Ok, so a bit of backstory before I ask the question: I’ve been redesigning all of Team MLV’s members’ Ultra forms for a while now, and I decided to redesign Ultraman Milave tonight. Milave is basically the mascot Ultra of Ultraman M/L/V for the same reason Ultraman Ruebe is in some ways the mascot Ultra of Ultraman R/B.

The idea I had for Milave’s redesign was to make him look roughly the same as the old design but with the texture/level of detail of Ultras like Ultraman Saga and Ultraman the Next (with a strong focus on the sort of detail found on Saga). However, because I was recording the process for a speed-art video, I couldn’t get the finest of the details in.

Either way, seeing as I recall seeing you say that Ultraman Saga was one of your favorite Ultra designs, I just had to ask these two questions:

—Taking into consideration my goal was to create a Saga-like design, what do you think the redesign of Milave would look like as a suit with the production value of any Ultra’s suit between the time of Mebius’s series and Ginga’s series?

——With regards to your answer to the previous question, on a scale of 1 to 30, where would you place the hypothetical suit based on Milave, and where would that be in comparison to Saga’s suit?

Now, seeing as you can’t really answer this qn without the redesign I made of Milave, I’ve sent you tonight’s redesign in DMs.

Tbh this looks less like a Type 1 pure fusion like Saga/GV/Gruebe and more of a Type 2 fusion like Orb/Geed/Z where components of each Ultra are incorporated into one ultra. So overall, it wouldn't really stand out imo

I thinking comparing this with Saga wouldn't really be fair either since as said, the fusion dosent even look like they're part of the same category (it's like comparing Orb and Geed fusions [trinity fusions] to Saga)

If you insist tho, it's probably around 10+/30-ish, Saga's color scheme flows extremely well with the mystic effect of falling apart due to its overwhelming power, while as said, yours just looks like a Type 2 fusion with Taiga as base

Not to mention that Saga was essentially TsuPro's attempt to go out with a bang and he was originally meant to be a fusion of Legend, Mebius Infinity, Zero and Dyna, so it was originally planned to be a ridiculous 11-way fusion and TsuPro expected to end the franchise itself with Saga, which is why they spent $30k on this one suit, which is also why you see a same 11-way fusion that is Reiga can't even be compared to Saga.

i know this season isn’t that well liked, it’s far from perfect, the power borrowing thing isn’t my fav gimmick (though they seem to be planning to keep doing it so haha oh well) etc etc..

i wonder what can the newgen shows be if they got 40+ episodes like the old shows! i mean, the orb season only covers one of so many planned chapters that never see the light of day! they’re all so ambitious, 20 something episodes are just not enough!! after their victory over the copyright stuff and building more budget, i hope tsuburaya can produce a more well polished, better planned, ultraman series!

Now that's neat. Well, it looks like TsuPro planned ahead and had two specific Robots as well as two specific non-Ultras to be part of the Ultra Medal Collection today. And it would also appear Ultraman Geed has his own Ultra Medal and Ultra Rise Medal Counterparts. They even had the New Generation Final Forms and everything. Now that's interesting... really interesting.

Hmmm.... since they don't have a name, I think for now I should call them; Ultra Super Medals. Yeah. Ultra Super Medals would work nicely for now till we get an official name from TsuPro.

Looking forward to see many more fusions and fusion finishers to come for either in the series or in UFFZ for Ultramen Z, Zero and Geed.

tregear, seeing this, laughs and asks what do they think theyre doing? how interesting.

uhhh big fight, nobodys talking much except for tregear but its mostly just typical toku villain nonsense

OK end of the fight greubes big pose in front of the explosion “did you see that? this is the real power of our family!”

alright postfight

toi gets beamed out and katsumi gives him the baseball that toi had given katsumi all that time ago, saying that he thinks that toi should hold onto it for now. toi reunites with his mom and apologizes to her

katsu’s narration starts up again “in the end, am i ultraman? or minato katsumi? theres no right answer to this question. so, i can only go forwards little by little and create an answer for myself. i’ll go forwards, with my dream”

riku’s departure. he apologizes for inconveniencing the minatos, pega thanks them for the gifts. mom invites them to drop by if theyre ever in the neighborhood again and dad says that he’ll treat them to something(?) nice to eat next time too. riku says alright, see you next time, then. theres a lot of talking over one another but i think that theyre figuring out how to do a four person handshake for next time which is. adorable. riku says he’ll practice it as well!

katsumi again. theres ont thing he forgot to mention. you know that shitty doodle he did in the beginning of the film? dad actually put it on a shirt and it got wildly popular. katsumi approaches dad, who apologizes for not getting katsumis permission first, but thats not what katsumis here for. hes here to tell dad that hes decided that he wants to properly study fashion design. dad tells katsumi that hes got a designer friend currently living in milan, and asks if katsumi would like to be their student. (ARE YOU FORREALS-) katsumi says that he wants to try.

“our story ends here. by my dreams, and yours, have only just begun. laugh heartily, cry loudly. feel both the joy and pains of being alive. that’s what it means to be human.” ;w;

AFTER CREDITS SCENE WITH TREGEAR “what? you’re still here? i’m a very busy person you know? well, i’ll be taking my leave now. see you around.”

I did feel disappointed for the CGI of Another Kuuga in Heisei Generations Forever and Gruebe in Ultraman R/B the movie. However, that because the CGI for Kamen Rider movies were usually had better quality than the TV series and Another Kuuga failed to fill that standard.

As for Gruebe, I expected practical effect, a man in a rubber suit.

CGI in tokusatsu was not bad.

CGI in some Wuxia dramas I watched on the other hand. They made me cringed and distracted me from enjoying the stories.

Another vs qn, this time between anyone from canon Ken to canon King and another of my 30+ OCs: Ultraman Constelas.

Particularly Constelas Beyond, which is easily the most powerful power-up form of any Ultra in my entire fan continuity. Btw, Constelas as a whole represents the light of all Ultras in my continuity’s Showa universe, and is as such extremely powerful.

Constelas Beyond’s powers (as well as base Constelas’s and another OC’s) are in DM.

So Shyuldir seems to essentially be at least on the level of the Ultra Brothers since iirc Ultraman's and Seven's durability and power was around a nuke level which if u consider the bombs detonated in Japan, was around 15-25 Kilotons as a lowball. But if u consider the largest bomb detonated, the Tsar Bomba, was around 50 Megatons as a highball. Of course this means a 1000x difference.

Assuming the lowball case and doing some calculations suggests that Shyuldir is equivalent to a M78 red ultra that is +30 000 years of age, which we haven't seen before in canon. Which Constelas is scaled above.

So I guess essentially anything that can potentially beat or contend the Ultra Brothers could beat base Constelas? Like Absolutians, Reiblood, Grimude, Guar Siblings, Guar himself, Grand King, Super Grand King Spectre, U-Killersaurus, U-Killersaurus NEO, UDK, Toregia, Belial etc

For Beyond tho, since u say his finisher is 200x stronger than his base's finisher, which in turn is 50x stronger than his standard beam (which I presume is enough to one shot a Tier 2 kaiju), you're essentially saying that Beyond is at least 10 000x stronger than an average New Gen

Which actually works out to being 10x stronger than an Ultra Brother level of power, which isnt actually consistent with his feat of being able to shatter a 750 mile barrier, which is 10x the feat of Ken shattering a 100Km asteroid

Yeah so your scaling here is kind of weird because of the specific multipliers u decided to attach onto each forms.

Cause this basically means that base Constelas is essentially a glass cannon with Beyond being way too underpowered with his beam but being buffed up tremendously physically

Such a huge discrepancy makes it kinda weird to place him in the power scale cause simply anyone with zoning abilities/hax or that is intangible could contend with him, but these beings range from Bullton all the way to beings like Greeza or Grimude

But there's an even bigger contradiction with how u wrote your OC

I mean since u said that your OC is essentially the light of all Ultras in your Showa Universe (which I presume u specifically mean your headcanon LoL), which in canon contains about 18 Billion Ultras, 1 Million of which are members of the IGDF . Tbh everything else in the list is already kind of irrelevant.

So, even lowballing, basically you're asking if anything can go against 1 Million Ultras fused into 1.

But said feats u have mentioned are waaaaay too underpowered for that to be true (Gruebe can be estimated to be around 100x stronger than Ruebe already, and thats just moving from a duo to a trio fusion)

Unless if say I ignore your dm'ed info and just go by whoever can take on a million ultra fusion, you'll essentially just have an obvious answer of any Legendary Tiered Ultras or equivalent beings like Reiblood and maybe the Absolutian Lord with hax abilities like Legend with his time travelling etc

Can Ultraman Taiga using Ultra Z Riser to access his extra strongest form, Extreme Trinity which uses assets of Ultraman Rosso, Ultraman Blu & Ultrawoman Grigio?

Hi!

That's like alot of 'out-there' aspects included in your qn like how u know that particular fusion combination is is extra strongest form etc, so I can really say much about that cause don't even have the slightest clue of anything beyond what we've already seen

But of course this fusion combination is still possible but TsuPro has never repeated fusion combinations, even Type 1 fusion components have never intersected with Type 2 fusions

Which is why we will never see a Orb/Geed Ginga x Victory fusion cause Ginga Victory exists

Same for this particular fusion combination, we already have Gruebe so it's really unlikely that we'll see this fusion result from the Z Riser

Just asking but, if Taro Ultra-Overlapped with all the Ultras that Appeared in the Ultraman Ginga Movie. Or with all the New Generation Ultras. Then what would he get from doing that and how powerful would he get?

Let’s first refresh ourselves with who are the Ultras we are looking at here and at the same time, estimate their power levels

Ultraman Tiga: Base L1, Max L2 

Ultraman Dyna: Base L1, Max L2 (Revolium Wave hax ability)

Ultraman Gaia: Base L6, Max L6 (Cause unknown power difference btw L6 and L7)

Ultraman Cosmos: Base L1, Max L4

Ultraman Nexus: Base L1, Max L10

Ultraman Max: Base L1, Max L2 (Again, not sure if I want to put him on L6 cause of the Max Galaxy)

Ultraman Mebius: Base L1, Max L2

Ultraman Zero: Base L1, Max L5

Ultraman Ginga: Base L6, Max L6

Ultraman Victory: Base L6, Max L6

Ultraman X: Base L1, Max L5

Ultraman Orb: Base L1, Max L5

Ultraman Geed: Base L1, Max L5

Ultraman R/B/G: Base L1, Max L5 (Gruebe)

Ultraman Taiga: Base L1, Max L4 (TS is at L3 but cause of Quattro Squad Blaster, ill put him at L4 more or less)

Ok so lets take the first scenario with Taro Ultra Overlapping with the 10 Ultras in the Ginga S Movie

Well, short answer, L10 confirmed

Why? 

Noa’s literally there and he’s already L10, the rest of the Ultras aren’t even significant enough to consider here

Do note that we’re treading in literally ‘out-there’ territory cause L10 capabilities are very vague, not to mention its a fusion

The resultant fusion would have all the hax abiltiies from Noa, Gaia, Agul and Dyna

Not to mention with gears such as the King Bracelet, Max Galaxy, UlTrans etc, perhaps they would fuse and become his armor

Also have access to the Geed Riser which basically grants him access to the New Generation Alpha and Beta Capsules so some hints of X and Orb’s powers as well

Perhaps at this point, he’ll be able to achieve his Glitter Form on the fly

For New Gen, for simplicity’s sake let’s take all New Gen at their max forms and see how the they stack up

As broken down in my previous posts, I estimate Ginga and Victory to be around Ultra Brother Level, so let’s take GV and highball him to Taro’s level cause come on, a fusion of two Ultra Brother level Ultras should be able to be on par with Taro

EXBSA at least L4 cause its officially stated to be above even the Ultimate Aegis

But considering that it was also stated to be above Hybrid Armor which is also above Ultimate Aegis, let’s also highball him to L5

OT solid L5, maybe even L6 so let’s highball him to maybe Jack or sth

UF standard L5

Gruebe, aside from his strength, standard L5

TS L4

Titus L2, L3 if u just look at his strength stat

Fuma L2, L3 if u just look at his speed stat

In short, u have two L7, four L5, one L4, two L3

Now compare it to Super Taro which consisted of one L7 and five L6

And Mebius Infinity which consisted of one L7, five L6 and one L2

Tbh if u ask me, my money is the resultant fusion being weaker than Super Taro

Cause you’re looking at a base of Two Taros, which covers around 4 Ultra Brothers, so we’re looking at 3 Ultra Brothers in excess

And I don't think the remaining 3 Ultra Brother Level slots can be adequately supplemented by four L5s, one L4 and two L3s

So yeah in this case, Taro would also be L10, but still weaker than the previous hypothetical resultant fusion of the previous scenario

As for what the resultant fusion can do?

Since this is really a very vague scenario ill just compare it to the previous fusion, he’ll definitely not be able to perform as much hax abilities as the former

Has access to UlTrans, Cyber Armor (Be able to digitized beings and equip their gears or armors on the spot)

Able to use Ultra Cards and Capsules using the Orb Ring and Geed Riser

Able to dish out elemental attacks cause of Gruebe, Orb and Fuma

Since he would also have access to the Taiga Spark, he can attain higher forms and create different weapons

So sure he’ll have the ability to grow even stronger all the gimmicks, but can it compare to the sheer power of Super Taro?

Mebius Infinity is kind of just a little step up from Super Taro only cause Mebius is just an L2

So yeah, its really hard to say cause there’s literally so many things both could do but so little we could know essentially cause we’re messing with L10 stuff

Addressing Ultraman Z

Yeah, so I was really hesitant to comment on this earlier cause I wanted to wait out for more info but at this point there seems to be massive confusion on what's going on and many have asked me to share my thoughts on the current situation

So in this post I'm just gonna consolidate all the info we have received thus far about this and basically break down what the hell is going on based on my current understanding

So for those that are unaware what was going on in the last few days, first this dropped:

So apparently this is some sort of trademark list originating from Weibo (China)

Tbh I'm very hesitant to believe this leak cause never we have had a trademark of this format being released ever before

But people also posted this to support it's validity:

That Taiga, Titus and Fuma's trademarks were also posted in this format, which the dates correspond as well

I found this support very suspicious cause if y'all remember, we actually never even seen this trademark format being leaked back last year either, and their trademarks all came in the usual trademark format that we're all familiar with

Speaking of the usual trademarks, let me also address this one as well:

Ultraman Zeus

Yeah I think this is pretty obvious that this is fake af

First there's the inconsistency in font quality as well as the dates don't match up so there's that

And then there's this supposed backstory of Z:

So from what I can understand thus far, this was actually included as one of RB's works so this existed since like early last year

So apparently this was RB's original plan and Z here was basically meant to be Gruebe essentially that split into two

Basically my old theory that Gruebe was the original ultra that split into three essentially for more clarity

So again, in short, from what I can understand for now,

This timeline isn't new

This 'Ultraman Z' timeline plan was basically a scrapped RB idea

Thoughts:

And now how do I feel about all this?

So bringing all the way back to the Weibo Z trademark, someone may have just read the above timeline and decided to make up the list and then input the Taiga, Titus and Fuma trademarks in the same format as well as releasing it now to strengthen its validity

Cause the fact remains that we've never seen a trademark ever being released in this format before nor have we seen this trademark being released during the Taiga leaks period

Not to mention that in the grander scheme of things, currently we're literally just beginning the Taiga narrative with so many unresolved plot points, especially with Toregia that would unlikely be resolved even by NGC

And considering that TsuPro has been so secretive about leaks as seen with installments all the way back since UGF and especially NGC, why would they drop a new trademark out of nowhere while all this masking is taking place?

In short, massive doubt that Z is real at this point

Okay now this one really gets to me. If Ultraman Jack could transform at will without using a transformation item, then why the heck can’t any of the other Ultras do the same thing?

Well realistically speaking as for the other ultras, its cause of Merch

But I suppose it was also because the Jack series wasn't really well planned beforehand, which is why the whole ‘Return of Ultraman’ logistics issue

However, it just seems to be the way how ultras in their human alter ego or host be able to access their Ultra Forms and harness their light energies. In Gaia, we see that Gamu created the Esplender to store Gaia’s energy within it to allow him to assume his Ultra Form

So basically the henshin item sort of acts as a ‘bridge’ between the Ultra and the Host’s will to transform

So in Jack, the act of raising his hand acts as that same ‘bridge’

Tho in the case of especially the New Gen, they have additional gadgets to transform cause most of them are relying on external power sources:

Ginga: Storium Brace granted by Taro. Fusion Brace, Granted by King

Victory: Knight Timbre, granted by Hikari

Tho of course that whole theory of Ginga, Victory and Dark Lugiel all being once a single being which is why all three of them uses the ‘Ult’ Henshin item

X: Daichi has to access the X devizer as X resides within it, not to mention its how X can only equip his armors and power ups is through Xio’s technology

Orb: The Orb Ring was granted by the VoL which allows him to access and merge the powers of the Ultra Cards

Geed: Well this is an interesting example as we all know why the Geed Riser is a thing cause its the same as Orb but perhaps the reason why Geed cant access his original form is because hes a clone, and perhaps every ultra has their own unique way of transforming via the use of a device, but Belial probably either lost his after being exiled. 

Which means that neither Geed nor Belial has their own henshin item to transform to their original forms but has to still rely on other sources like Belial through Reiblood, Geed via the Geed Riser

But this brings up the interesting example of Toregia tho, yeah the Grimude conspiracy just got thicker but not gonna go there for this post

RB: Another interesting example

Yeah the fact that they are using the elemental powers (I refuse to say that theyre the powers of other ultras cause theyre not) gives rise the possibility that Rosso Flame and Blu Aqua aren't their original forms, neither is Grigio cause of her weird transformation sequence

All this further suggests that Gruebe is the original ultra that was split into three via the VoL due to the existence of the Makoto Crystal

But this is also a story for another time cause it goes really deep into another chunky theory of the VoL being a portal to a whole other pocket universe of Ultras

Taiga: Now this one is really convenient as well as that Taiga Spark was specifically made to be able to both have the host or human alter ego to access their Ultra Forms and harness the power from external sources which is what we saw for the latter with PE and TS

So as u can see, things get more interesting when we get to the New Gen compared to the Showa and Heisei Ultras

But in any case, its really just merch at the end of the day

What would happen if Orb or Geed used Father of Ultra and Mother of Ultra cards/capsules into a fusion form lol. Or even more cursed, Ultraman and Ultraman Jack fusion cards/capsules

Yeah I see where you're coming from, these are actually like 4 year old jokes cause literally everyone in the fanbase back in 2016 were all saying this lmao

But I suppose for the first combo, we might get something like a more buffed Gruebe as the base ultras, both Orb and Geed are males anyways, the same gender combination as Gruebe

For the second combi, we just might get essentially a buffed version of Orb with a mixture of Ultraman and Jack's patterns.

With Geed it'll look even plainer as Geed's base form is literally just pre-reionyx Belial which has the exact same color scheme as both the components, but of course with the blue eyes
