Oh dude dude recently I've been reading more than I ever have before#Like I'm currently listening to The Beginning After The End while reading The Trash of the Count's Family on the side#Addicted to tcf btw I'm like legit so obsessed#And on top of that I just bought a physical book that I ACTUALLY INTEND TO READ#Plus I tried Achilles Song but got so disgusted at... You know. That part. That I dropped it but I'm planning on giving it another shot#Also the assassin's apprentice I think it's called? Idk why I started reading that one but it's so boring lmao#I sunk more than 14 hours into it hoping PRAYING it got better but no. No it just kept going at the breakneck speed of 3 mph#Snap snap uhhh what's the other one#Oh omfg percy jackson. I found a kickass audiobook on YouTube but the guy dropped it after the first book#So I continued onto the next book with the ''official'' reader#But the guy. I'm. Look OK I get that most of this is done in one take but if you screw up a voice THAT BADLY---#He gave the antagonist (idk his name lol he was Annabeth's crush I think) a SURFER DUDE VOICE. No I'm not exaggerating#I'm lenient with voices like I get it but this dude was sticking around for a long time#and the reader decided SURFER DUDE VOICE was the hill he was gonna die on#STRANGLES HIM#Back to the first book I mentioned- the reader for that one is really really good. I'm wildly impressed with his range#But since there are just so many characters-especially old man characters- he ran out of Guy Voices pretty quick#So now he's really scraping the bottom of the barrel with these really ragged old man voices that sound SO PAINFUL TO USE#and he's assigned it to so many characters he's using it for at least one in any given scenario#HOW IS HIS THROAT ALIVE?!#YOU GOOD BRO?#Anyways that my chatter for the month. See you soon haha

My favorite obscure site is Channel Surfer Club. I actually don't know if that site is THAT obscure, but I visit it from time to time. Also, did you know the Neopets website is still alive after all these years? It outlived Club Penguin
I didn't know about Channel Surfer Club, but it's definitely a cool concept, kinda like if YouTube didn't have an algorithm.
I did know about Neopets living. When I was a kid, I wasn't allowed online, so it's not as nostalgic to me as it is to most Gen Z people. I am very glad it's still around nonetheless.

You Spin Me Right Round
One
The first time Steve and Eddie kiss is also the first time Steve kisses Robin and Eddie kisses Argyle. It’s just the older members of the party and a few random acquaintances that tag along, and there ain’t shit to do but get high and drunk and play party games. Later into the night, when everyone is inebriated enough to feel comfortable around each other and they have managed to lose both beer pong balls, Vicki suddenly perks up, chest a blotchy bright red under her button up. “We should play spin the bottle,” she announces, feigning bravery with a hopeful glance in Robin’s direction.
“Oh fuck, seriously?” complains Steve, who is already doing a mental inventory of the people there and how terrible it would be to kiss all of them. Well, most of them, at least.
“What? You afraid someone’s gonna realize that Big Bad Sex God Harrington isn’t actually all he’s cracked up to be?” teases Eddie, pushing his shoulder into Steve’s with a huge smile on his face.
“No- that’s not- I just…the ratio is off!” Steve sputters, going hot under the collar. He knows that at least one of the girls is a lesbian and the other is his ex girlfriend and the OTHER is the girl his best friend has a crush on. And as he has this thought, his eyes shift to Robin who is wringing her hands in her lap, not looking anyone in the eye. Oh. Oh. This is her chance. To kiss Vickie without any one thinking too much about it. To see if Vickie is as into her as she is. To see if there are sparks, without any pressure. Because it’s just a drunken game.
“We’re actually gonna motor,” says Jeff, getting up off the floor and pointing to the two Hellfire members behind him. “As much as I would LOVE to stay and lock lips with Munson, some of us have actual jobs in the morning. And Gareth is 1 beer away from ralphing on Harrington’s front lawn.” Gareth just shrugs, knowing he is notorious for over imbibing.
The three Hellfire boys make their way out the door, leaving just the usual suspects and, of course, Vicki.
“See? Almost even now, Harrington. Pass me that empty Seagram’s,” says Eddie, oblivious to the fact that this is, by all accounts, a horrible idea.
“You go first if you’re so intent on planting one on all of us, Eds,” Steve replies, determined to call the older man’s bluff.
“Gladly.” And with that, Eddie spins the empty bottle and watches smugly as it settles on Argyle.
“Oh, come to Daddy, Surfer Boy!” Eddie exclaims, shooting his eyes from the bottle up to Argyle, who had already leaned over the bottle towards Eddie expectantly.
“Dude. I’m expecting greatness. Lay it on me, bro!” Argyle says so seriously it was startling and puckers his lips in the most cartoonish way possible. Eddie grabs his face with both hands and lays one quick and dramatic kiss directly to the other boy’s lips, complete with a loud “Mwah!” Sound effect added. Everyone chuckled at the display, all relaxing slightly due to the fact that the first victims of the game were the two must unserious people of the group, who had no problem breaking the ice.
The game continues, with Jonathan landing on Vickie. He decides to chivalrously go for a kiss on the hand, as he previously declared his loyalty to Nancy. Nancy lands on Robin and kisses her softly on the cheek, sighting the same reason as Jonathan. Argyle goes next and ends up landing on Jonathan. He kisses the photographer lightly on his forehead and pets his hair, which left Jonathan furrowing his brow, but laughing nonetheless. Vickie goes next. Robin holds her breath as the bottle spins and spins and spins for what feels like a lifetime until it lands on…Robin. The girls lock eyes immediately and Vickie subconsciously ducks her head and pushes a piece of hair behind her ear. They turn to each other and just kiss. No preamble or bullshit explanations or disclaimers. They just kiss softly and sweetly for a few moments before breaking away. Neither girl says anything, but Robin is noticeably redder in the face and Vickie seems to lean into her just slightly for the rest of the night.
Next is Robin’s turn and although she prays to whatever high power she can think of for the bottle to land on Vicki again, it lands on Steve. “Ugh man, no! Gross!” Robin whines. “Dems da rules, sugar plum,” Eddie smirks and wiggles his eyebrows.
“Fuck. Fine! But Capital P, guys. I’m so serious,” she warns everyone before turning to Steve. “Don’t worry. I’ll do my best not to woo you with my masculine charms,” Steve says before kissing her so quickly that if anyone blinked they would have missed it.
“Ew,” she states simply when it’s over and wipes off her lips dramatically, like a petulant child wiping away a kiss from their mother. Steve silently takes the bottle and spins it, just begging that it lands on anyone except his ex girlfriend. Anyone! Anyone at all even…Eddie. It stops on Eddie and Steve looks at him, like a big brown eyed idiot in headlights, all that previous confidence gone. Eddie clears his throat, shuffles almost uncomfortably. “So, you gonna show me what Hawkins’s Most Eligible has to offer?” he asks, trying so hard to look like he’s not sweating bullets.
And Steve is just drunk enough that he’s got the balls to shut Eddie up the way he’s been thinking about for months, since he was called “big boy” in that stupid trailer when the world was ending. Suddenly, Steve is all siren-eyes and sex appeal, letting his voice drop just a little when he almost whispers “Get ready, big boy,” and grabs Eddie by the back of the neck. Steve tilts Eddie up just enough and takes his sweet time leaning in and ghosting over Eddie’s lips, just enough to make him shiver a little, but not enough for anyone to notice. They share each others air for a fraction of a second before Steve leans in the rest of the way and kisses Eddie, really kisses him, the way he’s been doing to girls for years. And Eddie kisses back, just enough that somewhere in the back of the rockers head, red flags and sirens are going off. But he doesn’t notice, too lost in the feeling of Steve on him to register anything else. They separate after what feels like entirely too long for a kiss during spin the bottle, and wait with bated breath. What for, they’re not sure. But no one says anything and the air feels like it’ll shatter is if they do. And then the moment is gone, because the doorbell rings and Argyle jumps up, chanting “Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!” And suddenly they’re all too hungry to focus on that moment that felt just a little too charged. The rest of the night, Eddie and Steve take turns sneaking glances at each other, like they’re really noticing each other for the first time. But come the morning, everyone is too hazy on the night before to read into it. They all remember the nights activities, but no one thinks to question the tension, chalking it up to being cross faded. Except Eddie suddenly pays a lot more attention to Steve.
A/N: Fun fact! Wine coolers came out in the early 80s and have only gotten better tasting and more hangover inducing since!

WAIT ACTUALLY if Wind is a surfer guy then is Tetra the beach girl who spends her summers tanning in a bikini?
or maybe she’s like the daughter of some rich guy who lives in Beverly Hills equivalent but she doesn’t like it but she has a giant yacht with which she spends most of her time on the water and one day she accidentally almost runs over Wind-
That doesn’t seem quite like Tetra to me, though the nearly running Wind over part sounds about right lol
Seems to me she’d be like, the best surfer on the beach, while Wind is the newbie but has a lot of potential. He mostly just knows the slang for some reason. And Tetra teaches him to be the Best Surfer Ever but then enter in the Evil real estate developer (Ganondorf) or whatever who wants to turn their mostly quiet beach into a crummy resort which is actually an evil ocean-animal-killing factory or something, but Wind and Tetra decide to stop him but he’ll go to any length to get his Fancy Resort so he sets out to get rid of the meddling kids and uhhh movie plot stuff the town bands together and Wind challenges Ganondorf to a surf-off and Ganondorf gets a wipeout and the beach is saved! The End

What are your favorite games and/or favorite types of games?
OH ok so this may come as a surprise considering I've got a commercial break where a brain should be but I absolutely love puzzle games/mystery games. my current favorite by far right now is The Arcana but that's more of a visual novel- as for more traditional games I also love The Cave and Monument Valley. some other ones that are more fast paced are uhhh tetris, subway surfers, and mario kart <- I'm like stupidly good at those. OH I also love roblox my favorite games are natural disaster survival which I play with my sister and broken bones simulator I think it's called

Exes and Woahs
Author's Note/Description: This is just a silly little idea I had where Brezziana gets her heart broken by some ass... some ass Jack knows more than he would like to;) (And yes the Exes name is Valentino because of that one Years And Years song it's one of my favorites and it's currently stuck in my head oki)
Currently very sick so if this fic seems like a fever dream it probably was anyway-
Jack was perfectly cozy and content on the coach, reading a book with the early evening light coming from the window making him feel warm inside and out. He had been trading between his friends' Danceverses, and Brezziana had insisted he stay with her for a little. Dancity was busy and constantly full of excitement, but in the evening all of that died down and you could feel peace and tranquility rest on the Danceverse. It was soothing to Jack's soul.
Jack's reading was interrupted when he heard a disturbance outside. Looking out the window, he could see Brezziana talking with an unknown figure in a very animated way. Talking wasn't the best way to put it. Screaming obscenities was better.
He couldn't see who the other person was, but Brezziana took one last swing at the guy before stocking inside of the house and slamming the door. Jack could not make out a single word she was saying as she stared at the door with watery eyes. Finally she took a shake breath and slammed her back on the door, taking shaky breaths and descending into messy tears as she lowered herself to the door floor.
Jack stared at her, dumbfounded for a moment. He had to say something.
"Uhhh... Brezz, you ok?"
Brezziana nearly jumped out of her skin with a startled scream. She saw Jack on the couch and took a deep breath.
"Christ Jack, forgot you were there."
"You uh... you wanna talk about it?"
"No." Brezziana stared into the distance, gripping her arm so hard she was sure to lose blood circulation. She shook her head, tears starting to run freely down her cheeks. "Yes."
Jack had no time to respond before the Dancer threw herself onto the coach and started to sob unto his shoulder. He started to pat her back in what he hoped was a soothing manner. Whenever Brezziana hugged him, it was because she wanted to support him and let him know he was one of them. That's how she had always been. If the conversation somehow turned to Mother, she was quick to change it. If he ever seemed drained or overstimulated, she was quick to make sure he had peace and quiet and time to rest. She had even gotten weighted blankets and soothing teas and herbs in her house in preparation for Jack's visit. Jack had always wanted to pay her back for her kindness, but never knew how. He guessed this was one way to show his appreciation, he just was never great at being the shoulder to cry on. He hoped he was doing ok.
"5 months!!!" Brezziana cried into his shoulder. "5 months of me pouring everything into that man and what does he do?? He cheats on me!!! With one surfer girl from Sun Horizon, one carnival act from Carnivalium, and that stupid blonde reporter guy from Winterhaven!!! 3 different people!!! He's nothing but a-but a-" She hid her face back into Jack's shoulder and started cussing the guy out in Spanish. Or at least, that's what Jack assumed she was saying from the sound of her tone.
"God, the guy sounds like a douche." Nice one Jack. Gotta put that on your resume. Performer, Danceverse hero, and as of recently, worst therapist in all of Dancity.
Brezziana was silent for a little before giving a dejected sniffle. "Total douche." She sat up and stared daggers at the ground with her red eyes. "Valentino Rivera, total douchebag."
Jack raised an eyebrow at that name. Had he heard that name correctly? He knew a Valentino Rivera. Better yet, he had dated a Valentino Rivera.
When he was about 17 Jack had decided to try to date online. It was the most rebellious thing he could do without his mom finding out. As long as he was careful enough.
Turns out, there was a really nice guy named Valentino that was from Eternyx. Jack used to sneak out as much as he could to secluded areas with Valentino. Valentino of course didn't know who his mom was, but that was ok. They used to talk about their future together, how they would run away from Eternyx and start their life again in a better Danceverse. Until 3 months later when Valentino ghosted Jack and moved to Dancity. Apparently Jack wasn't part of that equation after all.
Brezziana shook her head, scrubbing at her eyes. "The worst part about this is I owe Mihaly so much money."
Jack leaned back, a confident smirk on his face. "So what I'm hearing is that betting on the outcome of your shitty relationships is a quick and easy way to earn money, no?"
Brezziana nudged him in the shoulder. "No! Not you too!"
Jack stood up and dusted himself off before offering a hand to Brezziana. "Come on. I'm sure Wanderlust can find the guy's house in no time, if your down to egg it."
Brezziana accepted his hand with her usual mischievous smile. "Now that sounds like a plan."

I haven't played any KH, I don't know who Xigbar is. Tell me about him. Why do you like him? What is he like in the games? Any headcanons? I feel like instead of googling about him I want to know about him from you. You seem obsessed, I like that.
it seems as though you have come to the right place seeing as IIIII am the rightful head of XIgbar research!
to put it bluntly, I love xigbar because hes an insufferable silly jackass that delivers his lines with a SoCal surfer accent- its hard NOT to laugh at his lines- he gets on the nerves of and comedically taunts not only the game protagonists but ALSO his coworkers/co-cultists as well... did i mention that he technically is involves with two and a half cults? wild stuff-
not only is he silly funny goofy in his words, but also how he fights- you see- xigbar is able to warp he very fabric of space so he uses this to his advantage by SHOOTING AT YOU SUSPENDED UPSIDEDOWN IN THE AIR- IF THATS NOT THE SILLIEST THING IDK WHAT IS!
only to add to the wildness of his character, hes technically an ancient parasitic being that has been possessing people for CENTURIES to fulfill a role that he was basically molded to since he was a child because of a cult leader's grand schemes and hes basically not allowed to die until his role is complete- and while he seems very chill with the fact that hes possessing people at first, there is a scene of him before he possessed his first host being absolutely HORRIFIED about this- even arguing with the leader that this is too many sacrifices- so you know this man has some emotional scarring- forcing him to be more and more apathetic for people over the years with each new body he takes and everyone he knows eventually dying. hes the PERFECT contender for angst!
also some other fact about him that i think are funny-
-his actual name is Luxu- which is based on the latin word for Lust.
-in the manga he is canonically horny. he enjoys reading swimsuit magazines and has a mug with (covered) boobs on it
-he has a habit of possessing people whose names start with BR- the only reason why hes XIgbar now i because that body's original name was Braig, but when he became a nobody (basically a being without a heart/soul) the letters of the name got scrambled and got an X added
-he has FANGS and pointy ears!!!
uhhh- one of my favorite little headcanons for him is that he enjoys 70s and 80s dad rock and has a stomach of steal lmaooo

I actually have Pinterest mood boards for every major OC across all games, so I was pretty prepared for this. I'll take every opportunity to talk about Pip ofc, and especially to show off parts of his board. (Btw I highly recommend making one of you don't, even tho the aids are all visual it's a nice way to anchor back into the vibes of a specific muse).
Pips aesthetic is a blend of a few things: vaguely Middle Eastern with some Asian influence (I imagine his fighting style is akin to muy Thai). he's also inspired by an amalgamation of a stereotypical surfer and someone who'd live in a trailer park in a rural part of the American SW (IFYKYK). I HC that he's super flexible, could easily do some advanced yoga poses, and probably does some yoga-esque training to increase his strength and flexibility. Uhhh a lot of his personality reminds me of a cocky UFC fighter, hence Connor McGregor.

My weekly roundup CW 13
Well, I watch a lot during the week, as you all might know. I really want to write a little bit more about the stuff I watch, but time and work kind of get in my creative way. So I try to write down my thoughts after watching stuff to create a little weekly ranking in relation to the previous week on my, most of the times, quiet sundays (and because I love lists and this is a good excuse for me to create a new OneNote journal!).
The Promis is on hiatus, so it didn't make it on this week's list.
→ 1. Our Dating Sim (Ep 7+8 / The Final)
The final! It is so perfect. The whole story just feels realistic! How Wan makes his decision at the end is understandable and that they then offer him to develop a webseries out of the game, perfect. Ki Tae's fear of loss broke my heart. I can understand him so well. What I especially liked were the little things. How Ki Tae and Wan hold hands in the office, how Wan hugs Ki Tae a little tighter when he realizes how much his leaving in the past hurt Ki Tae. The whole birthday present with the snippets of Wan's life where he missed or thought of Ki Tae. Uhhh, that gives me goosebumps and tears in my eyes right away. The last scene where Wan says goodbye to Ki Tae and gives him little pats on the butt. This normal tenderness that belongs to most relationships was just beautiful to watch. It all seemed very natural and that's why again this week's number one goes to Our Dating Sim. And if people haven't already, check out the BTS…highly recommended!
→ 2. Unintentional Love Story (Ep 5+6)
Okay…I think it's so ridiculous that some people really skip the show because there is a Dead Fish kiss. The chemistry between the two is just awesome! I didn't watch that scene just one time. Yes, I just close my eyes for a moment or look away during the kiss, but the whole build up to the kiss and up to the second is so worth the watch! It is just so good! I felt it tingle in my stomach. I love the story of the two mains and also the second couple. I'm excited about the series and I really wish more people would watch it, despite the not so nice kiss. Yes, it sucked, but it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the series. There were worse ones, but I probably didn't like the show that much either (All the liquors I'm looking at you).
↑ 3. A Shoulder To Cry On (Ep 5+6+7 / The Final)
Reading the comments on MDL, you can get really sad. It feels like every second person is upset that there wasn't a kiss and I'm sitting here, being glad that there was at least an "I like you". That's where they stayed true to the manhwa. Their love is a little different than others. They aren't big on romance, the bouquet of flowers at the end was really a lot. In general the weekend away was something special. And why not show this side of the romantic relationship? I think it's good that not everything always has to be so over-romanticized, but that relationships also sometimes start slowly, take their time until the characters feel comfortable with each other or just don't show that much affection. That doesn't mean they don't care for each other or love each other. It is so stupid to always demand a kiss. Not every relationship needs those and not every story needs them. I thought the series was great. Great chemistry and a cute story.
☼ 4. The Eighth Sense (Ep 1+2)
Ohhh such a good start. I love stories about surfers. I've been excited about the subject matter since "Shelter" (one of the best queer movies I've seen). The story starts with what I would say attraction/interest-at-first-sight and I like it so much. Also how the more introverted Ji Hyun comes out of his shell and wants to learn to surf to get closer to Jae Won, at least as a friend. I'm already looking forward to the heartbreak! It's going to hurt so good. If there's no happy ending, I'm starting a revolt. I really can recommend this series.
↑ 5. Jack o’Frost (Ep 6 / The Final)
All in all, the final was a bit unspectacular, but it fits the overall picture of the series. Not that it was bad or boring, but it was told at a steady pace and I like that. I think it's nice that Ritsu was able to remember everything at the end and give the relationship a second chance. Now the reason for forgiving Fumiya, that he hid from him they didn't meet each other for the first time at the cafe, I thought was a bit weak, but again sweet because he was able to give their shared history a different meaning. The way he forgot everything about Fumiya after his accident and can now remember everything about him has something very romantic and I think that this time they'll manage to communicate and make each other happy.
↑ 6. Bed Friend (Ep 7)
I wanted to hit them all! King, you stupid idiot! The man you love comes out of the boss's office visibly distraught and you can't think of anything better to do than accuse him of doing it on purpose? Your stupid jealousy comes at the shittiest time ever here! A slap for you! And Krit…you fucking asshole! I'm really uncomfortable watching him act. Not just the sexual assault, but the invasion of Uea's privacy when he showed up at his family's home. That's where it really shakes me. A kick in the nuts for you. And at the end, Uea's mom gets a load too. What a bitch! I hate her. It's good that Uea was finally able to stand up to her a bit. Hopefully he can cut off contact altogether. I big fat slap on her filthy mouth. I feel sorry for his poor sister too. What a crappy episode full of trauma and pain! Honestly, I'm so fascinated by how Uea continues to stand tall. I would have broken down. But he's a strong guy! Jade was the sweetheart in this episode. A little silly at times, but a true good friend.
↓ 7. Chains Of Heart (Ep 7)
Oh man. This show is killing me. Can't they finally kiss? What is this series waiting for? Something until the last episode? Looking at the previews, I don't even want to see the next episode…But back to this episode, where it felt like hardly anything happened. There was a stupid fight in an alley, sorry, but Hin really shouldn't fight…it looks way too posed. I don't like DeeDee. He is way too possessive of Ken for me. You two aren't dating and just because you are jealous doesn't mean Mr. Lue is a bad person. Yes, I'm still on his side. Poor little guy. Had to get drunk this week out of heartbreak. Ken was mean though…Well, they still ended up in bed together in the end! And the scene with the friends outside the door was indeed hilarious. I also think Din as Mr. Lue is trying to expose our one-eyed man and his illegal dealings, and the purchase of the wood is meant to be a trap. At least something I can take away from this episode as insight.
→ 8. A Boss And A Babe (Ep 5)
I don't know, I think Gun approaches the whole thing a bit too offensively. I really didn't like the kiss in the car. To see how confused and jealous Cher is, however, I find very sweet again. Yes, Gun has to bring out the big guns to show Cher that he likes him, but just because our boy just don't get what Gun is trying to tell him doesn't mean I have to like what he's doing. I continue to think it's good that Gun values Cher's opinion so much. I think he needs that kind of appreciation a lot, especially considering his past. Oh yeah, I think they're cute together.
→ 9. Tin Tem Jai (Ep 5)
And we took 45 steps back and the show is kind of annoying like before...Tin can't stop aksing Park to marry him and it gets to a point where it just annoys the crap out of me. But Park can't say a clear word so what do we do here? Just let him date the cute senior and Park sucking up on his jealousy. I feel there is no progress between those two.
→ 10. PastSenger (Ep 4)
I'm writing the recap on sunday and honestly, I don't remember what happened. All I remember is that they almost kissed, in Kiao's memory of their clash they kissed. There were so many filler scenes in it. I don't have to watch the friends eat for ten minutes without anything happening or talking. I didn't get the slave thing either. Why am I still watching it? I don't know. Now I have The Eighth Sense to watch on wednesdays and I'm so much more into it! And these stupid revenge plots…Oh man, you're in university and not in kindergarten anymore.

Aricka and Dori’s teen beach adventure- meant to be-!
Aricka was confused. One minute, she was on her way to talk to Steve Harrington- her favorite character from this move she was in-!- the next; she was falling into the arms of the other lead male of the movie- Billy Hargrove. The character Aricka Munson was supposed to fall for and help unite the bikers and surfers with-
Oh. No.
“Hi,” he says; helping her stand up. “I’m Billy. Billy Hargrove. Leader of the surfers.” He winks at her, but it didn’t really do anything for her.
“I, uh, hi,” she says, remembering her manners at least. “I’m Aricka Hopper.”
“A pretty name for a gorgeous chick,” he says. “Nice of you to drop in.”
“Um, sorry. I didn't see you.” She blushes, looks down at the ground. He tilts her chin up so she was looking back at those electric blue eyes.
“Now that you do, do you like what you see?” She squeaks and gently removed his hand from her chin.
“Sure. It was really nice to meet you- excuse me just a second-?” He nods and she runs over to Dori. “Dori, my best friend in the whole world, can I have a moment? A really quick, important moment.”
"Yeah, sure," they look back at Eddie, "Um... Eddie? It was really nice meeting you, but I've gotta help my friend with something," they start to turn away, but turn back for a second, "Bye." they give him a little wave as they start to walk with Aricka.
"Bye." He chuckles waving back.
"Come on," Dori says, guiding her friend to the exit, "We'll step out for a minute.” Once outside, she says, “"So, what's going on?"
Aricka takes a deep breath and glares at the water. “The mannequin with six rows of teeth just asked me out. Billy FREAKING Hargrove just asked me out because I TRIPPED on my dumb shoelaces and fell in his arms-.”
They stare at her, taking in everything she just said, "..... WHAT?!"
“Please tell me I didn’t change anything about the movie-?! I JUST wanted to talk to Steve. My shoe got untied and I didn’t see it until I was staring up into ocean blues instead of chocolate browns.”
"Okay. Okay, uhhh.... Hold on, let me think," Dori thinks back through the plot of the movie, "So, you said you ran into Billy and now he's got the hots for you. And, in the movie, Billy falls for Aricka MUNSON. So, that means..." their eyes widen in realization, "Oh... this is the exact opposite of what you wanted to hear, but you just caused a MAJOR change to the movie."
Aricka blanches. “I changed the movie-?!”
"You changed the movie!"
“Oh no. Oh no, no no no-!! No- can we fix this-?! Aricka Munson’s Billy’s EVERYTHING, we can’t ruin this-!”
"It's okay! Don't freak out," Dori tries to calm her down, "We can fix this... At least, I hope we can. We'd just have to get Billy to fall in love with the right Aricka. Which.... is probably gonna be REALLY difficult since he's convinced he's in love with you. But, I mean... we could probably do it."
“… meet Billy and me with Steve and Aricka Munson outside. We can fix this- hypothetically speaking.”

“Hi,” Aricka says; unable to believe she was talking to Billy- Aricka Munson should be doing this. Not her. She was basically being a homewrecker-!
Billy flashes her that boyish smile; and she couldn’t not admit that he had a cute smile. He just- wasn’t her type. She was into dorky brunette surfers. Not overconfident curly haired blue eyed ones. “Hi,” he says, strumming his guitar.
“Um, do you mind if I join you?” She asks, admiring the car he was leaning on- and he beckons her over.
“Of course not. I’d wanna join me, too.” So cute, in a 50s himbo style. “So, hey, I’ve never seen a chick quite like you.”
She winces; she hated being addressed as a chick or a babe. “Chick? Really? Hold on while I lay some eggs.”
He tilts his head in confusion. “Okay?”
She mentally face palms. “No, that was, um... Never mind. Thank you for the compliment. It’s nice.”
“Sure,” he says with a shrug. She notices the guitar and smiles; something they can talk about.
“So you play the guitar.”
“I know.” Ugh. Total, 1950s air-headed blonde surfer boy.
“No, no, I mean- are you good?”
He frowns in more confusion, “I feel a little tired but…” she cut him off,
“At playing the guitar?”
“Well, sure, when something inspires me.” He drops his voice suddenly, “If music be the food of love, play on”.
Her eyes light up, “Shakespeare-?”
“Huh? No, that was me. Sometimes I talk low for effect.”
“… well it works,” is all she could think to say.
“Thanks. I can do... High... Also, but chicks really dig low better,” and she had to hide a wince when he did his high voice.
“Yeah.”
“You know, I dig you, Aricka. You’re different than other girls around here. Can I write a song about you?”
“Uh, yes. What word rhymes with Aricka? Nothing. See? That’s a terrible song. Really, Tanner, you only like me because you, think that running into you was destiny, but... Not our destiny, your destiny, with someone that you’re meant to be with that isn’t me. See?” And then music begins to play and she sighs, “Oh, good. A song anyway.”
“I believe we all have a soul mate
The chance for a perfect duet…” Billy strums the guitar and looks her in the eyes, and she tries to match his emotion, but she had to pretend she was looking at Steve for it to even look natural,
“I believe in hopeless devotion
I just haven't found it yet
But in my mind I see
The chick, who is meant for me…” he dramatically tosses his guitar to the side and grabs her hand, dragging her off somewhere as he continues to sing,
“She'll be someone who is lovely
Someone wonderful and true…”
Meanwhile, with Dori, Eddie, Steve and Aricka, the latter girl was singing,
“The kind of boy who makes you smile
Even when you're feeling blue…”
Together though apart, Aricka Munson and Billy H sings,
“And I know, I know he/she's out there
Most definitely, oh yeah
Not a phony, or a fake
Sweeter than a chocolate shake
My "meant to be"
When it's meant to be
You go kinda crazy
Meant to be
You forget your own name
When it's meant to be
It's destiny callin'
And nothing ever will be the same!
Oh yeah!…”
Aricka stops in front of Billy, her hand on his chest as she sings out,
“You need a girl who's into music
To ride up high on Cupid's wings!”
Dori turns to Steve and adds, “Find that girl with perfect hair
Hello, Hollywood ending with strings-!”
Aricka and Dori sing about their respective love interests,
“Oh, I know, I know he's out there
Can't you see? Oh, yeah!
Maybe you've already met,
The one you'll never forget!
Your "meant to be"!
When it's meant to be!
The stars seem to glisten!
Meant to be!
All the clouds depart!
When it's meant to be!
That's destiny callin'!
And if you listen
You'll find your heart!”
The girls- Aricka H, Aricka M and Dori; all sing, thinking of the one they (thought they or actually did) love,
“Four eyes meet
And the meet is sweet
Could it lead to something more?”
Eddie; Steve and Billy echo them, thinking of their respective interests as well,
“What's the deal?
When the way you feel-?”
Dori and Aricka sing the last line; ripping the towel barrier away so Aricka M and Billy could see each other and Aricka and Steve could see each other-
“Oh!” Aricka M gasps, grabbing Steve’s hand and darting off.
“Gee..” Billy says as he grabs the other Aricka’s hand.
“Uh…?” Aricka manages before she’s dragged away.
“Plan B?” Dori wondered.
A dance break ensued; Steve and Aricka M together, Billy and Aricka H together, and to Dori’s delight, they were dancing with Eddie as they sang,
“When it's meant to be
You go kinda crazy
Meant to be
You forget your own name
When it's meant to be
It's destiny callin'
And nothing ever will be the same!”
The song ends and Aricka and Dori make their way back to each other. “… that didn’t go as well as I hoped…” Aricka says sheepishly.
“Don’t worry, we still have time to fix this. I’m gonna try and get invited to the surfer hang out , you get to the biker sleepover.”
“Okay. Deal.” And off they went on their separate ways.

Ok so
The Sun Geoff is from a silly little fanart AU where he's the sun, Bridgette's the moon, and Brody is a sunset
There's no real lore for it, I just use it for imaginary scenarios!
Figure skater Geoff is from one of my ice dancers/surfer dudes/tennis rivals swap AUs!
He's like a mix of jacques and josée's personalities but with more josée mixed in.
In that AU, he and brody take the place of the Ice Dancers, the ice dancers take the place of the tennis rivals, and the tennis rivals take the place of the surfer dudes! It's a neat little switcheroo AU
As for lab rat Geoff.... I won't reveal anything until I start making art for the Mutant Facility AU!

okay so um francis @by-thunder gave a brainworm with his tags abt a mamma mia monkees musical so. here's my ideas for
Monkee Mia (working title)
first of all this would have to be a fusion/crossover w some of the og mamma mia characters just bc there is Not enough recurring monkees characters to fill all the roles :')
SO
Micky as Donna -
i think he fits well as the wild character who was getting it on w all three of the others on some greek island . also because i love projecting wanted the story to make sense, micky is trans <3 i can't decide whether he was out when his kid was conceived and the Fathers knew, or if he's come out since and now its like surprise !!! that masc girl you got with 20 years ago is a guy now (and you still find him hot)
Mike as Sam -
basically mike is engaged and getting married too young to try n ignore the fact that he's gay, and obviously it's not going to be a very happy future for mike (or his fiance). and then he meets micky - so quick sidetrack here, i can't think of a way mike would get to greece? on his own? so either the whole story is actually just set in LA or cali wherever instead of greece OR micky gets w mike in california and then soon after goes to greece (this could work for the whole 'i came back 2 weeks later and you were gone' thing) - okay so yeah they have like a few weeks or aonth together? and they fall in love ofc, but then micky finds out about mike's fiance (phone call or letter or the classic finding a photo) and they fight and mike goes back (to texas? to his fiance anyways) and then yeah the whole 'i broke it off w my fiance and came back for you but you were already gone' thing - however that works out
Peter as Bill -
idk most of my reasoning here is that he's also a scandinavian hippy who would 100% just travel around in a boat if he could... he meets micky (if we're doing greece then they meet in greece and peter has a boat like bill does; if just cali then i think he's more of a roaming surfer) at like. the beach i guess, they have a fling for a couple noghts and then part amicably - i think peter's moving onto somewhere else, and they split as friends :)
Davy as Harry -
again my justification here is mainly that i can easily equate the characters - davy as a timid little queer-coded english guy isnt that hard to imagine lmao. anyways instead of how in the movie harry basically sleeps with donna to try n convince himself that ge's straight, this is davy having like. his first gay experience. i think if we do greece then they meet in greece bc davy's doing the whole english boy does the Med thing for like a gap year or whatever, and if we do cali then he's visiting the west coast from new england where he's doing broadway or uni or smth. either way they have like a one night stand, and davy afterwards somehow manages to briefly bump into peter - not knowing who he is of course but i think maybe pete helps him sort some stuff out (they probably meet in a bar or something)
uhhh in terms of the main storyline with the fathers showing up to the wedding, i'm just gonna leave sophie and skye as they are and have their same storyline lol .... that is not the focus here. obviously Sophie's dynamic w each of them will be different to the og dads:
i think mike is the one who teaches her some guitar and is all like omg... youre so quick to learn... and they have that cute little bond w him being a biiit awk over the whole 'micky's kid' thing but he gets over it eventually
peter teaches her about either the boat or surfing and they just have a super chill vibe.. he shows her some photos of him & mick in the hippy days (more later on time period setting)
davy & sophie go into hysterics over what a nutter micky was for just getting it on with this rando he found moping arnd the beach (and talk abt his awakening etc?) and they're besties from there i reckon
okay so about time period setting:
as much as the original mamma mia is iconic for being in like a timeless little greek town, i think it's important to have the time period when all of them met (and sophie was conceived) be the late 60s, bc well. thats when the show characters existed & were young. that doesnt mean it would be specifically set in the late 80s or whatever bc again - timeless greek island (unless we do the beach of course which . idk what would happen w that id just not refer to current events) but yeah . summer of love etc <3
if i did end up writing this i'd probably change sophie's character up a liiittle just to make her more matched with what micky's kid would be like, but probably not skye bc he's a bit 2D anyways (would def change the names but idk what to)
i'd keep tanya&rosie as micky's friends bc theyre honestly perfect as is, and would include them in flashbacks pre much the same as in mm:hwga (rosie would fancy peter etc)
me and my friend had the atrocious idea of calling their trio 'micky and the minnies' instead of donna and the dynamos, which i would definitely not do but i DO think they should still have their singing group bc !!!! micky can sing boy !!!!! and i love the idea of him doing the whole glam rock glitter thing for sophie's hen party <3
anyways yeah plot pretty much stays the same, sophie & sky end up travelling instead of getting married, i dont think mike would outright propose to micky (ambiguous setting is suddenly a bit questionable once you start thinking abt gay marriage/recognition of trans people etc) but they def get together in a more private moment that same day.. im not saying peter/rosie endgame if anything it's tanya/rosie endgame and peter/davy endgame even if both are ambiguous bc i believe thats how the og movie shoulda worked out anyways >:)
this is absolutely batshit wild all over the place. and i think i need to actually write this AU now.... but lmk if you guys have any further thoughts !!

Okay so my favorite oc is Kyo, a 17 years old borrower that tries to find a place to stay with his 7 years old sister Kyoko, since 5 years ago they were trapped to be sold as pets but they managed to scape when Kyo was 15 almost 16. Also Kyo hates humans because it was their fault that they can't go back home and see their parents again (they're alive; don't worry) and because when they still were on the pet shop, the shop boss killed his best friend (him and Kyo were 13 years old back then)
