How hard would it be to teach Chu and Roll how to read?
More fan mail, this time for the two dummies of the crew. Lily isn't really the best teacher, but she's the only one who'd volunteer to try to teach them. Unfortunately, Roll has the attention span of a gnat, and Chu is...well...she's trying her best.
More of my new/revived character Chandler. I remember when I got my portfolio reviewed the professor said something along the lines "You should draw more pictures that show off your character's personalities."
So that's what I attempted here. Although Chandler is still new so her personality is still a work in progress.
Mannnnnnn what an episode. This might end up in my top 10 ngl. This show just gives me a feeling I haven’t had in a while.
Lot to go over in this episode. First of all, I really appreciate the variance that these cases have. I really did not think Alma would be the werewolf. Yea she had the sus fake art school backstory, but I thought that would be classic misdirection and it would be the doctor. That golden werewolf that she described must’ve been something related to her powers then? Something still just feels like it’s missing.
Aya said last week that she basically already knew who the culprit was, but that was before she knew about Alma IIRC, so are there multiple culprits? Someone framing her? I find it odd that we only see her silhouette thru the window instead of her actual body. Combined with the aforementioned stuff and I think we got a misdirection. Can’t wait to find out next week.
The Sakuga during the fight with “Alma” was awesome. When this show does action, it really does it well. The Lupin fight a few weeks ago was great too.
Yooo that Aya and Tsuguru make out session was steamy as hell 💀 Even stoic Shizuku had to break it up. Think that’s only the first time since the first episode that we’ve seen that. So it’s a regular mana sharing type gimmick? Need more of that lmao.
Speaking of Shizuku, damn. No way she’s dead but that was a very risky move putting herself on the line like that to save Aya. Probably would’ve been a better idea to sit her cage somewhere a safer distance away so that the rampaging werewolf didn’t knock it sky high. But active battle and all, I get it.
Kyle and the pistol girl are interesting additions to the cast. Really love her crass way of speaking lol.
"They taught me how to be gentle - the little Dirt Friends."
Sweet summer child Berboner. No one likes bugs and barely anyone likes her, so they’re two deformed peas in a lil gross pod. I want to do a piece of Calli and Verona painting cockroaches together. I just really need to get rid of this art block. Good thing I have 2 years worth of art I don’t hate to put in queue (epic).
When girl is mummy. And badass warrior guardian. Those are magic clawed guantlets she can use to slash, hammer punch, and use as bracers, bringing the scarab-esque shields for blocking. She is strong. Had a friend who thought she looks like a cool fighting game, and that's a fun idea!
Happy Halloween! Here's a comic featuring 3 different requests, each from a different site. In order, they are:
Vash1116 (Twitter): Chu climbing into a pumpkin candy bucket
@mcnigit (Tumblr): Lily trick-or-treating with a pumpkin bucket
Psyknight72 (DeviantArt): Chu poorly disguised as Halloween food
Thanks to everyone who sent in a request, it was a lot of fun doing goofy stuff with my characters, especially the ones that haven't gotten much love in a while. And as I said before, I still have a few more requests left that I'll be getting to next month. So keep an eye out!
Damn a village full of hot werewolf waifus? Sign me tf up.
Really good episode as usual. it’s cool to see Shizuku on her own having to plan out and navigate a tricky situation. With the kidnapping and murder situation it’s understandable that the village is apprehensive about any human presence, but this all but confirms that it’s someone deliberately instigating conflict between the two villages.
Human girls are also being found murdered. What’s the end goal? A war between the two? Who wins in that case? It can’t be banquet since they don’t know where the village is. Maybe retaliation for that original flashback?
Like how Shizuku and the girls bonded over some tea. Putting those maid abilities to good use lol. Such a contrast between how confident and bold she is with Aya and Tsugaru vs how she interacts with others.
I don’t quite get why Nora got upset after Shizuku asked her that question though. Did she think Shizuku was insinuating they weren’t trying hard or that there was foul play? Sucks that decision led to her death. If they all stayed together she’d still be alive.
Figured there’d probably be some complication with getting Shizuku out the village, but damn didn’t expect it would be because of someone being clumsy and titling the carriage causing the hay to fall out lol.
Regi being suspicious of any human visitor is understandable. Especially when they told her that Shizuku had a gun 🤦🏽♂️ fear motivates people to do irrational things and putting on the scaffolding is a perfect example of that. No matter what she said they were never going to believe her. Nora’s murder probably saved her life tbf.
Damn Banquet would come at the worst possible moment 🤦🏽♂️ can’t get any more inconvenient than climbing the edge of a cliff. Literal cliffhanger ending to the episode. Can’t wait for next week!
