July 19, 1922 Krazy Kat by George Herriman
[ID: Krazy has an enlightening conversation out in the middle of a field with Professor Wagg. He listens intently, hands on his hips, while Wagg gestures behind his back. Ignatz stands there, looking on, intrigued. /end] Krazy: So you removed "Offissa Pupp's" astral body from his real body, heh, Professa Wagg? Wagg: I sure have, "Krazy," and his astral body is now walking around on his beat. Ignatz: Oh ho.
[ID: Krazy and Prof. Wagg walk off-panel together. Ignatz stays put. /end] Wagg: Every body will think it is really "Officer Pupp," but as a matter of fact, it is only his aura, his astral body. His ectoplasm. Just a mere jelly. Ignatz: Quince jelly, I'll bet.
[ID: Ignatz sprints away. /end] Ignatz: Here's where I get myself busy.
[ID: Ignatz ZIPs a brick at the back of Officer Pupp's head. It lands with a WAM, knocking him forward. /end] Ignatz: That for you, you jelly "kop." Pupp: ?
[ID: Pupp pins Ignatz to the ground and savagely beats him with his baton. /end]
[ID: Ignatz angrily ZIPs another brick at the back of Prof. Wagg's head - he's still walking with Krazy. /end] Wagg: Some day, I'm going to remove "Mr. Ignatz Mouse's" astral body. Krazy: Oh, wun't that be nize. Ignatz: Faker.

Thailand: Oh God! What happen with me!? Why did my fire of democracy where is shining in myself, it will to be down again!? Oh, my God!? Why did I feel to be blue again? And will I back to be hurt again!? Thailand: I will to be disappointing, will I not? I am to be living the darkness for 8-years ago, am I not? I hope, I will not be seeing many angers people who protesters got violence by police. Because they have waited with their voices heard by election for voting a new government by themselves. But the Senates did not care their voices. Their reason that -- "The people's voices is just a little voice." Thailand: I hope, the fire that will be shine up again until they are know that -- "Sovereignty belongs to the people." Neko!Thailand: Oh nooo!! We will be to disappear again!!? I don't want to be living in that place again!! Elephant!Thailand: ***He feels disappointed.***

A police officer shoots his ex boyfriend and partner with his police issued gun and the grieving queer community BEGS for them not to march in pride because we literally just lost two of our own, and there's absolutely no sympathy from the cops? I'm not surprised, but I'm disgusted and appalled. ACAB includes queer cops too.

vigilante shit | devilhawk (cont. from here)
@defectivexfragmented
Tumblr media
Manhattan wasn't even his second choice of boroughs, but curiosity about its new masked vigilante had him occasionally haunting its rooftops for a glimpse of him. Clint wasn't going to bother him. Probably. Maybe if there was an actual crime happening in front of him (besides, y'know, vigilantism, but pot/kettle). He knew better than to believe everything the papers said. Shit, the news dragged the Avengers all the time, and they were really just glorified, government sanctioned vigilantes themselves. He'd rather come to his own conclusions about it, but that required more information. And what good was it being a spy if he couldn't gather a little intel?
Unfortunately, he couldn't just drop his whole life to stalk a man in a mask. He'd been out for a couple weeks on a mission and came back with the bandages to prove it, his ribs still twinging under his shirt from the ass-kicking he'd taken. He was balancing along the edge of a rooftop like it was a tightrope, quick, unhesitating steps taking him closer to the flashing lights before he crouched down to take a closer look at the scene. Two cops with guns on what looked like an unarmed man really made him sad for his city. Reading lips wasn't an exact science, especially at that distance in the rain, but the fact that they were familiar helped. He'd have bet money the guy was actually praying. Looked like a real hardened killer, right there.
"Wow, I'm gone for five minutes and the city goes to hell. Why did nobody introduce me to the new vigilante? There should be a phone tree for this kind of shit." He was talking to himself under his breath, one of Clint's many annoying habits, as he drew an arrow and knocked it, letting out his breath as he sighted and let it fly, the others following in rapid succession. The first was basically just low-level fireworks, more light and sound than actual power. He didn't want anyone's trigger fingers getting twitchy on the masked man while he shot the others. The rest were simple electrical arrows, on par with being tased, and three of the policeman dropped like sacks of potatoes-- much like Clint as he descended from the roof, sliding down the fire escape a little faster than he meant to. He landed on his feet and staggered, wincing as the movement pulled at some injuries. "Aw, stitches, no." If he opened those up again, Nat was going to kill him.

The Tyre Nichols Memorial Fund
Tyre Nichols was loved by his community and was known to be gentle, kind, and joyful. He loved skating and was originally from the Bay Area in California. He was known as someone “you know when he comes through the door he wants to give you a hug” and that “he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”
“He had never been in trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket. He was an honest man, a wonderful son, and kind to everyone. He was quirky and true to himself, and his loss will be felt nationally.”
Btw, the link includes a photo of graphic injuries. View with discretion.

Quick post on what's happening in Atlanta right now
So there's this beautiful trail in Atlanta called the South River Forest Trail. As we all know, Atlanta Georgia is renowned for their tree cover and historic forests.
The City of Atlanta and corporations like Delta, AT&T and Amazon are funding a massive police training center that will destroy the forest.
Dubbed ‘cop city’ by many protesters, this will cost about $90 million  to build. This will be used to further militarize Atlanta’s police leading to more incidents of police brutality in the city.
On January 18th indigenous activist Manuel “Tortuguita” Teran was shot and killed by the police for defending this historic forest from destruction. Their reason? “He did not comply” (Tort went by They/them/it but report said “he”). Many protests have been going on in Atlanta to defend this forest.
Since Tortuguita's death, the situation has quickly deteriorated
This forest is very dear to me but I am unable to physically protest at the moment, so I am handing this off to Tumblr to spread awareness. Rebloging this may help this tragedy become part of national news instead of just an Atlanta problem.

Ryan was also a cross-country running enthusiast who aspired to study engineering. He was murdered heartlessly -lynched by a cop, who are now trying to carefully justify this by saying HE was the violent one... Ryan was on the spectrum of autism, and he was triggered by something before his killers arrived -and although he was being calmed by his father, he became very understandably upset when the cops arrived -and instead of LEAVING Ryan alone and calling in for additional mental health support -and attempting to de-escalate the situation a cop shot him at least 3 times. WTF can a garden tool have on a fucking gun? And not only did these cops LET Ryan bleed to death on the ground, the Sheriff's department has yet to release a full, unedited bodycam video to the family.
The cops have been called a handful of times previously, so they knew Ryan had autism. These cops need to be held accountable, and there needs to be better interventions with mental health crises. Cops should NEVER be on the front lines for this. They're not educated, trained, or have the abilities to help people -especially kids and youths in vulnerable situations.
Ryan, may you rest in peace and power.

I made an illegal u-turn to get on some kind of exit ramp, kind of accidentally cut someone off but they just pulled around me and sped away. A little further down the road I come upon that same person pulled over by a traffic cop, see their hand sticking out their window pointing at me, then the cop gestures for me to pull over also. I thought I was gonna get a ticket but the cop just wanted to referee while we fought to the death.

Danver’s specific brand of racism is so intrenched in love it’s fascinating. Her daughter is precious to her and her daughter is Indigenous and in this town, an Indigenous woman is not viewed as a precious thing. They are abused and raped and murdered and therefore, being white is the ‘better’ choice. She is actively whitewashing her daughter, not only because she’s afraid of what she doesn’t understand and because of typical coloniser mentality, but because she doesn’t want to lose her. Danvers can’t distance Indigenous identity from white violence and it’s killing what she loves.

I do want to object to the idea that it’s easy and safe to protest in France tho. And that our beloved anti-riot police isn’t also pretty militarised…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at that last picture, look at the hatred on the face of the police officer, and look how those protesters seem dangerous and armed to the teeth. A perfectly proportionate answer right?
Tumblr media
They just ordered a bunch of these for “peacekeeping”.
This is going on all over the world. This isn’t a US-vs-France thing. If you’re not part of the richest 1% or a cop, we’re in it together 🤝

I was doing some research asking if autistic people can be on the swat team. This is what I found.
Probably not. The reason is the word “liability.”
In the world of law enforcement, the word liability gets thrown around more than brickbats at a Democrat-led riot in a Democrat controlled city just before election time.
If you were even on the edge of any police involved shooting at all, if some private practice attorney found out that you had autism of any kind, he would use that autism like a sledgehammer on you, the police agency that hired you and against the public/prosecutor’s office. He would beat you into the ground with your autism like it was a weapon. Trust me on this next one, any police officer who gets involved in a shooting gets put under a microscope long before a trial. Before you testify, anywhere in a court the defense will know things about you that your mom doesn’t know. Hell, they’ll make up stuff about you and use it against you just to make you and your agency look bad.
What I’m trying to alert you to is that while you have high functioning autism, and that’s a good thing, you could hurt a police agency in ways that you don’t understand if somebody finds out about it.
Good job I have no intention of ever joining the police then
