A/N: Yes I have! Most namely his sister. However, there is a lot of angst regarding his past. So please brace yourselves! TW: Childhood trauma (more verbal than physical) separation, bullying, fire mention, neglect, slight violence

Edward Richtofen’s Past: Chapter 1

Siblings

Primis:

Eddie was only a toddler when his parents had his sister, Amelia. They were both 3 years apart. Although, being a young boy, he did cause a bit of mischeif around the house like stealing his father’s comb and playfully waiting to be chased around. He did throw a bit of temper tantrums back then as well if he didn’t get his way (typical Richtofen behavior). However, if there was someone he was respectful to, it was surprisingly his baby sister. The first time he was allowed to hold her, his father was very nervous about what he’d do. But all Edward did was quietly hold her on the bed and gave her a forehead kiss.

He would ask his mother if he could visit her crib since he was too small to reach over. Whenever she cried, he’d do whatever he could to cheer her up. He’d eagerly try to find things to give his mother to help Amelia. He was almost never was upset with her. Around the time Amelia could stand (2 yrs old), Eddie (5 yrs old), they played a lot of games together and were like two peas in a pod.

Unfortunately, if anyone remembers his BOTD quote about playing with fire… it was true. Edward found a box of matches left open on the kitchen table one night. He lit the match and was in awe at the dancing embers. He lit the kitchen curtains and laughed until it began to spread further. His sleeping parents began to scream in terror once it quickly gulped up the house. “EDVARD!” His mother yelled, running down the stairs. “Geh nach draussen! SCHNELL! (Get outside! Quickly!)” Eddie ran outside to the front of the house, with his mother able to get Amelia. She had intentions to go back inside to make sure her husband was able to leave. He had a severe knee injury related to his work. Before she went inside, she quickly scolded him that he should have never played with fire. It was the last time he ever saw her as the house began to collapse under the flames. Edward told the firemen what happened in tears. So, he and his sister ended up in separate orphanages due to no near extended family to take them in. Nobody trusted the young boy to be around his sister for what he was capable of.

“I promised mein Mutter I wouldn’t play with fire again. Sorry, Mutter.”

Due to Primis Richtofen being apart of the orphanage, the closest he ever had was at least 2 short term sibling figures. One was a boy named Heinrich and another named Johanna. Heinrich and Eddie often stuck close because they were often bullied. They were very good friends and if they weren’t pulling heists to steal the cookie jar, they were reading books together. Heinrich found Eddie an astronomy textbook since Eddie was the smartest boy in learning time. Although it was very advanced, Eddie kept it and often challenged himself to keep reading until he eventually understood it. Johanna was a little girl that reminded him of his sister. She believed in his dream the most of being a scientist. “Don’t listen to those meanies, Eddie. I think you’ll grow up to be the best scientist!” He often would entertain playing house for her and was very protective of her. She was only around for a very short time. Both Heinrich and Johanna were eventually adopted, which lead Edward to isolate himself out of fear of losing people he cared for. The children also got nastier when they aged. But eventually, he’d become an apprentice for a father figure. He was a very gifted scientist who worked at Group 935…

Ultimis:

This is where everything’s better for Richtofen. He did have a loving home. But… simply put, troublemaker doesn’t even begin with him as a tiny tyrant! He did crush his sister’s dolls to hear her cry in anguish. Edward also blamed her for any broken vases and framed her when he felt like hitting her, fake crying until it caught on to his parents exactly what he was doing.

Eddie was jealous. Very jealous. He felt like nobody appreciated his hard work compared to Amelia. Truth be told, Amelia was a gifted musician at the viola and was fairly loved in school. Ultimis Eddie was bullied for being “creepy” and also to be the unfortunate chosen punching bag just because children are cruel sometimes. He would often take this out on her, severing every possible string they could have in their relationship. She warrented no wrong until she had enough and would start rumors around the school that he wanted to kill their parents. That alone nearly had him removed from elementary school.

It was also noted that his parents became more neglectful out of shame when he started showing more signs of sociopathy. It was a shame how they excused every possible thing to avoid accountability for not helping him. He harmed a lot of little animals when he reached his preteen years, especially birds. “Oh Ameilia, someday I will rip away the wings of freedom you took from me!” He’d cackle and perform dissection.

Eventually at 18, due to resentment and plans to attend university, he cut ties with all of his family. It wasn’t until after touching the MPD he began to reminisce on the past in sadistic joy for all the humiliation he put his sister through.

i’m rotting on bnha bunny!reader owners.

bakugo -> gosh just the thought makes my head fuzzy…. everyone thought a bunny would be the worst hybrid for him to pick, especially you, the most timid of them all. he scowled mean, but he was the nicest and gentlest of all the people you met. he didn’t get in your space when you hid behind furniture while other hybrids explored and played with potential owners. he just crouched down and held out his hand. sat there waiting quietly until you were ready to curiously sniff his hand. let you curl up next to him and in his lap while he silently pet you or let you show him what you were comfortable with. and he gives you the freaking world at home. did the most research beforehand because he wanted everything to be perfect for you. and it nearly was.

aizawa -> intended on getting a cat hybrid, but you were too sweet and doe eyed to resist. he doesn’t regret it one bit. takes the best care of you and is so soft and loving and… ugh. he doesn’t let you get away with anything, though. makes some of the best homemade food. loves snuggles more than he admits. insists on being the one to wash and care for your hair & ears because you’re his bunny to take care of. loves the soft down fur of your rabbit feet and how it contrasts with the rest of your human body. also loved watching you get to know his two actual house cats who were skittish at first because you looked and smelled so different. but now you play with them all the time.

kirishima -> you were his first choice, but he wasn’t your first choice. your first choice would have been the guy with a big scar on his eye siting quietly in the corner… or maybe the dark haired lady who was giving out so many head pets and ear scritches…. but kiri was very friendly and energetic… he was more like those puppy hybrids who were always so loud and up to something, but when he stretched out his hand, you gave him a chance. he had to learn how to temper himself around you as to not make you skittish, and you eventually warmed up to his loud, energetic personality. definitely gives the best snuggles ever. he’s super warm all the time, so you can’t help but curl up next to him. and he always cooes such sweet things when he’s petting you and holding you. he’s also super fun to play with and gets you lots of toys.
