Pitch blackness surrounded you as the full moon was shining brightly above you; you sat next to Luke at the table as you sipped your hot apple cider and shared a funnel cake. His hand rested on your leg as his thumb stroked your knee. He smiled every chance he could when his eyes met yours, you finished your drink smiling at him. He pressed a soft kiss to your lips before giggling, "Tastes like cider."

You giggled before kissing him with remnants of cider on his soft lips, "You know I'd kiss those lips of yours if they didn't taste like cider."

He smirked before caressing your jaw, "Is that so?" His lips ghosted over yours before kissing your lips repeatedly between giggles.

Your cheeks flushed pink as the cool air brushed your skin, your noses touched as he kissed you again smiling against your lips, "Baby"

"What?" He smiled tucking your hair behind your ear.

"We came here to go to the corn maze." You teasingly shook your head moment before squeezing his hand.

"I almost forgot about that." He giggled as his cheeks turned bright red.

"How did you forget when we’re surrounded by people?"

"I was so focused on you I didn't even think of the corn maze." He admitted with a smile. 

"Oh, Luke." You kissed his button nose and cheek. "I love you."

"I love you," He kissed your forehead, "Let's go hmm?" He smiled as he slowly stood up and helping you get off the bench.

You followed him as he led you to the corn maze, his hand gripping yours as you made your way  through the crowds of people. Luke took a map as he walked with you; he led the way as he smiled at you.

Surprisingly the stalks of corn were taller than Luke, he stood in front of one and you snapped a picture quick, “Can you believe it’s taller than me?”

“No, I can’t.” You giggled showing him the pic before continuing on, your fingers intertwined as he led you further into the maze.

He giggled as he led you down the right path at the fork, you followed him as you swung your arms as you walked, the cold breeze leaving goosebumps on your skin.

Luke slowly let go of your hand moments before he wrapped his arm around your waist pulling you closer, as his body heat radiated off of him. “Better darling?”

“Much better, do you know where we’re going?” You asked as you rested your free hand on his chest.

“Mhm, of course I do.” He kissed your forehead, “We’re taking a shortcut sweetheart.”

You giggled at his enthusiasm as you followed him further into the corn maze. You turned your flashlight on as you turned right, and then left. You walked with him as he insisted he was taking you on a shortcut; unaware of how long the two of you had been walking the corn maze that went on for miles. Your feet squished in the mud as you walked, hitting the leaves of corn stalks out of your way. You looked up seeing the Moon in a different position than it was when you left, you sighed realizing that you were both lost.

“Luke?”

“Yes babe?” He smiled as his hand rubbed your lower back lovingly.

“Where are we?” You asked softly looking into his eyes as the moon illuminated his perfect baby blue eyes.

“In a corn maze silly.”

You jokingly shook your head while giving him a look, “I know that! Are you sure you know where were going?”

“Of course, I know how to get out of here babe I promise.” He reassured as you continued to walk; you could sense that you’d been out here longer than expected when Luke’s body heat wasn’t as prominent. You attempted not to worry but it wasn’t easy.

“Babe, you keep saying that you know how to get out of this maze but I think we’re lost.” You commented as you grabbed your phone to see how much battery percentage you had remaining. You softly gasped when you saw it was at 50%.

“Maybe we are lost, let’s stop and look at the map together.” He suggested as you followed his lead and used your phone’s flashlight to better illuminate the map. He pointed to where he assumed you were and you kept your phone’s light on so you could work together to get out of the maze.

You instructed him on which turns to take before you heard ‘This is Halloween’ blasting from the speakers as a sign you were close to the end. You followed the music and sighed when you saw the tent with kids coloring. You put your phone in your pocket as Luke held your waist, “We made it.”

“We did, for a moment I wasn’t sure if we’d be returning home to Petunia.” You teased kissing his cheek.

“I wouldn’t have let that happen, I’m in need of your cuddles.” He smiled kissing your forehead puling you against him.

“Cuddles sound perfect.” You beamed as your foreheads pressed together before his cold nose brushed yours causing you to giggle at the sensation.

“You’re perfect, I love you.” He breathed against your lips before softly kissing you. You smiled against his lips moments before wrapping your arms around his neck.

“I love you.” You sighed happily as everything around you paused as he held you close to him. You knew before you had even gotten home your night was just getting started in the best way possible.
