I'd like to give one huge thank you to the amazing @an-artist-place-for-extra-art I commissioned this comic from her late last month.

And she delivered one of the most thrilling things I've ever seen and THEN SOME!

Felt quirky, redesigned Alduin.

Wanted to make him more worm-like. Based off the Bobbit Worm. I really wanted to give Alduin a more cosmic horror and Lovecraftian vibe. He hides in the night sky and bursts from the stars to Nirn below. His presence can be discovered by a blast of wind as cold as death itself; this wind being his tendrils sensing the mortals he is about to prey upon.

His body is very long, and from beyond the night sky it stretches and folds all throughout Sovengarde, making an obstacle for the dead to traverse over to make it to those grand halls.

ᒥ☠ᒧ— The sight before him makes his stomach churn, he is barely able to hold back a gag. It took a lot to make the infamous Blackbeard queasy, but this? Horrendous. Awful. Edward slaps a hand over his mouth and stumbles back away from the crew member.

"He's got worms!" Edward manages out before a gag does overcome him, he turns away to look anywhere else but the mess on the deck that was crawling with white worms. They twisted, wiggled, and squirmed. Ed couldn't dare look at the worm filled excrement long or he'd be losing the little breakfast he had that morning.

The hand that isn't firmly covering his mouth clasps Izzy's shoulder, squeezing. "H-He needs to go, get him off my damn ship! Right fuckin' now, Israel!" Ed barks out the order, unable to deal with the ill crew member himself. It was Izzy's job to do the dirty work, and this work would be absolutely foul.

Edward moves over to the lower deck wall, leaning on it as he battled his churning stomach. As if he'd allow himself to look like a sissy throwing up at the very sight of intestinal worms. "We're gonna have to burn this fuckin' ship, straight to ashes!" He goes on yelling, there being a slight muffle as he kept his hand firmly clasped over his mouth.

Anyway, spoilers for both books, but, if you like the themes of toxic, codependent and yet beautifully monstrous relationships with one of the parts getting gleefully infected with parasitic worms as a form of parenthood, may I suggest you read Octavia Butler's Bloodchild instead of Eric LaRocca's Things Have Gotten Worse Since We Last Spoke?

it was around the time where "is it cake?" was a trending thing.. You know the era on the internet where people would cut into things and reveal it to be cake?

Well imagine that era but there was an additional modifier in the question: Is it cake... or worms...?

And there were videos and even game shows where thats the main question, and you could imagine the terrible ending where it's revealed the thing has a mass of writhing worms in it
