Saw someone reblog one of my posts with an “op agrees with terf posts block and stay safe” or something like that and. What in the utter fuck, tumblr. How did that even happen that someone would believe that about me

Not that they care cuz terfs are predominantly racist white women anyway but I just find it fascinating how violently transphobic they are despite so many cultures across the world having a history and sometimes a sacredness that comes with being trans and gnc

Several of my silly posts about gender have escaped containment, which is a great thing bc I love to see my silly takes resonating with the rest of the queer community. Oddly enough this also comes with spades of terfs insisting that my experiences with genderfluidity and bisexuality are actually somehow supporting their heinous political position, despite the fact that I'm everything they despise: a hairy, cock-loving boy-dyke. I think I've finally figured out why.
Essentially, we are reading the same thesis and coming to vastly different conclusions.
When I make a joke about how silly the rules of gender are, I mean it in a nihilistic way, where anybody can do whatever they want forever. Terfs will read the same joke and agree wholeheartedly, but not with the intention of freedom for all, but with the intention that they should be the ones making the rules bc then the rules would "make sense." They can't comprehend a world without rules or hierarchy bc their political position on gender is fascist at heart and anti-autonomy
So when a terf reblogs my post about gender being a prison, they're not for abolishing that prison, they simply want to be the warden

(I prefer to not have too much of this stuff on my blog so I’m sending an ask) Honestly your identity isn’t hard to understand at all to me, like it makes perfect sense how lines get blurred like that. Gender is complicated as hell and what you are is literally nobody else’s business.
And fujo discourse is the worst 😭 People refuse to accept that a lot of “fujoshi” are queer men and eggs exploring their male queerness by living vicariously through the characters. I’m literally straight and I like BL because I’m still a queer man who likes and connects to works about men being queer in general.
And aphobia is so so awful. I was one in my late teens- early 20s and once I woke up a few years ago I realized just how terrible it is. A lot of it is also TERFs indoctrinating people by dividing the community and getting people in to push them to start disliking other queer people until they work their way up to transmisogyny. My best friend and his bf are also both aroace and it’s so frustrating how many people refuse to accept who they are because they don’t care about the nuance of their relationship + their identities.
Honestly yes to all of this!!! Thank you for responding!!
And like, it's nobody else's business until it's the WEIRD FREAK QUEERS!!! /s like!!! It's their gender and sexuality, not friggin yours!!!
Fujo discourse... God I just realized how I have unconsciously avoiding being both a gay man and a cishet woman due to this!!! Like aside from the internalized transmultiphobia it's just TERF rhetoric atp
God yeahhhh about the aroace one, it's fucking exhausting to be seen as just an honorary queer rather than the legit thing lmao

Hey, this is one of my favorite childhood book series! Let's check out the fandom- *AUTHOR IS A TERF, DONATES TO HATE GROUPS*
Oh. That's a problem. Well then, let's listen to this band I keep hearing in edits- *PEDO RING INVOLVEMENT, LEAD SINGER IN JAIL*
Ah...well how about this YouTuber I like- *ABUSER, CAREER IS PROBABLY OVER*

to ex-radfems:
hey! i didn't realize there was so many of y'all here on tumblr! I'll be honest, I'm not sure what to say about it, because, well, I thought we were much fewer and further between.
I think there are a few things worth saying, though.
Here's a resource for you. In addition, while I don't participate in discourse too often, I'm happy to provide perspective to good-faith questions, and to learn from you and what you've picked up along your journey.
I am proud of you for your growth. This is a really difficult thing - radical feminism targets vulnerable people who aren't equipped with the tools to understand its many issues. I hesitate to call any political system a cult, but as a cult survivor myself, there are parallels.
I know that the guilt is difficult. I was relatively harmless as a TERF since I rarely spoke up about it, but what little I did perpetuate, I regret. The things I've done in the name of beliefs that held me instead of me holding them still haunt me, radfem-related or not.
You are not alone. This is important.
Some people will not forgive you. Some people cannot forgive you. You may have trouble forgiving yourself. It's okay. It takes time, and what's most important is that you're here now, and you understand how to move forwards.
This is a safe space for former/deconverting radfems. I block easily, because I need to keep this a safe space for myself as well, but I want you to know that I'm going to do my best to make this space open to people who are willing to learn.
Honestly, at this rate, I might make a sideblog about being a former radfem - I'll add it to my pinned post if I do.
Anyways. I share some of this experience with you. I know it can be difficult, coming to terms with both your past and what this means for the future. I know it takes work. I know.
Most importantly, it's going to be okay.

Why do terfs think it's a gotcha when they ask what the definition of woman is? Trans women are
Adult ✔
Human ✔
Female ✔
So it doesn't make sense to me that this should stop anyone in their tracks like "OMG I've been Had!!!" Like, what is your point.

Have you noticed the aphobe to terf pipeline
"Noticed" per se? I wouldn't say.
But I've definitely thought about it when exclusionist comments would get to me and my mood a little too much.
It's not reassuring.

Stop throwing the word terf around because people don't agree with your headcanon. Some people just disagree with you.
Terfs aren't just people who don't like change and enjoy leaving banal comments on fanart. Terfs are dangerous bigots who literally think a whole group of human people should be dead. If you throw the word around for any perceived slight, the word becomes meaningless.
it takes all of two seconds looking at that person's blog to know they're a terf and subscribe to the terf ideology. not to mention, the reason why their username is RED in that screenshot is because of an extension that highlights terfs and other transphobes so they can be avoided.
do you think i'm some fucking kid that doesn't know how to identify a terf in the wild? you want me to do my research to make sure that they 100% want trans people dead in order to call them a terf?? fuck that and fuck your holier-than-thou bullshit, giving ppl who do slightly less than that the benefit of the doubt.
a terf saying that on fanart with my butch headcanon is so unbelievably offensive because what? what are the implications? does terfs view butches as fake or lesser than? YOU might not see how offensive it is that someone can't see "the logic" in me viewing ellie as butch, and that's fine because you might just not get it but that doesn't mean you get to defend them to ME.
