if i was taika waititi and jemaine clement and made a prototype short film in 2005 of a genuinely funny and interesting idea for a vampire mockumentary based on a series of standup bits we'd done together then decided to make it into a feature with heartfelt and emotional moments and a truly new look at vampires in general but then. in the time between the original short film and actually completing the feature film the entire twilight saga came out and immediately fatigued the whole world on the concept of vampires. god i'd be so mad. the injustice of it all

I saw that you mentioned glee in your post about your fan cast for the twilight movie.

What gifts would the glee club members have if they were vampires? If the Cullen family broke up and Edward had nowhere to go, would Edward join the club to express his angst? I feel like Edward would view Mr. Shue as a father, like he does with Carlisle.

Rachel already has a gift, it's the power of making people think she's the best singer in the room when she's clearly not.

As for the Cullens, the beautiful thing is that they would fit right in with the Glee club. The members are all, with the sad pit of despair known as Quinn excepted, insane in their own way, the Cullens wouldn't stand out at all.

Sadly, they would never join of their own accord as they view the whole thing as beneath them. They wouldn't be at McKinley at all, it's always sunny at that school. Similarly, if the Cullens break up for whatever reason, I don't really think Glee club is going to be Edward's next move.

If, however, McKinley is in a more vampire-friendly climate and the Cullens are in attendance, and if Mr. Shue planted weed on them to force them to join, we get truly beautiful drama as Rosalie would project a little too much on Quinn and hate on her for giving up her baby, Rachel would be in a horrible love triangle of doom because Finn is her one true love but EDWAAARD (Edward has no idea she feels this way), and Brittany figures out right away the Cullens are all vampires but nobody believes her.

I'll forever find it funny that 2005-2010 was practically a decade for werewolves. Sega releasing Altered Beast/Project Altered Beast on January 27th 2005, with Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess came out which was November 19th 2006 and Sega gave us Sonic Unleashed in November 18th 2008. They literally gave us three different kinds of werewolves in a span of 3 years. Warning for anyone who decides to watch the Altered Beast transformation, be ready for super gorey body horror!

A bioengineered light element werewolf transformation in Altered Beast. Most painful transformation out of the three.

A sacred wolf bearing the marks of twilight in Twilight Princess. Least painful transformation.

Finally a Werehog fueled by the powers of a Dark God but made tame through a heroic heart in Sonic Unleashed. Middle ground for painful transformation.

I fucking love videogames.
