post row hc that zoya doesn’t rule forever…she kinda sticks around and protects ravka tho. like post nikolai she just can’t stay in os alta it reminds her too much of him (cries in zoyalai) so she retires to a cave as dragon and becomes a legend “once upon a time the dragon behind the hill was a beautiful woman who ruled ravka” sO lily their oldest who obv had an interest in politics all along become queen and eventually makes ravka a democracy but still wins every election xoxo

honestly tho zoya and nikolai def wld pass off the king/queen/whatevrr position to their kids they knwo ravka needs to move on at some point so they do what they think is best to help their country move forward.
