honestly if asgard 'discovered' jotunheim back in the day and took it over I feel like there would be some doomed arctic expedition level screw ups before they learned how to be competent in the environment. like loosing entire expeditions to arrogance, improper preparations, refusing to ask the locals anything and then accusing them of eating their teams when they loose them. just. utter disaster made by colonial arrogance. racism. general calamity. asgard has mountains but even if they get snow in the winters it seems a big difference between that and a planet made entirely of rock and ice. it is going to take some trial and error

anti-intellectualism is fucking destroying this generation. i’m so sick of people acting like any piece of media more than fifty years old is boring. they think that “smart things” and “fun things” are completely different and can never overlap. all that shit like “pride and prejudice and zombies” and “romeo and juliet told through emojis” is created on the assumption that the source material was “boring”. and i hate that.

also i think i prefer "desisted" to "desister". desisting is more or less a one and done deal. "desister" sounds like i'm constantly struggling with it and am having some weird on and off fling with acting like someone i'm not.
also not a fan of detrans/desisted people saying they're "presenting" as "female" or "ftmtf" when the former isn't a matter of presentation and the latter isn't a thing. for me desisting was giving up on the crazy notion that i have to play along with gender at all. when it's all a made up fantasy to prop up male humans above women and girls.
when i'm barefaced and braless i'm not "not presenting female" and i'm not "masculine" either. i am female. that will be a part of me. forever. and i'm happy with that. and even if i like being called a boyfriend (usually hot goth tomboyfriend/tomboy girlfriend) or being called a guy in a funsy way, it's nothing more than that. because i'm literally just some woman. playing pretend. trying to have a little fun in life.
i really wish everyone female would stop bowing to gender in some way. whether it's the one woman caked in makeup, or another shorthaired woman wearing a snapback and listing wacky pronouns in her dating bio. or the detransitioned/ing woman saying she's "presenting female" and forcing herself into femininity when it doesn't have anything to do with being female in the first place.
gender is nothing. it is a message to women to shut up and eliminate our female individuality. why are we pretending it's fun to "explore gender" and "play with gender". it's literally just misogyny/sex-based oppression.
sidenote: and why is this all on the HER app. why am i seeing all this shit there when it's supposed to be the damn female hookup app. i mean i haven't been on there in years but i remember what it was like on there. and then a man got the account banned on twitter because he couldn't stop being a rape-advocating TIM, so that's lovely.

We don't discuss orpheus and kith'rak voss enough.
They were roommates. They were doomed.
The nerve of bg3 fans calling bloodweave old man yaoi when these two are RIGHT. HERE.
On the real, were i not so sleep deprived, i have a great many thoughts and pained feelings about them, their bond, the potential of their story, the way they speak to each other. I'd like to dive deeply into it. I haven't the faintest if anything I've written already carries a vague sense of coherency. Another day, perhaps.
For now. Someone commiserate with me in regards to these gith men, their common goal, the bond they share, and gods know how long they've known each other. They speak as friends. Was voss there the day orpheus was chained? Was voss there and forced to turn traitor? Only to spend eons awaiting his chance to make things right? Was voss there to watch vlaakith subjugate orpheus, knowing he had no power over either? Hopelessly watching? Horrified by what he could not prevent? Eons he's spent seeking ways to free orpheus. Eons. Hiding, lying, mapping his plans in the skies, waiting. How many millennia until he's free again?
Will he remember me?
Will he know i fought for him?
Will he know i would have stopped her had i the power?
Will he know the heights of heresy I've arranged from the depths of our bond?

The way non Americans think we don’t understand sarcasm or dry humor 😭 ????
Europeans especially are not ready to hear that they are America in a different font. "At least we don't have shootings!" No, you have knife crime. People who want to kill will find a way to kill, it's that simple. "We don't have racism!" MOST of you don't have racism based on skin complexion, but you most assuredly do still have racism and if you listened to the minorities in your countries instead of pretending it does not exist for the sake of "being better than America," you would know that. "But we have so much culture! Americans have nothing!" Okay, have fun going to Louisiana, for example, and assimilating as if it's nothing. Truly, I would pay cash money to watch a European person try to speak Creole effortlessly.
It's so irritating because, yes, America has its flaws, and I hate being put in a position where I have to defend this country especially when we are actively complicit in the slaughter in Gaza. But at the same time, this is my country. This is my home. It's vast, it's diverse, and I think it's funny how Americans are expected to know everything about other countries in order to justify our intelligence whereas Europeans are allowed to know nothing because it's "just America." It wouldn't bother me so much if the whole thing didn't absolutely reek of racism. America is a melting pot and most of our cultures started with minority communities. So when you say America doesn't have culture, you're actually minimizing the enormous contributions to our societies by people who otherwise would not have had a voice. But anyways...

Idk if this is accurate or something but I feel like I need to express it.
I am extremely conflicted with the ruling from the ICJ, though I am glad it was in favour of South Africa it is upsetting that there wasn't immediate action, I don't know how much they can enforce on that front but it is shameful to think that the Palestinian people have the time to wait for incremental change when they are being bombed and gunned everyday and that their food and aid is blocked by Israel. It is maddening to see and the only hope I have from this ruling is that more countries will put Israel on trial, that it causes other countries like South Africa to pressure the ICJ to make an immediate change... but unfortunately, only time will tell, and I am so tired of it

This last race hurts so much cause Lance didn't fuck it up himself (a poorly judged move on Kevin aside - nothing bad came of it) the q2 exit was because of damage, comparing his lap telemetry to Nando's they were on par with less than a tenth in it until the debris damaged his floor.
Then during the race he was on for a good start, had made up a couple places only to get whacked from behind by Hulk and had to nurse a brake issue for the rest of the race. Not that anyone picked up on it cause he was doing such a stellar job until the rain came and well you need your brakes to work in the rain, and it certainly didn't help that Monaco is so hilly, his car became a pinball down into the hairpin.
Basically it's just annoying that people will look at the result and think 'lmao dumb pay driver' when that was not the case at all :/

If I had a nickel for every time a major streaming service cancelled a beloved book-to-tv show adaptation (of my favorite books!) after adapting just the first two books then I would have two nickels
I'm just really tired of this happening guys. I would like the less well-known books to win for once
