i need to stop making characters but i'm forever stuck in act1+2 and have commitment issues anyway get a load of this guy :'] he's near sighted but lost his glasses when he was abducted and forgot to wear them most of the time anyway. he tried to think about home to calm down the first night in camp and accidentally gave himself nightmares all night instead. he has big beautiful brown eyes like a baby cow. i love him

Why didn’t Rhonda’s scars disappear with evolving like Liberty’s did?
I'll let Tyne explain that one for you (from chapter 7):
Smaller injuries and even some light scars do tend to heal after evolution, but not deeper ones.
Also fun fact - Liberty was actually never meant to have those scars in the first place. It was an impromptu design choice on my part based on the excitement of readers. Some folks thought Liberty would get scars after the first battle and thought they'd be cool. I didn't actually intend for her to have any, but I knew the chapter after that battle was a short one, so I figured "why not" for a chapter XD
In a way, the whole "scars heal" idea was also not meant to be the case, but I did have to have an explanation for Liberty's "scars" disappearing, and I figured it'd make sense for lesser wounds/scars to go away, but for bigger ones to remain.
Either way, it retroactively made the wedge between Liberty and Tyne deeper in the end, and it provides the potential to show which injuries are more "lasting" narratively - like Rhonda's scars - so I'm fine with the choice since it makes for better angst and drama haha

Tyne Bridge Sunset A painting commission of Newcastle’s Tyne Bridges viewed from near the Law Courts. The sharp diagonal bursts of sunlight contrast the wonderful curve of the Tyne Bridge. #tyne #tynebridge #tynebridges #quayside #newcastlequayside #watercolour #watercolourpainting #sunsetpainting (at Alan Reed Art) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cnq_oiEILWg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
