You literally got a Kimmunicator! Like hidden stuff would appear only when you had your Kimmunicator and stuff at the right spot. It was so cool!

FNM Legacy @Demospel - w34 & 39

I decided to sleeve Standstill for the last 2 legacy FNM I attended. Although the list changed slightly the idea of the deck is still the same. With the printing of Currency converter, the cycling package has become really strong.

In general, the games go to time and I'm not a very patient player.

W34

I tried a 2 Urza's saga build with a Burning Wish tutor package in the sideboard. The idea is to have access to necessary cards in the good matchups.

I missplayed the card a lot as I thought I had to play the card the same turn so I did not manage to exploit the full potential of it.

I found Urza's saga not the best card. I has a big target on it's head, doesn't help your colored spells and the constructs aren't that big. I prefer relying on the sharks and other cards in the deck for the win.

0-2: 4cc

1-1: Fish

0-2: D&T

1-2: Esper control

I do not remember the games well but in general I found myself behind in every game. It was difficult to find the removal when I needed it and I got a lot of lands in hand and very little standstill action. In the esper control matchup, Hymn got me hard.

In general I found I had to many uncolored sources and decided to upgrade the list for the next fnm.

W39

I faced a lot of creature decks and I decided to forgo the sorcery tutor package for a more classic list with a fun Humility in the main and a Narset+Emrakul package. I removed most of the uncolored sources (Field of the Dead, 1 Urza's saga and the Wasteland). In general I found the list more to my liking but still had a tough time in my games.

1-1: Fish

0-2: Delver

0-2: Deadguy ale

2-0: Crabvine

Fish

Same as previous FNM. I managed to drag the game long and handle the threats but sometimes the damage justs piles up and with island walk, it's difficult to keep the board clear at all times.

Delver

I was really happy to play this matchup but it did really not last long. I kept a sketchy game 1 hand wich was closed in 4 turns. Game 2, I managed to keep the board somewhat clear but stumbled a little mid game at which point I took 3 bolts to the face for lethal.

Deadguy ale

I lost really fast to Tourach although my opponent didn't play that many. There is just not much I can do against that creature. In game 2, humility kept in somewhat in check but he landed a lily that accrued him advantage while I was generating 1/1s each turn vs his 3/3 Tourach.

Crabvine

Targeted removal handled the early treats and humility was clutch in asserting my opponents creatures didn't get out of hand. I believe my opponent stumbled a little bit in his dredging but all in all once humility was in play I just had to get my engine going and finish the game
