaps, it's finding yourself a stranger in a body that you used to know. Maybe, about the curiosity that killed the cat, and perhaps the cat died happy and scared. Something, and nothing at all.

I wrote this one in the first session and with no context of session 2.

Poppy Playtime Headcanons (some spoilers ahead):

Personally I see the toys as adults.

No, I don't say that for weird porn reasons. I don't think Playtime Co. would've gave their "family friendly" abominations the anatomy to do anything like that. But they do have human nervous systems and are strongly implied to have humanlike organs, given how the Bron experiment tape explicitly mentions lungs and a thyroid gland.

It just makes more sense to me that they'd be, neurologically and perhaps hormonally, akin to adults. Horribly traumatized adults whose brains have developed in strange and frightening ways to cope with what's been done to them, but adults no less.

I do not subscribe to really any theory that focuses on souls and rituals and stuff. This game leans a little more science fiction than fantasy in my opinion, compared to, say, FNAF or Bendy and the Ink Machine. The process to turn someone into a toy isn't a ritual but instead a procedure. The people doing the dark shit aren't cultists but scientists.

In my general headcanon, Theodore Grambell was 7 years old when he was transformed into CatNap in 1990, making him 12 at the time of the Hour of Joy, and 22 in the game.

Similarly, I headcanon Marie Payne to have been 10 years old when she was turned into Mommy Long Legs (because of her maternal behavior towards the other kids and experiments; big sister vibes) in 1991, making her 14 during the Hour of Joy, and 24 in the game.

Mostly I say all this as a reference point for my own sort of Hurt-Comfort AU, which I'm tenatively calling the Recovery AU. Basically, instead of an employee returning to the factory, it's a former orphan who used to live there, and the young adult makes the decision to rescue her old friends by whatever means she can.

Of course, the bulk of the AU is what happens after they all get out of there. It's easy to end a story of great suffering with a cathartic death - the long fall, the crusher, the closing shutter, the stabbing hand, all after a long and terrifying chase sequence - but it's a lot harder to take those same characters and see how they might adjust to the "real world" outside the very specific circumstances that turned people into monsters. I want to see how Huggy Wuggy or Kissy Missy navigate therapy without the ability to speak or use normal hand signs. I want to see Mommy Long Legs reunite with her foster mom and shed tears at the feeling of the sun on her face. I want to see CatNap get deprogrammed and learn how to value himself and others without dipping into black and white thinking. I want to see Poppy try desperately to keep up with technology that is already far beyond anything she could have imagined when she was first "created" and locked away.

Oh my god.

Ok, so. Apologies for not posting often, BUT. For the last like, week or so I've been getting awful fucking headaches, to the point where I've had to leave work on several occasions. I keep fucking waking up to heavy fog in the morning but then it disappears AS SOON as I walk outside. Princess has also been really weird and shit over it and I'm not sure what to do.

I'm fuckin posting this right now cause I fuckin crashed right after work today and had the weirdest fucking dream. It was damn near Lucid dreaming but not because I could fucking feel shit and whatnot. I was in a fucking forest with camping supplies, right? Normal whatever shit. The difference though, is that there weren't any pokemon. None. There were Animals- like from the fuckin game- but there were barely any of them. I packed up my camp and whatever, and I knew that I was going. Somewhere.?? But it was so vague that I couldn't remember the name. I was fucking minding .y own business and then a fucking full blown monster zombie thing popped out of nowhere. It was nasty looking too,, I don't wanto go into details cause I'm barely awake and I think rotombkr would ban me instantly, but it was NASTY. I still feel nauseous thinking about it, cause (and forgive me rotombmr) it was all melted and hobbling around and it tried to hunt me down and eat me, and it was so fucking surreal that after getting tackled down the side of a hill I got bit, but after I woke up out of sheer panic, THERE WAS A FUCKING BITE MARK ON MY ARM. It's gone now but there was an ACTUAL FUCKING BITE MARK ON MY ARM.

Princess is all freaked out over it and I am as well, but. By Arceus.

Hey Marie what will happen if the respawner suddenly just shut off during a Turf battle and what will happen if either you or your cousin or anyone else dies and the respawner just shut off while they were in mid respond what would happen? will they be like cut in half or explode what will happen?

Wow. That’s, uh… morbid.

So first off, there are a bunch of safety measures and backup power supplies to make sure that doesn’t happen. I don’t know the logistics of it, but it’s pretty safe.

Second, the respawner’s just there to make everything easier once you get splatted. It’s all about regathering all your ink into one place so you don’t just… slop around on the floor until someone scoops you back together. Inklings and octolings were always able to respawn once splatted. The technology is just for convenience.

So if it broke mid-respawn… well, all your ink would already be in one place, so the machine wouldn’t be needed and your body would take care of the rest!

Some fun HWHBH piglin/piglin hybrid facts

in honor of mikey b's birthday!

1: Piglins and piglin hybrids are physically quite similar. Both are large, tall, have thick leather skin that varies between pale pink and grayish-brown, and are strongly built to pack on fat and muscle. The biggest difference between the two is their stature and height. Full-blooded piglins are hunched with bigger backs that prevent them from standing fully bipedal, and they are taller than their mixed hybrid relatives, who're able to stand up fully straight at the cost of averaging around 7-8 feet as opposed to the full piglin's average of 9.

2: Both piglins and piglin hybrids grow tusks. Full piglins get theirs shortly after birth while hybrid children have their tusks grow in around puberty(about 12-13 years) or sometimes earlier(9-10). Piglin hybrids take a great deal of pride in keeping their tusks well-maintained, with many cultures developing various designs that are carved or painted onto the tusks to indicate wealth, class status, achievements or even crimes. Regardless of culture, the majority of piglin hybrids keep their tusks very sharp by rubbing them against stone or by using some manner of blade as a file. It is considered a mark of great shame for a piglin to lose their tusks, so in many communities, piglin hybrids who are found guilty of crimes or otherwise immoral acts have theirs publicly removed.

3: Piglins are bald with the exception of bristly body hair, but hybrids grow rich manes of thick fur around the same time they begin to get their tusks. Piglin hair comes in a variety of colors. The most common are black, brown, dark red and shades of burgundy, but there are rarer shades that are viewed as more exotic: namely blonde, dark purple, pale bluish-white and pink. Piglin hybrids often braid their hair or otherwise tie it back so it stays out of the way while they work. The way a piglin styles their hair has often been used as a way to indicate wealth or status: the longer the hair, the richer the piglin, and by extension the less hooves-on labor they'll be assumed to have done. Likewise, a piglin hybrid who keeps their head shaved has likely done so to rid themself of any additional weight or distraction while they work/fight.

4: It is unknown were zombie piglins come from. There are records found on the walls of piglin bastions and temples that show they've been around well before what's often agreed to be recorded history, but they do not show how these semi-undead creatures were born, where they came from or how they were otherwise created.

Unlike undead creatures in the Overworld, zombie piglins(aka zomblins) are fully sentient, same as other humanoids. They have their own cultures and communities that have developed within the Nether, but many live in hybrid settlements, though notably not in full piglin cities, since non-hybrid piglins are strangely hostile towards these zomblins and will attack them without mercy.

Zomblins are physically indistinguishable from their hybrid counterparts aside from two factors: Paler skin pigmentation and patches of benign green rot that often expose bits of their bones. These patches do not hurt but do leave the exposed tissue vulnerable, but they do not spread as the zomblin grows overtime. Zombie piglins live full lives the same as piglin hybrids, and actually live a bit longer by several years to a few whole decades.

5: Though not inherently dangerous, full-blood piglins are noted to be very hostile towards other humanoids. They rarely wish to speak to Overworlders and will attack them on sight unless they're visibly wearing clothing or armor that is made of genuine gold, and even then, interactions with them tend to be short, curt and focused strictly on trading gold for various items such as glowstone dust or ender pearls. It is unknown what is the reason behind this aggression. When asked, many piglins have remarked about some manner of betrayal, an event they've often referred to as "The Slaughter". The term has led to many historians theorizing about some manner of genocide that might've been done against the piglins in the past, but extensive research has turned up nothing that could confirm such an idea, though a handful of particularly skilled magical scholars that specialize in divination have noted something of a "tear" in certain areas of strong magical potency that manifest near some of the larger piglin settlements.
