i never understood when people would give their fav characters sexual trauma until i got sexual trauma'd myself. now im like PUT THAT MAN THROUGH THE HORRORS!! except like. i still dont like graphic assault scenes i kind of just like the after it all where they get support from their loved ones and heal from it... like noooo dont write three pages of them getting horribly abused in a deeply upsetting and voyeuristic way, skip to the part where they cry into someones shoulder, get their hair petted softly, and then go to therapy and learn coping mechanisms. i really enjoy like fics where characters navigate physical intimacy while dealing with this kind of past trauma... idk it like. gives me hope that having that kind of intimacy with someone hasnt been completely ruined for me because of what i went through. i know i shouldnt base too much of my hopes for the future off of fanfiction or whatever but its. idk. its just nice to read about someone like me getting the comfort i crave but dont know how to get for myself. anyways rant over LOL i need to go the fuck to sleep
