I have a thought and I’d like to share (if you don’t mind) - Bakugo with a pro hero partner. Like I feel as though all I ever see is civilian!reader or assistant!reader and that’s great, but I need me a girl boss who kicks ass and Bakugo’s head over heels, like I imagine this person to be so adored and loved as well - like the ideal “celebrity” so kind and sweet, well-spoken, but Villains hear her name they go runnin’ - everyone’s low-key got crushes on her, Katsuki’s wondering what the hell he did to rizz her up and because they’re both public figures, in spite of how naturally private he is, I think he’d feel more comfortable off-handedly making comments about her every now and then, showing up to events together.

i think bakugou could have such a flourishing relationship with another pro hero.

like, i really do. i think that it's hard for him to meet people outside of work LOL so meeting/working with another pro hero is, i think, a very natural way to come together. i also think that bakugou would really appreciate reader's hard work ! their passion ! their motivation ! i think that would genuinely be such a draw for him ??? i absolutely think a pro hero relationship would really work out for him, and i have one pro hero reader wip and the dynamic between them is my favorite i think i've ever written, bc they just fit so well.

but i will say that this is not typically a reader i picture for him ?? as my go-to ?? it's always assistant reader aikhfaha LMAO and. i really don't think i have a good explanation why, but. something like—i like to imagine bakugou having a break from it all, and i just don't think he'd get that with a pro hero partner ??

idk !! like, if one of you isn't on patrol, the other probably is, like 90% of the time, and i imagine it's hard to get just free time to be together, bc you both would probably be so busy !! and if you were working together at the same agency or partnering up at random points, i feel like it would be so hard to come home from work and not. bring it with you 🥺 as a pro hero i feel like that's impossible, and were the two of you both bearing the weight of that responsibility, i feel like it would be hard to have a relationship outside of that ?? if that makes sense ?? and i also personally believe that bakugou has had too much pro hero at the young age of SEVENTEEN, so i like to imagine a life for him where he can put it all away, even for a little bit 🥺

you could definitely argue that having an assistant reader would be similar, bc you would still be involved in the hero world, but. idk. i think being there on the sidelines and being in it are different, and i like to imagine bakugou coming home from a long shift and getting to hear about what you did at your regular job or what you did in the garden, where you went shopping, etc 🥺 just. give him some normalcy 🥺

but that's just my personal preference !! though i definitely enjoy the pro hero reader angle !! please katsuki wondering what the hell he did to rizz you up LMAOOO tbh, i think if we ever were fed some kind of love story for bakugou in canon, they would give him a badass pro hero partner, bc i really think he would have a lot of respect for someone that can handle it, not to mention does it well. like. i think he definitely has the loserboy hots for them LOL

sorry for rambling but uhrrmmm ig continuation of the mirror room ask: if ink re-entered i think the many soulless "him"s would just reinforce his hopeless worldview even more tbh. that he's doomed to end up tgis way always. oh yeah on an unrelated note on his backstory yk that 1 tidbit ab how he initially tried to "make his world a better place" but no one answered and like he did try everything in the book before resorting to destroying his soul. the other inhabitants of _____tale just went numb and accepted their fate and he grew hateful other those other sketches bc of that iirc. i think about that a lot. something something _____'s undoing is caring too much and Ink's flaw is not caring enough. something something he became the thing he hated the most, and how it's implied he's not so happy w/ who he is ig this ties in with the reason FTFO!Ink (Healer) and Prism being more good-aligned is because *somebody came* so he still retains that urge to help and to change yk.

That’s literally SO interesting. I’ve thought about the irony of Ink going from being the only being in his world with a soul to one of the only ones without it, but I never quite made the connection between that and the whole “ink probably doesn’t like who he is” thing (which I really need to think about more in general aughhh).

It makes sense though! Though Ink obviously doesn’t remember anything from his life before he ripped out his soul, so I think that “”self loathing”” so to speak (though I don’t think Ink HATES themselves) would be subconscious. They just, feel unsatisfied for some reason, not quite being able to put their finger on exactly WHY but it’s just a gut feeling. Like the feeling that no creation should be abandoned he probably gets that I’ve discussed before, not knowing why he feels this way just that he feels it’s innately wrong.

Though even still, even if Ink doesn’t like the way he is, he can’t exactly easily change the part of him that, well, doesn’t change the world around him too much. They don’t really see anything wrong with how the multiverse currently is (as long as nothing is being tampered with) because, well, it’s all just stories right? And even if they did, it would interfere with the scripts far too much to even TRY and change things, making him fail at his job. Kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place in a way.

Doesn't mean Ink is incapable of personal change (I’m tackling that subject myself 👀), but still! Becoming the very thing you used to hate the most, not liking yourself for it deep down (though also probably trying to suppress that dislike cuz it gets in the way of other things), and yet not exactly able to change that part easily so you’re kinda stuck like that one way or another.

God Ink has so many problems what a great character. Who put all this illness in your mental sir? Oh right your creator

I just KNOW Jeb feels conflicted about the plush. Because it's of him and you love it so much, so you must having some type of feelings for him, but on the other hand you give all of your affection to the doll?? When you can just give it to him??? He's torn between being smug, flustered, and jealous. anyway tease Jeb and give him kisses too because man has been through a lot, and doesn't need to get all worked up about a plushie.

AAAA OMFG This is completely adorable, I can't take it. Every time I think I've reached maximum love for Jeb, you just toss another drawing at me and it increases exponentially. (This has me clenching my heart irl, I am serious, it's too good 💕💖💗❤️.)

I'm glad you found the plush for Jeb, and you're completely right, Jeb would feel really conflicted about it. He's glad that you take comfort in something that looks almost exactly like him, because your choice in this particular plushie must mean that you like him more than the other grunts you know as well. It wouldn't make sense to choose this one if you didn't, hence the smugness about it where they (his rivals) are concerned.

However, you should also realize that Jeb can offer you far more in return than a plushie can in terms of comfort (and everything else). Yet, you give all of your affection to the thing. It doesn't make a lot of sense to him; he's right there if you want someone to cuddle with. (Is he just unapproachable? What motivated you to choose the plushie instead of him? What does he have to do to earn the same level of attention from you?)

I also think he's probably kind of exasperated with himself over it too, cause he's self-aware enough to realize that being jealous of a stuffed toy is a bit dumb. But it's different: you are involved (that's how he tries to justify his envy lol). Either way, he does blush when you show the plush a lot of affection - it's still a likeness of him that you're doing it to, even if he'd rather be in that position himself.
