The missing arm and the split helmet was the result of a hungry Jester that he was teleported from before it could completely crush him in its jaws.

As for his other leg, he lost that to the Affliction (dont worry, hes no longer infected). He managed to obtain a nutcracker leg as a partial prosthetic and modified it to his own taste.

Missing Limbs

Do you guys know about phantom limbs ? It's often a feeling that amputated people have, and it also happens after top surgery. It's when your brain doesn't grasp the fact that the amputated limb is not there. It's like you can still feel it. It's like it's still a part of you. Phantom pain exists as well. After enduring a lot of pain, flashbacks can bring it back as if it's happening again. That's why PTSD flashbacks can be so... intense. That's also why we say "ouch" before actually knocking something. It's a reflex to pain. Those phantom feelings can linger for years. They can last for a long time, even when the pain is gone, even when the flesh is gone. Even when they are gone.

Imagine a Saiki with regenerative abilities - not like “he heals quicker than others” but as in missing limbs can and will grow back. Of course: he doesn’t know about this. Mostly because he’s never been greatly injured by anyone other than himself before (E.g. dislocating joints) but I imagine that in a scenario where he’s very overwhelmed and he starts tugging at his wrists (no I’m not self projecting what shut up) until eventually,,, they kinda just,,,, pull off. Que painful freaking out only for his hand to slowly regenerate from the stump, bone first and onwards. If it isn’t finished by school the next day he can just wear a glove to cover the exposed flesh and muscle where skin hasn’t quite regenerated just yet. Man that would be itchy. And it happens quick enough to notice change if you watch long enough. You can see the veins and nerves crawling back up to where they’re supposed to be, until he’s left with a perfectly normal hand. Would be such a ride.

"Quincy does his best to make sure that things don't get too dangerous around here, and most of the time, he manages to keep things so.

But there are times when he is unable to do so. I remember that during one of my early days of being here, a Visitor had gotten out of control and violent. Quincy had to step in- and it wasn't a pretty sight.

I think that was one of the first and few times I've seen him use his vines.

Thankfully, he was able to handle the situation, and we were able to help him heal. It took him a while to regrow his limbs, though, so he had only one arm for a while."

Au where Kei never dies, he just looses his arm during the accident. He grows super depressed so Kai goes over often to keep him company and does lots of little things for him to make it easier.
