Hey, so where is this interview about Bendis talking about Ultimate Spider-Woman and trans people? Do you remember where it was published?

It was a Word Balloon podcast. I used to go on long walks and listen to podcasts so I’ve heard all of his episodes but they all blend together, and he’s done dozens of them with each episode being hours long so I have no idea which it was. The closest I can narrow it down is that it happened before miles (and I think ultimatum) but after clone saga (obviously) so if you wanted you could see which episodes came out in that timeframe.

I don’t know that there’s a payoff for finding it because he didn’t really say anything about it except that he needed to do more research if he was going to continue with the character or pursue that angle. He was just responding to a question a fan wrote in — he used to do Q&As through his forum before twitter and reddit were a thing.

The thing that gets me about Miguel and Jess being mad at Miles for breaking Pavitr’s canon is that it’s kinda not really canon... The canon is stuff that is destined to happen in each world on their own, right? Well, Captain Singh wouldn’t have been in peril saving that little girl on his own that particular day. It only happened because Spot was there wrecking Alchemax. Spot who was made by Miles. It’s a whole chain effect that pretty much boils down to Captain Singh wouldn’t have died if Miles wasn’t there because it wouldn’t happen in the first place. So if he saves Captain Singh from a scenario he (inadvertently) created, is he really breaking the canon?

Whatever sickness I got it’s whooping my ass I have so little energy to do anything and my head is in turmoil. I did these the week before last week.

I wanted to say this before but I forgot, but I’m finally gaining confidence in linework and cel shading so I’m now writing a couple of scripts for some comic’s I’m planning to do in the future, a dc comics bat family one I was supposed to do months ago, and some Ganke and the Spiders scripts. Hopefully I get to finishing one of them by the end of the year. Might end up being the Ganke and the Spiders since I’m the furthest into one of them and pretty much finished another one.

Michael Austin of CBR.com stated, "Not only is the mainstream Jessica Drew incredibly cool, but her Ultimate universe counterpart is also an equally impressive character as well. This Jessica Drew is actually a female clone of Peter Parker. The character debuted during the Ultimate Marvel version of the Clone Saga. While the original Clone Saga is hotly debated as possibly one of the worst Spider-Man arcs of all time, the Ultimate universe counterpart was received much better, and it was thanks to great characters like the Ultimate Jessica Drew." Jamie Lovett of Comicbook.com asserted, "The other alterante universe clone that needs honorable mentioning here come's from Marvel's own Ultimate Universe. The ultimate universe Jessica Drew is a female clone of Peter Parker, kind of like how X-23 is a female clone of Wolverine, except that Jessica presents as approximately the same age as Peter. The Ultimate "Clone Saga" is a much better more cohesive story than the original "Clone Saga," and Ultimate Jessica Drew's introduction is part of that. Watching her and Peter Parker try to figure out exactly what's going on when they first meet is a brilliant moment. Jessica Drew eventually joined the Ultimates and took on the persona of the new Black Widow before the Ultimate Universe finally came to its Ultimate End. Weirdly enough, the female clone origin for Ultimate Spider-Woman makes more sense than the origin of the original Marvel Universe Spider-Woman, which had to do with her father saving her life by injecting her with experimental spider-blood, and has no direct connection to Peter Parker at all.
