I don't know uf this counts as ghosting but here goes. 😶‍🌫️

I had a friend group of real smart wise and creative folks, very professional and know everything about the world. We were friends for a few years until I hauled ass to therapy for my ADHD, and realized that I was not being treated as an equal in this group. I'm the only one disabled both ways and it takes me longer to create so my output is nowhere near as high as them, maybe that was a reason. I didn't ask.

What happened is the 2 leaders of this group had insisted that I join, that we'd have so much fun together. Then I ended up being the only one who was talking to them, they never started a conversation on their own since January 2023! My fanarts would go unnoticed, they'd ignore if I sent them news about shit like KOSA, they had their private jokes even. When we were chatting together they'd often ignore or shrug to my comments which felt weird too. I felt like a kid they were being forced to babysit sometimes but they were having a party when I was in another room.

I didn't think they were the socially anxious types at all, in public they're always talking big about good communication and how everyone else sucks at friendship. Naturally I was feeling unwelcome, then the therapist showed me proof of this shit hampering my mental health and job too. It seemed like the most peaceful way out would be to ghost them before softblocking, right?

Wrong, I didn't talk to any of them for a month, then softblocked 5 out of 6 people. The last one was closer to me so I was hesitant, but then she finally decided to send me a text after months asking why I was quitting the group. I tried to not get angry and told her it wasn't the right place or time for me. She said okay and if she could help she would. That is when I accidentally said that maybe treating a friend like you do want them in your life would have helped a few months ago. I said this partially because we have a favourite unpopular ship and these folks often assume someone has switched sides if they aren't actively talking about that ship, privately shading them too.

Anyways the last girl then said Excuse me? Do you not understand how busy we are? Sorry we couldn't cheer for you always but it's not like you were barred from talking to us? You didn't think we could have issues, or that we didn't want to bother you? You couldn't think beyond yourself?

She was still typing when I blocked her. I feel bad and I feel angry. Next therapy session isn't until next month so yeah

As always thinking lots abt uf but still on a little bit of a swap kick so I wanted to add a little more context for what I'd mentioned in the Stretch post abt his relationship w/ Blue

So, as per my usual baseline, the royal scientist made Sans first, and then Papyrus. Almost exactly the same. Sans came out well (alive), but unfortunately very frail with slightly unstable magic. Instead of pushing it too much (and what leads to how unswapped Sanses typically gaining the judgement ability), that focus shifted gears to Papyrus, as the corrections made "in utero" (very early days of test tube life) proved sufficient, providing a much more stable and sturdy test subject.

Hence, those experiments were then performed on Papyrus, while a much slower and more thought out approach was taken with Sans. Both became very healthy as they grew, gaining tremendous control over their magic and Papyrus seemingly following in his brother's footsteps of being an absolute powerhouse.

At the time, and even after they left the labs, Blue wasn't fully aware of the extent of experiments done on Stretch. Similar to classic Sans, Blue was incredibly smart from an early age, and took it upon himself to be his brother's caretaker and teacher after [REDACTED], but being a couple of homeless kids didn't exactly make that super easy in the beginning.

Still, with the help of a few kind strangers turned new friends, they slowly got back on their feet...and of course, that was when Stretch began presenting and complaining of strange and worrying symptoms.

Blue and Stretch were always very close from an early age, very similar to the Tale brothers. The prime difference was that Blue had significantly more energy and drive than Sans, which made him a better role model and caretaker to Stretch, and so Stretch never felt that pressure to grow up faster to be the caretaker of his brother the way Rus and Edge did.

So when things changed, and Stretch became more dependent on Blue rather than less, like most other kids going into teendom, even though Blue never really outwardly faltered and did his best to help Stretch through everything, there was a crack in the foundation.

Blue, being a caretaker, teacher, and older brother (along with the standard trait of tending towards secrecy), had that pressure to always be more okay than he actually felt. He had to remain strong for Papyrus, doubly so after he got sick. He couldn't slow down or show weakness or do anything that might make Stretch feel like a burden or a tax on him.

Especially not after Stretch had tried explaining symptoms of the judging ability, and the obvious toll that was starting to take on his mental health. Blue was really all Stretch had, and as Stretch's HP slowly ticked away with every downswing, and never ticked back up, he was terrified of how increasingly susceptible his brother was to Falling Down.

I need to clarify and emphasize that Blue was only around 13-15 when this all started, and 17-20 at its peak. He'd been the primary parent figure to his 5 year younger brother since around the time he was 10, so Blue's entirely life pretty much revolved around taking care of Stretch for his entire childhood. It stands to reason the thought of him Falling being beyond Blue's control was one of his biggest nightmares, because even though others didn't alienate him the way they did Stretch, Stretch was the only person who he really felt a strong connection to, especially after everything they went through together as kids.

They knew things about each other they probably couldn't ever tell anyone else, and Blue had been Stretch's only real family since the day he was "born". Watching Stretch decline over his teen years was a special form a torture that he couldn't ever let Stretch know he was going through. He couldn't put that on him.

That didn't stop Stretch from being able to tell though. Brotherly intuition, knowing each other so well, and of course, the judge, the worst his health became, the more stressed Blue became, and the deeper that sinking pit in Stretch's soul sunk knowing he was the cause of it all.

That's why I'd mentioned Blue's joining the guard being the last straw. He joined when he was around 21, because it paid better than the most of the other meager jobs he’d been spreading himself way too thin to work keeping them afloat, which meant more time to take care of Papyrus.

The thought of his incredibly non-confrontational brother forcing himself into a position where he might have to kill capture a human, deal with rowdy drunks stumbling out of Muffet's at all hours, as well as regularly spar with the captain sent Stretch into a very intense guilt and resentment spiral.

Over the years, the more Blue worried the more Stretch tried to hide from him, but now this tipped the scales and Stretch became determined to do whatever it took to become less useless.

(Another aside, Toriel did not know how young Papyrus was when she offered him the Judge position, as the brothers routinely lied about their ages since they'd had to take care of themselves from such a young age. She suspects they're younger than they say certainly, but she didn't realize he was only 15 ish at the time).

The more Stretch pushed himself, the more practice he got, the better he was at lying and keeping up appearances. And now Blue's own schtick was biting him on the tailbone because even though he worried frequently that Stretch was pushing himself too hard (especially after learning he'd accepted the job from Toriel to act as the Judge), all he could do was try his best to be supportive and encouraging, lest Stretch realize just how stressed out and exhausted he really was all the time.

So, basically, both brothers know the other isn't okay, but they won't talk about it ever because Blue is stubborn as hell and Stretch learned from the best. And by that point, Stretch was becoming a young adult, he could certainly make decisions for himself, right?

Just like the vast majority of my skelebros, they locked themselves into this broken carousel dynamic of always interlocking, never actually meeting, and continuously dancing around the gaping hole in the middle of the room because they both know, if one falls in, the other with dive to catch him, and they may both very well be damned if they take that chance. (They're dumb but also this is what happens when incredibly smart children are forced to raise themselves. They have no idea how to function healthily, only to the best of their ability #sigh #childhoodtraumamoment)

Oh, and one more thing. I would like to add that part of the reason Stretch is so hard on himself is because, back during training at the labs, he was constantly compared to Blue, who exceeded at everything. He was scolded and reprimanded for falling short, and it was rarely ever accounted for that he was five years younger than Blue. This made Stretch feel inferior and frequently doubt his own ability, and gave Blue a strong resentment of [REDACTED], along with a fierce protective streak of Stretch.

Unfortunately the years of trying to unteach Stretch those mindsets were mostly undone by the damage the judge and health issues did (they just proved him right, he really was just a useless failure...)

I've actually done both Sci and Lust already, and you can click on their names to go to the original posts if you're curious about them ^^ and I’m glad you guys seem to be enjoying these smooch-ability rating things!

Alrighty, after some thought and consideration, I’d say Geno gets a smooch-ability rating of 9. He’s still pretty safe, but if you surprise him, he wouldn’t be too happy about it. Smooches could also get a little gross, with his constant mouth bleeding and all, but if you wanted to overlook that and go in for a smooch anyway, be my guest

1) How dangerous is Geno’s mouth? In and of itself, not very. His teeth are flat, as opposed to being sharp or jagged, meaning there’s less risk of your lips being snagged or cut on them. 2 points for having safe chompers. I’d say the fact that he’s glitched could result in a sting or a zap (like it might with Error) upon smooching him, but he doesn’t seem to be nearly as glitched as Error does. In comparison, he’s still pretty solid

2) Would he bite, and is he aggressive? I’m inclined to believe that Geno may possibly be a biter; the chance of it happening is small, but still a bit more noticeable than it’d be with Sans Classic, for example. As for his aggression, I’d say he’s a little bit more moody and temperamental than his original UT counterpart (likely due to a mix of trauma, possible resentment toward certain individuals, him being from a genocide timeline, and his whole thing with Determination), but not as moody and temperamental as someone like UF Papyrus or Error. He knows how to keep himself in line and relaxed, and the only chance of that self control slipping would probably be if something or someone happened to set him off or trigger him. Since he’s relatively tame but still carries a slight chance of lashing out, I’d say he gets 1 point for this area

3) Are there any health hazards to the smoocher? Quite possibly. While he doesn’t carry around a weapon regularly that could cause accidental injury, he is very adept with magic. We know he has no qualms against using magic when necessary, so if he somehow felt threatened, he could use magic and sort of act on impulse to defend himself. Beyond that, blood constantly drips from his mouth and he has that big gash across his chest area. Blood, no matter what race or species it’s from, could very well be a biohazard. Taking that into consideration and the fact that kissing someone and getting their blood all over you is uh… pretty gross, I’m gonna have to give him 0 points

4) Does he have a sympathetic backstory? He went through all the same stuff as Sans Classic (raising his brother, working multiple odd jobs to financially support both of them, caring for Frisk/the player, being the only one to know about the resets, and being the one to watch judgement hall), which already gets him a small amount of sympathy on its own. That’s not all he ends up having to suffer through, though. In a horrifying turn of events, the player/Frisk decides to go on a murderous rampage and kills every monster they come across, which would’ve been a big betrayal to him. He repeatedly has to experience the death of everyone he’s loved and cared about every time they reset, then out of a desire to stop them for good, he starts experimenting with Determination (from what I remember reading). My memory of the events of Aftertale are a bit fuzzy since it’s been a while since I’ve read the comic, but through a series of events, I know he somehow gets trapped in the save screen and is unable to leave. The game goes on without him, spawning in a new Sans, and he’s just. Doomed to forever be stuck and unable to leave or communicate with anyone. While I believe Aftertale does give him a neutral or happy ending after a while, the fact that he went through so many tragic events back to back and probably has an insane amount of trauma from all of it gains him a full 2 points for sympathy

5) Does Geno deserve a smooch? After everything he’s done and been through, and all horrifying things he’s been forced to endure, yeah, I’d say he’s pretty deserving of a smooch. 2 more points for him

6) Is he cute or cool? I’m not sure if I’d call him cutesy, because when the pixels over his bad eye vanish, we’re left with this disfigured, melted half of his head (some depictions of him have a melted head, others just have the melted socket) and a socket that’s beyond repair. Which, if you were another skeleton seeing that, that on its own would probably be nightmare inducing. In terms of coolness though, I’d say he could be passing; he’s got this very laidback and chill personality, he doesn’t take shit from anyone, he’s incredibly strong and skilled with magic despite the condition that his body and soul are in, and he’s a fighter. He’s got a lot of trauma and obvious issues that need to be worked out, sure, but overall, I’d say it’s pretty cool that he’s willing to keep fighting, again, despite the shape his body are soul themselves are in because of the things he’s gone through. His design is simple, but it’s effective at conveying what he went through, from the blood on his slippers, the gash on his chest, him having pixels over one eye, and him wearing the scarf of his deceased brother, he’s unique, and pretty easily identifiable. 2 points for coolness

In total, Geno gets a rating of 9. If you absolutely needed to kiss him, you could, but you might end up covered in his blood, which isn’t exactly ideal. Since he’s a bit standoffish, he might not be too thrilled about a surprise smooch, but I can’t see him being the type to cause serious injury over it. At worst, he’d probably get super intimidating and tell you never to do that ever again

My first Feligami fic, written and edited in a six-hour-long fever dream. Probably the darkest thing I will ever write, but because it’s me, you know it has a happy ending.

T Letters and Top Surgery in NE Florida

i see a lot of posts and hear from a lot of trans friends about how hard it was to get letters for T or surgery and i'm so angry for them and grateful that i was somehow lucky enough to find TWO providers who didn't make me jump through flaming hoops to get the medical care i needed desperately.

i don't know if either one is still accepting new patients/doing transgender care anymore, but:

if you need a T letter in Jacksonville, FL, try Matt Borer. when i saw him, he didn't accept insurance, but worked on a sliding scale and was very affordable for me, a poor college student at the time. Matt required two visits before writing a letter, and seemed like he would be accommodating of non-binary patients as well (I thought I was FTM at the time)

if you're looking for top surgery, Bruce Mast in Gainesville, FL, with UF Health, did mine, which you can see here, at 6 years post-op. When I went to him 6 years ago, he did not require a letter, but that may have changed since then. I do not know if he is still doing trans top surgery. In addition to not requiring a letter at the time, his clinic allowed me to set up a payment plan as long as my insurance covered part of the surgery. I ended up paying $50 a month for maybe 2 years?

I do have a couple of friends who were turned away because Dr. Mast said they were too overweight to operate on. I also do not know what his stance on non-binary patients is because at the time I thought I was straight-up FTM, so I never asked about non-binary patients. So while I did have a decent experience with him, your mileage may vary drastically.

but he’s almost valid. almost

his dad was the margrave of etlia, in charge of maintaining etlia’s border because their territory (lucinier) was on the border with gleerium

he wasn’t an Absent Father but he was a busy father that usually had finn babysat by a knight most of the time. teaching him how to fight was a team effort and he fell in love with the sword at a pretty young age

@ufvivian​ is his baby sister! (not actually baby, she’s only two years younger than him)

as a kid and teenager finn was kinda a punkass but in a way that was more endearing than annoying to most people. pretty charming and social and very eager to take over for his dad

not in a powerhungry way but in a “omg i am so excited being margrave seems so cool dad let me help” way but his dad never really humored him and told him to focus on growing up well

until his dad got sick

he somehow managed to transition finn into performing his duties slowly even as his health declined more and more

finn was margrave lucinier in everything but official title when gleerium launched their full scale invasion that ultimately led to etlia falling to them

his dad died right before gleerium reached and conquered dromare meaning finn was Actually margrave for like two days before king andreas stripped everyone in etlia of their power

as the one in charge of etlia’s border at the time he thinks the fall of etlia is his fault entirely

to make matters worse there are rumors that he actually poisoned his father because he wanted his power

finn was so humiliated and felt like such a failure, instead of rallying his people and trying to defy gleerium’s rule or at the very least encourage them in a time of extreme grief, he simply: ran away

he did not tell a single soul. he didn’t leave his sister a note, he managed to escape his loyal bodyguard without notice, literally not a word to anyone

he went about as far as he could get from gleerium and went to podakko, where he figured he could be whoever he wanted to be, even though he didn’t know who he wanted to be. not margrave lucinier, that’s for sure.

he’s been in podakko now for about a year and doesn’t talk about his past; he prefers to just go by finn.

he spends most of his time drinking and getting in fights now. he mostly fights for money in arena battles, but sometimes he will fight for free just for fun.

getting beat up feels thrilling, apparently. probably has something to do with him feeling like he deserves punishment or something. he needs therapy (too bad.)

he’s also a mercenary that takes just about any job, so he travels around the continent a lot on jobs, which means he can run into all sorts of people.

despite all of this he’s honestly not a bad guy. he has a really kind heart that he now has under lock and key because he’s experienced so much pain in the past year. sometimes he’s sarcastic and acts full of himself but a lot of times he’s sincere and just Sad. he tries to still be charming tho. we’ll see how he does with that as i write him LMAO

i always imagined he has lots of healer friends since he gets beat up so much. thanks to warp pads he can probably get to u no matter where u are!

also worth noting that he hates gleerium. he has some wistful plan in his head about going back to gleerium and killing everyone responsible for the fall of etlia but he hasn’t worked out how to do it yet

he’s stupid but thankfully not stupid enough to assassinate anyone without some kind of plan. not yet anyway

this is all i can think of for now, which i’m sure is plenty SDSDGSDG thank u for reading and i’m very excited to plot with everyone <3

EDIT: he was also a student at lotus academy until his dad started getting sick, so he probably bailed about two years ago, just around when he started adult classes. he wasn’t mad about it, especially because as he got older the gleerium kids really started pissing him off

So, just curious but, if you take away plot rules and stuff, realistically speaking, then how easily could Ultra’s destroy monsters then?

It sort of depends which tier of Ultras you're talking about

Lower tiered New Gen like Rosso, Blu and Grigio would obviously have the toughest time and probably have the most realistic fights for their level as seen from their series

Mid level New Gen (which I also classify most of the Heisei Ultras in this category) could easily one shot a standard kaiju (like Gomora) with a single finisher

Stronger ones like Ginga (maybe Victory?), Orb and Zero would easily clear swathes of kaiju on the same level as Gomora, basically like what we saw in the first Zero Movie

Next, fusion level Ultras would most likely see an exponential increase in power level

And this scaling also increases exponentially the more components are fused together

And after an unknown (but HUGE) power gap, next are the Ultra Brother level ultras

(Minus obviously higher tiered fusions like Super Taro, Mebius Infinity and Reiga)

On this level, I won't even say kaijus, but these ultras can even clear multiple New Gen Level Ultras and even fusions with not even their finisher, but a mere ranged attack

We see this clearly demonstrated with Toregia literally one shotting Ruebe, UF, and Grigio Regina with a single attack, literally completely dispersing the Tri Squad with a standard ranged attack, literally not even hesitating to challenge the entire New Gen (up till Taiga), whom were all in their final and fused forms back then (which includes Gruebe and GV)

Taro was also able to do this easily as demonstrated when he was under the control of Grimude, without holding back as much now, his energy sparks from his horns were able to completely one shot and disperse Rosso and Blu (at max health) and also he basically steamrolled over Dark Lugiel, whom was stronger than Ginga (strongest New Gen). And only after Taro gave Ginga his energy that he was able to win as well.

Aluprof at the Passivhaus Conference

Organised by the UK’s Passivhaus Trust, the 2023 UK Passivhaus Conference was a hybrid event held at McEwan Hall on The University of Edinburgh campus on the 16th & 17th of October. Over the two day conference over 600 speakers and delegates explored the adaptability of Passivhaus, its implementation and benefits over a diverse range and scale of projects around the UK, plus its future applicability for all homes throughout Scotland.

Aluprof were delighted, once again, to support the event as a sponsor taking the lead when it comes to the specification of high thermal performance windows, doors and facade systems used in Passivhaus construction. The event was attended by Paul Sherman, Aluprof Sales Consultant and Neil Garner, Aluprof Major Projects Consultant.

‘Scotland leads the way’ was the theme for the Passivhaus Conference, the biggest held in the UK to date. There was a great deal of interest at the event following Scotland. Parliament's decision to adopt a version of the standard next year. Keynote speaker Patrick Harvie MSP, ‘Scottish Government Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights’, gave an update on how the ‘Scottish equivalent to the Passivhaus standard’ policy is developing. Leading the way, Scotland is the first nation to adopt the Passivhaus standard, or its equivalent, previous adoption by Brussels, Vancouver, Massachusetts, and Heidelberg have only been adopted on a municipality level.

The Passivhaus standard is not new to Scotland, it was recognised some time ago that upfront investment in the standard across new construction was beneficial in the long term with significant benefits to health and the reduction of carbon emissions. The conference showcased a wide range of new and completed projects which included schools and social housing across the region.

Sarah Lewis, Research & Policy Director, Passivhaus Trust, commented on the growth of school projects adopting the standard, “An innovative funding mechanism from the Scottish Futures Trust has encouraged the building of schools to the Passivhaus standard in Scotland. Projects receiving funding need to meet a clean energy target. Funding may reduced based on any performance gap post-completion. The Passivhaus standard effectively eliminates the performance gap, de-risking the securing of funding. It has been impressive how swiftly the industry, supply chain, and clients have adjusted to delivering to the Passivhaus standard in the education sector.”

Aluprof’s curtain wall system MB-TT50 further enhances the abilities of the MB-SR50N Hi+ by allowing a greater thickness of glass to be accommodated. The system uses polyethylene profiles to offer high levels of insulation allowing the system to reach a class leading Uf from 0.5 W/(m2K). The high level of thermal insulation is coupled with an improved weather resistance of up to 1,350 Pa for airtightness and up to 1,800 for watertightness.

Papa Jesus, Mama Mary, To all the Saints and Angels,

Thank you for everything, thank you for waking me up this morning, thank you for allowing me to be with my kids, to see them grow and be happy as always… Thank you for becoming my strength when times gets rough… Thank you for providing to all of us everyday with everything we need… thank you for keeping us all shield from harm or people that can hurt us in any possible ways… thank you for the guidance, hope, faith, and never ending strength… thank you for the food and the roof over our heads… thank you for all the blessings, big or small, unexpected or not…

I pray, hope and wish that my remaining prenatal and fetal monitoring appointment before I give birth this coming 18th of December through CSection, will go well, no preeclampsia for the 3rd time, no magnesium or blood transfusion on iv, no blood clots, no staying at the hospital for more than 48-96 hours, no complications for my baby and I… fast recovery for both of us, hopefully all my lab works will be good as well… no shocking news, just a positive last pregnancy journey that is full of love, peace and good health as much as possible… I don’t want to stay at the hospital for more than 2-4 days, I want to be home with my other babies and hubby; I feel more comfortable and knows that my body will heal much faster… My anxieties gets the worst of me, it raises my blood pressure high… I overthink a lot when I am far away from other babies, I feel guilty when I am from them… I am begging all of you to grant me my wish, I am not asking for anything else because all of you have truly blessed me over the years majority of everything I’ve ask for, this is my only Christmas wish is to be home with my kids after 48 hours of giving birth… I know that I am not a religious person but I do believe in all of you… I do believe that all of you is listening to me spiritually, mentally and emotionally… I am not asking you all to believe me but I am begging to all of you for this last pregnancy journey of mine to be a positive one, replacing the semi traumatic two experiences back in 2017 & 2022 with this journey to be calm and peaceful… no bad experience and stress free… I know I’ve been slacking off for many days, I know I haven’t been doing my part, being active and staying active… I just want to enjoy this pregnancy journey for the last time… I just don’t want my baby to be skinny as well… I know I’ve made promises that ALOT of times I failed on keeping them, but I am just asking to understand me and grant me this Christmas wish….
