"seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? you could've died!" your boyfriend stood tall over your sitting figure.
"i'm sorry," you whimpered almost pathetically. tears were beginning to fill your eyes and as hard as you tried, you couldn't keep them in.
you'd decided that getting drunk at a house party and jumping off of the balcony into the pool was a good idea.
spoiler alert, it was not.
however, you didn't find out because right before you stumbled off of the railing, your boyfriend grabbed you by your arm and pulled you away from what would've been your ultimate demise. he took you home and here you are.
he was silent until he heard your sniffling. "a-are you crying?" he said, a small ounce of regret surrounding his voice.
"yes," you figured there was no point in lying.
he sighed. "shit, i didn't mean to make you cry. i'm sorry," he knelt down to be level with you. he hated when you cried.
he used his hand to pick up your head which hung low.
you looked anywhere but his face. "hey, look at me," he said, giving you those caring eyes that you could never look away from.
with your eyes on his, he moved his thumb and wiped your tears with it. "i love you, and i just... i never want to lose you." his voice was the one cracking now.
you knew about liv. you knew what happened and how big of a toll it took on chad. it was hard for him to love people now. and he felt that if he did, he had to protect them with his life.
"c'mon, let's go clean you up," he said, putting your hands in his, and taking you to your bedroom.
you sat on the edge of the foot of the bed, whilst he knelt to remove your shoes. he removed the remainder of your clothes and left shortly to put on a bath for you.
he guided you to the restroom and helped you into the tub.
chad turned to leave but you spoke up. "wait," his head was quickly on a swivel. "yeah?"
"could you... stay.. with me?" you looked up at him. he smiled and nodded.
"yeah, of course." he pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
even at your guys' worst, you know you'll still be ok.
