A brief overview:

Daniela “Dani” Del Toro is the cousin of Ava Ayala and the younger sister of Angela Del Toro. She is very close with her cousin; in fact, Dani most of the time wishes that Ava was her sister instead of Angela.

The two sisters have a very tense relationship (mostly from Dani’s end), which started around the time of their parents’ death. Angela didn’t step up to help take care of her (she was in the middle of her FBI training, and wasn’t equipped to take care of a young girl). Hence, Dani moved in with Ava and her parents and started resenting Angela.

A little while later, Ava’s father was arrested for a crime he didn’t commit, and before he could be proved of his innocence, he was murdered in prison. Ava was devastated as they were incredibly close. A few weeks after the funeral, Dani was helping Ava find things that belonged to her dad she could bring down to her room (actually they were snooping). They find a trunk that contained some of his things, and that is where they find three amulets with a letter addressed to Ava from her father, explaining what the amulets were and that he was the superhero, White Tiger.

It didn’t take much for Ava to decide to don the mantle, and Dani refused to let her cousin do this alone. Without her sister’s knowledge, she stole some FBI equipment from her apartment and became Ava’s “gal in the chair”.

Tony becomes involved later on, but more as a “silent” partner, while Peter doesn’t find out about them until later on in Homecoming. Dani has a HUGE crush on Peter, which has her panicking every day, and Ava is a gay mess for MJ (it’s beautiful).

Dani’s incredibly smart; she LOVES studying, and her favorite subject is science. She’s also a very good snooper, and wants to go into investigative journalism in college. Her favorite color’s blue, she can’t live without coffee, and she’s a Scorpio.

OMG, I HAVEN’T TALKED ABOUT MY DAUGHTER IN FOREVER! Thank you sm Alexandra (although, I forgot to change her last name on her Pinterest board, so she’s really Daniela “Dani” Del Toro).

1. Their berserk button: Dani DESPISES liars; it was a liar who put her uncle in jail and essentially killed him, and she vows that whenever she finds out who took him away from her and Ava will feel her wrath

2. Why their name was chosen: Dani’s parents were fairly religious (but not overtly so), and they liked when names referenced God in some way. Daniela means “God is my judge”, and it’s typically used in Spanish-speaking countries, so the two of them were hooked

3. Their favorite 2020s song: traitor by Olivia Rodrigo

4. Their biggest fear: That she’ll turn out to be exactly like her big sister, Angela

5. One turn-on of theirs: Talking nerdy

6. Their go-to sleepover activities: Dani loves putting on fun, comfortable pajamas before settling in to put on avocado face masks, eat a bunch of junk food, and watch comedy movies like Anchorman or Napoleon Dynamite

7. What candle they’d get at Bath & Body Works: Girl is a HOE for the Vanilla Bean candles, it’s as simple as you can get

8. A moment where they reached their breaking point: It was after the incident on the boat where Ava was trying to help Peter and saw that Angela was on there, along with the rest of her FBI team. Angela came home after that, found Dani at her little “gal in the chair” setup and just started screaming at her. Asking her what was she thinking, did she have any common sense, and how their parents would be so disappointed in her. It was that little comment about their parents that caused Dani to lose it and start screaming back at her sister, saying that she had no right saying that to her as she had no idea what Dani has been going through since they lost them

9. Whether they’re organized or slobby: Dani is smack dab in the middle; she calls herself an “organized messy”

10. Their favorite feature about themselves: Her skin (she’s super proud because she takes damn good care of it)
