New Test Muse

So I recently became aware of the “lost Sparrow,” Carla Hargreeves. She was a member of the Sparrow Academy from the comics that Sparrow Ben replaced. I kinda get why they evened it out a bit, but now that I know of her existence I wish we could’ve seen her somehow. Continuing my habit of taking underdeveloped side characters and making them a headcanon based muse, I decided I’m gonna try my hand at her!

Note, I’m super behind on the comics so if anyone knows of anything I’m doing wrong in my portrayal of her, PLEASE TELL ME!!

Apparently at one point in the comics, Viktor got paralyzed, and she was able to heal him. This shows that she either has healing or reality warping powers.

I’m gonna go with reality warping because not only do I already have OCs with healing powers, but I think it’d be fun to have a TUA character whose powers can parallel Allison’s. She even seems to have a trigger phrase!!

My faceclaim of her is gonna be Denée Benton

The vibe Carla gives me is that she has this outward appearance of being very kind and soft, but with a dark and manipulative side. She thinks she’s doing the right thing though and just sees it as a necessary evil. I think she’d have a good heart but is just misguided

Magnolia Academy Crest

I finally figured out how to make a crest for the Magnolia Academy in the same style as the Umbrella and Sparrow ones! Far from perfect but I’m pretty proud.

Here’s what each symbol means:

Magnolia Branch: The Academy name

Knot: Family loyalty

Apple: Generosity, happiness, peace and salvation

Bear: Healing, personal health, strength, and bravery. Also a nod to Grace’s “mama bear” attitude toward her kids

The motto, "florere quocumque tempore," means "bloom at any time"

Ochako heaved a sigh. Finally she was done with homework! Closing her notebook, the middle school girl stretched her arms and flexed her fingers before going to the kitchen. It was then that the slowly forming smile faltered for a moment.

That's right! It was once again a really busy day for them. Them coming home late was happening so often by now that Ochako should've long since gotten used to it. But sometimes, she still thought as if things had been like the way they were back all those years ago. They were working so hard and Ochako wanted to help them have an easier life. And she knew she had to be a hero to do that. Though, she wasn't sure to which school she'd apply yet.

Her hand reached out for the handle of the fridge before the door rang. Who could this be? The school girl made her way towards the door and immediately brightened up when seeing who it was. "Uncle Hisashi!" she beamed. "It's been awhile! Ah, please come in!" she said politely and stepped aside before gesturing to the small couch in their small living room.

"My parents aren't home yet but I'll let them know you visited. Uh, do you want something to drink?" she offered. It was always nice when Hisashi came over.

Did he bring her another present this time? He did it quite often, especially when she was younger.

The old gal was feeling rather sentimental this morning, and she couldn't exactly put her finger on the reason why. Not that she wanted to; her rough fingers already far to entranced by the soft black and green fabric bolts lain on the table before her. They seemed to be her new guests favorite colors, from what she could tell, and if she was going to be part of her, Big Moll, and Graham's strange little family well, she'd need some proper clothes now wouldn't she?

Her thoughts were interrupted by the flinging of the door. Speak of the devil: in waddled Big Moll, hoisting a basket of laces and trims into a chair, with her guest, Little Molly, toddling behind with a jar of buttons in her hands.

" Let's see then: I've five fabrics, three soft two sturdy, an' we've got a few patterns to try... Capt'n all we really need now are measurements. "

Jess is only half listening, focused instead on tossing the three year old girl high in the air and getting her to laugh.

" What do ya say, me little garden snail, " she cooced in her softest, happiest voice.

" Ready to sew ya some garb? "
