Happy Shay Patrick's Day! 🍀

I've been working on trying new art styles for more detailed drawings to try to challenge myself and I love drawing the different Assassin's Creed characters and I'm still really proud with how Shay turned out as he's probably my favorite character 😍

And even though bar crawls/hopping wasn't really a thing until the 1980s, you cannot tell me that Shay and Gist wouldn't plan a tavern crawl 🤣

Assassins Creed - Juhani Otso Berg (sketch) + small fan-rant on subject of Assassins Creed.

Small attempt to try hand on Berg in case I might go try to doodle that dream of mine. After my dream I had posted about last time, I did re-read some of those AC comics and while my 2023 resolution was not to be negative, where it can be avoided, then I have to admit I am not biggest fan of the style or character redesigns of those comics. Those are not bad artists, who did the Templar comics, but some how they were hard to follow - style wise. Characters look either too alike, or too generic. I am also more used to European graphic novels, more than US styled comic books, maybe that has its impact too? I like more detailed art and above all consistency (so i'd recognize characters between panels, which isn't always case with AC Templar comics). Anyway, one thing I noticed that they redesigned Berg for comics and later used same redesign in AC:Odyssey, where mister Berg made a show up on funny Egyptian mythos inspired armor remake with no animal head helmet. And now he had become also bald. They went from typically Scandinavian blonde-guy look to more ... not that. Although one comic - test - redesigns of Berg was very Adam Jensen alike. That made me laugh. And then looking for some online references for Berg, I run across a blog that demanded more modern day parts and 3rd person playable character for those in AC games and I am like total opposite. I would like them to remove modern day parts completely or make them optional campaigns. I disliked every modern day part in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. And Valhalla was only game where modern day was short enough for me to suffer till end of that. I never completed Origins nor Odyssey because I really disliked playing modern day and I kind of eventually stopped logging to game, when I was facing modern day sequence I had no mood on given moment... yet again as well in Valhalla i did 0 of the bonus events because Eivor was changed to modern day character during those. So... less modern day campaigns in AC games, not more. ... even when I like Berg as my favorite modern day character.

Assassins Creed : Rogue - Shay Cormac 1st doodle I did after I stopped coughing my lungs onto my pillow. I do hope worse is done and I can look into future again. One of the medicine I got assigned by my doctor contained morphine and after weeks of lack of any coherent sleep, it gave me a nice, very coherent and colorful dream (Warning! Opioids are highly addictive and should never be used without direct medical supervision). One of those dream sequences was about Otso Berg using Templar's alien tech to clone Shay and bring him to modern days and then they altered the whole AC modern plot from ACO (both of them ACOs) to Valhalla as dual sniper team. I even imagined how this Shay vol 2 practiced shooting modern weapons and Templar order was mad at Otso for using tech for someone so irrelevant. When Shay got clone-resurrected, Otso Berg asked him, "Do you know who you are... ?" And Shay gets faint memory of him jumping on an attack from higher vantage point, and after he murmurs, "Sshh... Shay, I think it is Shay? ... Maybe? I do not know." Part of me thinks I should draw the whole dream. I like mister Berg :) Hope the year has taken more positive start for you and everything is going well for you!
