nothing sets me crying more than reading the teasers for the wicked powers/the black volume of the dead, so why not overanalyze them and wish for death in the process (i got all of them from the page on fandom)

TWP predictions

This isn’t as much as a prediction as an observation. Anyways, someone might have already realised this but I haven’t seen a post about it so I’ll make one. I was just rereading TMI (for Alec and the Blackthorns) and I found THIS:

So The Last Shadowhunter could be an apocalypse. It could also be about Jonathan Shadowhunter or the first Shadowhunter (is there a difference between Nephilim and Shadowhunters?) could also be The Last Shadowhunter.

This prediction isn’t new but here is some evidence for Lucifer being The Last Prince Of Hell. Also, in this part they are talking about Morgensterns and Lucifer so Ash and Lucifer connection??? Janus made a deal with Lucifer????

I haven’t got anything on The Last King Of Faerie but there’s probably something in TDA or TMI (too bad that I’m too lazy).

I think there is quite a possibility that two ppl will be featured in each cover like how in cofA we had clary and Simon and lost souls we had clary and Jace and cOfhF we had clary and Sebastian. So it could go like

Last king of faerie:- Kit and Ash

last prince of hell :- Lucifer??? And Ash????

last Shadowhunter:- Could be a final showdown with the blackthorns leading the final battle so it could be Dru and Ty 👀

I had a Magical ADHD Train of Thought after seeing the TWP titles in which canon spins into a universe where Matthew is trying to get Thomas and Alastair to go see his runway show in Paris, but they discovered Snuggies and are very happy because they can share a Snuggie and order GrubHub on their weird little "smartphones" and never get up. I will explain this train of thought when I am not horribly motion sick

I may not fully believe in manifestation, but I'm out here hoping/wishing/praying for a happy ending for Kit and Ty in The Wicked Powers.

Here’s to them settling down in a remote cottage tucked in some picturesque countryside surrounded by endless fields of heather and grasses. A tiny place where Ty can care for chickens (that Irene dutifully guards) and maybe a particularly sweet cow; where Kit can cultivate the kind of garden that would make his mom proud. Something all their own where they can make meals together–always should-to-shoulder in their small kitchen, finally get through all the Lord of the Rings movies and Ty’s Sherlock Holmes collection, and fall asleep under far too many blankets; fingers overlapping beneath the covers.

Out of it all, they deserve a place to just be. Finally away from the constant life-threatening battles and foreboding prophecies, they can simply be two kids in love. Slow dancing in their bedroom to songs crackling through Ty’s headphones, getting wine drunk while watching trashy mundane reality tv that Kit has to admit even he doesn’t understand sometimes, and talking walks around the countryside while Ty rattles off facts about any wildlife that crosses their path. They travel all across the world to see their family for holidays, birthdays, and simple get-togethers but their home is only for them. 

It’s peace, despite all that it took to get there. Maybe there’ll be another disaster come five years. Maybe a rogue faerie will come out of the woodwork to finish what was started. Maybe one of Ty’s investigations will go south far too fast. Maybe some other teenager will be found with powers unimaginable and devastating. But for now, they have each other in fraying loungewear and matching inky black runes over their hearts, and it’s enough.

I’ve been thinking about how TWP is going to be based on Arthurian legend and how a classically big part of that is Excalibur. While Excalibur could be the gun I offer another item:

The Blackthorn Sword. Probably more unlikely but imagine if after what happened with the weird lightning and Bridget gave the sword some sort of cool power that is only accessed when Dru uses it or only allows Dru to wield it at all.

my (multiple) inner scenarios of kit and ty's reunion:

clace wedding reunion - imagine kit herondale IN A SUIT!!! WITH A LITTLE BLUE FLOWER!!! THAT MATCHES HIS EYES!!! and being jace's groomsman/ring bearer (bc alec will deffo be best man)!!! *ty drooling in the background*

sudden, unexpected reunion on a mission - ya'll know this: KNIFE SCENE 2.0 but reversed and they've thought about each other for YEARS and are suddenly in front of each other and all ty thinks is "how beautiful" :'))

family meeting - they know they're gonna see each other and are giddy little fools and it's awkward and bittersweet (yes i like pain)

one of them gets hurts and the other runs there IMMEDIATELY without a second thought and we get the "i thought i lost you" scene very early on (bit of a stretch ik but idc)

they meet again in the LA institute when tessa and jem have business there and kit isn't expecting ty to be there so he just🧍🏼‍♂️and they just stare at each other like love sick fools and say shy "hi's" while simultaneously freaking out about how much they've both changed (*cough* gotten even hotter *cough*)

kinda wild but imagine they meet again in THULE! and the implications behind that! is thule!kit alive? they will need to work together to get through this place and dum dum dum angst and feelings ensue (and our hearts get shattered, nothing new)

the way cc wrote a character named Drusilla who is obsessed with gothic/horror things and one of the only shadowhunters in tune with mundane pop culture and has set her up to have a morally questionable man with white-blonde hair as love interest in the series where she will be protag… I know she’s doing all this for there to be a direct sprusilla rererence in TWP I’ve seen it she is not slick at all.

It was voted on previous polls that only Tessa or only Jem won't die, but @hahahax30 theorized that it is possible that they could both die in TWP, and herongraystairs can finally meet again.

I just wanna clarify that these don't necessarily have to be sad or tragic deaths. Jem could die of old age and Tessa could somehow join him and Will in a peaceful way. - Or they could both die in battle. Use your imagination.
