On February 13, 2024, Ferrari revealed the SF-24 and had its shakedown at Fiorano.
As it has been the case with most of the car launches this year, there was no fan event or livestream. Instead, there was an approximately 2-minute video that revealed the car, followed by articles that had quotes from drivers (Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz) and the team principal (Fred Vasseur), and a shakedown at Fiorano. Despite that, Tifosi did gather outside of Maranello and Fiorano while decked out in rosso corsa.

The SF-24 is its usual red color with an addition of white and yellow lines. Unlike some cars this season, the Ferrari is heavily painted like the VCARB car.
On this day in 1995, the Contract Recognition Board decided that Mika Salo was under contract with Tyrrell and would not be driving for Pacific Team Lotus.
Salo had driven for Lotus in 1994, but the team had collapsed by the end of the season so he signed with Tyrrell after impressing them in testing. Lotus tried to block the move, due to the impending merger of Pacific Racing and Lotus (that would only join them in name, no technology or staff would go to Pacific).
The CRB discussed this for days before announcing on February 13th that the Lotus team Salo was originally contracted with was not the same Lotus team that would be joining Pacific Racing in 1995. Therefore, his contract with Tyrrell stood and he would be contracted to them.

Daly went out of the race in his Tyrrell in a more spectacular fashion than he had done at Monaco earlier in the season. As he braked for the Tarzan corner to start lap 61 the left front brake disc shattered and tore one of the calipers from its mounting; the errant caliper flew out radially and punched a hole in the alloy wheel rim and went into the tyre. With no front brakes and a flat tyre the Tyrrell ploughed off across the sand, the wheel and hub assembly broke off, the left front corner dug into the sand and the car spun upwards to an incredible height and crashed down on top of the tyre barrier, fortunately the right way up. A rather shaken Irishman was helped out, with a slight cut on his leg and lots of bruises, justifiably wondering what had happened.
