knight!jacobus imp. about to win every tournament and your heart
open below for references :>
most of the references are from early 16th century, holy roman empire (though this is a jackatlas yugioh 5ds fanart so don't expect too much accuracy haha). click on the coloured words to see the museum link! :) i wanted to include them because they deserve attention!!! shoutout to lorenz helmschmied 💕
jack on the left side (for foot combat during a tournament) > breastplate (this one is especially cute, i think its supposed to emulate fabric), arm pieces, and finally the one leg in hose/ one in armour inspired by >
from "Livre des faits de Jacques de Lalaing" > click (there is no helmet because helmets are hard to draw :>)
The gold/silver tonlet from Freydal , though I have seen it in a few places.
jack on the right side (was supposed to be for jousting, turned out to be more of a festive/representative armour??) > the supersexy thigh high boots from here. I was debating giving him a codpiece but chickened out sorry... The coat over armour from few jousting forms, like for Bundrennen (mock joust of war with flying shields and without bevors). HERE (an example). The helmet is horrible let's not talk about it. ...
