I know now F1blr has moved on from the Helmut Marko xenophobic comment (once again not his first time) and I shouldn’t even be saying this but in light of some comments I saw… It’s not Max job to “re-educate” (Ted’s words) anyone? And it’s not Lewis job to always be the “spokesperson” against discrimination? You can ask the other drivers about it too. Just sayin’
Also Checo is being employed by RBR. What did you expect him to say? What’s more, all the things Christian Horner said could have been adressed before… if they had released a statement. Releasing statements is my daily job so I kinda now about that stuff. When someone says “well he is not our employee that’s why” is just an excuse, just a technicality. He is an advisor, not part of the proper structure indeed but he works closely to your team and your image is linked to this person. If they wanted they could have said something. And I say this with profound disappointment. They should terminate his xenophobic ass contract already considering this is not the first time he has done these comments and was “forgave” for all the previous ones. I don’t care how much this man has or has not give to the sport. I truly don’t care. Regarding the FIA… what could I expect? I wasn’t expecting shit and they still managed to dissapoint me.
And please, if you are from a privilege group (I mean this with all due respect) trust me you don’t and could never understand the full extent of the damage that these type of comments make. Stop trying to tell us how we should feel about this. It’s offensive and perpetuates the narrative of Helmut’s comments.
