Waktu lagi asik-asiknya scrolling timeline Twitter nemu satu tweet yang lumayan 'menyentil'

Sempet baca tweet awal yang diquote sih. Waktu ngebaca emang berasa rakyat miskin dan tidak ber-privelege aja karena ada orang yang beneran tinggal di kawasan elit Kuningan sedangkan gweh baru ngekos di Sudirman aja udah ngos-ngosan.

Nah, waktu si quote tweet txt itu lewat langsung kayak "damn ternyata aku berprivilege sekali"

Ibuk adalah orang yang semangat banget buat belajar dan punya banyak buku. Dari kecil, ibuk selalu rutin ngajak aku dan Mbak Din buat jalan-jalan ke toko buku.

Walaupun ekonominya sulit, ibuk selalu berusaha biar anak-anaknya bisa baca buku sebanyak-banyaknya. Dulu kalau jalan-jalan ke mall itu ada tiga destinasi wajib :

Hypermart, buat beli sirup nanas dan kue chiffon

Food court, buat beli satu steak yang dibagi bertiga

Gramedia, buat baca buku yang segelnya udah kebuka atau beli buku

Karena harga buku lumayan mahal ya (eleh dulu buat bayar SPP aja megap-megap) jadi alternatifnya bisa cari buku bekas di Wilis. Seru banget. Aku selalu inget dulu ke Wilis muter-muter cari majalah Bobo, majalah Princess, dan buku Atlas yang tebel.

Alternatif lainnya adalah minjem buku terus difotokopi di rumah wkwkw. Berhubung mata pencaharian bapak adalah toko fotokopi kicil, maka fotokopi selalu gratis wkwkw. Sering minjem ke perpustakaan kecil deket rumah atau ke perpustakaan sekolah terus dibawa pulang dan minta difotokopi.

OIYA, ada salah satu core memory terkait fotokopi ini wkwkw.

Kakakku kan potter head banget ya, maniak lah dia dengan Harry Potter. Dulu dia koleksi seluruh buku Harry Potter (yang mostly fotokopian) dan tiap ke warnet googlingnya Harry Potter terus. Waktu tahun 2007-2008 itu kan novel terakhirnya yang Deathly Hallows rilis tapi kita gabisa langsung beli karena ✨himpitan ekonomi✨ akhirnya kita sabar-sabar aja nunggu buku itu ada di perpus atau minjem anak orkay di sekolah wkwkw.

Namuuun suatu hari ada pelanggan dan dia ngefotokopi HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS. Ibuk yang tau anaknya maniak HP ngefotokopi 2x itu buku, satu untuk customernya satu buat anaknya. Dulu kita seneng banget dan rebutan buat baca wkwkw.

Sampe sekarang masih inget bentuk tu buku fotokopian. Covernya kertas bufallo oranye dengan bentuk memanjang, bolak balik, dan diperkecil. Dang, nearly cried while writing this.

Anyway, selain itu aku juga dulu waktu SD sempet langganan koran BERANI di sekolah. Tiap hari Senin pulang sekolah selalu mampir koperasi dan beli di etalase paling ujung. Waktu pulang sangat excited membaca sampe kelewatan tidur siang. Good old days yang masih uring-uringan kalo disuruh tidur siang, kalau sekarang rasanya mau tidur siang tiap waktu.

Outputnya, dari kecil aku jadi suka banget baca dan nulis.

Ada diary waktu TK yang dengan runutnya cerita tentang pengalaman liburan ke pantai. Membaca tulisanku di blog ini, I guess that habit is still running in the blood until now.

Hobi membaca itu emang sempet kepause waktu SMP-SMA (salah pergaulan kali wkwkw) dan akhirnya diteruskan lagi waktu kuliah akibat terpaksa. Anak spikologi ini kan bukunya tebel-tebel ye orgil dan harus dibaca habis. AND I AM!!! bajigur berbagai buku ratusan halaman itu habis gweh baca BAHKAN DIRANGKUM buat bahan belajar temen-temenku. qren bgt loe.

Anyway, I owed my mother a big thanks for the privilege. Nggak berbentuk materi, tapi manfaatnya bisa kerasa sampe sekarang. Salah satu hal yang pasti akan tak teruskan jika nanti jadi berkembang biak.

Il revival di ‘Criminal Minds’ riparte su Paramount+

Alcuni membri del cast e lo showrunner Erica Messer sono tutti a bordo per il nuovo volume del crime drama.

Un revival di Criminal Minds è di nuovo in fase di sviluppo su Paramount+.

Quasi un anno e mezzo dopo che il progetto era stato annunciato per la prima volta, la piattaforma di streaming ha ordinato una intera stagione per la serie, che riunirà i membri del cast Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, A.J. Cook, Aisha Tyler e Paget Brewster. Anche lo showrunner Erica Messer è a bordo, sebbene Matthew Gray Gubler e Daniel Henney non ritorneranno.

okay so. i have to preface this by saying with understanding is harrowing. that’s not an exaggeration. please please please heed the warnings in the fic. it’s dean/cas but it’s a kind of like, character study of dean through the eyes of a version of cas who is human and works for the BAU of criminal minds fame. i have not finished it yet so i can’t say anything about how it ends but it’s very heavy on dubious consent and isn’t something i necessarily recommend reading but i do find it compelling and interesting. don’t go into it expecting like, romance. it’s not on ao3 anymore but you it’s on gdrive here as epub, and here as mobi. there’s also a pdf version but iirc its missing some of the follow up content. 

down to agincourt is an extremely long series by seperis about end!verse that is unfinished and sits at over a million words already. i have not read it yet and do not know if i have the strength to do so before it’s published in its entirety but we’ll see how it goes. you can read that on ao3 here.

In 2013, a series by the name of Hannibal staring Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy premiered on television and was immediately embraced by the fandom community.  Dating long before Silence of the Lambs, the show features a BSU consultant by the name of Will Graham who is called into service because of his unique ability to profile serial killers.  He develops a professional and later, a personal relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter.

In the beginning the question of Will’s mental state was brought up, the reason Lecter was introduced into the series, he was hired on assess Will Graham after cases to make sure his fragile mental state was not deteriorating.  It allowed Hannibal to get close to Will and manipulate him in an attempt to turn Will into a killer like himself.  The show ended after three seasons and during those seasons, the show’s creator, Brian Fuller, made cinematography magic with his sets and scenes, a lot of them gruesome yet exquisite.

Hannibal became fandom’s gory darling, the relationship between Will and Hannibal being the main fodder. This was furthered by the support of Bryan Fuller’s comment in Collider stating that he saw Hannibal as being in love with Will Graham. https://collider.com/bryan-fuller-hannibal-silence-of-the-lambs-interview/

Just this past week, a new twist on the Silence of the Lambs timeline premiered with Clarice. Clarice takes place a year after Silence of the Lambs and the Buffalo Bill murders. She is pulled from the BAU and sent to a task force run by Ruth Martin, the mother of Buffalo Bill’s only surviving member, Catherine.  Created by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet, Clarice is not affiliated with Hannibal, the Series, in any way, rather, it is a telling of Clarice Starling’s story after the events of Silence of the Lambs.

Here’s where it differs. And remember, this is only the first episode.  By the time I post this, there will be two episodes out.

In the opening scene, Clarice Starling is sitting in a therapist’s office.  The therapist, a man with no name as of yet, is trying to get her to tell him about her feelings regarding the one-year anniversary of the Buffalo Bill murders.  He even has a copy of a magazine that features her on the cover with the title “Bride of Frankenstein.”  The more he pushes the more she holds back, telling him the rots answers that most FBI therapists want to here.  Finally, she mentions the magazine was bought by him as a trigger to see if she would break and he tells her that he thinks she’s not stable enough to go back in the field because she refuses to use to the “survivor” in relation to her encounter with Buffalo Bill.  She is not a survivor, she was never kidnapped, she was an FBI agent doing a job.  He also cites her relationship with Hannibal Lecter, insinuating that it was more personal in nature than he thought necessary.

Before he can put her at a desk, she is called back into the field by Ruth Martin and put under the team led by Paul Krendler, a man who Clarice “upped” in the movie when she was a trainee.  He doesn’t want her there, insists on a profile after seeing the first two bodies and when she can’t give an accurate one because she doesn’t have all the evidence, he tells her she had to tell the press it’s a serial killer.

It’s already shown that Clarice has a bit of trauma with press conferences and this is something that keeps coming back.  The press want Clarice and Paul Krendler just wants her to be the face of his team and tells her that she will say what he tells her to say.  Clarice is not taken seriously by Krindler, by anyone else in the office, (there’s a scene where men from the other unit that share an office, coat her desk drawer with lotion and leave that lotion and a basket in the drawer and then laugh about it).  Clarice is blocked at every turn by men, even her therapist calls Krindler and tells him to bench her because he’s worried about her mental state.

The first time we meet Will Graham, his mental state is mentioned as tenuous, yet the FBI have no problem throwing him right out into the field.  Clarice was a trainee who managed to catch a serial killer, and somehow she’s considered too “fragile” to be put on any cases other than desk jobs.  In fact, throughout the entire first episode, the only person on her new team to take an interest and believe what she says is Thomas Esquivel, an ex-special forces soldier turned agent who believes in what she says.

From the first moment of this show the misogyny was right out on view, there is no hiding that all of the men in this show do not like Clarice because she’s young, she’s a woman and they are intimidated by her talent.  Her only support comes from Agent Esquivel and her friend and former trainee Ardelia Mapp.

I mention the misogyny because it’s not all on the show. It’s from the fans as well. The first time I was reminded the show was on was when I noticed Hannibal was trending on Twitter. The day and time frame Clarice aired its premiere, Twitter was lamenting that they wanted a season four of Hannibal.  While researching for this blog, I used IMDB to get names and plot points.  And came across this comment about the premiere:

“Can we bring back Hannibal, please?

And by that I am of course referring to the excellent series featuring Mads Mikkelsen's amazing portrayal of Dr. Hannibal Lecter. That series had great style, fantastic atmosphere, and stellar directing, editing, and acting. They planned to tell the ultimate Hannibal Lecter story but only were able to make three seasons out of a seven season plan. So, here we have a Clarice Starling series that had been in the works for years but didn't get the train running till now. So the premiere - Meh. Rebecca Breeds makes a very good Clarice but nothing else is up to her level. The cinematography isn't bad but the atmosphere is lacking, the characters are none too memorable, and the storyline isn't attention grabbing enough. I give it about a season at least.”

I don’t know the time when this posted, but I’m not surprised by the comment at all.  Comment and review bombing seems to be the way that fans express their “disappointment” about their old shows not getting anything…or rather, their favorite male characters not getting more screen time.

A freshman series about a female criminal profiler who is pushed down, ignored, harassed because of her sex.  It’s almost a case of life imitating art.

I was going to leave this post as it was and post it today but last week the second episode aired which showed Clarice pushing past childhood trauma to face down a cult leader and a corrupt government system thereby earning Krendler’s respect and her position on the team.  And while Thomas Esquivel told her that a team is only good if each of its members understand that they can trust and support one another, thereby hopefully foreshadowing that this team will eventually accept Clarice as one of their own and in turn she will do the same, it took her risking her life by going back inside the compound, disregarding orders and singlehandedly getting the information needed to put both the cult leader and head of the County Sheriff down for the count for Krendler to finally see her worth and decide to keep her on the team.

I liked Clarice.  It was hard to watch at times, not only because of the trauma she is dealing with as well as the survivor, Catherine, calling her and harassing her, but because of the anger I felt watching Clarice get stepped on time and time again by the men in this show, only to get up and do her job.  Her final speech she makes at the end of episode one about her grandmother is inspiring and gives the viewer a bit of a “in your face” to the men behind her, especially Krendler…even though we all know he’s going to make her life a living hell when they get back to the office because she didn’t follow his rules.  That said, this show is very much a procedural, much like CSI or Criminal Minds. The series follows the format of the movie.  This is not Hannibal.  It’s not trying to be Hannibal, It is trying to be Clarice.  And, as the quote goes, it’s going to have to work twice as hard to even get one half of the respect it deserves.

Criminal Minds episode idea

(I know it's already over, but)

So, the BAU gets called somewhere (doesn't matter where, but probably in Kansas, preferably in Lawrence just for parallel purposes)

The unsub is killing people by burning their eyes out with a blowtorch then stabbing them in the chest with a dagger that has three sides (angel blade). The BAU is confused because there is one connection between the victims, and that connection is that they all watch this one tv show called "Supernatural". When Garcia looks on their Twitter accounts, she finds that all of them were active on Spn stan Twitter as Destiel haters. (One was even a fan of W*nc*st.)

Spencer finds the Fandom app and prints out and reads the summaries of all the episodes. (ALL OF THEM) The unsub would be an insane Spn fan and would be found with a victim, about to burn their eyes out, and not going to back down. Spencer says "Destiel is cannon, but they're fictional characters" and shoots them in the head. Hotch would be so done.

Emily had been watching the series since it came out. Reid and Emily talk about it the entire way back, joined by Garcia because of course she watches it as well.

The next day, there's a Tweet by Misha. It reads: "What the Hell." And is tagged "#DestielDecimator".

– Jika sakit di bulan Ramadhan tidak sempat meng-qadha (tidak sengaja melambatkan), yaitu sempat sembuh sebentar ketika Ramadhan selesai , atau sempat meng-qadha tetapi baru sebagian. Maka sisanya tidak teranggap hutang puasa dan tidak ada fidyah

– Jika sakit di bulan Ramadhan kemudian sempat sembuh dan sengaja melambatkan qadha. Keluarganya/walinya membayarkan fidyah.

*N. Pengambilan sampel darah untuk pemeriksaan laboratorium TIDAK membatalkan puasa*

*O. Persediaan darah di PMI menipis ketika bulan Ramadhan*

Memberikan donor darah tidaklah membatalkan puasa. Untuk menangani masalah ini perlu kerjasama antara pemerintah, tokoh agama dan tenaga kesehatan. Perlu ada sosialisasi dari pemerintah dibantu dengan tokoh agama dan eksekusi yang baik dari tenaga kesehatan ketika bertugas. Semoga permasalahan terbatasnya stok darah selama bulan Ramadhan tidak terjadi lagi. Sehingga membuat tenang para petugas medis dan bisa memberikan bantuan medis secepatnya kepada pasien.

*P. Cara puasa orang terkena penyakit epilepsi*

Jika sedang kambuh, puasanya bisa dibatalkan. Jika sadar dan tidak kambuh meng-qadha puasa Ramadhannya. Jika tidak mampu karena seringnya kambuh, bisa membayar fidyah saja.

*Q. Vaksinasi  di bulan Ramadhan*

Suntikan vaksinasi TIDAK membatalkan puasa. Vaksinasi hukumnya mubah dan secara kedokteran bermanfaat

*R. Pembatal puasa terkait dengan anestesi (pembiusan)*

Mengenai hilangnya kesadaran selama anestesi:

1. tidak sadar sehari penuh (selama waktu diwajibkan puasa), puasanya TIDAK sah

2. tidak sadar hanya beberapa saat (tidak penuh selama waktu diwajibkan puasa), puasanya  SAH

El 7 de enero, Big Hit Entertainment anunció los inminentes planes de regreso para la súper estrella mundial multimillonaria BTS.

Big Hit siguió este zumbido con el lanzamiento de un "mapa" en su Twitter que describe un puñado de planes promocionales previos al álbum, incluidos dos trailers de regreso, titulados "Shadow" y "Ego", programados para el 10 de enero y el 3 de febrero, respectivamente.

BTS definitivamente no son ajenos al mundo del arte. Con frecuencia comparten fotos de sus visitas a galerías de todo el mundo en las redes sociales, mientras que V, es un pintor en ciernes, lo que hace que este proyecto esté cerca de sus corazones. ||"Personalmente, me convertí en fanático de las bellas artes el año pasado, así que soy un principiante. Gropius Bau de Berlín presentará "Rituals of Care" (del 15 de enero al 2 de febrero), una serie de obras de más de 17 artistas internacionales (incluidos Jelili Atiku, Maria Hassabi, Kennis Hawkins y Stephen Thompson), que abarca coreografías experimentales, prácticas curativas , ambientes sonoros y paisajes en movimiento.

Jungkook mencionó: ||”Tuve la oportunidad de hablar con los artistas, y lo que fue significativo para mí fue cómo se completó la obra de arte a través de la experiencia de las personas. A continuación, Buenos Aires verá la presentación "Fly With Aerocene Pacha" de Tomás Saraceno, donde un humano flotará en el cielo alimentado solo por el sol y el aire que respiramos, según un comunicado de prensa. Su objetivo es establecer el récord mundial para un vuelo totalmente solar, con la película resultante que se proyectará del 21 de enero al 22 de marzo.

Durante la presentación, Tomás Saraceno, quien asistió para discutir su trabajo, agregó que es una declaración sobre la crisis climática.

La plaza “Dongdaemun Design” de Seúl será el hogar de dos exhibiciones públicas importantes del 28 de enero al 20 de marzo. La primera, de la artista británica Ann Veronica Janssens, se titula "Verde, Amarillo, Rosa", mientras que la segunda, "Más allá de la escena", ve al artista coreano Yiyun Kang proyectar los movimientos de baile característicos de BTS a través de las técnicas de mapeo de proyección. Finalmente, el Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 3 de la ciudad de Nueva York albergará el "New York Clearing" de Antony Gormley: 18 kilómetros de tubos de aluminio que se enrollan y enrollan sin principio ni fin. Aveline shook her head. "Is Vael here?"

Leandra clicked her tongue and shook her head. "Sebastian refused our hospitality and went back to his chambers. Silly boy, he clearly needed to rest, and we have plenty of room."

Aveline sighed, the line of her shoulders slumping down in something that looked a bit like relief.

It wasn't as if Alec was completely different, he hadn't turned into some weird pod-person version of himself or something... and yet he kind of had. He was softer around the edges than she'd ever seen, the careful way he spoke coming across as warm and studied rather than cold and calculating, though she wasn't at all sure she could tell anyone what the difference was, beyond the tendency to blush just a little every time Magnus smiled at him.

Now that he knows about it, Magnus can feel the magic beneath Alec's skin, an extra echo behind the usual steady thrum of Angelic blood. It rises and falls, just like waves, and when he wakes up the next morning to warm golden silence, he listens to the way it blends with Alec's breath, with his heart-beat, all three slow and steady with sleep.

He wonders how he missed it.

He wonders what else the Curse is hiding from them.

The first time Magnus believes that Alec is not and never will be afraid of his magic is when he's doing something almost mundane with it: stirring the pasta sauce from across the room because he's still trying to find the colander. If he doesn't know where it is he can't summon it, and it's not where he thought he put it. He's pretty sure that's Alec's fault, being all gorgeous and focused on Magnus almost immediately after dinner the night before. 

He turns around to ask Alec if he remembers, and he catches Alec staring at the glint of magic still lingering around his fingers as he keeps the spell going, and it's very similar to the look on Alec's face when they're playing pool, when he's trying to decide if he wants to finish that game or start on another entirely different sort. Magnus snaps his fingers to turn the heat off under the pots and moves them all into the fridge; they'll deal with food later.

Alec makes a lovely little noise in the back of his throat, almost a whine, and oh, Magnus wonders how he'd never noticed that before, how he'd been so prepared for suspicion that he hadn't seen it was the exact opposite.

It was beyond strange to just walk up to the New York Institute. The perimeter guard scowled at Magnus when he stepped out of his portal, and the guard at the door looked vaguely queasy as she waved him through, but neither of them tried to stop him or ordered him an escort or anything. Magnus had considered calling, as the whole soulmate thing hadn't progressed enough to give him a sense of direction or anything, but he'd decided the surprise might be fun. 

Also he was still weirdly nervous about calling Alec, even though he knew that was ridiculous. He knew that as soon as he saw Alec again all his worries would disappear to be replaced by an ache in his chest and a tug in the center of his palm pulling them closer together; telling himself that didn't help with the nerves now.

Or perhaps Magnus had just wanted to know if it would really work, if Alec putting him in their computer and making an announcement in their Operations Centers would really mean Magnus could just... walk right in, all by himself.

He could.

A few months later, Fuller's team caught a housecleaner, someone killing junkies and prostitutes, wiping away all the lives he didn't approve of... a housecleaner who it seemed, now that they were looking, had probably been working in San Diego for years. He’d only caught the SDPD's attention now because he'd gotten a couple of tourists who'd been trolling for prostitutes rather than his usual homeless types; if he hadn’t made a mistake, they probably still wouldn’t have caught on.

Lightwood joined them on the jet.

Fuller hadn't realized that he'd gotten used to team-leader Lightwood, who was fair and steady and supportive beneath that cool imposing self-control, until he walked into CPD behind SSA Lightwood and saw the entire precinct flinch at the way a Fed was staring at them.

untitled arranged marriage fic (I tweet-threaded an idea for this and am now trying to write it? We’ll see. Some day. Hopefully.) This bit has nothing to do with Malec or anything, it’s from the prologue, but I love any and all variations on Lydia & Alec as friends. Who get drunk together, apparently!

"I was engaged once." Lydia's eyes are glassy, her shoulders slumped, and Alec's heart aches in sympathetic agony. "He died. Two years ago today."

"I'm sorry." Alec knows it isn't much, isn't really anything, but it's all he's got. 

"So'm I." She sighs. "I couldn't bear staying in our Institute without him."

"So you transferred to the Inquisitor's Office." 

Lydia does a nod-shrug gesture and clinks her glass against his, somehow managing not to spill. 

"I am never going to fall in love again." Her head ducks down and she stares at him from under her eyebrows. "No offense, if you were thinking about something."

"Nope." Alec shakes his head sadly. For about twice as long as usual before he manages more words. "I'm never gonna get to fall in love at all." He lets his gaze linger on the cute bartender he's been trying not to stare at too much all night, but the man's got a very tight t-shirt on and it's been very difficult. 

Lydia's head tilts as she turns it to follow his line of sight, and she sighs out a long quiet oooooohhh. "That sucks." She pouts a little on his behalf, and it's unexpectedly adorable. 

"Yeah." He taps his glass against hers in agreement this time, and then she waves at the bartender to pay for their next round herself.
