#tw dead pet
Text
Tonight my (deceased) cat visited me in my dream. We were cuddling in bed, which we almost never did when she was alive because despite being very much in need of affection, she was in a lot of pain and was very grumpy and aggressive as a result (that never stopped me from crawling to the bottom of the bed and holding her whenever possible)
Anyway she asked me to remove a piece of gunk from her eye, which I did (it was HUGE). She seemed so relieved and so much more calm than when she was alive. I’m glad I could help, I hope she knows she can visit whenever she wants <3

My niece is still learning to spell… which makes this memorial picture she drew for our recently-passed ferret, Robin, quite uh… well, you see what I mean.

Cringetober 12! Niche interest!
Dead animals/taxidermy for us! Probably one of our most niche special interests! We especially love "weird" or unique taxidermy.

🔪 what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
Oooh this is a good one! I think there was one point where I had to do some research on knife wounds and like the realistic healing time it would take for a stab wound to the abdomen to heal 🤣🤣 I’m sure my FBI agent in my phone had a field day with that one!
Other than that, I’ve researched different sex positions and such, but is that classified as weird? Lol

Before finally passing him his dead cat, void told the kitty he loved him and was sorry before reluctantly handing him to Starholder tf sun. He really didn’t want to but he knew he’d be forced to give the body up anyways and sun at least seemed to pity him enough to treat it like the body of a pet and not just burn it. When sun left with it he just broke down sobbing, and ended up crying so hard that he vomited. It was like he lost his entire family.

My cat died today. I can't bury him where I live, so here's a post about him instead.
(pictures heavy)
His name was Zephyr. He was two. He was a little Spitfire, a whirlwind of nervous energy. He loved to play and to explore. He made little noises while sleeping. He didn't let anyone but me touch him. He rarely asked to be pet, but it was always very special when he did. He didn't meow until he was well over one, but he became very vocal afterwards.
He gave me a reason to get up every day and a purpose to stay alive when I wanted to give up.
I really wish we had more time together. I will miss him very much.
Here is the first and last picture I took of him, almost exactly two years apart:

He loved the TV and the computer; and some other house appliances. My SAD lamp was pretty much his.

Cuddles were hard won during the day but he loved spending lazy mornings under the covers with me:

He once set up a death trap for me in the stairs:

I took him with me last time I went on holiday to see the sea:

He loved to hide to sleep and often fell asleep biting my fingers or my clothes:

Today I lost my little girl, Meg. She was only two and a half but got sick recently and unfortunately even with giving it our all, she lost the dear fight. She was a bratty girl with a big attitude and a great sense of humour and a deep appreciation for bananas lol. She will be sorely missed.

“I had a Cocker when I was a kid…Penny, her name was. It’s hard when a good dog gets old. And when they get to the end of it…It tears your heart out.” (Fairy Tale)
Well this hit uncomfortably close to home. Growing up I too had a cocker spaniel named Penny. She grew so old and sick, that we had to put her down. My only comfort is knowing she lived a good long life to the age of 19. Much longer than most dogs.

Sometimes I think about when my parents lied to me about my dead cat and I just :/
I had the cat for 12 years. She was my grandma's cat (on dad's side) before she died. She left the cat to me in her will bc she knew how much I loved that cat.
I took care of that cat better than I did myself. She helped me get up in high school on days where all I wanted to do was die. As she got older I fed her by hand, I would carefully work out the mats bc she couldn't bathe herself anymore due to arthritis, I'd brush her and wipe her down, I loved her.
And when she died I had one request. "Please get her cremated so I can keep her with me."
My mom said "okay, we'll let you know when you can pick her up."
Idk if she forgot or was just never planning on doing it. After a few weeks I came back, "What did you do with her?" I asked, already tense. And my mom, not even looking up from her phone, nonchalantly said- "Oh I had your dad put her in the trash."
Folks I lost it. I started crying and asking why they couldn't do this for me, why they would treat someone I loved with such disrespect, asked them how they'd feel I put the family dog in the garbage.
"Sweetie it's just a cat..."
That cat was my best friend. That cat greeted me every day after school and would be overcome with joy when I came home from college, the day before she died she wouldn't stop cuddling me and trying to groom me...like she knew she was going somewhere I couldn't follow.
And it's a good reminder as to why I don't tell my mom (dad passed rip) much of my life.
My parents threw my childhood best friend in the garbage to rot in a landfill. And that showed me how much respect they held for me.
