Poly Emmett+ Rosalie+ fem reader or poly Alice+ Jasper fem reader nsfw headcannon please 🤍 Also happy Valentine's day love 💕
anon ur mind 🗣️🗣️🗣️ i decided to do both bc i have no self-control when it comes to horny thoughts abt vampires and i have many ideas i want to share !!!
fem!reader, smut/fluff, 3-person sex, oral mentions, dirty talk, mentions of being both human/vampire!
rosalie and emmett are very dedicated and somewhat domineering lovers. rosalie calls most of the shots whereas emmett tends to get lost in the pleasure and passion of the situation, leading to him doing whatever feels right in the moment. put these two together and prepare to melt from how flustered they’ll get you. their forms of teasing differ but impact you all the same, leaving your skin warm and your thighs clenched.
“look at her,” rosalie hums, tracing a perfectly manicured nail down the side of your leg. “i don’t think i’ve ever seen her this needy, have you?” she completely ignores the expression of embarrassment that crosses your face, waiting on her other lover for a response.
“begging for it,” emmett agrees, with a grin.
+ rosalie loves riding faces and will take the opportunity every time, squeezing emmett’s or your cheeks between her thighs. she also enjoys telling emmett exactly how to touch you and instructing the two of you for her own pleasure. emmett’s favorite time is whenever you both tease and play with him (or each other) and spoil him rotten. if you’re still human, expect unending gentleness. if you’re a vampire, especially newly-turned, prepare to not leave the bed for a week. lastly, get used to the nicknames “honey” and “baby” since they’re all you’ll be hearing ♡
alice and jasper have two different modes when it comes to sex: playful and the physical representation of a mindfuck. when they’re playful, expect lots of giggles from alice and flustered smiles from jasper, who is always left a little light-headed from the outpour of emotions that fill the room. there are lots of kisses, breathy moans, and teasing on days like these. but when they’re in a mindfuck mood, prepare for your soul (if you still have one) to leave your body. alice knows exactly how to pick you apart and jasper can crank your arousal up to an almost unbearable level, leaving you desperate for every ounce of attention they give you.
“shh, dearest,” alice soothes you, dainty fingers circling your slickened core. you’ve lost track of just how many times she’s brought you over the edge, but your body quivers with the anticipation of another orgasm.
jasper kisses your temple with a lopsided smile and you feel the rumble of his voice against your skin. “s’alright darlin, we’ll take care of you.”
+ alice and jasper are very clingy in the bedroom and you’ll often find yourself sandwiched between them and their wandering hands. they also need to see your face and will always position you in a way that gives them full access to all of your expressions and provides them with the sensual eye-contact they adore so much ♡
Hii could I request a Carlisle Cullen x reader where it’s just really fluffy? They’ve been married for centuries but are still in their “honeymoon phase” which everyone admires (or are jealous of hahaha) you can do whatever you want, i just need fluff🥰 - @peterwandaparker 💜
You’d been away for a while visiting some of your friends you hadn’t seen for a few years.
When you came home, you found Carlisle stood at the doorway with a bunch of wild flowers in his hands.
“What’re you doing love?” You chuckled.
Carlisle wondered over, standing behind you as he started to place the flowers in your hair.
“I decided to pick a flower for each day you were away. Just as something to do to pass the time.”
“And working isn’t enough?”
You hummed, waiting for him to finished before turning around, wrapping your arms around his neck.
Carlisle hummed, pressing a kiss to your forehead, nose and finally lips before he pulled away slightly.
“You’re very cheesy.”
“You love me though.” He smiled.
Carlisle picked you up, and carried you inside while you closed your eyes, leaning your head against his chest.
“How’re you to still so happy?” Emmett chuckled.
“It’s called being in love.” You mused.
Carlisle set you down and wrapped and arm around your waist as he rested his head on your shoulder.
Leaning back in his touch, you watched as the others all came around.
“I hope to be that happy in years to come.” Alice smiled.
“I think we all do.” Edward nodded.
Everyone smiled as they looked at the pair of you.
You were literally like two kids in love, always small gestures and reminding one another that you’re perfect and that you love each other.
You made your way over to the balcony and rested your arms on the rail and Carlisle walked over to stand with you flicking his eyes to you with a smile on his face.
You were absolutely perfect standing there with that smile on your face.
You flicked your gaze to him before looking away, lightly bumping your hip against yours.
“Stop staring Cullen.”
“Come on, can’t I look at my wife?”
You rolled your eyes and took his hand in yours as you held it.
Nearly two hundred years and your still amazed as to how you landed this man
Request: Okay so like I'm obsessed with the idea of poly Volturi kings with a shifter reader. Like the idea of the reader resting at the base of their thrones in animal form while trials take place? Mmm. Or when the reader gets restless from being cooped up inside all the time, all four go for a vacation in the wilderness and just let loose? maybe they can meet because the reader is the daughter of a leader of a shifter tribe that has come to form a treaty with the Volturi?
Warning: death, extreme fluff, and slight angst.
An: I am so sorry this took so long darling; I rewrote this so many times and I finally got to a point where I felt comfortable posting. I hope you enjoy my lovelies!
Soft chuffs of bliss vibrated in the ears of the immortals as they stood in their places around the throne room, many wore an expression of adoration as they chose to listen to that instead of the pitiful pleading of those on trial throughout the day.
Once the doors shut on yet another guilty party being taken to the dungeons Marcus let out a huff to release his growing aggravation, his tense expression softened immediately when he felt a pressure on his lap.
Turning his attention to the large feline whose head laid happily on his lap, A warm smile pulled at his lips as he began to run his fingers through its fur.
"I’m alright Mia Regina, just one more and then we may retire to my chambers." The Tiger hummed as it looked up at him, ensuring his words were truthful so she wouldn’t need to worry.
To unknowing witnesses, seeing a jungle cat in Volterra Italy surrounded by bloodthirsty vampires, you'd be rightfully alarmed.
But to any who lived in the supernatural world, this was the most important creature on the planet. Protected by not only the vampire race, but any who have met her.
To say she was a well-loved queen would be a horrible understatement, The appearance of a beast she took but inside she held the heart of an angel.
And that heart belonged to the three most feared men on earth.
"My sweet, come to me." Aro called out, beaming when the tigress looked at him.
Marcus growled at him for stealing her attention, watching with a slight pout as she slowly stood and trotted over to the raven-haired king.
Aro leaned downward and took her fluffy cheeks in his hands, pressing his face into her fur as he read through her thoughts of the day.
He chuckled at the quips she had made for a few guilty parties that now were being disposed of in the dungeons furnace, feeling prideful that no one but he was able to hear his queens' witty remarks.
He always found joy in his wife's humor, finding it as a breath of fresh air during on the gloomiest of days.
"As delightful as always my beloved." Pressing a kiss to her snout he leaned back as she moved on to her final lover, who did not bother to hide his mischievous smirk as he eyed her approaching form.
Unbothered as she lifted the front half of her torso up so that her body covered his, completely hidden to those who would enter now.
"Hello Kitty." He teased, biting back his laughter when she huffed at him for the nickname.
"Don't rile her up brother, we still have one last trial to get through and can't have you sitting there with ripped clothes." Aro warned though even he knew when it came to those two, he might as well be talking to a wall.
Ignoring his brothers' words Caius leaned forward and buried his face in the fur of her chest, fingers tangling into her sides as she plopped her head atop his. Panting wildly as he scratched her sweet spots, tail swooshing faster as she tried to keep herself standing.
"You're just jealous that she loves me more." Caius teased earning a growl from his brothers.
As the last trial commenced Caius continued to rake his skilled fingers through my fur as I laid beside his throne listening as Aro's commanding voice filled the air, "We have come to our final decision. Young Ivan for your crimes against your coven and our kind as a whole, you have been sentenced to death. Felix."
Screams of defiance echoed in the marble throne room as the guard followed his king's demand, ridding the criminal vampire of his head.
When Caius's hand left my fur I plopped onto my side, letting out a soft huff at the blissful feeling of the cold across my body. Demetri was standing guard on the other side of my ferocious king, seeing as he was one of my personal guards he was never far.
It had been a little over 5 and a half years since I met my imprints and became queen.
My father wasn't very pleased by this fact since he expected me to take over as the leader of the pack when he passed. But I didn't belong there...my rightful place was right here with my wonderful husbands.
There was only one thing I did not like about my life here in Volterra...the humans.
My tribe resided in the jungles of India it was perfect cover for our kind as we took the form of different jungle cats. But here in Italy there was no way that I could go out without causing a scene, meaning I was stuck cooped up in this castle.
There was only so many times you could run through the same halls before it drove you crazy.
"Il Mio Amore?" My head snapped up to see Marcus watching me with slight worry, leaning forward to peer at me when he noticed that I had been still for too long.
Aro's attention was now on me after hearing his brother's tone, he stood up and knelt down to my side. I looked up tiredly at him as he placed his hands on my cheeks.
His eyes grew distant as his fingers ran through my fur, a yawn rumbled from my throat as I leaned into his touch.
He looked down at me sadly, standing up he looked over at Demetri, "Why don’t you take the queen out to the gardens for some fresh air, we’ll send the twins to stand in for you if you are needed.” Demetri nodded and waited for me to lazily stand up before leading the way out.
Once the doors shut behind us Aro turned back to face his fellow kings. "What did you see brother?” Caius inquired, Worried for his queen and mate.
“It would seem that our darling (Y/n) has been growing rather restless lately.” Aro commented, his brows furrowed as he went over the thoughts of his mate again.
"I have noticed as well, brother...Her animal side craves freedom. Perhaps it is time to take a much-needed break?" Marcus hummed knowing it would be the best option for their queen, and the smiles that formed on his brother's faces assured him they would not argue against it.
“I believe I have a few calls to make.” Aro said bidding his brothers A-dew while he made preparations.
“My queen, you can shift back now. I have ensured no one will disturb you.” Demetri stated, placing a black silk slip dress on the stone bench he turned his back to give me privacy while I transformed back.
“Thank you, Demetri. You’re safe to look now.” I spoke smoothly after I pulled the dress over my curves before laying back on the bench.
“Are you alright madame?” The blonde asked walking closer and blocking the sun from blinding me as I looked up at him.
“Just tired darling, nothing to worry about.” He didn't seem convinced but let it be as he looked up at the sky. "It's nice out, wouldn't you rather run around the garden?"
Letting out a hum I covered my face with my arm, "I’m not feeling it today dear; I think I’m just going to sunbathe for a while.”
His brows furrowed in concern, clearly worried by his queens sudden change of character from my usual energetic self.
From the corner of his eye, he spotted Felix signaling him, "Excuse me for one moment my queen.” Not waiting for a reply he sped over to his friends side.
“What happened? Do the kings need me?” Felix shook his head gave him a look before making sure their queen wasn’t listening.
“The kings have an island just outside of Rio, the kings plan on bringing her there for a vacation.” Demetri caught himself before he could gasp, "Oh she is going to love that! Perhaps this is just what she needs to get back to her old self again?”
Felix hummed in agreement, "Let us hope, my friend. For her sake as well as all of ours.”
After another hour I decided to retire to my bedroom, I was surprised however to see my blonde king running around my room throwing my things into suitcases.
"Caius why are you packing my things? Is there a mission?" His head snapped up when I entered the room, a smile that he showed only when we were alone appeared. "No Dearest, not a mission. Come sit."
Motioning to the bed he watched as I walked deeper into the room and sat on the edge.
Appearing in front of me he knelt down and took my hands, Eyes soft as he saw the tiredness in mine.
"We have noticed how restless you've become being stuck in the castle for so long." My smile fell and before I could open my mouth, he sent me a look. "Don't argue because everyone has noticed it, you feel trapped...confined. Something we never wanted you to feel."
He lifted my hands up to his lips, kissing each knuckle with utter worship. "We wish to take you to one of our islands by Rio. The plan is to stay there for a month, to which you will be able to run free and without worry as much as you want."
My eyes widened in awe as his words processed in my mind.
"Oh Caius..." He smiled as tears filled my eyes, pulling me into his tight embrace as he stood up. "I've been so tired..." He hugged me tighter, "I know my love, just know that the next time you feel like this...tell us. We are your mates, your lovers, your husbands. We wish to be there for you as you are for us."
Wiping away my tears he cupped my cheeks and brought me in for a kiss, "We love you more than anything kitty, and I cannot wait to see you in your element."
The ocean air hit me like a wave the moment I stepped out of the private jet, shutting my eyes as I soaked in the warmth.
"Darling, would you prefer to go directly to the house or run around a bit first?" Marcus asked as he appeared at my side, happy to see a hint of his wife's true self finally coming back.
"You already know which one I'll pick don't you?" His only answer was a smirk, holding out his hand I quickly shed my jewelry and cape and handed them to him.
"Go wild my love." Placing a kiss on his lips I laughed happily before running.
Rips and tears filled the air as I shifted, falling to all fours as I ran faster. Time seemed to slow as the wind slipped through my fur, a feeling of bliss that I haven't felt in a long time.
This sense of relief...not having to fear being seen by humans.
God had I missed this feeling.
"I suppose we do not need to fear if we made the right choice or not." Aro hummed as he and Caius joined their brothers side.
"I doubt we do, Look at her..." Caius stated watching their wife in awe.
Marcus hummed in agreement, "She is finally herself again, our beautiful (Y/n)."
REQUEST: “I don't want to go into too much detail as I want you to have as much flexibility as possible but I was thinking of a twilight one shot where the reader is Carlisle Cullen's mate but Carlisle is married to Esme. Esme and Carlisle love each other and so it's really awkward because they don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but the mate bond is interrupting things and making Carlisle and Esme question themselves?
So this is just sad and... Well, I hope you like it. (Don't know if I'm going to write more but for a second I thought about connecting this to my twilight series... haha)
Also... I can't really remember who asked this request so... I'm sorry about that. Still, I hope you are still a follower, and well... if this is your request, please let me know.
The other woman has time to manicure her nails
The other woman is perfect where her rival fails
And she's never seen with pin curls in her hair, anywhere.
How did you end up like this? How did you end up mixing yourself in this mess? In the middle of two persons that were happy before he met you. All of this while trying to break them apart but at the same time not wanting to hurt them… Loving when he decided to pay attention to you and ignored her complaints about you visiting them so often and eventually living in the same house… Hating the fact of seeing her sad face when she felt neglected by him, but also not wanting to give up on your mate… her husband. Carlisle.
Of course, when you two met each other, you didn’t expect it to happen. At least not so fast. After all, when you heard of finding your mate, you heard that it usually took a little bit of time. That after meeting a few times, there was a spark and then you knew. But it didn’t. There was a spark when you met him, of course. But it was so quickly… You just saw him and he saw you, and then your eyes went dark with lust, your chest hurt as if your heart was trying to run away, but that was impossible… You were dead, your heart would never beat again but at that moment it felt like you were alive again. He felt it too, his right hand went up and grabbed his chest as if it was painful, he looked at you like you were the most wonderful jewel in the world, but then he frowned and looked away.
That confused you. Why wasn’t he running towards you and hugging you? Why did he frown? Was something wrong with you? Weren’t you what he expected? Maybe he wasn’t willing to mate with another man, or maybe he didn’t like how you looked. While you thought about it he just stayed there, in silence, not even trying to know your name, not even acknowledging the fact that his mate was in front of him, ready for him, waiting for him, wanting him. Rejection cut through you like a knife and you couldn’t help but let out a soft but obviously pained whimper. This made him look in your way, a worry painted on his face before scolding his expression and trying to look unaffected. But you saw him react, you knew that he wanted to console you… Then why didn’t he?
After a few minutes, every question that was running around your mind was answered, in the worst way possible, but answered anyway. A woman, no, she wasn’t a normal woman. A female vampire, that you had to admit was really beautiful, came running with a smile on her face, just a few seconds later she hugged the blonde vampire in front of you, and when you thought that it was ridiculous feeling jealous over a hug (like you, even if you didn’t want to, were feeling), she turned around and kissed him in the lips, whispering a soft “I missed you, honey”. That wasn’t the most painful thing… Not at all. What hurt you the most was seeing him kissing the other vampire back and showing her a small smile. Another whimper left your lips and made him turn again to look at you.
“Well, fuck...” you said while closing your hands into fists and trying to control yourself from telling the woman in front of you to walk away and leave your mate… The woman that kissed your mate, the woman who was leaving all her scent in his clothes, the woman that was acting as he belonged to her even if she wasn’t his mate… If you had to be honest, you wanted to rip her head off. You were hurt. You were in pain that you couldn’t describe and you knew that if you could, you would cry your heart out.
The blonde man, the gorgeous man in front of you, your mate… showed you his hands, delicately pushing the female vampire away and walking towards you. All of this slowly, almost as if he was trying to calm you down. The woman that looked at the scene in front of her with a confused expression on her face, on the face that you wanted to smack. You couldn’t help it, the claim that she did just a few seconds ago was fresh in your mind while you tried your best to be comprehensible. The blonde vampire walked a bit closer to you and his smell almost surrounded you, making you feel at home. He apparently felt the same because his hand moved a bit closer to you, ready to grab you and pull you in his arms.
“Esme… I need you to walk and put yourself far from me…” The blonde man said softly, his eyes moved from you to her, looking quite caring towards the female, and making you feel so confused. After all, as soon as he looked at you again, he had a frown on his face. Why did he look at her like that and frowned when he looked at you? You were his mate, you were his destiny, not that woman. Your anger was slowly coming back and suddenly you only thought about how you could kill that woman in the most painful and horrible way. Vampire instincts and jealousy sucks. After all, the woman seemed to be so caring and kind.
“You and I… we need to talk…” said your mate while looking at you with a soft smile, it was a fake smile but still, he was smiling towards you and that was so special, that felt so special, and your anger went away and you couldn’t help but to ask in your mind if his real smiles would feel better.
The other woman enchants her clothes with French perfume
The other woman keeps fresh cut flowers in each room
There are never toys that's scattered everywhere
“Carlisle!” You said with a smile on your face while hugging the blonde vampire. This was your alone time with the man.
Almost instantly, his arms surrounded your body. You could feel him breathing your scent. You knew he loved smells that reminded him of his time around the world. So you made sure to smell like french perfume, or night-blooming jasmine, just so he could think of his time in Greece. He kept you close to him, looking at your golden eyes before kissing you. You pulled your head back so you could return his kiss happily, letting out a soft humming noise before pulling away delicately and smiling at him.
“I missed you so much…” You said while closing your eyes, feeling his caresses over your skin and hair.
“How are you, love?” The taller vampire asked while pulling you towards the couch of the house that you were living in. Instantly you gave him a glass of wine, full of blood. You knew didn’t drink human blood, so it was from an animal. Also, since he didn’t have a preferred animal, but he also said before that drinking from deers seemed to be relaxing, you made sure that the blood was from that animal.
He sat down, pulling you in his lap and then taking the glass from your hands while looking at you with those gorgeous golden eyes and a grateful smile on his face. He seemed genuinely interested in your day so you told him about it, about how you were able to pretend to be human for a while and help in the nurse room from the hospital, about how you were helping the kids in the hospital to have a nice time while being treated. As soon as you said that, he looked so proud of you. He complimented you, which made you beam with happiness. Carlisle looked at you with so much devotion before kissing your lips, leaving the glass on the small table in front of you and starting to make out.
You closed your eyes and kept kissing him while caressing his hair and neck, scratching his skin delicately in the way you knew he liked. One of the things that you loved about being with him was that he listened to you. He showed that he cared for you. Not only because you were his mate, but also because he seemed to genuinely love you.
Of course, this couldn’t last forever. Even if you wanted to. You were kissing when he pulled back and put you on the couch, moving his own body a little bit far from you. He looked worried and even guilty. You were about to go back to his lap when you heard the front door opening. You looked at the door, noticing how Esme was coming inside. She was humming happily until she noticed you two and she stopped in her steps, looking quite uncomfortable… and obviously, Carlisle, the ever gentleman, stood up and went to her, greeting her and helping her with the things she had in her hands. It wasn’t like she needed help, but Carlisle helped her nonetheless.
Then he kissed her, almost like a routine. You knew it was logical that he cared about her. After all, she was his wife, but still, you couldn’t help but feel bitter while seeing them acting so comfortable together. It was like you weren’t necessary, it was like you were a burden. It hurt you in ways you couldn’t even explain. Esme seemed to remember that you were on the couch, looking at them since she was the one who pulled away and looked at you with an apologetic expression on her face. She was about to say sorry when you stood up and grabbed the bags from Carlisle’s hands, greeting Esme and starting to take the things she brought to the other room. You could feel Carlisle guilty expression burning against your back as soon as you turned to avoid looking at their loving actions.
Soon enough, you were sitting together while doing different things. You were sketching some anatomy drawings, trying to be more exact so it would be helpful for your work, Carlisle was reading some medicine book and Esme was sewing some patterns on a piece of fabric. It seemed like a common picture. The happy friends. Well… more like the happy couple and the friend they couldn’t get rid of. Of course, you knew that the last thought was filled with your insecurities. You looked at Carlisle for a few seconds, you were thinking of something that would help you to have some alone time… maybe try to connect more as mates.
“Carlisle… I was thinking… maybe we could go on a trip? …Just for a few days” You added the last part after thinking for a few seconds. Maybe this way, he would accept to go along with you, knowing that he wouldn’t be leaving his wife for too long. Of course, as soon as you finished asking, Esme stopped his work and she looked up to you and Carlisle. Carlisle also stopped reading and put the book down while looking at your hopeful eyes.
“(Y/N)... You know we have work and… Esme has to do some stuff around the house… we can’t really go out.” He said with an apologetic smile on his face.
“But we’ve been working so much and… we could ask for a couple of days off… and well… I was thinking that this could be something between you and me…” You explained softly. Maybe you were acting a bit pushy, maybe it was a bit rude that you were making plans in front of Esme… but if you had to be honest, not being able to spend any time with your mate before she interrupted was becoming quite hurtful. Carlisle looked so shocked when you finished talking that you couldn’t help but think you made a mistake. Esme also looked surprised but then she lowered her gaze, it seemed that she was a bit embarrassed.
“Excuse me… I believe this is a conversation between the two of you…” she said with a small and delicate smile before standing up and going to her room, the room she shared with Carlisle the times he wasn’t in your room. As soon as she left, after being almost stopped by Carlisle, the blonde vampire turned to look at you with a serious expression on his face.
“We can’t do that… (Y/N), you know that when we agreed to be mates, I already had Esme and I’m not planning to leave her alone to spend some time on a whim…” He said looking tired.
“A whim? Do you think this is a whim? I just want to spend some alone time with my mate… is that so wrong?” You asked, feeling hurt over the fact that he didn’t seem to care about having a relationship with you.
“It is a whim. We spend a lot of time together, just because you can have in mind the fact that I have a wife and that I had a wife for longer than the time I know you, it doesn’t mean that you can just exclude her from all your plans” Carlisle said while looking at you with a disappointed expression on his face.
“I know that she’s your wife! I know it! I have to live with the fact that my mate, the one that was meant for me is in love with someone else, I have to live knowing that you will never be fully mine because you are in love and married to this woman, and I’m nothing but a burden, like a fucking mistress that you have to keep happy because she knows some secret of yours…” You said while standing up and looking at the other vampire with a hurt expression on your face. Carlisle looked quite shocked at your sudden yell. Of course, he wasn’t used to you being mad. After all, you always tried to show him your best face, to show him whatever he wanted just so he didn’t leave you. You couldn’t afford him leaving you… or at least you used to think that. At this point, him being with you only because of an ancestral obligation while loving someone else hurted more than the idea of him leaving you.
With that thought in mind, you turned and walked towards your room, knowing that if you said anything else, you could ruin everything forever. And even while you walked away, you were hurt by the fact that he didn’t even try to stop you as he did with Esme.
And when her old man comes to call
He finds her waiting like a lonesome queen
'Cause to be by her side
It's such a change from old routine
You were packing your things, unable to stop yourself from sobbing. It wasn’t like you could cry, that was true, but still, the pain that you were feeling at the moment made you wish you were alive so you could cry your heart out.
You made sure to start packing and grabbing your things when Esme and Carlisle were out. Because even if he couldn’t leave Esme alone to go on a silly trip with you, he could go out with her while leaving you. You let out a bitter laugh and then looked at your suitcases. There were only three. Three suitcases could fit your whole time with your mate. Maybe not buying things and keeping everything so organised was the clue that you needed to see to know that you didn’t really belong there.
Unable to stop your mind from torturing yourself you started to look at the pictures that you had with the other man. He looked happy, that was a fact… but, was he happy because he loved you? Or because he felt that he needed to be happy with his mate? You caressed the face of the blonde vampire in the pictures and let out a soft laugh, then you closed your eyes for a few seconds. You looked so happy by his side, like a pretty little ornament, a thing to hang close to you and show off. You knew that Carlisle didn’t really see you like that. You weren’t a thing for him. But you weren’t his love either. You looked at the picture once again and then decided to put it inside one of the suitcases. At least to have a memory of what you could have but couldn’t take by force.
You stood up, looking at what was meant to be your room with Carlisle and noticed how some things that weren’t yours were laying there. You knew that Carlisle wouldn’t notice your absence until later. Maybe tomorrow… He was going to be so busy with Esme and his son. You heard them say that they were going to visit his son and daughter… some Edward and maybe, Rose… You weren’t sure, you didn’t really hear them correctly because you wanted to avoid to look at them while they acted like a big happy family. It made you sick. To think that he never introduced you to his children… Well, you couldn’t really blame him. Nobody wanted his lover around his kids while he tried to portray a perfect marriage with their mother. Still, you were together for years and they weren’t small kids… so it was painful. To feel like you were something to be ashame of.
You took your suitcases and walked out of the room. You kept looking around, trying to find something that proved to you that you were doing something stupid. That you were making a mistake and that Carlisle loved you more than what a promise with destiny could make him. You kept looking around until you were almost at the door, farewell letter in one hand and suitcases in the other. You didn’t find anything.
So you left the short but emotional letter on the small table close to the door and then took off the necklace with a small silver ring that Carlisle gave you when you went to live with him and his wife. You put it on top of the letter, took your suitcases in both hands and went through the door.
Because even if you loved him so much, you couldn’t keep going with being the second table’s plate, nor the lover or what you heard some girls say before, you couldn’t keep going with being the “other woman” of the relationship. Always alone even if he pretended to love you the same as he loved his wife.
Then you kept walking, going to your car and driving away with your life in your back seat and hopeful that you were going to find someone that cared enough for you to fill the hole that you had in your chest. Knowing that even if you were hopeful, nobody would love you as much as your mate… and seeing how much your mate loved you… Well, let’s say you weren’t so hopeful.
But the other woman will always cry herself to sleep
The other woman will never have his love to keep
And as the years go by the other woman
Will spend her life alone
Carlisle and Esme arrived from their trip and from a really long chat with each other. Unknown to you, they talked about the relationship. About how Esme could see the bond that you and Carlisle obviously shared and how she felt that she was the one intruding in a relationship that was meant to be. They talked about how they loved each other so much, but they couldn’t ignore that you were a beautiful soul and that it was obvious that Carlisle in his effort to not make Esme feel bad because of the connection that he had with you, had made you feel like you weren’t important to him.
They talked about their marriage. About how even if they loved each other, they wouldn’t deny that Carlisle loved you so much and that maybe it was for the best if they spend some time apart, just so Carlisle could reassure you that you were his mate and that no matter what, he loved you. Esme also yelled at Carlisle for acting like your necessities weren’t important or were a whim. She told him how surprising was that he acted like a jerk while knowing that Carlisle was usually a gentleman and that it was obvious how much you were doing for him, just trying your best to show him that you were good for him. The blonde vampire accepted it and apologised before asking if she was going to be fine with him introducing the kids to you. She said that it was long due.
They entered the house and Carlisle called you, walking towards your room -another topic that they talked about and felt it was ridiculous since it made it seem like you were something to keep apart from others-. Meanwhile, Esme was about to leave her keys on the table by the door when she saw the necklace and letter. She grabbed them, shocked by the findings since she knew you cared for the necklace that Carlisle gave you with your life, specially since you felt that it was impossible for him to give you a real ring -Esme was planning to talk to Carlisle about that too-.
Her thoughts were interrupted when Carlisle went down the stairs at full speed, looking quite scared. Esme then opened the letter, looking at it’s contents and then looking at the blonde vampire with a sad expression on her face. Carlisle shook his head and grabbed the letter, reading it quite quickly and then falling to his knees, knowing that by taking so long in showing you that he loved you, he ended up losing you and didn’t know how he was going to get you back… that is, if you even wanted him back. After all, he was the one who made his true mate feel so unloved that you had the necessity to run away, with nothing more than a small letter to say goodbye.
If months later, Edward, his young mind-reader, could see your face and his father's sadness at your parting, in Carlisle's mind, he didn’t say anything. Still, he hugged the blonde vampire and offered him a sad smile, he also didn’t question anything when Esme and Carlisle decided to sleep in different rooms for a while. After all, Carlisle was still grieving over his lost love, and Esme had just confronted the man over how he needed to think about you and about what he wanted to do to get you back. Rosalie didn’t say anything about it either. But that was mostly because she once saw Carlisle looking at a picture of you smiling with him and looking like something had ripped his heart out so, she wasn’t about to break the peace that the older vampire seemed to have with them when he wasn’t thinking of his mistakes or about how he couldn’t be quicker.
Please let me know if you want the second part of this story... Thanks for reading!
You've lived your entire life in Forks, Washington without anyone paying too close attention to you. Then you befriend the new girl and suddenly you find yourself friends with the unexpected. And maybe even something more if a certain shapeshifter stops denying the Fates.
PART ONE | PART TWO | PART THREE | PART FOUR
Author's Note: If this receives 100 notes, I will post part two as soon as possible instead of waiting for next Friday. Happy reading!
Just so you know, reader indulges in edibles. I've never been high a day in my life, so everything in here is purely made up. Also, it's been a while since I've seen Twilight, so I forgot if Edward was "friendly" with Bella before Tyler nearly mowed her down.
For as long as you could remember, life in Forks was dull. The only time anything interesting happened was when the Cullens moved in from Alaska, but even at that they merely held your attention for a full day before you realized they preferred to keep to themselves. They were quite intimidating as well, but you learned to keep to yourself and focus elsewhere.
As the days turned into weeks, and the rumor mill ran rampant, the female population of Forks High seemed to become infatuated with the silent Cullen and Hale boys. It even got to the point that girls would ask you to switch seats so they could sit next to either Edward or Emmett, but you merely stared at them as you opened your textbook and sunk further into your seat. Unbeknownst to you at the time, that earned you an ounce of respect from the private siblings, even more so when students would try to rope you in to talking about the family. Since you sat next to a couple of them in class, everyone wanted to know if you learned anything about them, but you'd merely plug your ears with earbuds to tune them out.
The Cullen/Hale siblings ended up being quite the enigma- never speaking with anyone unless they were a teacher, but oftentimes you'd find class notes tucked under your textbook you'd never written, or answers whispered to you when the teacher caught you dozing in class. Alice and Emmett were the main culprits who found it in themselves to help you, also redirecting you in the hallways when you weren't paying attention to help you avoid knocking yourself on your ass. And every time that happened, you merely grinned or nodded to show your thanks, and then were on your way.
For a whole school year, you were the only student that part of the family acknowledged.
But then came Isabella Swan.
Sitting in the back of the classroom in Biology, you are able to see the way Edward reacts to the new girl. You also see the aftermath and how hurt she is.
"Hey Goose?" You dopily grin at her as you walk up to the desk she is still sitting at, slowly packing up her belongings. "Don't sweat Cullen's reaction. He and his siblings are- they're just- they tend to keep to themselves."
"Goose?" She frowns at you.
"Yeah. Your name's a bird or something, right?"
Her lips twitch in amusement. "It's Swan."
"Same thing." You shrug. "Anyway, I just thought I'd drop by and mention that thing about Edward. He and his siblings are all intimidating, but it's just who they are. Don't take it personally."
As you're walking away, you hear Mike Newton ask, "What did stoner girl want?"
"YN YLN. That girl is always high, but no one's ever caught her smoking."
You chuckle to yourself, groaning a moment later when you hit your shoulder on the door jamb on the way out.
A week passes by before Bella Swan seeks you out, pulling out a chair across from you during lunch. You glance up from your tray of food, smile, and go back to ripping apart your chicken tenders before popping a piece into your mouth.
She huffs a laugh as she takes a seat, setting her tray down. "YN."
"How is Forks treating you?"
"It's okay." She takes a piece of cucumber off the top of her salad and pops it into her mouth. "Not a fan of the dreary weather, but I'll get used to it."
"Are you kidding me?" Your eyes widen dramatically, causing the pale girl to chuckle. "The weather is the best part! It's nap weather. It's my favorite."
Bella can only shake her head in amusement before trying to subtly glance over her shoulder at another table. The Cullen/Hale table, to be precise. "Hey YN, can I ask you something?"
As Bella faces you yet again, she says, "It's just- out of everyone, you're most likely to give me some semblance of the truth rather than rumors you've heard."
"Okay," you drawl.
"Have you noticed anything weird about Edward and his family?"
You blink at her before glancing at the family in question, watching briefly as they pick at the food on their trays. "Yeah, I guess." You shrug. "I took note of some odd quirks and gene traits, but then I dropped it. To them, we might be odd so.." you trail off, ending the subject then and there. Bella flashes a tight smile in acceptance.
The two of you continue to make idle chit chat as you eat and she tells you a bit about living with her mom before deciding to move in with her dad. Then when asked why she's not sitting with her usual band of merry peers, you find out that Lauren and Mike are still as annoying as ever.
"Yeah, I never really cared for them," you tell her. "Angela is the only decent one out of the bunch. Jessica has her moments, but when her insecurities get in the way, she's just as bad as Lauren."
"You used to hang out with them?" Bella asks.
"In Junior High and the first year of high school," you admit. "Now.. now I'm just on my lonesome and perfectly content." Reaching into your backpack that had been sitting on the chair next to you, you pull out a baggie of gummy bears. "Want one?" You ask your apparent new friend.
As Bella reaches across the table, Edward Cullen pops up out of nowhere and takes a seat next to her. "Don't. It's cannabis."
Bella's hand freezes and you playfully wiggle your eyebrows. "Don't be scared, Goose. You'd have to eat a few before feeling any of the good effects." As she pulls her empty hand back, you shrug and pop a gummy into your own mouth before putting the baggie away. "Way to mess with a girl's fun, Cullen." He flashes you a grin which you return as you settle back in your seat. "So what brings you and your bronzed, perfectly coiffed hero hair to our table?"
"Can't I just want the company of two of my peers?"
"We've been going to school together for how long?" You ask, arching an eyebrow at him. "We both know the reason you're here and it's not for my company." His grin doesn't falter and Bella blushes while suddenly finding her food tray very interesting. You chuckle as you stand, picking up your backpack and pulling on the straps. Then collecting your tray in hand, you grin at them. "See you guys later."
"Don't eat anymore gummies!" Bella calls out.
You wave off her concern, knowing your limit perfectly well and try to figure out what snack you want from the vending machine so you could snack in class later on.
You continue on with your day in a relaxed haze, perfectly content to ignore anyone and everyone as you complete your school work and doze off at your desk. Though you tended to spend your school days a little high, none of it ever affected your grades. In fact, it helped you zone out your distracting peers and focus on your work.
Most of the time, at least.
At the end of the school day, you zip up your jacket and pull a beanie down over your head as you step outside. You're used to the walk home by now, but there were some days where you didn't quite enjoy it so much. Today, for example, was one of those days.
So as you near Bella's monstrous red truck, you're grateful when she waves you over and asks, "Are you walking home?"
"Yeah. My parents don't get off of work for a few more hours and all my siblings have lives of their own." You shrug. "I'm used to it."
"Oh." Bella glances around before saying, "If you want, I can give you a ride."
"Of course. It wouldn't be a problem."
"Then yeah." You smile at her. "Thanks, Goose."
"Don't mention it." She chuckles. "You can put your stuff in the passenger seat if you want."
Taking her up on your offer, you walk around her truck until you're at the passenger door. You open it up and set your bag on the seat, taking your time in opening it up to retrieve the bag of gummies once more before shoving the baggie into your jacket pocket. Then just as you slam the truck door shut, a blaring horn has your head snapping up.
Tyler Crowley's van is sliding on black ice right towards Bella's truck- towards Bella herself- and you can only watch on in horror as the events play out. Bella is frozen and the most you can do is stumble away from the truck right as the van hits where your friend was standing. But the strangest thing happens- a small gap being left exactly where Bella was standing while the rest of the van continues to slide before hitting the back of Bella's truck and coming to a stop.
Everyone's suddenly screaming and rushing towards the accident, and you startle when Edward pops up from the gap where Bella was last seen. He hops into the bed of her truck before hopping down on your side and you gulp, shaking your head in disbelief.
"Either I'm really stoned or you're stupidly fast."
Edward glances at you and you're surprised to see dark eyes instead of their usual golden. But again, you push that thought out of your head. The weirdness of the Cullens/Hales was not your business. "Are you okay?" He asks, voice rough.
"Yep. Not a scratch." You wave him off.
"Good. Make sure Bella gets to the hospital."
The school parking lot is complete chaos as everyone makes sure Bella and Tyler are okay. Then the sirens of an ambulance and a fire truck pierce the air, and then everyone's working on extracting both teens as safely as possible.
"I'm fine. I'm okay," Bella continuously tells the EMT's. "I don't need to go to the hospital."
But none of the adults pay her any attention and load her up in the back of the EMS.
By some miracle you get them to let you go with her and you keep her company on the way to the hospital. You manage to join her in the little cubicle they leave her in, sitting on the bed behind her as she anxiously awaits the arrival of her father and doctor.
"Stop jiggling your leg, Goose. I'm trying to nap back here."
Bella huffs a laugh. "Sorry. I just know my dad's going to make a big deal about this."
"Dude!" You exclaim, chuckling. "You were almost squashed like a bug. If I were you, I'd be downing gummy after gummy. And speaking of, I got some in my pocket if you wanna chill."
"No. I don't need to be high right now."
"Really? I'm seriously debating about popping another one or two, but I think I need a level head for when your dad gets here."
Bella grins over her shoulder at you, shaking her head. Then just as you start to relax once more, the curtain surrounding the bed is yanked open. You yelp, Bella snorts, and the Chief of Police freezes as he glances between you and his daughter.
"Bella, I am so sorry!" Tyler says once he has sight of the girl.
"You're damn right you're sorry," the Chief says. "You're lucky I don't take your license for this."
"Dad, it's fine. It was an accident."
"You could have died, Bells!"
"I didn't. I'm fine."
"I am so sorry, Mr. Swan, I-" the Chief suddenly pulls the curtain closed, cutting off Tyler.
Bella groans and you snort, and then the Chief is staring right at you. Your smile suddenly fades and you climb out of the bed. "Right. I should- I'm just gonna go and-"
Bella smiles as you shrink under her dad's gaze. "Thanks for keeping me company, YN."
"Don't mention it, Goose." Before you can exit the curtain-offed room, you say, "My bag's still in your truck. Mind if I just collect it Monday morning at school?"
"Yeah. That's fine."
You offer her one last smile before exiting the back of the emergency room, making your way down the clean and crisp hallways. As you turn one corner, you come across Edward and his sister Rosalie having a heated conversation.
Your eyes widen. "Sorry. Didn't mean to-"
"It's fine," Edward says. "I needed to speak with you anyway."
Rosalie casts you a wary glance before walking off, leaving you alone with her brother. Silence briefly lingers and you reach into your pocket, pulling out your edibles. "Gummy?"
You shrug and put them away. "So what's up?"
"I need to know what you think you saw back at the school."
You arch an eyebrow at him, slowly grinning, and he fidgets under your stare. "Look, man, whatever that was back there.. it's none of my business. As far as I'm concerned, I'm too stoned to be a liable witness. Bella's alive and that's all that matters."
"Seriously?" Edward frowns. "You're not curious?"
"Of course I'm curious," you muse, "but secrets are secrets for a reason. We're not friends, not really, and that's fine. But I do have a favor to ask."
Edward, who'd seem to relax at your words, suddenly tenses all over again. "What?"
"Can you give me a ride home? It's a long walk from here and I would rather get home before my parents do."
"Yeah. That's fine."
"Thanks." Walking side by side with Edward Cullen, you can't help but ask, "So how much trouble do you think I'll get into if I attempt to get the Chief's daughter high as a kite?"
He smirks as he keeps his face forward. "You really need to stop trying to get everyone high."
Over the next few days, you watch as Edward and Bella dance around each other. Some days they're happy and conversing with one another, and other days Edward is avoiding Bella and she wants to know why. She also hasn't let Edward's inhumane speed go, and every time she tries to drag you into that conversation you quickly remind her you were stoned and didn't know what it was that you saw.
And though you told Edward that his secret was a secret for a reason, and that you didn't care to find out what it was all about, he and his siblings seem to be more relaxed around you. Emmett especially took great joy in making you realize just how excellent their hearing was. And while you found it amusing and only added to your curiosity, you never voiced it. Nor did you speak about it with anyone else, something that the Cullen/Hale siblings came to appreciate.
Bella and Edward then became official, and all was good.
Rosalie obviously didn't like the girl, but the rest of the family seemed to take to her perfectly fine. The two of them were the talk of the school, and eventually you were too. They understood why the siblings spoke and interacted with Bella, but you were the odd one out. As far as everyone knew, all the siblings were dating each other, or Bella as in Edward's case, so no one knew why they accepted you into their exclusive little circle. Not even you knew, but you shrugged and accepted their appearances and conversations at your lunch table every now and then.
For a while, everything appears normal.
Until it isn't.
Bella and Edward had been the couple no one saw coming, but eventually came to accept, and then out of the blue the entire family just up and left. Bella was an absolute mess and you didn't think you were equipped to deal with the aftermath.
For months, Bella couldn't seem to leave her house and you weren't sure what to do. But you tried and tried to revive Bella 'Goose' Swan, and in doing so is what made Charlie Swan absolutely adore you.
Eventually there's a threat from Charlie that gives Bella a kick in the ass, and then she's calling you up to start hanging out again. You agree since she was the one with the vehicle and more often than not you found yourself in La Push to visit her friend Jacob Black.
After months of heartbreak, Jacob Black seems to bring your friend back to life a bit and you accept the weirdly obsessed boy into the fold. Especially when he accepts a gummy before Bella can warn him and the two of you spend the day scarfing down anything and everything edible in Bella's house.
You meet a few of Jacob's other friends, Quil and Embry, and both boys are immediately taken with you. Bella thinks it's absolutely hilarious, but you merely wave her off. It was adorable to watch them flirt.
But eventually, something else happens that you're not really privy to and Jacob seems to abandon both you and Bella. His words hit Bella a lot harder, especially after Edward's sudden disappearance, but you merely sigh when he gives you the it's not you, it's me speech and then wish him well with whatever he's obviously going through.
This time, however, Bella isn't willing to let things go or even fall back into a depression. Now- now she's pissed and she's determined to figure out what's going on with Jacob.
So here you sit in the passenger seat to Bella's truck, mind already in a haze after having popped two edibles earlier that morning thinking you were going to have a relaxing day.
Bella's truck skids to a stop in front of Jacob's house and she jumps out almost as soon as the engine is cut. You sigh and slowly climb out, following her to the door where she's speaking to a man in a wheelchair. You wince as she pushes past him, stopping and standing a few feet in front of the house as the man glances at you.
"Hi," you tell him. "I'm really sorry about Goose. That girl is the most stubborn person I've ever met and I'm too tired to be scolding her."
"It's alright, dear. I'm Billy, Jacob's father."
"YN," you introduce yourself. Before anything else can be said, sounds of laughter and whistles pierce the air. You glance in the direction of the noise, spotting four shirtless males- one of whom you recognize; Embry- who are walking out of the woods. They're playfully roughhousing with one another and then Bella's suddenly flying out of the house and marching in their direction. "Aw shit."
"Stop her," Billy urges.
"Goose, come on. Don't do this," you say as you chase after her.
"What did you do?" You hear her yell, advancing on three of the snickering boys. When they spot Bella, their amusement slowly vanishes. "What did you do?!" She asks again as she shoves one of them.
"Hey!" A man yells back, putting himself between Bella and the three boys as one leans towards her.
"What did you do to him?" She asks again.
"Goose," you sigh, shaking your head. You catch Embry's gaze and he grins at you, a grin which you return. "Come on, man. Let's just go." You reach for her arm, only for her to yank out of your grip.
"Easy," the one in charge says again, glancing between the two of you.
"He didn't want this!" She says.
One of the boys pushes up behind the one in charge, grin malicious. "What did we do? What did he do? What'd he tell you?"
"Both of you calm down," the mediator says. The one guy trying to get at Bella steps around his friend, ending up practically chest to chest with her.
"Nothing. He tells me nothing because he's scared of you."
The three boys start to chuckle and you step back with a groan when you see Bella rear her arm back. She punches the main culprit antagonizing her across the face and he whips his face back towards her, the seething anger now very much obvious.
"Paul, calm down!"
"Too late now," one of the boys muses.
Rolling your eyes, you step aside until you're by the only other person you know. "You're such an idiot, Goose."
"Bella, get back!"
The one they called Paul starts to huff and puff, his body pretty much vibrating in his anger. Then he starts to growl and your brow furrows in confusion, and then he is literally exploding out of his clothes and skin as he turns into a giant ferocious wolf.
Startled, you trip on your own two feet as you try to step back again, and fall on your butt.
"Bella! YN!" At the shout, you see Jacob running out of his house.
Bella, who had also fallen onto her butt, scrambles back up and starts to run back towards the house. "Run! Jake, run!"
Jacob jumps, exploding into a wolf as well. Your eyes widen, but you end up snorting as the wolves attack one another before disappearing into the woods.
"Survival 101 taught that girl nothing," you mumble when the drama is over with. Hearing a snort, you glance up to see Embry offering you a hand up. You take it. "Everyone knows you don't run from a predator. That only heightens their urge to give into the chase."
"You're taking this oddly well," the man in charge says.
Clearing your jeans and hands of any debris, you lazily smile at the man. "YN YLN. And I'm really high right now so the only urge I have is the urge to pet the giant doggo."
The three remaining males chuckle. "Sam Uley. Alpha," the one who had been in charge says.
Sam can only shake his head and then sighs when he stares at a dumbstruck Bella. "Boys, get the girls to Emily's. I'll track down Jacob and Paul, and meet you there."
As soon as Sam races off to go find the others, Embry introduces you to Jared. He's happy to meet you, especially your laid back attitude towards everything you've just witnessed. Embry then collects Bella and leads her back towards her truck, letting you and her jump into the cab while he offers to drive to Emily's. Then as soon as Jared jumps into the bed of the truck, you're off.
The wooden house Embry parks in front of isn't that far off from the beach and surrounded by the woods. It's small and quaint and a house you could see yourself living in, especially if it were close to the beach.
Bella mentions checking on Jacob, but Embry tells her that he'll be fine. He and Jared then quickly start betting about who'll be injured- either Paul or Jacob- and then Jared's laughing as he hops up the porch.
"Hey, about Emily," Embry suddenly says, "don't stare. It bugs Sam."
"Why would we stare?" Bella asks, but Embry merely smiles before hopping up the porch and inside the house.
When Bella hesitates, you sigh and sling an arm around her shoulders. "Come on. You made your bed, now it's time to lie in it. Let's go."
As you and Bella make your way inside the house, Jared and Embry are already seated at a table. There's a woman by a bar counter with her back towards you and when she turns, she hesitates. And while the three of you are staring at one another, you quickly realize why Embry said not to stare.
The woman has scars down the right side of her face, from her hairline down to her chin. "Who's this?"
You smile at her.
"Bella Swan and YN YLN," Embry says.
"I'm YN. She's Bella," you say.
The woman- Emily- smiles at you before setting her gaze on Bella. "So you're the vampire girl." She turns to continue plating a platter of muffins.
You tense and glance at Bella. "Vampire?"
Your friend fidgets nervously before stepping out from under your arm, heading towards the table. You arch an eyebrow at her and head towards the table as well. "So you're the wolf girl," Bella says instead.
Emily chuckles. "I guess so." She picks up the platter of muffins and takes them to the table. "Well I'm engaged to one."
"No way!" You exclaim. "The sex must be phenomenal."
Embry chokes on the muffin he'd just bitten into and Jared freezes as he's reaching for his own. Emily's eyes widen, though you can see the amusement dancing in her expression, and Bella is beet red. "YN! You can't say stuff like that."
"What? We're all adults." You glance at Jared and Embry. "Well, mostly."
Emily finally laughs and the boys relax, her hand shooting out to catch Jared's wrist as he finally takes hold of a muffin. "Save some for your brothers." She then leans back to shove both boys by their shoulders. "And ladies first." Emily then glances at you and Bella again. "Muffin?"
"Don't mind if I do." You step forward to take a seat at the table, reaching for a muffin to happily bite into.
Bella takes a little bit longer to accept, and when she does she merely picks at hers as she continues to stand.
"Leave it to Jacob to find a way around Sam's gag order," Emily says.
"He.. didn't say anything to me." Bella fidgets.
"That's a wolf thing," Embry explains. "Alpha's orders. You gotta obey whether you want to or not. Oh and check it out- we can hear each other's thoughts."
"Would you shut up," Jared tells Embry, before looking at you and Bella. "These are trade secrets, dammit! These chicks run with vampires."
You frown. "What?"
"You can't really run with vampires," Bella says. "Because they're fast."
"Yeah? Well we're faster. Freaked out yet?"
"You're not the first monsters I met."
"Hold the fuck on," you finally say. "Vampires are real? Who are the vampires?!"
Embry, Jared and Emily go quiet, and all eyes dart to Bella. You turn around in your seat to look up at your friend. "You, uh, you never wanted to know," she mumbles.
It takes a second for her words to sink in and your mind to catch up, and then when you connect the dots, you bark out a laugh. "Edward and his family? Seriously?!"
"Jake's right. You girls are good with weird." Sam walks in, grinning as he makes a beeline for Emily. When she's in his arms, they share a chaste kiss before he starts to press kisses all over her scars.
"D'aww. Cute," you utter. And then when all gazes are on you, you shrug and get back on topic. "To be fair, I never knew I was associating with vampires, so you can't hold that against me. I just knew the family was odd, but I didn't want to know their secret because I like a mostly drama-free life."
"Yet you showed up with Bella to confront Jacob?" Embry asks.
"I'm easily manipulated when I'm under the influence," you say. Then looking back at Bella, you smirk. "So you were bangin' Nosferatu, huh? That must've been fun."
"W-We didn't!" She stammers as the group laughs.
"No?" You frown. "Not even once?" Bella shakes her head. "How are we even friends? If I was dating a vampire or a werewolf, I'd have slipped between the sheets with them immediately," you admit. "You know, for science."
"Well when you put it that way.."
"No." You immediately shoot Jared down which makes Embry explode with laughter. Even Sam and Emily smile at Jared's put out expression.
The screen door opening catches everyone's attention, and Paul and Jacob step inside in the best of moods. Jacob stays by the door and you situate yourself correctly in your seat once more, not paying attention as the one they called Paul pulls out the chair next to you. You do, however, hear him apologize to Bella before she walks off towards Jacob.
"Hey Paul, this is YN," Embry says. "Met her a while back. She's cool."
You turn to Paul just as he turns towards you, gazes clashing. You feel your breath hitch as Paul freezes, eyes subtly widening before his expression goes slack. You offer him a shaky smile. "H-Hey." You break the stare, only to find everyone else staring at you in surprise. "What?"
"Nothing," Sam immediately blurts.
You narrow your eyes at the man before shrugging and take a bite out of your muffin once more. Schooling your features into indifference, Paul suddenly pushes away from the table and marches outside.
"Don't worry about him," Embry says, watching his friend go. "That's just the way Paul is."
"He's a real charmer, huh?" You nervously chuckle. Then attempting to put the snub out of your mind, you say, "Emily, I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure you're gonna have an intruder every weekend from now on."
"An intruder?" She frowns.
"Yeah. Me." You take another bite of the muffin and groan. "These are so good."
Slowly, but surely the group all chuckle..
"Are you sure it's just not the munchies talking?" Embry teases.
"Could be." You shrug. "But I'm willing to continue testing that theory out if it means I get all the baked goods."
"Well I'm here everyday," Emily tells you. "I wouldn't mind the company."
"Yes! We need to exchange numbers so when I find a ride, I'll call to make sure it's alright to come over."
Emily smiles and immediately gets up to grab a pen and a pad of paper. Sam watches fondly as Emily writes down her number before ripping the paper and giving it to you. You accept it before taking the pad for yourself to write your own number and then pass it to her so she'll have your number as well.
The screen door creaks open and you glance over at it to see Bella. "Hey, we should head back to Forks."
"Yeah. Of course." Turning back to the table, you smile at its occupants. "Emily, thanks for the muffins."
"Boys, thanks for the entertainment."
"Anytime," Sam muses.
They all get up to watch as you join Bella and Jacob outside. Leaning into Jacob's side on the way to the truck, you ask, "So what will it take for you to turn into the doggo again and let me cuddle you?"
Jacob laughs as Bella shakes her head. "Get in the truck, YN."
Could you pretty please do the cullens reaction to their s/o being like "ok and? I still love you and apriciate you even if you could literally snap me like a twig in a second" after they tell them that their a vampire thanks in advance
a/n: of course I can! I have a lot of projects contained in my drafts, so I’ll probably have a few more works published in a few days time.
another a/n: I changed the request a little, I had added the Cullens before they tell the reader that they are a vampire, while they say they’re a vampire, and after - which would be the reader’s reaction/their reaction to the reader’s.
How The Cullens Would React To You Knowing That They’re A Vampire
Carlisle would prep for this moment from the second he had met you.
Alice would assure him that everything would be alright, she had seen it.
Despite Carlisle being calm about the possibilities of how you would react, and Alice’s vision of reassurance, he would still feel a tad nervous.
He had called you earlier that day, and had said that he just wanted to be in your company.
You’d come over, and you’d obviously be ecstatic that you’d be able to spend time with Carlisle and his family.
You sensed the air being stiffer than usual, everyone was seated in the living room, watching the television.
Carlisle had brought you to his office, and he had helped you sit down at one of the chairs that was there.
He then sat opposite to you, and you looked at him, wondering what he was about to reveal.
“My love, I have been holding onto something that you should know.”
Your heart had nearly froze in time hearing that phrase.
“Are you breaking up with me?”
“Oh, of course not! I want to spend forever with you, there’s just this one thing that I haven’t told you. It’s a pretty big reveal, so when I tell you, you can take as much time as you’d like to process this information. Even if that means leaving me.”
You frowned at the last sentence, but held Carlisle’s hand in your own, being used to the cold feeling that entrapped your own hands.
You holding his hand, ensuring Carlisle that you were ready to hear what he had to tell you, and so he said one simple line.
“I’m a vampire.”
You had sat there, just looking at your hands that here holding his, processing.
“So…that’s why your hands are always cold?”
Carlisle had chuckled a bit, seeing your own faint smile on your face.
“Yeah, it is.”
You were so curious about Carlisle now, more than you were from when you two went on your first date.
“Can I ask more questions? If that’s okay with you, of course.”
He smiled widely, happy that you were taking this well.
“Of course you can!”
“So if you’re a vampire, how- what year were you born in?”
“You’ve seen like all the wars, or been awake for the beginning of them. That’s so crazy to me, you’re like an old man!”
“Hey, now I’m technically only 23!”
He had taken you hand-in-hand out of his office to the rest of the Cullens that were in the living room. The television was off as well.
“Were you guys eavesdropping on our conversation?”
“Kind of hard not to when you have enhanced hearing.” - Edward.
You turned to Carlisle, in awe of the fact that his entire family has supernatural gifts.
“This stuff is so intriguing to me, do you all have the same gifts, or is it different for everyone?”
Everyone would have to re-introduce themselves, now that you knew what they were.
Jasper wouldn’t tell you that he was a vampire unless he knew how you were with secrets as big as that.
He would also only tell you after you had met his family.
He would stress about the day where he would eventually have to tell you, with Emmett joking that Jasper should use his gift on his own self so he could finally calm down.
Rosalie, usually knowing a lot of the gossip, would hang out with you to see if you would talk about any of the conspiracies that the other students had created about the Cullens.
You didn’t, which would surprise her since everyone would talk about their own theories that they had about the Cullens during lunch, or even right in front of their faces.
She would report back to Jasper after school that day, to which he would smile proudly.
He’d smile loving the fact that you don’t care about the rumours about him and his family.
Jasper would be smiling like a goof for an entire week. Which frightened majority of students, obviously not used to this particular feature marked on his face.
When you had caught up to Jasper, seeing this smile on his face, your own face had mirrored his own expression.
“What’s gotten you in a jolly mood there, partner?”
“Oh, nothin’, darlin’. What do you say about coming over to mine after?”
“I’d love to! I gotta get to math, though, I’ll see you later.”
You’d kiss him on the cheek as you’d jog over to your class, and Jasper would be the happiest he’s ever been in a long time.
After the final bell rang, you made your way over to Jasper in the parking lot, Rosalie and Emmett beside him as usual.
When you got closer, they all smiled at you as Jasper wrapped an arm around you and you both sat in the backseat of the Jeep, while Rosalie sat in the driver’s seat and Emmett in shotgun.
The radio was playing quietly, as you attempted to get a little bit of reading done as you leaned on Jasper’s shoulder.
Jasper was content as can be, knowing that you would take the information he was going to tell you, well.
You had gotten to the Cullen estate, and Rosalie and Emmett turned off the vehicle and went into the house, while you and Jasper stayed in the backseat, finishing up the page you were on.
“When we, uh, when we get into my room, I need to have a conversation with you, it’s very brief, and no, our relationship is not over, if that’s what you were thinking.”
This poor boy’s face would be flushed with blood, if it could. He’s so nervous to tell you.
You both made your way up the stairs to Jasper’s room, you in front of him, as Jasper looked over to the living room where the rest of the Cullens were seated.
Alice gave him a thumbs up and a bright smile, which calmed Jasper down more than expected.
Jasper opened his bedroom door open for you, and you walked in, placing your bag by the door as you usually do.
Then you sat down on his bed, which he stood in front of you, almost uncomfortably.
“You have to promise not to be mad…”
He took a deep breath, though he didn’t need to, before saying,
“Do you remember at the beginning of our relationship, where I had a difficult time even standing next to you? Like it seemed I was uncomfortable.”
“I do, but I thought that was just because you were awkward.”
Jasper cracked a smile, before continuing.
“It seemed like I was uncomfortable standing next to you because…god, this is gonna make me sound like a maniac. But it was because I was trying to control my thirst.”
“For what? My blood or something?” You had said it in a jokingly way, not even thinking that that was close to the truth. All Jasper did was nod.
“Oh, you’re serious.”
You took a few moments processing that your own boyfriend was a vampire. Jasper understood that there was going to be some sort of silence at some point during all of this, but he didn’t expect you to be this quiet, he’d expect maybe a million questions pouring out of your mouth, but there was nothing.
“Please don’t hate me.”
Those words made your heart shatter, and the only thing you could do was get up and hug him tightly, to which he embraced you as tight as he could without hurting you.
“I could never hate the person that I love and adore the most.”
Alice would be so ecstatic after seeing a vision of you.
It was a very short vision, possibly the shortest Alice had ever had, but it at least showed your smile of interest.
She’d call you perhaps an hour after she had her vision.
“Hey sweetheart, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the nail salon, or catch a movie? Like a date!”
“You know I’d love to.”
She would get Rosalie and Esme help let her decide between 2 outfits she had planned, which was rare since Alice always chose her outfits, so Rose and Esme knew this was for a special occasion.
After picking her outfit, she immediately made her way down to the garage.
Emmett was working on one of the cars, and he noticed Alice smiling that bright smile she has whenever she’s about to see you.
“You seeing Y/n again?”
“Of course I am!”
“Have fun and cause trouble.”
Alice rolled her eyes at her adoptive brother, as she turned on the car. Emmett waved at her with a tool he hand in his hand as she sped off to your house.
She had gotten to your house within 5 minutes, and you were waiting outside of your front door.
You had seen Alice’s car, or rather Alice in Carlisle’s car, and made your way over to the passenger side.
Alice gave you a kiss on the cheek, and then she sped off to the movie theatre after you had strapped on your seatbelt.
After the movie, you two went back to the Cullens home, where you two sat on one of the big branches that were outside Alice’s massive window.
After you two were seated and making jokes at one another, the topic of conversation flowed onto more serious things.
First it started with jokes, second with how much you could hardly wait for summer break, then about how boring classes are, next about the amount of stress you were under with the piles of homework you were getting, then about Alice and her siblings’ disappearances whenever it was nice out.
The conversation reached a halt at the last topic, which made you slightly embarrassed for questioning your girlfriend’s whereabouts.
“I’m sorry if you don’t want to talk about it, like if I made you uncomfortable.”
“No, no, it’s okay. I’m not uncomfortable. I’m just thinking of the right words to tell you without you falling off the branch and hurting yourself.”
You nodded, trusting your girlfriend. You always trusted her, she knew what to do and what to say at almost every given moment.
“So, me and my adoptive siblings, you know how some of use are dating, like Rosalie and Emmett?”
“That’s just a cover story, yes, Rosalie and Emmett are really together, and so is Esme and Carlisle, but we’re not all ‘adoptive siblings’. We needed it to seem that way, so we could go to school, legally. Esme is really 26, and Carlisle is 23, not 36 and 33. And Emmett is 20, not 17. Well, I’m 19, but I am technically 120.”
“What about the going to school legally part? What do you mean by that?”
“You know how we move a lot? That’s because we live an entire life in one place, we start out in high school, the younger we say we are, the longer we can stay. After we graduate, we go to college, get ‘married’, but it’s just Rosalie and Emmett that continually get married over and over again. Then we move after that and just keep continuing the cycle.”
“You’re immortal, like all of you?”
“Yes, we’re all vampires, vegetarian vampires. We all survive on animal blood, not human blood.”
“That’s so cool!” Your face lit up, which lit up Alice’s. “What decade was your favourite?”
“Oh, I loved the 60s - for the fashion, it was so poppy and bubbly, and I adored how the 80s reimagined that but in a more electric way! It’s the 20 year rule in fashion, I can teach you all about it.”
Rosalie would want to tell you quickly in the relationship, not wanting to lie to you, you not knowing what she really was.
She would want to tell you, but she would stop herself before she could, remembering the law where humans can’t know about the existence of vampires.
Humans knew about vampires, of course. But everyone took their existence with a grain of salt. They couldn’t really exist, could they?
Rosalie would tell you about 6 months into your relationship, she didn’t want to be too attached to you, if you decided yo leave her, or if the Volturi had plans to kill you if you didn’t want to become a vampire.
Rosalie doesn’t want you to give up your humanity so easily, though.
You had come around to the Cullen estate, after receiving a call from Rosalie saying that she needed to speak with you, in person.
You knocked on the door, to which Edward greeted you, and he escorted you to the kitchen where everyone was seated.
You sat next to Rosalie, reaching for her hand, to which she hesitated before grasping your hand with hers.
You gave her a smile, which she almost painfully returned.
Carlisle began speaking first, which gained everyone’s attention.
“Y/n, there’s something that you need to know, about all of us.”
“Oh, yeah, go for it.”
“This can seriously change your views on all of us, and it can get all of us in trouble.”
“With what? The law?”
“Something like that. I think it would be more fitting for Rose to tell you, you two are together after all.”
Rosalie looked at you with the face that could make an elder cry, the emotions that were displayed were so very powerful, it was clear that she was about to reveal something big.
She took a moment to calm herself, though she could tell that Jasper was helping her with his gift.
“We’re all vampires, me and everyone here.”
You had blinked at her in disbelief, but the more you thought about it, the more it made sense.
“Ah, so that’s how Edward got to Bella so quick that one time. Though he was across the parking lot.”
“Yeah…you weren’t really supposed to know, but since you’re my mate, which I found out pretty early on, I suppose it would be easier for you to know. Even if it puts us in death row.”
“Mate? Is that like a soulmate type of thing?”
“If you want to put it that way to make it make sense, yeah, I suppose it is.”
“And what do you mean by ‘death row’? You can die by telling me that vampires are real?”
“It can, yes. The only way that we can get us out of our death sentence, is if you become a vampire, as well.”
You would spend the rest of the evening with the Cullens, asking questions, which Edward would answer quicker than everyone else, you learning that he can read minds.
Jasper could feel and manipulate emotions, which made sense after all this time. He would send you waves of calmness over to you whenever you got nervous.
Esme dug up old photo albums of the Cullens in different decades, showing you the progression of style and quality throughout the years.
Alice would definitely give you a whole history of fashion lesson.
You looked at your girlfriend, she seemed a lot more relaxed from when you first got there.
“Being a vampire seems cool.”
“Yeah, sometimes it is. I don’t want you to give up your humanity so easily, though. I want you to live a human life.”
“I won’t give it up easily. But I also don’t want you in trouble with the vampire lawmakers, either. The rest of you, too. I’ll wait a couple years, say, five more years, then I’ll become one. I’ll take my time with it, and I won’t rush into it. I’ll always be with you.”
Emmett had totally revealed that he was a vampire by accident.
He had no time to prep for this moment whatsoever, it just came out.
Of course, he had jokes to go with whatever you had said.
You had woken up from sleeping in Emmett’s room, and Emmett had brought you breakfast in bed.
He had a goofy smile on his face as he carried the plate over to you as you sat up.
“I made this myself, I’m very proud of it.”
“It looks amazing, Em. Are you gonna eat as well?”
“Oh, about that, while I was making you your plate, I had made mine before, and I was eating it as I made yours, so I have already eaten!”
He might’ve been more proud with his lie than he was with the bacon that was on your plate.
After you had ate, you got dressed and got ready to go have fun outside.
You two were hanging out in the woods behind Emmett’s house.
It was after a wrestling match, which he had let you win. You knew that he let you win, of course. Emmett’s got an insane amount of muscle.
“How come you always let me win? I’m sure it’s not fun for you.”
“Oh, trust me babe, it’s fun for me to see your face all scrunched up before I let you win.”
“I swear you have like, super strength or something. I don’t see Edward or Jasper doing all this insane stuff like you do.”
“Well, different vampires come with different gifts, baby.”
“Vampires? You’re a vampire?”
“Well, yeah, I would’ve thought you already knew from when I caught that tree almost fall on your head. Guess not, though.”
“I just thought you were like as strong as a bear, or something.”
“It’s funny you say that.”
Edward didn’t even tell you. He couldn’t. He didn’t want you to be disgusted by him.
Emmett had leaked Edward’s true identity while you two were cuddling in the living room.
Edward was reading some book to you as you had curled up against his side, blanket covering the both of you.
The chapter had just finished, and you and Edward were talking about it, as you two usually do after you both finish a chapter.
“It’s just stupid how she did that! He could’ve died because of her!”
“That’s true, but perhaps she did it because she thought it would save him.”
Emmet had walked in with Rosalie after fixing one of the cars steering system.
They both stood there, by the door watching you and Edward debate about the main character’s decision to leave her boyfriend.
“Maybe he wanted to stay with her, not everything has to be done alone.”
“In some situations, yes it does.”
“What type of situations? Stupid ones, probably. I don’t understand why she just doesn’t accept his love, and then they can both just move on together! She’s so stupid, only thinking for what could happen to her, instead of what could happen to him!”
“It was a life-threatening situation, Y/n. She would obviously think for herself if she was on the verge of death.”
“That’s so dumb, though. They’re literally soulmates. Their souls are bound together once they meet, if one of them dies, part of the other person does, too.”
“Reminds me of Marcus.” - Emmett
“You didn’t tell them? Edward I thought you told them already.”
You had looked at Edward, wanting to know more information, but he just said,
“I can’t tell you. It would endanger you more than I already have.”
Edward got up from his spot on the couch, and went to his room, with his super speed.
“What the hell?”
Emmet and Rosalie sat down next to you, and told you everything.
After they had told you everything, you went up to Edward’s room, where you could hear classical music playing softly on his record player.
You opened the door to see Edward sitting on the edge of his window, obviously contemplating about earlier.
“Edward. I know.”
He immediately got up and rushed towards you.
“I suppose you hate me now?”
“Not one bit.”
“You’re insane. Do you need me to get Carlisle to recommend you a therapist, or something similar?”
“No. If anything, you need to quit doubting your self-worth, and me. I love you the same. Nothing will change that.”
Preferences: how they react to their mate having an identical twin
He would be the most surprised by this; he has worked for decades to dull his reaction to the smell of blood so humans all smell very much the same. When you first got together, he would mistake them for you once or twice but now he can notice the subtle differences in your appearances.
The more, the merrier is generally how this angel feels about her family so she is more than welcoming. Her face lights up brightly when she sees the closeness a twin bond brings.
This is the one who struggles the most with your twin. Not because she has a problem with them but because she can’t help but compare your life to theirs and hate all of the human things she’s taking away by being with you.
Oooh boy, he is the king of “hot sibling jokes”. Emmett would constantly tease you about how your sibling is so attractive but he only does it to see the exasperated smile grace your face.
Knew there were two of you before she met you. At first, she would get frustrated because she’d have visions of the seemingly same person doing drastically different things but once she figured out you were twins, she could See you more quickly
Jasper struggles because your twin smells just like you and he loves you enough to restrain himself but when your twin is right there, smelling just as good, it’s almost too much for his self control. He would pretend to not be able to tell you apart but wouldn’t have any problems doing so.
Doesn’t even realize you’re twins because he’s so focused on reading your minds instead of your faces. It doesn’t phase him though, it’s nice you have someone in your life.
She is the only one that can immediately tell you apart. Bella is very intuitive and observant so she’ll be able to come up and put her arms around you every time when you’re standing with your twin
Breath fogged the glass, raindrops gathering and racing to slide down the window. The rain matched the tears that freely flowed down your cheeks, your shaking body curled up in the back corner of the little bus that took you across the country.
“I need your help.”
“Of course, what is it?”
“I need somewhere to go. Somewhere far from Miami. Carlisle, I have nobody.”
“Come to Forks. You’ll be safe here.”
Thick, lush forest reached into the sky, creating a shield around the rocky, stormy coastline. The hot beaches were a distant memory, along with the man that had sent you running for the new town in the farthest corner of the country.
The sun set, sending Forks into a deep darkness, any light from the stars covered by heavy clouds. Street lamps whipped by, blurring as you were taken to the center of the town, to the bus stop where you prayed the doctor was waiting for you.
The driver handed you your suitcase, staring a little too long at the dark bruises on your skin. Nausea rose in your throat, though you couldn’t have been the first person fleeing their ex.
“Someone comin’ for you?” The driver asked, and you nodded, the rain soaking your skin, making your clothes stick to your body as you stood on the tarmac.
Headlights came around the corner, shining on your trembling form. Your name was lost in the wind as the driver called, before the door opened and he stepped out.
“Hey,” Carlisle embraced you, his white button down soaking in the rain as he held you.
“Carlisle—” you began to cry before any explanation could come out.
He didn’t need it, the bruises and scrapes on your body filling in enough of the information. He held your face, unsure what was tears and what was rain, his icy heart breaking at your sad gaze.
“You’re freezing. Let’s get you home. Have you got any bags?” Carlisle offered gently.
“Just this,” you mumbled, holding the backpack, embarrassed that you’d barely made it out with anything.
He opened the car door for you, helping you inside and setting your bag on the floor. He flipped the heater on, hoping it would help your shivering, though he suspected it was more than just the cold.
You rode to the outskirts of town, to the edge of the forest where his huge home was positioned. Walls of glass allowed a view into the warm, loving house, a few figures moving inside, laughing and talking.
Carlisle parked in the garage, ushering you inside.
“Can I clean up?” Your voice was soft with embarrassment.
You felt out of place in his perfect home, a wreck of broken pieces amongst his pristine life.
“Of course. Have a hot shower — Alice will give you something to wear. And then I’d like to take a look at your injuries, if you’re alright with that,” he spoke quietly, and you nodded.
The bathroom door sealed shut behind you, your clothes pulled off and tossed into the dryer before you stepped under a stream of hot water. It soothed your cold bones, the soap stinging your battered skin.
When the water finally shut off, you wrapped yourself in a towel from the warmer, going to stand in front of the illuminated mirrors. You rubbed your hair, trying to get as much of the moisture out as you could before changing into the shorts and loose tee shirt Alice had left for you.
Carlisle prepared his first aid equipment in his office, the room that now had a bed in it, set up for you. It pained him to see you so hurt, his fragile past lover that had coming running when you needed protection.
He looked up at the sound of your voice, taking in the sight of you, a welcome presence he had missed around the house. Carlisle beckoned you to him, his hands catching yours.
“Can I take a look at you?”
You climbed up on his exam table, trying to stay calm as he gently inspected your injuries, wincing as he properly cleaned and bandaged the scrapes. He praised you for being a stellar patient, earning a small smile.
“I’m just checking for internal bleeding,” he explained, gently touching your torso, pulling an x-ray screen over you.
His hand was soft, the first time someone had touched you gently in as long as you could remember. Tears started to well at your lashes as you realized that Carlisle had been the last person to touch you softly, that no one had been tender in the time.
“Everything looks good. You just need to heal,” Carlisle said finally, helping you sit up.
“Thank you, doctor,” you gazed up at him, wishing he would pull you into his arms and promise you everything was going to be okay.
He leaned forward and pressed a kiss to the top of your head before helping you down, leading you into the kitchen where there was hot soup. He scooped a bowl, setting it in front of you on the table, smiling as you hungrily spooned it into your mouth.
“How long did he hit you? Your husband?” Carlisle asked, taking the seat across from you, his hand wrapping around a cup of tea.
“A few months,” you confessed.
His knuckles paled as his grip tightened on the teacup, the thought of anyone, let alone someone you had trusted, laying a hand on you so violently. You were mortified, unable to explain why you had stayed with him, especially now that you were faced with the only man you had ever truly loved.
“You didn’t deserve that,” Carlisle reached out and took your hand in his, both for his comfort and for your own.
“Sometimes it felt like it,” you confessed, your other, shaking, hand raising to cover your mouth as you held in a sob.
“You’re safe now.”
You laid under a quilt, staring at Carlisle’s quiet office, listening to him get ready for bed in the master bedroom across the hall. Your body shivered under the blankets, though not from the cold. Your vision blurred with tears, nightmares creeping up and sinking their talons into you, threatening to tear you apart. The air was restricted from your lungs as your throat closed, preventing you from calming yourself down.
Carlisle rose out of bed at the sound of your distressed breathing. He softly pushed the door to his office open, walking to the small bed you were curled up on.
“Hey, hey, breathe,” he whispered, rubbing your back, rousing you out of sleep.
You sat up suddenly, startling awake from the nightmare, your chest rising and falling in ragged breaths. Carlisle’s arms circled around you, holding you against his strong chest. Your arms wrapped around his neck, clinging to him tightly as you cried into his shoulder.
“You’re okay, it’s just me,” he murmured against your cheek, softly pressing a kiss to your skin.
“Carlisle,” you wept his name, your fingers gripping the shirt that clung to his back.
“I know, love. I know.”
The hands ticked around the clock as he held you, keeping you safe in his arms, even after you managed to fall back asleep. He didn’t want you to fall victim to more nightmares, letting you sleep on his chest the rest of the night.
Forks was unaware the sun rose, thick, dark stormclouds keeping the sky dark. When your lashes fluttered open, you had no idea what time it was, but your body was curled into Carlisle’s side, the doctor typing away on his laptop as he worked, trying his best not to disturb you.
“Sorry,” you mumbled blearily, sitting up and rubbing your eyes as you grew embarrassed about waking up on him.
“Don’t be. How are you feeling?” he questioned, standing up to pour you a cup of coffee from the pot in the corner, adding just a bit of cream the way you liked.
“Like nobody has loved me in a very, very long time,” you whispered honestly, pulling your knees to your chest.
“I never stopped loving you,” Carlisle confessed, suddenly speaking the words you longed to hear.
He tenderly touched your cheek, cautiously pressing a kiss to your lips, wanting to go slow, knowing the trauma ran deep. He was surprised when you leaned into his touch, craving it, as if Carlisle’s gentleness could wash away the memories of the violence you had endured.
“You’re here with me now, and you’re safe. Nobody is going to ever hurt you again. Here, you will always be loved,” Carlisle promised, wrapping you in his embrace.
Hi! Could I request a hc for Jasper (polyamorous w Alice or not, I'm cool w any) where reader is pale, doesn't seem to be the age they say they are and has sharp teeth so all reader's friends joke around saying they're a vampire?
Thank you a lot :D
i want u to know that I had this down in my notebook under the title 'sus reader'
also i'm so sorry i got so carried away & this turned out as a fully written thing rather than hcs. i hope it's still okay
Involved: jasper hale, alice cullen, emmett cullen
“Y’know, Y/n, you’re kinda like a vampire.”
Your friends giggle as juice shoots out your nose and across the table.
“What?” you wheeze through the coughing fit.
On either side of you your partners have gone stone still in a way that only they can. You dig Jasper in the side subtly, probably bruising yourself as you do.
The motion unfreezes them both. Jasper makes an attempt at looking relaxed and Alice giggles unsurely.
“Well, you’re so pale,” your friend points out, her eyes sparkling with mirth, “you’re, like, basically a corpse.”
“This is Forks,” you say, trying for casual rather than defensive. “A lot of people here look like they’re fresh from the morgue.” You pointedly don’t look at your partners. God forbid your friends start accusing them of being vampires.
You feel a wave of calm smother your anxiety. You have to try even harder not to look at your boyfriend, just nudging his leg slightly with yours under the table, trying to get across your gratitude without pulling him into the conversation.
“Well, yeah,” your other friend giggles, his face gleeful at the chance to playfully poke fun at you, “but of all the dead people here you look the most corpse-like.”
You laugh, the false calm Jasper is giving you preventing you from tensing up or sounding uncomfortable. “Yeah, okay, I see what you mean.”
You hope your agreement will be the end of it, but no dice.
She continues, “It’s not just the paleness though, it’s something else…” she stares at you, contemplating.
If it weren’t for Alice’s hand in yours and Jasper holding your anxiety in a chokehold you’d be squirming in your seat.
“It’s the age thing, isn’t it?” your friend says, his voice louder as he gets more invested in the conversation.
“Yeah,” she exclaims, “it’s totally the age thing!”
“What age thing?” Alice asks, voice light with innocent curiosity.
You study her face, finding her lips are tilted upwards just a little too much for her to not be finding this funny. You nudge her with your foot, stubbing your toe against her rock-solid leg.
Her tiny smile only grows at your quiet grunt of pain.
“They look way older than they are!” your friend explains.
Your two friends are grinning, clearly having fun with their joking about. Alice is smiling, too. With one glance at Jasper, it’s clear that if he weren’t concentrating on your anxiety, he’d find this whole situation pretty amusing, too.
You take a breath to try and chill yourself out but find that you can’t.
This is your partners’ big secret on the line! Not even just theirs, but their whole family’s secret too! Who knows what would happen if it got out?
“I see what you mean.”
You shoot Jasper a scandalised look, shocked and scorned by his betrayal.
Distantly, you hear Emmett’s roaring laughter from across the cafeteria.
“I look my age!” you protest loudly, exasperated.
“They’re getting defensive,” your friend laughs, delighted at having riled you up.
“Of course they’re defensive,” the other cackles, “they don’t want us to reveal their true nature.” She reaches over to pat you on the hand with a faux sympathetic look. “It’s okay Y/n, we won’t tell anyone, right guys?”
“Of course not,” Alice says, patting your shoulder reassuringly, “your secret is safe with us.”
Your eye twitches.
“Listen,” you begin, wanting to tell them that you just want this joke to be over already.
“Oh my God,” your friend interrupts, reaching across the table to grasp your chin in between his fingers, tilting your head this way and that. “Look how sharp your teeth are!”
“All the better to suck your blood with,” the other giggles in a shitty Transylvanian accent.
This sets Alice off in a fit of giggles.
You slump down into your seat, groaning, and begrudgingly accept your fate.
A half hour later, slipping into your seat in chemistry, you turn to find Emmett sitting beside you.
“What’s up, baby vamp?” he whispers to you with a grin.
You let your head thump against your desk as he laughs at you.
Author’s Note: Congrats! You guys hit 100+ notes on the first part. If this gets the same treatment, I’ll post part three if that happens :)
With your newfound knowledge of the Quileute shapeshifters, you find yourself invited to a bonfire held by the Elders on the reservation. But when you find out you and Bella are to be the first outsiders ever permitted, you try to worm your way out so as to not break their tradition.
Emily, however, is in your corner and convinces you to attend. So you do and to none of your friends' surprise, you find yourself absolutely enthralled with the Quileute legends and the Third Wife's sacrifice. It also probably didn't help that you had taken an edible and had a bit of a trip while listening.
Then with as much time as you spend visiting La Push, your parents surprise you with a brand-new Jeep- it being an early birthday present so you didn't have to hunt down a ride to your new favorite place down in La Push. So while Bella and Jacob continued their little dance, and the pack introduced Quil into the ranks after he shifted for the first time, you bypassed all that drama by driving yourself to Emily's whenever you had any free time.
Parking in front of Emily's, you grab up the two to-go trays and cardboard drink holder from your passenger seat. You manage to hop out without dropping anything and walk up her porch steps.
"Knock, knock!" You call out since your hands are full. "I'm coming in, so if Sam's shorts are around his ankles he better pull them up before I catch an eye full!"
Emily barks out a laugh as she makes an appearance, meeting you just as you manage to open the screen door with your foot. "Sam and the others are on patrol."
"Good. As much as I joke, I'd probably pee myself if I ever cockblocked the alpha wolf."
She smiles in amusement at you. "Never change, YN. Never change."
"I don't plan on it. Now," you state, setting everything down on the table, "I hope you haven't eaten because one of the guys at the drive-in gave me an extra meal." You open up one of the trays to show her. "I have an extra cheeseburger and some cheese fries."
"Ohh. It's been a while since I've had a good cheeseburger," Emily says. The two of you take a seat at her table and she pulls a tray in front of her. You also pass her one of the sodas and then you dig in. "Why'd they give you an extra meal?" You momentarily freeze at her question, your gaze clashes with hers, and then you take a big bite out of your burger to keep from answering. She slowly grins. "YN, what did you do?"
You sheepishly cover your mouth since you're still chewing. "Nothing."
You continue to chew, washing it all down with some Coke. "Well there might or might not have been some guy that's been angling for a date, and I might or might not have agreed."
Emily's smile falters. "You're going on a date with him?"
"Well, yeah." You shrug and eat a bit more. "He's a fun guy, makes me laugh," you tell her. "But I'm not really looking for anything serious. I think he's hoping to change my mind, but I won't. I'll grant him this one date so he can see I'm not all that interested in anything other than friendship."
The subject drops as you hear the familiar whoops and hollers of the approaching pack, and you grin as they all stumble in behind Sam. He immediately makes a beeline for Emily, bending down to kiss her and then steals a couple of fries from her tray. Embry and Jared attempt to ruffle your hair, and Paul merely nods at you.
Embry and Jared plop into the chairs on either side of you, but it's Embry who boldly reaches for a fry which results in you swatting his hand. He pulls his hand back, frowning. "What was that for?"
"I don't take from your plate, so you don't take from mine."
"Yeah, but Sam and Emily-"
"But Sam and Emily," you mock him, causing Jared and Paul to snicker at their brother. "Sam and Emily are doing the do. He's allowed to steal from her plate and vice versa."
Embry suddenly leers. "Well you and I-" Paul immediately slaps him upside the back of the head and you grin.
"Not happening, Cujo."
"You're so mean when you're not high," Embry mumbles.
"Really? And here I thought I was a delight."
Emily ends up serving Sam some of the lunch that was on the stove while letting the other boys have a go at it after she sits back down. Lunch is a loud affair and for the time being you're absolutely happy.
You get halfway through your cheeseburger- it was a big cheeseburger, after all- and a few fries before you start slowing down. The boys take notice and you roll your eyes while gesturing for them to have at it. Paul snatches the half burger before anyone else and you laugh as the other two grumble while digging into the cheese fries.
"Thank you for lunch, YN," Emily tells you once she's finished. "Even if you had to agree to a date for it."
You don't take notice of it, but Paul freezes and the other three males glance worriedly at him. You, however, laugh as you shake your head at your friend. "You make it sound like I pimped myself out for a free meal."
"Didn't you?" The harshness of the words make you freeze and the look on Paul's face makes you gulp.
"No." You frown. "I was given the food before I even accepted the date." Paul scoffs and suddenly you find yourself getting angry. "What is your problem? Since I've met you you've barely strung together a full sentence to say to me, yet-"
"You are. You're my problem."
"Paul," Sam admonishes.
For barely knowing the guy, his words break your heart. But you school your features and pray nothing shows. "Ever since you and that goddamn leech lover showed up-"
"Paul, outside now!" Sam barks.
Paul's mouth snaps shut as he glares at you and he shoves back from the table in a huff. You flinch when the back door slams shut and immediately Emily is apologizing. "YN, I'm so sorry."
"Don't. Don't apologize for him." You flash her and the others a shaky smile as you stand up, collecting your trash to take to the bin. "I'm, uh, I'm gonna go ahead and head home."
"I do." You smile sadly at her before addressing Sam. "I'm sorry if I made him uncomfortable with my presence. It wasn't my intention to do so."
"You did nothing wrong," Embry grumbles, but one sharp look from Sam quiets him.
When Sam glances back at you, his whole demeanor softens. "Embry's right. It's not you, it's Paul. He's got some.. issues to work through, but he was in the wrong to take it out on you. I'll talk with him."
"Don't even worry about it." And then desperate to get out of the conversation, you glance back at Emily and say, "I'll call you later. Thanks for having me over."
Then before anyone can stop you, you rush from the house and out to your Jeep.
You end up calling Emily two days later, but make excuses to prevent from going over to her house. Thankfully school keeps you busy, but it was only a matter of time before you were pulled back to La Push.
It's dark out when your phone rings, Emily urging you to get to her house because apparently one of the Cullens came back and whisked Bella off to Italy.
Clad in only a too large sweatshirt that falls off one shoulder, flashing the strap of your sports bra, and a pair of flimsy cotton sleep shorts, you shove your feet into a pair of sneakers before shouting at your parents that you'll be at Emily's and would probably be back super late or the next day.
When you get to Emily's, you hurriedly park and climb out of your Jeep. Jogging up to her house, you enter without knocking and find everyone sitting around as Jacob angrily paces around the room. When he spots you, Jacob rushes towards you and it makes you stumble back into the wall at his fast approach.
Hands grab onto your bicep and you stare up, wide-eyed, at Jacob. A low, warning growl from behind him makes the two of you tense, but Jacob pays it no mind. "Your friends with the leeches. Call them. Find out what the hell is going on."
"Jacob!" Sam barks. "Hands off. Let YN sit so we can figure out what's going on."
Jacob reluctantly backs off and Emily rushes to your side, quietly making sure you're okay. You smile weakly at her to assure her you are, and then nod at each of the boys who are intently watching you.
"What's even happening?" You ask. Emily retrieves you a glass of water and you smile in thanks at her.
"Bella," Sam says, speaking over your friend, glaring at him to defy some unspoken thought. He quiets down with a huff and lets Sam speak. "Bella went cliff jumping that resulted in Jacob having to retrieve her from the water. After taking her home, he smelled a leech nearby. Bella recognized the vehicle belonging to one of the Cullens."
"They're back?" You frown.
"Just one," Jacob grumbles. When Sam glares at him, he eventually nods to let him continue the story since he was there. "The small one," he clarifies.
"Alice," you realize.
"But then Edward called and asked for Charlie, and I told him he was out planning a funeral. I guess he thought I meant Bella's and apparently he was going to the vampire royalty so they could kill him."
"Jesus," you mumble, rubbing the spot between your eyebrows. "So why did Alice whisk Bella away then?"
"Because she thinks if they get there in time then Bella can stop Edward from killing himself."
"Do you have any idea about what's going on?" Sam asks. "Any little detail can help. Especially with the vampire royalty they're now speaking of."
You shake your head. "I'm sorry, Sam, I don't." Paul scoffs at his side and you frown at him before giving Sam your full attention once more. "I didn't even know what the Cullens were until after the altercation between Paul and Bella."
"Is there any way to get a hold of them to see if they know anything?" Jacob asks.
"I only have three of their numbers, but they were all disconnected when they moved away."
"Try again," Jacob says.
Glancing at Sam, he nods in agreement. So with a quiet sigh, you pull out your phone from the large pocket in the front of your sweatshirt to scroll through the contacts. You click on Alice's name, but it merely rings once before going to voicemail. "That's new," you mumble. You then scroll down to Edward's name, but his automatically goes to voicemail. "Alice and Edward are a no-go. Let's see about Emmett."
Emmett's number rings once and then twice, and you hurriedly put the call on speaker. It rings twice more before it clicks over.
"I knew I was your favorite."
Your lips twitch in amusement. "Hardly, Dracula. I believe your wife and Jasper are my favorites in your little coven."
The line goes quiet and then, "You know."
"Yeah, I know," you muse. "But that's not what I'm calling about. I'm calling about Bella and why the hell Alice thought it was a good idea to take her out of the country."
There's a brief shuffle on the line before someone else takes over. "Hello YN, it's Carlisle."
"Hello Doctor Cullen."
"May I inquire as to how you found out about our true nature?"
"Sure, but after you explain what Alice and Bella are doing. Jacob is freaking out over here."
Carlisle lets out a soft sigh. "It's to my understanding that my son believed Bella to be dead. With our kind, to lose one's mate, it makes us do foolish things."
"Mate?!" Jacob snarls. He starts to shake uncontrollably and Paul grips him by the shoulder.
"Get him out of here. Now!" Sam demands.
You sigh and then apologize. "Sorry, Carlisle. Please continue."
"With Bella believed dead, Edward wished to join her. He went to the Volturi in hopes they would kill him."
A pad of paper gets held in front of your face and you read a question that had been penned. "Who are the Volturi?"
"They're basically kings in our world. We have to abide by their rules."
"Now if you don't mind answering my question," Carlisle says.
Sam nods at you and you tell him. "Some of the Quileutes have shifted. When Bella confronted one of them and angered him to the point of shifting, we were both brought back to one of their houses. Since they knew Bella knew of the Cold Ones, they figured it was the same for me. It was by accident I learned about you. Sorry."
"Apology is not necessary," Carlisle chuckles softly. "You have been a trusted friend of this family since Edward met Bella. I'm just sorry you have been brought into all of this."
"Well thank you, Carlisle. I should go, but if you hear any updates, can you please let me know?"
"Of course. Goodnight, Miss YLN."
Just as you hang up, a howl pierces the air. Everyone tenses, but it's the pack who rushes for the door. And before he exits, Sam pauses and looks back at you. "Stay here. Don't leave until we get back."
"Yeah. Okay." As the pack rushes off, you yawn and stand from the table. Glancing at Emily, you ask, "Can we move to the sofas? I'm a little tired."
"Yeah. Of course." She follows you into the living room, handing you a blanket after you toe off your shoes and then curl up in the corner of her sofa. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be?" You snuggle down, smiling contentedly.
"With the way things are looking, the coven of Cold Ones might be coming back to Forks. If they do, you'll be going to school with them while they know that you know their secret."
"It'll be fine," you assure her. "After hearing the Quileute legends, I know you're not fond of the vampires, but they treated me perfectly well before. And that was because they knew I knew something was inhumane about them. I just never cared to figure out what."
"You're a lot braver than I am," Emily muses.
"Not really. I was just too high and too hungry to care about other people's issues."
Emily grins as she watches you slowly drift off. "Get some sleep, YN. I'll wake you when the others get back."
Emily tidies up while she has the time. The pack is busy with whatever either Jacob or Paul howled about and you're fast asleep on her couch.
Eventually, once everything is as clean as she can get it, Emily curls up on her sofa chair with the television playing on low. She gets through a couple of FRIENDS episodes before she hears the screen door opening and she sits up.
Sam, Paul and Jared enter the house.
"What happened?" Emily asks. She's addressing Sam, but her gaze falls to Paul whose shoulders sag when he sees YN fast asleep.
Sam catches her stare, grinning. "Jacob caught the scent of a leech on the res. We followed it all the way to Forks, but we're needed here more than there. What about here? She hear anything yet?" Sam asks, gesturing to you.
"No." Emily shakes her head. "She fell asleep right after you guys left, but her phone's been quiet."
"Well there's no use in waking her," he says. "Might as well put her in the guest room for the night."
"I got her," Jared says, only to be stopped with Paul's arm across his chest.
"Like hell you do."
Jared slowly grins. "Why not? YN's a friend of the pack. And besides, it's not like you want her. You made that perfectly clear when you imprinted and fled the kitchen in a huff."
Paul growls, body vibrating.
"That's enough," Sam says, voice hard. "Paul, get YN to the room. Jared, knock it off."
Paul smirks then and Jared rolls his eyes as his brother steps closer to the couch you're asleep on. Carefully, Paul then picks YN up into his arms, one arm under your back and the other under your knees. As he shifts you in his arms and your head lolls to rest on his shoulder, he has to bite the inside of his cheek as you mumble, "Stupid raccoon took my potato," in your sleep.
Emily places a hand over her mouth to stifle her giggles and Sam shakes his head in amusement.
"Did she just talk in her sleep?" Jared muses. "Oh my god. We need to record her."
"No." Paul marches off then, careful not to bang your head on the walls or door jamb to Emily's spare room.
It takes Paul a few minutes to get you situated under the blanket all the while making sure you didn't wake. Then when he's done, he takes a step back to watch you snuggle into the comfort of the bed.
"It's not so bad, you know." Emily's quiet words startle him. "Having an imprint isn't the end of the world."
Paul sighs and turns his back on the bed. "It is when you didn't want the bond in the first place."
"Trust in the Fates." Emily smiles as she reaches up, cupping Paul's face in her hand. "They give you boys an imprint for a reason. Just give her a chance."
He says nothing in response because he knew there would be no reasoning with Emily who had embraced the imprint after Sam explained it to her, and she walks off. Paul never wanted to find his, hoping that Sam was just a rare occurrence, but then he had to go and imprint in Emily's kitchen after he tried to attack his imprint's friend. At first, he was livid, but the restless nights proved he was going to have to talk to you sooner or later.
He makes his way back to the living room to find only Sam and Emily. He asks if he can sleep on the couch for the night and Emily lets him, and then he lays down on the same couch YN had been on.
Hours later, you're waking in an unfamiliar room. Through the opened curtains, you can see the sky barely turning pink with the impending sunrise. Yawning, you stretch in the bed you find yourself tucked into and then reach into the pocket of your sweatshirt under the blanket. You pull out your phone, finding a missed text message from Alice who told you that everything was fine, and the entire family would be back to Forks soon.
Stretching once more, you sit up in bed and practically hold your breath as you see someone pass by the opened bedroom door. The person backtracks and you heave a sigh of relief when you see it's Emily.
"You're awake!" She smiles. "I'm about to start breakfast. Why don't you wash up and come join me?"
"Yeah. Okay," you mumble.
As you stumble out of bed and into the bathroom down the hall, you head straight for the bathroom closet for the bin that holds the spare hygiene products you kept there. You place the bin on the counter space, pulling out your toothbrush, toothpaste and mouthwash. Then after making sure your mouth is all minty fresh, you quickly brush out the tangles in your hair and then tie it up in a messy bun. You wash your face last before putting the bin of supplies back in the closet, and then make your way to the kitchen.
"Sleep okay?" Emily asks as you take a seat at the table.
Smiling lazily at her, you nod. "Yeah. Sorry about the sleepover. You should have woken me up."
"It's fine. None of us wanted you to drive home so late at night." She places a cup of coffee in front you and you readily pick it up, blowing on the steaming liquid.
"So what happened?"
"There was a vampire on our land. The pack chased her away, but they weren't comfortable waking you and sending you on your way. I hope you don't get in trouble for staying last night."
"It's fine. My parents love you and I told them that it was likely I wouldn't be home until today anyway."
"Oh. Okay. Eggs?"
You slowly sip your coffee as Emily cooks and then she's setting a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast on the table in front of you. She has a plate for herself and the two of you happily dig in.
Halfway through breakfast, a tan arm comes into your line of sight and steals a piece of bacon from you. You're still too sluggish to do anything about it, but you do manage to look up and glare at the culprit. Your glare falters, however, when you find Paul smirking down at you.
"Dick," you mumble. Emily chokes on her coffee and Paul chuckles as he takes a seat next to you. When he reaches for your plate again, you're prepared and swat at his hand. "Stop it. S'not nice."
Sam appears at the table then, yawning as he takes a seat. Emily quickly gets up to make them their breakfast and then soon enough the only sounds in the kitchen are that of the forks clanking against the plates.
After your second cup of coffee and a text message from your mother asking if you could do the grocery shopping when you get in, you decide to head home. You help Emily gather dishes, drying after she washes, and thank her for breakfast and letting you stay over.
As you're heading for the door, you feel pressure at your elbow and look over your shoulder to see Paul right behind you.
"Come on. I'll walk you."
You frown at him, wondering what the hell is going on through his head to give him a change of heart towards you, and glance at Emily to make sure she's seeing what you are. But Emily, nor Sam, are any help as they hide smiles behind their mugs of coffee and refuse to meet your gaze.
"Okay..?" Paul releases your elbow, following behind you as you head towards your jeep. You try to put his odd behavior out of your mind, but just as you open the door and climb into the driver's seat, he stops you from closing the door. Again, you frown at him. "What?"
Paul steps back, hands going to the pockets of his jean shorts. "It's just- with the Cullens coming back, we can't patrol Forks anymore."
"Because of the treaty, right?" You ask, trying to recall what you remember hearing from the bonfire stories.
"Yeah. And with them back, I can't protect you."
"Just promise me something? Watch your back with the leeches," he says, speaking over you in a rush. "They say they eat animals, but they can easily slip and murder a whole town."
You open your mouth to defend the Cullens, but Paul turns on his heel and marches off back towards the house. Speechless, you watch him disappear inside before pulling yourself together and starting your Jeep.
Paul Lahote was seriously giving you whiplash, and you didn't know what to make of him anymore.
The Cullen and Hale family return as expected, and Edward and Bella continue their relationship as if the last few months hadn't happened. Jacob and the rest of the pack were the only ones who were absolutely against their return, and it was no surprise that Bella was instantly put between Jacob and Edward.
Those two fought over Bella like she was the shiny new toy, and you sat back to watch everything unfold. Once or twice they tried dragging you into their petty argument over who was better for Bella, but you never entertained them and wisely kept your mouth shut.
For some reason, Paul is even more amped up around you, sneering and scowling and muttering how you smell like a leech now that they were back in school. But by now, you're used to his attitude and merely let his words go in one ear and out the other.
Unfortunately, you can only keep your cool for so long.
"Do you have any plans this weekend?" Emily asks. She's whipping up some batter for muffins while you lean against her counters, the pack sitting at the table talking amongst each other.
"I do, actually. Rosalie wants to go shopping, but she knows if she asks Alice then Alice will invite Bella, and Rosalie is not a fan."
Emily winces and you roll your eyes with a huff as you turn your attention to the now quiet table. "Yes, Paul, the Cold One."
"I thought I told you to be careful around them and now you're spending the day alone with one of them?" He practically seethes. "What the hell are you thinking!?"
"I'm thinking that I can spend the day doing a little retail therapy, that's what I'm thinking."
"They could kill you!"
"So could you!" You finally snap.
"Oh shit. Now you've done it," Jared muses. "YN never raises her voice."
"Both species are dangerous, but I don't see you warning me off the res," you say. "So what the hell is the real issue here?"
"YN, I don't think-"
"No, Em," you cut her off, lowering your voice and shaking your head at her. "I'm done. I'm tired of the attitude and belittling, and now I think it's time for answers." Turning back towards Paul, you ask, "So what is it? You obviously don't like me much, which is fine, but you are so dead set against me hanging out with my friends. So why?"
Paul's glaring at you, but you refuse to avert your gaze. You want answers and you want them now.
"Just tell her, man," Embry says. "This has been going on long enough."
You have no idea what he's talking about, but apparently Paul does. His glare is briefly directed at Embry before turning back to you, and eventually his shoulders sag. "You're my imprint."
"I have no idea what that means."
"You're basically his soulmate," Jared says. "The Fates decide that there is one person perfect for us. So whatever you need, Paul can become it- friend, brother, or lover." He wiggles his eyebrows at you, but his words earn him a slap upside the head from Sam.
Your eyes subtly widen and you stand a little straighter. "W-What?"
"I didn't want you." You rear back as Paul's words instantly make your chest ache. Something must flash across your face because his own eyes widen. "No, I didn't mean-"
"You did." You cross your arms over your chest, holding yourself together. "And i-it's okay. I get it, I think."
"YN.." Paul stands, but you quickly shake your head at him.
"You wanted the choice to pick, am I right? And the Fates took it out of your hands." Your eyes tear up and you quickly glance to your side so he doesn't see you cry. Emily, however, looks just as heartbroken as you feel. "I, uh, I think I should go."
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Definitely." You flash her a feeble smile. "I'll text you when I get home." As you make your way towards the door, from the corner of your eye you see Paul reach for you. But before he can even touch you, you pull away from him. "Don't."
You walk out the door, not bothering to look back.
Inside Emily's house, all is quiet. Everyone can hear the sound of YN's Jeep starting and driving off.
"That was cruel, even for you, man." All eyes are on Jacob as he digs his phone out of his pocket.
"What are you doing?" Paul asks.
"Texting Bella to have her check on YN. Thanks to Emily we know our imprints feel a bit of the bond and you flat out just told yours that you didn't want her."
"I didn't mean it like that! She didn't let me explain."
"Why should she?" Finished with his text, he looks up to meet Paul's gaze. "You've treated her like crap since you've met her. You should've spoken to her a long time ago about the imprint, like we told you, so you could avoid this exact mess. You didn't and now you get to lie in the bed you've made."
Jacob stands and Paul tenses when he notices his packmate heading for the back door. "Where are you going?"
(A/N) Okay, I truly do not think that I brought justice to the request. It was just so adorable! It was requested by the wonderful @rainbow-bunny-bts. Thank you so much for your request! I hope you like it! I am kind of interested in a small series with Jas and a Reader just like this one. Let me know if any of you are interested!
Pairing: Jasper Hale x Reader
Warning: mental exhaustion, school, cuteness
We were only two lessons into the school day, and I was beyond exhausted. As if school, the noises and the sheer number of people weren’t hard enough, being separated from Jasper delivered a killing blow to my psyche.
Sure, we were still in the same building, but he wasn’t close enough to calm me down, no matter how hard he tried.
I had just exited the classroom my last lesson was held in, when a group of yelling jocks ran past me. But…I heard nothing. The only reason I knew they were yelling was because I saw the way their mouths moved.
Two cold hands covered my ears and only let go when the jocks were out of sight. I turned around and was greeted by two golden eyes and a lopsided smile. I smiled back, until I realized that his classroom was too far away from mine. He shouldn’t have been able to be here in time to shield me from the noise. And when I realized that I quickly punched him in the chest. Or, I tried to at least.
With his killer reflexes he stopped me before my fist met his chest.
“How many times do I have to tell you, darling? Thumb goes outside the fist, if you keep it inside, you’re going to break it when you punch someone.” He gently corrected my fingers. “And you’re going to break your entire hand if you punch me. Really, you must be more careful.”
I huffed and pulled my hand away. “Well, if you don’t want me to punch you, don’t use your powers in school. You know that that is dangerous.” He laughed and pulled me into a hug.
“Love, I could feel your exhaustion across the whole school. And we both know how sensible you are to loud noises.” I rolled my eyes but still hugged him back.
“Can we skip the rest of the day?”
He pulled away from the hug and grabbed my hand, carefully leading me out of the school. On the way out we passed his siblings, and the way Edward nodded at Jasper told me that he had told his brother via his mind, what was going on. Alice sweetly waved at me and I returned the gesture.
As soon as we were outside, I took a deep breath. Jasper waited for me to calm down before he led me into the close by woods. He had to leave the cars for his siblings.
Instead he picked me up and sped through the woods until we reached their home. There it was quiet and calm and I could finally let my guard down and relax.
He set me down and I quickly ran to the house and opened the door. Jumping up the stairs, I was almost at the door to his room when I was picked up again. Jasper had reached me just in time to carry me over the threshold.
It was a game the two of us played and so far, I had always lost.
He sat me down on his bed, which he had only gotten for me, and quickly took my shoes off. Before I could snuggle into the soft comforter and blankets, he forced me to take off my sweater, which was his, and my pants. He handed me sweatpants that I could put on instead.
“Do you want some music?” I had already cuddled up when he asked that question. I nodded my head and Jasper put my favorite vinyl on, before he joined me in bed. He pulled me close and let me rest on his chest.
