When Five hallucinated Dolores, we see that he actually acted out what he was imaging in real life (we see him make out with air) so does that mean Diego did a whole dance routine by himself and no one mentioned it?? I need to know

Umbrella Academy Season 4 Thoughts and Theories

I agree with @eddie-dxaz‘s theory that Allison is dead. To summarize, Allison is in the afterlife, which has taken on her form of heaven. Once the siblings realize that, Klaus will attempt to resurrect her (the question is, will she even want to be resurrected?- I kind of doubt it).

Since Klaus hasn’t fully reached this ability, he will spend the season focused on that.

I’ve already seen people theorizing that next season will be his ‘crazy’ season (after Luther, Diego, and Allison). I think his obsession will be attempting to master the power of resurrection- specifically in order to resurrect Dave as well as Allison. People have already pointed out that each season, a character’s obsession stems from trauma and attempting (sometimes) to work through it. Dave & Klaus’ time in Vietnam is a pretttyy big source of trauma (not to mention his most recent source of trauma through betrayal thanks to Reggie). We’ve already seen that his tattoos have disappeared- they were special to him so that could potentially cause a crisis for sure.

The Ben on the train is Umbrella Ben- the Umbrellas AND the Sparrows should exist in the reset timeline. Not to mention, what’s the point in including that as an end credit scene if it is in fact Sparrow Ben? It didn’t serve much purpose beyond showing him, and we already know that Sparrow Ben is alive and with them in that timeline.

Speaking of the Sparrows, since they (presumably) existed in the original timeline (just not the Sparrow Academy) they’ll also exist in this timeline. They just won’t recognize any of the Umbrella Academy members. I imagine this will cause a bit of a crisis for Ben, as we’ve already seen how he bases so much of his self identity on the Sparrow Academy.

Luther of course, will be searching for Sloane- we have no idea what her life is like in this timeline, so that plotline could take several forms.

Diego and Lila, of course, will be starting a family.

And (obviously) the main focus of the season will be on taking down Hargreeves. I think next season has the potential to be a great one, especially now that they’re moving away from the apocalypses plotline. That repetition hasn’t bothered me too much yet just because of how creative the show is in other ways, but regardless I’m glad they’re moving on to a strong villainous presence. This will be an incredibly difficult and personal fight for all of the Hargreeves, and Colm Feore is an fantastic villain, so personally, I can’t wait for season 4.

Reflections of why Luther actually saved them all

(Spoilers ahead)

I think Reggie's plan to leave Klaus there to die was always in his check list. But killing Luther was a desperate move and a mistake. Let me explain.

Klaus was trying to convince his siblings to listen to Reginald's plan. If everyone have said "yes", then Luther wouldn't been killed, only Klaus, because Hargreeves stated "he was too much trouble".

Now, here's another thing: the only reason Klaus decided to come back was Luther. When Klaus died in the Obsidian, he didn't want to come back, he wanted to stayed there in The Void forever*. So the Umbrellas and Sparrows would've never knew that Reginald's plan was to destroy all of them and Allison would have never stopped Reginald in that machine, because up until that point, Allison trusted him.

So yes, killing Luther was a mistake Reginald never thought of. And that's how Luther is the reason they all came back alive.

*The reason he never came back in the first Apocalypse, he opted to stay dead, as he always wanted. I'm saying this because I've seen people ask why he didn't come back and meet Five.

The Umbrella Academy Duos I Loved This Season

Five + Lila- I absolutely loved their arc from enemies to friends, they have fantastic banter and were delightful to watch together.

Lila + Diego- I’ve always loved their relationship, they have great chemistry, and are always super entertaining.

Diego + Luther- They’re just idiots and it’s fun.

Diego + Stanley- They had a great father/son dynamic, providing both heartwarming scenes, comedic relief, and some great character depth/development from Diego. I seriously hope Stanley returns for season 4 (I want Diego and Lila to adopt him). I also think the Umbrellas having to care for a child in general is hilarious (as we saw this season) and I want him to interact more with Five.

Stanley + Klaus- Yes, I realize they only had like 4 scenes together (two of which Stan spent accidentally murdering Klaus and wrapping his body in a carpet) but I really enjoyed seeing Klaus as the ‘fun uncle’ to Stanley’s rebellious nephew, even though it was brief.

Klaus + Five- I adore both of them so much! Hearing Five yell “No Ball of Twine no birth mother” was a delightful experience.

Klaus + Reggie- Up until a certain point at least. But what can I say, Colin Feore plays the uptight dad figure perfectly, and he and Klaus gave us some truly great scenes, despite being tarnished in retrospect. Seriously though poor Klaus, when is he gonna get a break?? Imagine the trauma of finally attempting to move on from the past only to be betrayed, manipulated, and traumatized YET AGAIN?

Huh I wonder who my favorite characters are🤷🏼‍♀️
