Margot Robbie and Sebastian Stan are parents again!
The I, Tonya co-stars welcomed a baby girl on April 26th in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Margot’s publicist confirmed on Wednesday.
The arrival of their third child, their second daughter, wasn’t without a scare. It was confirmed the thirty-two year old actress suffered complications of a rare condition called placental abruption, when doctor’s performed an emergency c-section.
Placental abruption affects fewer than 200,000 cases per year in which the placenta detaches from the womb (uterus).
In a statement issued to The Hollywood Fame Show, the actress’s publicist assured the mother and child are doing well and expressed appreciation for the nurses, doctors and medical staff at Gold Coast Private Hospital: “Margot and Sebastian cannot begin to express their gratitude to their medical team at Gold Coast Private Hospital for the care they provided Margot and their baby girl. Because of their expertise and timeliness, both Margot and their daughter are doing well and resting comfortably at home.”
The actress’s publicist then went on to explain, “While the couple asks for privacy at this time, they felt it was important to shed some light on this rare condition and raise some awareness in hopes to help other parents.”
Stan, 40, announced their third pregnancy on Instagram with a picture of his wife’s growing baby bump after paparazzi photographed them buying pregnancy tests in the Maldives.
Margot and Sebastian are parents to Axel Lachlan Cameron Stan, 3, and Piper Georgeta Sarie Stan, 1.
Details about their second daughter are being kept under-wraps.

thinking about an emergency c-section for one of your kids, and satoru is absolutely a wreck, already had been dozing off at the hospital after you were admitted for labor since “his” baby was taking their sweet time to come — as you put it. and he had taken up residence on the cot beside you, having just laid down, only to find a nurse doing a nightly check on you.
it happens slowly. the medical staff multiply one by one, until there’s a dozen of them, including one nurse on top of you with her hand keeping your baby’s umbilical cord from being wrapped around the baby.
and they don’t let him come in as they wheel you to the operating room, leaving him to pace alone, wondering if he would see your baby or you again. and realizing he didn’t even get a chance to tell you he loved you.

tw: breastfeeding, bad pregnancies n supportive bakugou cries
“what’re you doin’ down here?”
it’s the middle of the night; probably nearer to three in the morning when you catch your husband’s gruff voice before you see him emerge into the kitchen; the sharp edge of his handsomely matured jawline illuminated by the silver moonlight. smiling as he rubs sleep from his ruby encrusted eyes— you hold up a baby bottle mina had gifted you from the baby shower, filled with breast milk as you set a timer up on the warmer.
“your son was hungry again,” you hum, placing the bottle back into the warmer, smiling as warm and familiar arms wrap around your waist and calloused fingers trace the c-section scar. “he wouldn’t latch so i figured we’d try a bottle tonight.”
bakugou makes a noise of disapproval in his throat, squeezing you close to his chest as if to cushion you— protect you. “y’shoulda come ‘n got me, need all the rest you can get feedin’ a hungry tike like that all day,” he rasps into the shell of your ear, swaying your bodies to the quiet tick of the one minute timer on your baby bottle warmer. “we agreed t’split feeding, r’member?”
your husband is warm, like a comforting hug or the safest place to be in the world— and if you’re not careful, you might fall asleep standing up. “i didn’t know you were awake kats, besides you just came back from a long mission and—“
“firstly.. had to put the little princess back t’bed, she wanted to know how her parents met.” bakugou grunts, spinning you softly in his arms— fingers brushing over your wedding ring, his forehead practically plastered to yours. “secondly, none of that, we’re a fuckin’ team, we do this shit together,”
maybe it’s the left over hormones tingling through your body; the exhaustion of being a mother to two of the country’s most adored children and the wife of a top pro hero… but you feel yourself curl in on katsuki, feel your body flood with relief knowing that you can always count on him no matter what you both go through.
the timer on the bottle warmer ticks with the indication that your son’s late night meal is ready— and before you can reach for it, bakugou has your eyes on his once again. tired with age and becoming new parents for the second time, the stress of your son’s difficult pregnancy and labour evident in the crease between his brows despite you both being closer to the start of your careers than retiring, but masked by the love in his eyes.
he picks it up, kissing your forehead as he goes— guiding you back up to the first floor of the home you built together, where you part ways at the landing. bakugou to the nursery and you back to the comfort of your bed.
“get some rest,” katsuki tells you, sleepy but warmly. “don’ wait up for me, kay?”
you know that your hungry four month old son is in good hands, that your three year old daughter is sleeping safe and soundly— but something in your heart tells you that you can’t truly rest until the last bakugou is tucked into your arms tonight.
“no promises,” you say wistfully, grateful to your husband and your children— counting your blessings too.

I think these suggested questions on Google right next to each other show how much fatphobia and diet culture have destroyed society.
Tumblr media
I cannot believe there are people who give a fuck about a flat stomach after giving birth through a major surgery like a C-section. Right after reading suggested questions about almost your entire body being numbed, how the doctor moves your fucking organs around to get your child, and having your body literally cut open, I have to see that enough people asked about the possibility of this surgery giving them a flat stomach that Google decided to make this a suggested search.
This is one of those times that I want to scream and shake people to make them finally wake up and LOOK at the state of this fucked up, fatphobic world. If you care about equality, then start giving a damn about fat people and how severely oppressed we are, because no one would be asking shit about flat stomach C-sections if fat people weren't so despised and discriminated against.

I find it very interesting how Judas and Jesus, in their darkest hour, are depicted giving birth during medieval times. The reactions to both are different, delivering evil and rebirth. I don’t suppose it could be a nice metaphor for the mistress and the madonna.

Hi hibi! How’s the new mom life going on? Hope everything’s going great…
Hi babe!! Thank you for checking in ❤️ mom life is wonderful so far, Alhamdulillah. My baby is perfect and my husband is exactly the father I knew he would be. We have some family staying to help which is great. I have soooome baby blues going on (heightened anxiety, some bursts of crying) but we’re trying our best to stay on top of it!
I had a c-section so recovery has been slow but consistent and I’m definitely improving every day. It’s just frustrating because I’m sure I’d feel less baby blue-y if I could go around freely BUTTTT it is what it is and I’m proud of myself!

😤 hmph he should tell reader everyday that he loves her!!! he's the one who put a baby in her in the first place!
as he paces by himself, i can just imagine him thinking about how much reader means to him. how warm her hand felt in his as her fingers squeezed his. how over the moon happy he felt when she kissed him for the first time. how beautiful she looked with his ring on her pretty finger. how her smile was brighter than a thousand suns when she walked down the aisle in her pure white dress. and how radiant she looked, with her baby bump growing bigger and bigger everyday as they got ready to welcome a new member into the life that they built together <3
I'm sorry Sab that you had to go through something traumatic like that. I'm glad that everything turned out fine in the end :)
you’re absolutely right and he does! it’s just everything happened super quick that he wasn’t able to say it before she was wheeled off to the OR (that’s based on what happened to me and a family member because I didn’t even have time to say anything before she was wheeled off)
no literally — he would be thinking about all those moments and internally panicking at the thought of living without her if something went wrong. and he would just be hoping, hoping that she was okay. And he wouldn’t be able to rest until he saw that she and the baby were completely fine. and even then, he would want to stay up all night keeping an eye on her and the baby.
It’s ok!! It was def super scary but the hospital handled it well and everything turned out fine 💕 it was definitely traumatizing—even for me who didn’t go through that experience directly

Who: Ashi Hussan & @itssunnyxhussan
Location: East Haven Memorial
Date: August 29th, 2023
Summary: Ashi goes into labor and heads to the hospital where her birth plan doesn't go as she hoped.
Notes: This was written on Discord. It was finished a while ago, but kept forgetting to post. Italics were written by Jennie and normal by Kayla.
Triggers: Pregnancy, labor, c-section
3 more days. That's all there was until their daughters would be here. They had a scheduled induction for September 1st, but at her last appointment, the girls weren't in the right positions for the vaginal birth that she wanted, so she was trying some techniques to help get them move. Yoga moves, forward-leaning inversion, jiggling her hips, doing leg circles, moving her hips in a figure 8 motion, having Sunny give her mini massages. It had been going on for days and she wasn't sure if it had worked yet. She only did it when she was with someone else, mostly Sunny, but he was at work and today, she was just wanting to move the babies. She wanted them in the right position and she wanted to have her vaginal birth. She wasn't doing any of the hard moves, but anything she could do on her own, she kept repeating that morning while Chazz just stared at her. She had had some pains since the night before, but she didn't think much of it. She had Braxton Hicks for the last few weeks and just breathed as they passed. She had the music going and she could feel the girls kicking inside her as she moved. "You know, you should help Mama out and turn, babes." She told him as she rubbed her stomach as she kept moving in figure 8s. After a few minutes, she sighed and moved to sit down as she got tired. She groaned and leaned her head back. "Ugh. Why won't you guys just move?" She whined and took a drink of her water before feeling like she had to use the bathroom. "And why do you have to kick my bladder?" She said as she used the table to help her stand up and she started walking through the apartment to get to the bathroom. She barely moved when she felt a pop and she heard the water on the floor. "No, no, no." She cried and grabbed a hand towel that was close by to move it over the water so Chazz wouldn't lick it up and tried wiping it around with her foot before giving up and moving towards her phone.
At first, she tried calling Sunny's phone. She left him a voicemail telling him to call her back and after that, she felt a contraction take over; realizing now the pain she had throughout the day and previous night wasn't just cramps or Braxton Hicks, but contractions. She tried calling him again and this time telling him her water broke and to call her back as soon as possible. She took a deep breath as she sat in the kitchen chair and signed. "Okay. Gonna call your uncle." She said and dialed her brother's number. He answered, luckily, and she told him what was going on and she needed him to come get her. After twenty minutes and five more contractions, he arrived and they headed towards the hospital. She had two more on the way, her brother begging her not to have the babies in the car (to which she told him she didn't even feel like pushing and to calm down), and he pulled into the ER and ran to get her a wheelchair before coming back out and helping her into it. "Did you see Sunny?" She asked and he shook his head as he wheeled her in. Her brother was explaining to the nurse at the desk why they were there and was getting directions to labor and delivery when Ashi spotted Sunny. "Sunny!" She called out and waved to him.
Sunny was in a predicament because he was trying not too work so much. He had previously booked some time off for the due date and prayed the babies didn't decide to come sooner. But when the due date came and went he tentatively decided to go back to work with the company fully understanding that at any moment he may need to leave. It was hard not to worry constantly while he was at work. Though the doctors said everything was normal and the twins seemed healthy, he was afraid that if he couldn't be there to drive his wife to the hospital right away it could put them at risk. He knew Ashi wanted a natural birth but he also knew there were many things that could go wrong with twins. He was in the ER doing his usual duties of helping new patients while they waited to get a bed if necessary. Surprisingly things seemed to have been going smoothly that day. Once he was caught up he knew he'd have just a minute or two to have a sip of coffee and check the messages on his phone. He saw he had a couple missed calls and knew he wouldn't be able to call whoever it was back until his break. Suddenly he heard his wife's voice and saw her being wheeled in by her brother. His eyes grew wide as he ran to her. "Ashi! Oh my God, did your water break? Is it time?" he asked her worried it could just be false contractions.
Her hand grabbed his and she nodded. "It did." She said and held his hand tight. "I tried calling you. I was scared you were busy and I'd do this without you." She cried before a contraction took over and she gripped his hand tight. She groaned through it and then looked at him once it's done. "What if they're not in the right position? What if they didn't turn?" She cried as another nurse came over to take her up to delivery. "I want to do this naturally." She said and held her husband's hand tight. It was all she wanted, but their twins were coming early and she had a feeling in her gut it wasn't going to be how she wanted. The nurse said they needed to go and she looked at Sunny. "Can you come?"
"It did?" He repeated as it started to sink in that this was finally happening. He took a deep breath as he squeezed her hand as the contraction started. "Was that the first one?" He asked before shaking his head when she started to voice her concerns. "Don't worry. Everything's going to be fine." He assured her. "I know, babe. Hopefully you can. I'll get someone to check you out right away. I'm gonna radio the maternity ward and make sure there's no wait on the delivery rooms. I don't know how busy it is.' His mind went back to "professional mode" as he spoke to his co-worker asking them to do a pelvic exam and find out where she was at. He nodded. "Of course I can. I'll let them know I'm leaving and someone can take over for me. If they don't let me, I'll quit. I'm not missing this." He smiled bringing her hand to his lips.
She nodded and took a deep breath before she shook her head at her next question. "No. I've had some since last night." She looked at him. "I thought they were just cramps or the fake ones." Ashi explained to him. She watched as he started talking about what they were going to do and she shook her head. "Sunny, please. I just need you here." She didn't need him to be professional here. She just wanted him. She looked at the nurse and then back at him as she said what room they were going to be in up on the maternity floor. "Please hurry." She begged him and she hated leaving him down there, but she was wheeled upstairs. After changing, she had another contraction and a nurse checked her, telling her that she was five centimeters dilated. There was still time, which made her relax a little, but the doctor was going to be in soon. She just hoped Sunny would be in before then.
"You should have woke me up," he said when she mentioned having contractions the night before. Although he knew there wouldn't have been much he could have done if they weren't real. He nodded and smoothed her hair. "Just try to relax. I'll be there as soon as I can, I promise." He watched nervously as they wheeled her upstairs. He wanted everything to go well and he trusted the medical staff but he couldn't help but think about everything that could go wrong. It took him about 15 minutes to finish up his work in the ER and he grew nervous every time a new patient arrived needing help because he didn't want to get held up and miss the birth of his daughters. Finally one of his co-workers told him to go and that they would handle things until his replacement came. "Thank you." He said and quickly went to the elevators up to the floor and found out at the front desk where they had taken his wife. He saw to his relief that she was there and hadn't gone into labor yet or anything. "I made it." He said moving to her side and kissed her head. "What'd they say? Are they moving you to delivery?" He asked.
"I didn't want to in case it was nothing." She said and sighed as he smoothed her hair. "You better." She told him. She was relieved when he walked through the door of her room and she reached out for his hand again. "You did." She smiled and leaned into his kiss. "No. I'm only at a five, but they're getting the doctor to do an ultrasound." She told him. "They want to make sure the girls turned." But she knew they didn't. She could feel it. It wasn't much longer before her doctor came in with the ultrasound machine. She gripped her husband's hand as they took a look at their girls. "It looks like their still heads up." Their doctor said with a sigh, which made Ashi's heart sink. "There's still some time. Let's try a few things to help them out, okay?" She said and had the nurse bring in a birthing ball and ice packs. She moved to the ball to sit on and put the ice packs on her stomach and all they could do was wait. "This isn't going to work." She groaned as she started playing music. "They won't turn."
He held her hand as she told him what the doctors said. Once they did an ultrasound they found out the babies hadn't turned. He sighed knowing this wasn't what Ashi wanted for them. "Will it work for both of them?" He asked the nurse who said they could try. He helped his wife out of the bed and helped hold the ice packs on her stomach. He sighed when she sounded unsure about it. "We can try. Maybe it will. Like they said we have time." He tried to stay confident but he was starting to realize she might be right. He lowered himself to her level to speak. "Listen, I think maybe we should consider the C-section, Ash. It might be safer. I know its not what we were hoping for but as long as they come out healthy that's what matters." He told her. "Maybe this is how they want to come out." He said with a bit of a smile. "Looks like I'm about to have three stubborn girls on my hands." He joked.
She looked into his eyes and cocked her head. "But we did all that before. The last few weeks... nothing is helping." Ashi said and closed her eyes. She squeezed his hand as another contraction came and went and then her eyes opened to look at Sunny as he suggested a C-section. She knew it was coming. She knew it was going to be the best option, but she didn't want to think about it. She couldn't argue. She knew all the risks. They had talked about it before several times. "I know." She said. The alternative was going to be having them breech and that was risky. Neither of them wanted it. "I just wanted to have them naturally." She squeezed her eyes shut. "A little too stubborn." She tried joking too and rested her head against his. "I just want them healthy."
He let out a breath, feeling nervous about making this decision with his wife and that she may be right. "I know. Maybe they just can't. You know, with two of them maybe they don't have enough room." He put his hand on her stomach, rubbing gently. "I want them to be healthy to, but maybe this is the best way." he told her. "They're going to be in good hands. I made sure of that." Sunny may not have worked in this sector but he had talked a lot to other nurses and staff and was insistent that they had the best, most knowledgeable doctor and team. The ones who specifically dealt with twins and multiples.
She sighed and looked at him with tired and defeated eyes. She knew they twins were going to be in good hands. She trusted their doctor and the nurses there. She just wished it had gone the way she envisioned it. "I can feel how little room they have." She tried joking and swallowed. "I know they are. I do. And I know it's the best way compared to us risking something else." She rubbed her stomach as well. "If this doesn't work, we'll do the c-section."
He smiled softly. "I'm sure you can." he agreed. He knew that things were getting more complicated the longer the babies decided they didn't want to come out. Maybe this was better than having to be induced. "Okay. We'll try." he nodded as he rubbed her stomach. "Girls, this is your father speaking. Don't make me come in there." he chuckled lightly. He couldnt help but joke around to help her calm down. He put his hand on Ashi's. "Hey. It's going to be alright. Everythings going to be fine and we'll be bringing our babies home before we know it."
She laughed a little as he tried to get her to relax and calm down. She was incredibly lucky to have him by her side doing all this. She reached out and touched Sunny's cheek and smiled at him. "I love you." She said. "Thank you for always being my light." He always had been, too. Since they met, he was always making her feel happy and safe and that she could get through anything. Even when they had hard times, they came through it. And now, they were going to be having their little girls. Feeling another contraction coming on, she took a deep breath and took his hands. She groaned as she closed her eyes and squeezed his hands tightly. Just as it finished, the doctor came back in to see how they were doing and helped her back into the bed to see how far dilated she was. She was now at an eight and with the ultrasound looking back at her, it confirmed once again the girls hadn't moved at all and they were going to have to do the C-section. The doctor said they were gonna go prep the OR and she sighed as she laid back.
He smiled "I love you too." He kissed her forehead and shook his head. "Nah, its all you, babe. You got this." He winced slightly as she squeezed his hands while having another comtraction. "You okay?" He asked her. He rubbed her back and told the nurse the time it started for their record. "Have they moved?" He asked as they moved his wife to the bed. He quickly found his answer on the ultrasound and realized they were going to have to change their plan. He let out a breath and squeezed her hand. "Alright, this is it." He said. "I have to go get scrubbed in, are you going to be okay?"
She leaned into his kiss. "It's not, but thank you." She said and took a deep breath as the contraction ended. "Yeah." She watched as the nurses started getting ready and she bit her lip. Now she was getting nervous and when Sunny said he was going to go get scrubbed in, she swallowed and squeezed his hand back. "As okay as I have to be." She forced a smile. She didn't want him to go, but he had to get ready too. He was going to be by her side. "Just hurry, okay?"
"Don't worry about a thing, okay? Just focus on you and our daughters." Sunny gently touched her cheek and headed out with the team where he had to wash up and put on PPE for the surgery. It was nerve wracking how real this was becoming so quickly. With his job he was use to shutting off his emotions and not worrying so that he could focus but this was his wife and their children. Though he wasn't religious, he said a silent prayer to himself in his head before he stepped into the surgery room to wait for them to bring in his wife.
The thing was, all she could do was worry. She was scared and she just wanted everything to be okay. In fact, she wished her mom was there. That she had a better relationship with her and she didn't feel like everything was chaotic. She let the nurses help her change and she was given something to help her start feeling numb before she was wheeled out and headed towards the OR. By the time she got there, she couldn't feel a thing in most of her body. She was relieved to see Sunny there and they started preparing everything for it, putting up a barrier so she couldn't see what was going on past her chest. "Can you see?" She asked her husband. "I want to know what's going on."
Sunny was trying to stay calm and strong for Ashi when he saw her come into the OR. He stood by her side holding her hand as the team started to prepare. He rubbed her hand to reassure her. "They're just doing some prep work and sterilizing. They haven't made the incision yet. But when they do, you shouldn't feel it. Maybe just some pressure." He told her. "The plus side is it shouldn't take long." He said bending down to kiss his wife's head. "Usually its over quick from what I've heard but with two of them, it could be maybe forty-five minutes at most." His heart started to quicken when he saw the surgeon take the scalpel to do the incision. "Okay. Here it comes.."
She nodded as she looked at him. She wanted nothing more than to hold his hand, but this would do for now. "Okay." She said and sighed. It may have been faster, but still not what she wanted. But she needed to start looking at the positive side of things. The girls were healthy, they would be safe, and this was sooner she could hold them so it was fine. "We can count down the minutes until we're parents." She said, smiling at him. She heard him say it was time and she waited for a pain to hit her, but like he said, all she felt was some pressure, and that was it. "Better than I thought it was going to be." She commented.
Sunny chuckled though he felt nervous hearing those words. They had been preparing for this part of their lives for several months and he was excited but didn't feel ready now that it was happening. "It won't be long now." He said and watched as they made the incision on her abdomen. He watched them cut through the skin and then some of the tissue. Then he saw what he could only assume was an amniotic sack. When they cut it, some fluid came out. Sunny could hardly believe what he was seeing. "Okay, I see something. I see hair, its one of their heads." He told Ashi since she couldn't see what was happening. He froze with emotion when he saw the baby's face, then before he knew what was happening, a nurse was holding a whole baby. "Oh my god..." he could barely find his voice as his eyes filled with tears. "Ashi, it's our daughter. Do you see her?"
Her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. Or just fall and come right out the incision now that it had an opening. She felt pressure and a bit of tugging, all of it just feeling completely weird, and watched Sunny's face. She wanted to see what was going on and she heard the doctor and nurses talking, telling her what they were doing as well when her husband's face changed. "What? What's wrong?" Ashi asked, thinking the worst. But then he said it was their daughter and she looked to see the nurse bring her around so she could see. Her heart swelled and tears lined her eyes as well. "It's her. It's Shani." She said like she knew instantly who her daughter was. There was no question. That was her Shani.
When the nurse brought the baby around Sunny just wanted to hold her but he knew they had to make sure it was okay first. "Shani." He repeated smiling through tears as he looked at his daughter. One of the nurses asked him something and he barely heard what she said. As they took Shani away and he heard her start to cry once they cleared her airway, he looked over the curtain. "Okay, Sonali is on her way out. They're trying to move her." The fear he felt moments ago was back when he saw his second daughter's head appear but it seemed to be taking longer. He looked up at the doctor and squeezed his wife's hand. "Is she okay?" He let out a breath when the doctor nodded and explained they were trying to avoid having the incision tear more. His heart was still pounding with every minute that passed and it felt like forever as he watched them. He almost couldnt look despite seeing far worse things in his life time. Then finally, he saw the baby's body when they lifted her out. "There she is.." he said to Ashi as more tears fell down his cheeks. "That's our Sonali. They're both here."
She hated seeing their daughter be taken away. She knew they needed to make sure everything was okay, but all she wanted was to have her in her arms. She squeezed Sunny's hand as she felt more pressure and tugging and heard him say their second daughter was on the way. It felt like forever before anything else and when he asked if she was okay, she looked at him. "What's wrong?" She asked and listened, fear boiling up within her. Time moved slower until finally he said there their daughter was and she looked to see Sonali in the nurses arms. "Sonali." She said and tears ran down her cheeks. "Our girls are here." She said and squeezed his hand harder.
Within minutes Sunny could hear both of their girls cries which just made his own tears come more. It meant they were alive and fine. "They're here. You did it, babe." He kissed the side of her head. "I love you so much." This was such an amazing moment for them to share seeing their daughters come into the world. Soon the nurses brought the swaddled screaming babies to them one by one. "Everything looks good so far." one of them said. She handed one baby to Ashi and Sunny reached for the other. He stared at her in his arms for a moment or two and then moved down to Ashi's level to hold her close to her. He reached over to touch the other baby's hair gently "Look how tiny they are." He said. "They're so beautiful."
Hearing their cries, she was crying more and she nodded. "They are." She closed her eyes for a moment and wiped her cheeks. "I love you too. So much." She said. While they worked on finishing things up, she saw her daughters and carefully she held one for a moment and looked between them. "They're perfect." She said and touched her daughter's cheek and then the other's hand as Sunny brought her down to her level. "We have our girls." She was so happy. She couldn't believe this had finally happened for them. It was everything she ever wanted and more. After a few minutes of bonding, the girls were taken back while they finished closing her up and started getting her ready to go back to her room. "Go with them. Make sure they're okay and I'll see you three in the room, okay? I wanna hold them both when we get there." She told Sunny while they prepared to move her.
Sunny felt lost in this moment, much like their wedding day. He knew he would never forget how he felt right now. He didn't want to leave his wife but he knew the surgery needed to be complete and he wanted it to go well. He nodded and kissed her lips. "Of course you can. We'll be waiting for you." Sunny was led to what was going to be their room for the next few nights, he would assume. He knew that the c-section was going to be a long recovery and that once the anesthesia wore off Ashi was going to be a in a lot of pain. He wanted to help as much as he could while he could. It was a few moments before the twins were wheeled into the room in their respective bassinets and a nurse explained that they had been weighed and examined and everything seemed to be fine which was a relief. He was left alone for a while and peered into the bassinets where the babies were both fussing as they adjusted to life outside of the womb. He couldn't stop looking at them with a smile pasted on his face. He gave each of them his hands and their tiny hands wrapped around one of his fingers as they started to calm a little. "Hi, girls. It's me, your Daddy." He said feeling emotional. "Let's see if I can figure this out.." he said more to himself as he picked up one baby in one arm and then picked up the other very carefully. He held sat down and held them both looking back and fourth at their little faces as he tried to keep them comfortable.
It felt like an eternity until she was wheeled towards where her husband and daughters were. She was cleaned and given a new gown so by the time she was brought into the room, she was feeling a little more fresh than before. A smile crossed her face as she saw Sunny holding their girls and and she waited for the nurses to get everything set up before leaving them be, letting them know to call if they needed anything. She looked over at them and she reached out her hands. "Alright, Mama's turn." She said; wanting desperately to hold her girls.
Sunny smiled when the nurses brought Ashi in. "Yes, it is." he said rising slowly with the girls. "I just got them quiet. We'll see how long that lasts." So far the sound of them crying and fussing didn't bother him, but he was sure that would change. He carefully handed one baby to his wife, then the other and sat next to her, watching them. "You know...I don't even know if I remember which one is which." He admitted with a bit of a laugh. "I was hoping you did, before we have their records done." He touched one of the baby's heads carefully. "This is Sonali, right? She has more hair." He could remember from how they looked coming out of his wife's stomach.
She smiled up at him. "Your first time calming them. Good job." She said and she smiled wide as she held her daughter in her arms and touched her cheek. "Oh, I know exactly who is who." She assured him. "This right here is Shani. And you're right. She's Sonali. All that hair." She laughed a little and leaned against Sunny. "They're completely perfect, aren't they? Just look at them. I imagined this for so long and I just... I never pictured this."
"It was easier than I thought." He told her. He felt a sense of relief when Ashi confirmed that he was right on which twin was which. They were not identical but he didn't want to accidentally mix them up when they were this small. He smiled softly resting his head against her shoulder as he looked at their daughters. "They are. They're perfect." he agreed. "Twenty little toes and twenty fingers. They're absolutely perfect." he smiled and put his arm around his wife to kiss her head. "My three girls. Me and Chazz are officially outnumbered." he chuckled.
"I'm going to remind you of that later." She laughed and took a deep breath while the held their girls. While it didn't happen the way she wanted, nothing could've compared to the feeling she was having right now. She had so much love for the little ones in their arms and she was so happy they were finally here. "About time I have some girl power in the house." She looked up at him. "I love you. So much."
He sighed. "Yeah, beginner's luck, I'm sure." he smirked watching the babies in her arms. He couldn't stop looking at them or believe that they were really here after nine months of waiting. It was better than he could have imagined. He chuckled. "You say that now. Wait until they're teenagers." He looked at her and smiled before kissing her lips. "I love you, too. I know this wasn't how we wanted it, but you did amazing. The girls are okay, you're okay and thats all that matters." he told her. "How's the anesthesia? Still working it's magic? I'll get them to give you a good dose of ibuprofen or something once it wears off."
"Definitely is." She laughed and groaned a little at the discomfort she was feeling. "More like grade schoolers." She corrected before kissing him back. "I know. I'm okay now." She assured him. She knew she was upset earlier, but all that was gone. It was just this blissful moment with her husband and their girls. "It's all good for now. I'm not looking forward to the the pain that's coming, though. We're two and doning this right?" She laughed a little more.
Sunny smiled. "Or even their terrible twos." he added but right now he was looking forward to all of it. The good and the bad times. He could hardley believe that they were a family now. "Yeah, I'll make sure you're well taken care of." he assurred her and he laughed. "I think this is the last time we're doing this on purpose," he said. "We'll have to be careful from now on." He sat up reaching for his phone. "Hold on, I'm gonna get some pictures." He held his phone to take one of Ashi and the girls and of the girls by themselves. "Don't worry, I won't be sending them out or posting them until whenever we wake up tomorrow. We don't need a flood of people here." He said knowing that his family especially was going to be excited. "You know, it's going to be weird for me sleeping at work. Normally I get in trouble for that." he joked.
"We get double that." She groaned a little before laugh. "There's no one I'd rather do this with though." Ashi smiled up at her husband. "What would I do without you?" She asked and leaned against him again. "Very careful. Any positive tests and I'm throwing them at you." She teased him before she grinned and smiled for him to take a picture. "Okay. And no, we don't. I don't want anyone here. Except maybe the family. Everyone else can wait." She sighed. "I told the nurses no one comes in already tonight. It's just us." She laughed and nodded. "Well, I think you get a pass tonight. You became a father, after all."
He groaned as well whens he pointed out they would get that double. "I guess maybe we it's easier to have two at once then have them a few years apart. But who knows." He wrapped his arms around her shoulders. He looked at the pictures he took. "First pictures of our babies." he commented and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. And trust me my mom alone is going to be a lot. I'm sure she's had her bags packed for weeks. Luckily it will take them about a day to come in from Colorado." He said of his family. He knew that his parents would probably stay at a hotel and maybe his sister would come if she could get away from work, but his mom was already planning to stay and help for the first couple weeks that Sunny went back to work. "Yeah, I better get out of these scrubs at some point or people will be asking me to work the whole time I'm here." He sighed and touched both of his daughter's hair. "You should get some rest while you can." he told his wife.
"I'd say we'd find out, but we may just need to ask around instead." She smiled and leaned against him while she saw the pictures. "Our girls." She said and nodded. "That's a plus. My brother's probably waiting out in the hallway. Text him we'll let him in tomorrow." She said and looked down at the babies in her arms. "You're right. Get me some water, Nurse Hussan." She teased him with a smile before nodding. "I will. I just want to hold them for a few minutes more, okay?"
"Yeah, lets do that." Sunny agreed. "Well, at least you know my mom will take care of everything while she's here. The cooking and cleaning and taking care of all three of you. I swear that woman never rests." he said and laughed. "I will if I see him." he said and gave a snort. "I'll take them off right now," he threatened and nodded. "Yeah. It's good for them to bond with you. I'd say they might be hungry but they'd be screaming if they were." he smiled a little watching their girls seeming to drift in and out of sleep and move around a little.
She laughed and took a deep breath. "I strive to be like her. Maybe in ten years." She smiled, but that sounded nice. She wasn't sure how it was all going to be like once they got home so some help was going to be amazing. "You could text him." Ashi pointed out before nodding. "Please do. I want a show. After all, I just had your babies." She teased and nodded. "I'm sure that'll be the case soon. At least I'll get relief in that department soon." She watched them. "I still just can't believe they're here."
"Maybe thats where I get it from." When he was at work, he was always keeping very busy and he didn't mind it. "Why do I have to be the bad guy?" he said with a sigh but pulled out his phone to text her brother. "Thats how we ended up like this in the first place. And it will be a while before we can do that again." he smirked at her. He didn't want to jeopardize her healing from the surgery. "I'm just sad that I have to share the boobs now." Sunny chuckled. He let out a happy sigh looking at their girls. "Let me hold one of them. I need to figure out which ones my favorite." he joked.
"Maybe. You definitely have the taking care of the three of us down." She smiled and up at him. "Because I'm holding two babies. And just went through surgery to have them." She shook her head. "You don't have to remind me. I was there. And you're right, so give me a strip tease now." She rolled her eyes at him. "You should've thought about then before you gave me twins." She carefully moved and let him hold one of their girls. "That's so mean. They're both amazing."
"Okay, fine." he muttered and sent the text. He chuckled. "Not in front of the kids. I don't want that to be the first impressopm of their father." he joked. "I didn't mean to. And who says they came from my side of the family?" he teased her knowing they both had the twin gene. He took Shani from her, enjoying the feeling of holding one of his girls. "Well, right now I can't decide. They're both too perfect." he said sincerly. "Maybe it'll go back and forth when they're older. When one of them back talks me, they won't be my favorite anymore."
She laughed and nodded. "Fine. Maybe once we're home." She gave him a look. "You're the one who knocked me up so I do." She teased back and watched him with their daughter for a moment before looking down at Sonali. "I know. And don't tell them that. It'll make them fight more."
"Maybe," he agreed. "But we only ordered one. We ended up with more than we bargained for." He said with a grin. He couldn't imagine not having one of them, even though he knew it was going to be double the work. "I won't tell them. I'll just keep it to myself." after a while, he stood gently bouncing with the baby in his arms and saw that she was asleep. "Maybe we should take advantage of them sleeping." he suggested. He tried to put Shani in her basinet but the moment his arms were not around her she started to fuss. Sunny sighed. "Oh boy. It's gonna be like that, huh?" he picked her back up. "I think we're in for a long night" he said bringing the baby back to where Ashi was.
She chuckled. "Ordered one? Is that how it works?" She raised an eyebrow up at him. She was completely happy with how it all turned out. She loved her girls more than anything else already. "Good." She felt her eyes dropping as he suggested putting the girls down so they could rest. She nodded and watched as Shani fussed when she was on her own. "I think she just needs her twin next to her. I used to have to do that with my brother. We slept together for so long." She nodded at the bassinet. "Bring it closer and put them both in. See what they do then."
"Well, we got one for free. Don't tell anyone or they might take one back." he laughed. He too was tired even though he wasnt the one who had had surgery. It had been a long day. He nodded at Ashi's suggestion. "Maybe that's it." He pulled the bassinet close to the bed Ashi was in and set the second twin down. They made a few unhappy sounds, probably confused about all their new surroundings. Sunny reached in to stroke their heads. "It's okay babies. Mom and Dad are still here, I promise." he said gently as he noticed them starting to settle.
"I don't think it's free. I don't think the medical bills will either. And one definitely isn't going to go back." She said and watched as he put Shani in the bassinet before Sonali and she smiled at them. After a few moments, they were settled and she leaned back on the pillows. "See. All they needed."
"If only it worked that way." he said. "But don't worry, I have good health insurance. They won't reposess one of them." he said lightly. Sunny smiled at the babies. Seeing them together, he couldn't help but grab his phone to take a few more pictures wanting to capture this moment. "I think my camera roll is going to be full in about a week." he chuckled. He watched them for a moment and then sat down on the couch near the bed where he would be sleeping. "Enjoy it while it lasts. I give them 30 minutes before they're awake again. If we're lucky." he added.
She nodded. "I know. And I don't think that'd be legal anyways." Ashi smiled at him and nodded. "I give it by tomorrow." She teased and moved the bed down so she could lay properly. "Then we should sleep. I love you."
"You could be right." he chuckled. "I may need to get a second phone just in case." he was very proud of his daughters already and couldn't wait to show them to the world. He nodded and stood to kiss his wofe. "Love you, too. If they wake up, I'll deal with them. You're the one who needs to sleep." he said and paused to bend down and kiss both of the baby's heads. "Goodnight, girls." he said and pulled a blanket over himself to try and get comfortable.
"Yes. That's the way to go about it." She laughed and kissed him back. "If they need fed, you'll have to wake me. Besides, I'm not sure I'll be able to sleep through crying babies." She said and looked over at him on the couch, hating he was over there, but knew she couldn't handle him in the bed with her right now. he was such a good father already, though, and she was lucky to have him. "Night."

April 1311

Joan awoke in the early hours of the morning barely able to speak from her pain. Daemon scooped her up and rushed her to the nearest physician's building - right by the almshouse and a small chapel. The King was informed of his sister's condition and he sent his finest physician to assist in her care.
But the prognosis was grim.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon couldn't hold in his panic - but he did let himself outside. As Joan was checked over, she was rather calm, by comparison. She seemed to have almost accepted any outcome that the Watcher wanted to give.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daemon was told to keep Joan moving as much as possible, but his wife was weak and couldn't move on her own. He had to support almost all of her weight. As he rocked her, he was holding back tears. . . But she was speaking to him.
"My sister is here. . . She has come to get me, my love." She mumbled against his chest.
"No. . . Joan, you mustn't talk that way."
"But it's true. My little sister is here. She needs me, Daemon. She needs me to come and guide her to Paradise's gates. She always was too scared to go new places alone, you know? I always had to accompany her. . ."
" I believe she can wait a little longer. I need you. Our children need you."
Joan went quiet at that. She knew. She knew that she couldn't fight to stay with her husband and children. Besides, they had each other. Elizabeth had nobody. Their father was well within Paradise by now, the girls would have to find him together. And honestly, she just thanks the Watcher that she got to meet her niece and nephew before it was time.

Daemon, noticing his wife's silence, realized that he had to be brave. He had to be her husband and find the strength that she needs. If this is truly a goodbye, would he ever stop regretting it if he argued with her the whole time? And if it wasn't a goodbye, then what is the harm in indulging her while she was delirious?
He cupped her face and tilted it up so their eyes met. He loved her eyes. He remembered gazing into them on their wedding day, as giddy as a teenager in love despite it being his second marriage in his 30s.
"Alright, my love. I am sorry. It was just my selfishness talking. . . I adore you. I love you, Joan. And if you do go, I will miss you more than anything else. There will never be another for me. Not even if I was offered all of the world's riches."
"Oh, you do not have to promise that. . . I want you to be happy if the opportunity arises." She mumbled, a little smile on her face. She looked truly serene. "I love you, Daemon."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their last kiss was full of a thousand of unspoken words. They had a true romance, fit for people in their younger years, and it was an amazing experience. They have a wonderful son and, with all of the physicians around, their other child has a fighting chance to stay on the Earth.
"I will come and get you when it is your time to go." She mumbled against his lips. He could feel her growing weak against him and it was a horrible feeling. Something that would stick with him forever.
"I look forward to it." He responded.
"Don't look forward to it too much. I will not be happy if you leave our children too soon." As Joan spoke, Daemon led her to the bed, laying her on it.
Her hand rested in his, smiling as she saw him looking down on her. "Remember the names we picked?"
"I do."
"Good. I love you all.... my boys...."

Petiton for surgeons to always prescribe at least a few days of good painkillers after a surgery.
Nobody should ever be told to take Tylenol or ibuprofen only following surgery, with no other option.
