HTTYD Books Fanfic Poll

Hello, my fellow Dragonmarkers! Today, I've decided to make a poll. There are several ideas I'd like to work on, however, I'm struggling to choose which one to start on first. Granted, I have a feeling I know what you guys want me to work on first, but I still want to ask anyways. 😏

So before you vote, I'd like to list down the options below and a little summary as to what each choice will be about.

Poll will end on Hiccup's birthday on February 29th. So spread the word. 🙏🏻😉

Thuggory's Saga

This story will be on Thuggory's POV throughout the Books and what was going on behind the scenes when Thuggory wasn't around.

Thuggory Name Parody Series

This work will be a one-shot series consolidated into one story that has Thuggory doing various things based on what his name is (i.e. Thuggory will be thuggish, Muggory will be drinking a mug or mugging somebody, Chuggory will be chugging ale, etc).

Fishlegs' Second Impossible Quest

(Post Book 12) Fishlegs drags Hiccup into yet ANOTHER Impossible Quest when Fishlegs seems to have forgotten his lesson and was caught sending love poems to Barbara the Barbarian. Suffering scallops, Fishlegs! Didn't Hiccup just say to NOT do this again?! 💢😠😒😑🙄🤦‍♂️

Actually, wouldn't it be hilarious if that's how Hiccup got married because everyone thinks that the love letters were HIS and not Fishlegs, causing him to marry Barbara or some other chick. lol 🤣

Exile on Cannibal Isle

(Book 1) What if the adults had decided to banish their youth that evening after their failure, regardless of the thunderstorm? Our hapless youths end up becoming Outcasts — not on the Mainland, as planned, but on Cannibal Isle instead: an island filled with natives and Outcasts who had a fondness for human flesh. How will Hiccup, Thuggory, and Co. escape their current predicament? And will they return in time before the Green Death roasts their Tribes to well-done human kabobs?

The Tale of Two Swords

Told from Endeavor's POV (and sometimes from Stormblade's), this story delves into their respective origins, how they came into the hands of their respective owners, and the events leading up to the conflict between Alvin the Treacherous and Hiccup the Third. Two swords, two grudges, two wills, two forces, and two ideologies will clash for supremacy!

Hiccup's Saga

(Post Book 12) This story will focus on Hiccup's story AFTER his ascension as the 13th King of the Renewed Kingdom of the Wilderwest. As well as his achievements, his experiences, his struggles, and his life milestones. This will try to stay loyal to the books and to the books' epilogues.

Hiccup the First's Saga

Told from Hiccup's POV until he meets Wodensfang, which will then transition to Wodensfang's POV ever afterwards. This will get into the details of his birth, the war with the Uglithugs, the Hooligans getting ousted from the Mainland and their migration to Berk; it will get to Hiccup's childhood and adolescence, the start of the brutal Human-Dragon Wars, and how he eventually meets Wodensfang; then his defeat of Merciless/Green Death, the founding of the Kingdom of the Wilderwest, and his achievements and milestone events as King, until his death.

Hiccup the Second's Saga

This will focus on Hiccup the Second's life from birth to the time of his death, including his life with his adopted draconian family, and his reunion with his father and family, and his struggles ever afterwards. I plan on this being told from his POV. Not sure whether to have this be a third-person narrator like what the Books were, or to have it be in the first-person in the manner of Hiccup writing an autobiography.

What do you guys think?

Hiccup's Young Chief AU

This story idea dives into what would happen if Hiccup had to become the new Chief of Berk early on in his youth. From this point, we have several options to choose from.

1) Have this be a sequel to "Exile on Cannibal Isle" if the ending ends up being tragic for the adults, and Thuggory and Hiccup are left to pick up the pieces after slaying the Green Death.

2) Have this set in Book 2, if Stoick dies in the fight against Alvin, as a consequence of the curse of Grimbeard's treasure.

3) Have this set in Book 7, when Madguts the Murderous was about to execute Big Bertha and Stoick in revenge, and Hiccup failed to return on time.

4) Have this set in Book 9, when Stoick is missing (via Excellinor the Witch), and Hiccup never finds him again.

5) Have this set in Book 9 when all the adults are missing or perished, and the Warriors-to-Be are the only ones left in the School (aside from the Outcasts, obviously), and so everyone has to fight together in order to escape.

6) Have this set in Books 10/11 when Stoick dies in battle and Hiccup is forced to lead his Tribe in their fight against both Alvinsmen and Dragons.

Old Wrinkly's Saga

(Pre-HTTYD) This focuses on Old Wrinkly's POV, from his origins, to his life, to the events of Humungous Hotshot and his daughter, to her eventual marriage to Stoick, to how he came to live with the Hooligans, aaaaaall the way to Hiccup becoming King.

Valhallarama's Saga

(Pre-HTTYD) This story focuses on Val's POV from her birth, to her romance with Humungous, to her marriage to Stoick, to her son Hiccup's birth, to her many MANY Quests, aaaaaall the way to her death.

Alvin's Saga (or Saga of the Outcasts)

(Pre-HTTYD) This focuses on Alvin's origins: from his birth, to his upbringing, to how he turned his Tribe into one of the most "modern" and dangerous Tribes in the Archipelago, how he came across the Legend of the King's Lost Things, his fateful encounter with his future arch-nemesis Hiccup, and his gradual elevation to ultimate power. I might have this story end once he meets with Hiccup. Or maybe I end it with his death. That's up to you guys.

Snotface Snotlout's Saga

(Pre-HTTYD / HTTYD) This story focuses on Snotface Snotlout's origins: from his birth, to Hiccup's birth, to the origin of his rivalry with him, and so on — right up to his death! (Or I could keep him alive instead?)

Norbert the Nutjob's Saga

(Book 4) This story is about Norbert's origins: His birth and childhood, his father's death, his dream to go to the New World, and turning the Hysterics into the greatest Viking Tribe in the Archipelago; his fateful encounter and feud with Hiccup the Third, and his eventual downfall. And then his return!

Deadly Shadow's Saga

(Book 10) This story is about the Deadly Shadow's origins: From birth to hatchling, to their fateful encounter with their mistress, Fishlegs' mother; her meeting Alvin and giving birth to his child; the death of Termagant and the Disappearance of her only child; of their eventual conversion to Furious' rebellion, and of their reunion with Fishlegs; and much more.

Furious' Saga

(Book 8) This story is on Furious' origins: His birth, to his meeting with Hiccup the Second, his life with him, facing his 'brother's' death, imprisonment, his meeting with Hiccup the Third, his escape, his rebellion, and finally his departure.

The Viking Tribes of the Barbaric Archipelago

This is a nonfiction fanfic that dives into the geography, history, culture, and customs of every Viking Tribe in the Archipelago (in the Books). You can look at this as a Guide to the Archipelago (an All You Need to Know About X book), or as a history book composed by a future historian. Take your pick.

hhhhhh thanks I'm glad you like the 10 class system! But now I'm gonna go a step further: we have Night Fury for Strike, Deadly Nadder for Tracker, Gronckle for Boulder, Monstrous Nightmare for Stoker, and Hideous Zippleback for Fear. What if there were riders for the other 5, what species would they ride? I'm thinking Death Song or Dramilion for Mystery, Razorwhip or Timberjack or Hackatoo for Sharp, Snow Wraith for Frost, Triple Stryke for Toxic, and Thunderdrum for Tidal.

All those proposed dragons are great for a larger rider group. Especially, I love your inclusion of Razorwhip, Thunderjack, and Thunderdrum. And not just because I like those dragons (though that bias is there <.< haha).

Dragons like the Thunderjack and Thunderdrum I think of as "more common," containing a higher population near Berk. That's my headcanon, but how I got it: The Thunderjack was introducer sooner into HTTYD lore, so I think of it as "more standard" than "exotic." The Hairy Hooligans knew about and talked about that dragon for a long time before anyone went off venturing, ergo, it's around them lots. Similarly, Thunderdrums were introduced earlier in HTTYD franchisedom, and between Thornado and the babies Bing, Bam, and Boom, we've seen enough Thunderdrums I suspect they're frequent around Berk.

When dragons are native to Berk and populous, they're more likely to become a rider's dragon. When making headcanons of future hypothetical riders, I prefer sticking to "more likely" dragons.

There's a cool narrative appeal to hitting all 10 classes, as you were saying. So, going by your premise:

Hiccup: Night Fury (Strike Class)

Astrid: Deadly Nadder (Tracker Class / Sharp Class)

Fishlegs: Gronckle (Boulder Class)

Snotlout: Monstrous Nightmare (Stoker Class)

Ruffnut and Tuffnut: Hideous Zippleback (Fear Class)

Heather: Razorwhip (Sharp Class)

New Rider A: Changewing (Mystery Class)

New Rider B: Snow Wraith or Woolly Howl (Frost Class)

New Rider C: Triple Stryke (Toxic Class)

New Rider D: Thunderdrum (Tidal Class)

Honorable mention: Speed Stinger as a non-rideable Toxic Class pal, like the Terrible Terror messenger dragons they had.

You already had such good ideas I'm sticking close to them!

In a hypothetical world I had full control of creating five new riders, I wouldn't hit all classes of the proposed 10 class system! I'd have doubles. Why not three Nadders and two Gronckles? That's more likely than each dragon class being represented once! It wouldn't have the cool narrative factor you're working with, but I'd enjoy doing an underappreciated duplicates thing, too.

Because I'm a book!HTTYD lover, whenever I consider creating HTTYD characters / content, I slip in as many book Easter Eggs as possible. So there's also a chance I'd give new rider characters the dragons book characters had. (Heck, just put Camicazi, Thuggory, etc. into the "new riders" group!)

An estimate of how many physical books I own: By my guess, 150. I have some fiction but most of them are either field guides, poultry books or just old American Poultry Association and old American Bantam Association Yearbooks. And I have a few bibles and devotionals and stuff.

Favourite author: Tolkien! My favorite standalone book is The Hobbit and my favorite trilogy is LOTR (yes I am counting it as a trilogy because then I don't have to pick between them.) I never enjoyed the Silmarillon I'm afraid, there are no hobbits. I only read half of it. And equally, Cressida Cowell which is why I have a second HTTYD blog called common-or-garden-blog. The How To Train Your Dragon books are definitely my favorite series. I never got into the Wizards of Once. I'm sure the characters were great but I was already invested in the HTTYD trio so it was weird when I saw two characters that looked just like Hiccup and Camicazi but with their personalities swapped and the cognitive dissonance was just too much for me to get invested. I think I just struggle to not compare new media with the old.

A popular book I've never read and never intend to read: Twilight. *shrugs*

A popular book I thought was just meh: "Eragon." I read the whole 1st book of the series and more of the second and I still don't know why my uncle recommended it to me. I just thought it was bad writing.

Longest book I own: The Holy Bible. I am a proud Christian. It did take me a year but I have read all of it (okay I will be honest I did skim a lot of Leviticus though.)

Longest series I own all the books to: How To Train Your Dragon. Actually, that's the only series I own all the books to.

Prettiest book I own: I had a beautiful light blue leatherbound Bible with a flower on it but it got so worn out it can hardly be called the prettiest. Okay maybe it still can. The prettiest book I don't own is the anniversary edition The Hobbit that I got for my brother just so I could gaze at Tolkien's drawings.

A book or series I wish more people knew about: Apart from HTTYD which is something totally different from the movies and very underappreciated, I wish more people knew about The Great Turkey Walk by Kathlene Karr. It is an antebellum era historical fiction story with some characters you will love and root for disguised as a brisk, rollicking cattle turkey drive. I actually made fan art for it once and was super disappointed that there was literally no content for it on Tumblr at all like not even a mention. I'd say I'm biased because turkeys are my fav animal but 1. when I found out it existed I checked it out because it had turkeys only to discover it was a book that I had enjoyed in elementary school, I just totally forgot the turkeys were in it (even though they drove the plot.) I only remembered the other parts of the plot! 2. I gave it to my history teacher while we studied the antebellum in APUSH and she loved it.

Why Did The Chicken Cross the World sadly this is not a book that I own but I have read it twice. It's a fascinating examination of the history of chickens and how they spread all over the planet. (There are more chickens than humans, did you know that?

everything else is very specific to my little chicken and genetics obsession or a field guide, lol

Book I'm reading now: I've been trying to read Wheel of Time because a friend gave it to me. But it is chapter 11 or 12. At that point in The Fellowship we would be past Rivendale. In book 1 of this series (I don't even remember what it is called) we are traveling and have had 1 (one) event of interest happen so far. Also, I only tolerate the characters. Also this book is one of the biggest I've ever read and there are 12 more in the series. If I am ever to leave the stagnation and start reading again I need to give up.

Book that's been on my TBR list for a while but I still haven't got around to it: *looks at goodreads* ew those are the books I was interested in reading? No wonder I haven't read any they all look like they suck (except Catcher in the Rye, I actually read it and it was a real banger.) I guess Dealing With Dragons is a book on there that actually still looks appealing.

Do you have any books in a language other than English: I.. I've written a book short story in English and then translated and illustrated it into Spanish in a tiny sketchbook (and left the rest of the pages blank) does that count? (I would share the video but I don't want people to mock my Spanish I'm trying okay?)

Paperback, hardcover, or ebook? Hardback and softcover. I prefer hardcover since the ones that are softcover are looking a little worse for the wear. BUT to combat my worn out LOTR I bought a single edition hardcover because it was cheaper than 3 separate books but it turns out it is really hard and intimidating to read because it is so big and heavy so that was a fail.

12: a character that i love that's underappreciated

i already answered this one here, but i tend to attach to underappreciated characters oops so imma make a big claim here... but... camicazi from the httyd books... yes the books... actually, anyone from the httyd books but imma say camicazi and... no camicazi AND fishlegs.

the movies did them SO DIRTY first of all, they replaced camicazi--my favorite httyd character btw--with astr*d which is a sin in itself, and then they literally change like. everything about fishlegs??? fishlegs is actually an unhealthily skinny kid with curly black hair, glasses, pretty bad asthma, super bad allergies, and essentially the viking diagnosis of bipolar. he is like. Incredible representation !!! plus, he's hiccup's best friend above all others in the books and he is like super freaking important and they like never make him less than or poke fun at him due to any of his stuff (except like. the abelist vikings but they are made to be in the wrong), and he is still completely capable. he's scared, but he's brave and is willing to do anything for his friends. he's compassionate and clever and one of the more logical thinkers in the series. he actually thinks about the consequences before he does things !!!

then camicazi... my absolute beloved... oh how i adore she... she is super small. like. under four feet. yeah, she'll probably grow a little bit since she's pretty young but Still ! she defies female stereotypes, is the most skilled fighter in the main trio, is terrifying, fierce, can and will rob anyone she feels like for funsies, angry, loyal to a fault, willing to die for her friends without second thought, stupidly brave, and always tells hiccup and fishlegs "hey, you're not bad, for boys of course" or "you're a pretty good fighter, for boys of course" she is incredible, my childhood hero, and she is So underappreciated.

15: a character i'd throw hands with

hahn. hahn avatar. i have written two fics where i have had him punched in the face (zuko & jet) and i feel like he deserves it. he freaking Sucks, my dudes. will fight him. mean to my two favorite atla characters nope nope nope. also, i am more than willing to hate him than have people hate jet.

TOP 10: 2019 Most Anticipated Movies

10-. Godzilla: King of Monsters- Michael Dougherty.

I like Dougherty. I love Trick ‘r’ Treat and I think Krampus is better than most people give it credit for. I like his vision towards monsters, and that’s pretty much enough for me to get me hyped for this upcoming Godzilla sequel, even if it will be an evident lack of practical effects in this titanic blockbuster film. Most important of all, I believe the Gareth Edwards remake of 2014 is highly underappreciated and Kong: Skull Island is as good as a blockbuster-kaiju-popcorn flick could be, so yeah, I’m pretty much excited to see what this film has to offer in addition to this baby-shared universe. For instance, the rivals look amazing: King Ghidorah, Mothra and the already confirmed Rodan all have great updated design, and even if the film has this over saturation of cast, the presence of Charles Dance and the return of Ken Watanabe assures me I’ll be enjoying the “human” part of this sequel.

9-. The Missing Link- Chris Butler.

Laika has grown to become one of my favorite animation studios. Coraline was the perfect start, and Paranorman is an underappreciated little gem that is up to become a Halloween classic. Boxtrolls is just too weird for me not to like it and damn Kubo: And the Two Strings is a marvel. Now, I have to admit, this installment doesn’t look potentially epic or outstanding, in fact, I bet it’ll one of the studio’s smallest in every way, since it looks heavily simplistic, but the trailer Is fancy and funny enough for me to expect another enjoyable little stop-motion flick. The cast itself looks great: Hugh Jackman, Emma Thompson, Zoe Saldana, Zack Galifianakis, Timothy Olyphant, Stephen Fry. Man, do Laika know who to voice-cast, huh? Yeah, again, it doesn’t look like a potential Kubo, but damn if I won’t give it the benefit of doubt just for being this particular studio, or how I like to refer to it: the American Ghibli.

8-. The Lion King- Jon Favreau.

How do you manage to beat a classic? Short answer: you don’t. Will Favreau’s remake of the classic Disney animated flick will beat it? Well, I don’t think so… but there are plenty of reasons for me to be excited for this upcoming live-action take of my favorite animated film of all times. For instance, the trailer looks visually astonishing, and the voice cast is A+ stars, purely: Donald Glover, Beyonce, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Seth Rogen, God even James Earl Jones will be reprising his role as Mufasa. Yeah, there’s almost cero chance for this to overcome the original, but thing is, it doesn’t have to, as long as the essence be respected and the movie works as its own, I’m pretty much on board. Besides, Favreau delivered The Jungle Book, once of the best remakes ever made, so I don’t know, I have to expect something not as good, but good enough on its own.

7-. Glass- M. Night Shyamalan.

Boy, did I never expect Split to be as good as it is. Much less, to be part of a universe that connects itself with my favorite Shyamalan film, Unbreakable. Shyamalan has a certain reputation, given the fact that I’ve only truly loved two of his films: The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Yeah, stakes are high on this one, being a sequel-crossover of the later flick, Split demonstrated to be a strong (although phony) horror-thriller, blessed mostly by McAvoy performance(S) among Anya Taylor-Joy, who’s also reprising her role in this one and mainly will be the main connection between films. Yeah, I cannot wait to see McAvoy among Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis in the same film, especially given the style I already enjoy from Shyamalan in his “Superhero takes”. Hopefully it won’t disappoint, but given my impression towards the trailer I get to rest easier.

6-. IT: Chapter 2- Andy Muschietti.

IT: Chapter One was a film I was totally prepared to hate. Seriously, the original tv-miniseries is a cheesy product of the early 90s, and given the fact that Tim Curry was its only good element, the remake (or re-interpretation) of King’s universally beloved novel was something to be careful with. Fortunately, Andy Muschietti scared the hell out of us with his 2017 horror hit. There are plenty of elements to love out of his entry, but I gotta say, the kids, boy those kids nailed and got me in a corner, since I love their chemistry and their performances altogether. Admitting, first things first, it’ll be hard for good old Muschietti to craft a film as good as the first was, considering that the kid’s will be all grown up. Fortunately, we’ll have a great cast to compensate the absence of the little losers, being James McAvoy the lead role along Jessica Chastain. Oh, and Bill Skarsgård will be reprising the role of the frightening Pennywise so, yeah, we’re all good to expect a worthy follow up.

5-. John Wick 3: Parabellum- Chad Stahelski.

You don’t mess with good old Mr. Wick. I love these two films, and each one grew better; the second is one of my favorite action flicks of all times. Combining the best out of the stylized over-the-top action techniques from the 80s with a great environment and an amazing setting, along the presence of Ian McShane, Laurence Fishbourne and, of course, Keanu Reeves in what it has to be one of the best comebacks for an actor after years of self-exile. John Wick is everything I love from the genre, and surely I’m already pumped with this third installment in what I hope could become one of my favorite trilogies ever. After all, the promise of “the biggest killing count” is not to take it so easy, isn’t it?

4-. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden Kingdom- Dean DeBlois.

Speaking of potential favorite trilogies of all times, I underestimated the first HTTYD when it came out in 2010, and surely ever since I saw it for the first time I became instantly a fan. The second one hit and, as expected, I loved it, and the steaks rose into higher levels for the third one, and now that we have an official release date, my body is shaking. Dean DeBlois created a series of films that reached a deep spot in my heart, and I was amazed how much substance and quality these past two films had, so the promise on this one to be even better comes instantly. Hopefully it will be, or even if it’s as good as the first two, yeah, I can live with that, but I won’t lie, I really wish this can move me even more. I wish for the conclusion of Hipo and Toothless reach a worthy and satisfying ending, but better yet, a heartwarming-epic one.

3-. Star Wars Episode IX- J.J.Abrams.

There is not much I can say but… damn, I really do want to see how this concludes. No, I’m not a part of the fandom that trashes everything created by Disney-Lucasfilms and no, I didn’t hate The Last Jedi. The former was one of my favorite 2017 films, and I’ll be damned if I don’t say I anticipate the hell out of Episode IX, also considering Abram’s return. I get the decisions made and I get the changes, and I’m open for some of the same, but definitely the task is even bigger now that the Skywalker franchise is coming to an end. Will Kylo Ren remain in the dark? Will Rey be able to fight him and restore the balance without submitting to the dark as well? Will Luke train her as a Force-ghost? What the hell are they going to do with Leia’s character? I need answers! There are no Trailers, no official Title and no footage yet, so yeah, it’ll be a long wait for a glimpse of anything, but in the meantime I’ll prepare and I’ll keep enjoying my favorite franchise of all time with enough hype and anticipation. 2-. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood- Quentin Tarantino.

Quentin Tarantino has to be one of my favorite recent directors out there. The guy plans to retire after his 10th film, being this one the 9th so, yeah, one more to go after this. The story is a fanfic of Hollywood in the sixties, but taking a darker approach than usual by adding the presence of the late Charles Manson. As always, the project is intriguing and the presence of plenty of familiar faces for the director’s filmography, such as DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Al Pacino, Damian Lewis, Tim Roth, Kurt Russell, Michael Madsen, gosh, I’m just naming a few. Certainly this upcoming film has caused plenty of controversy, and until we see any Trailers there’s not much to anticipate than Tarantino’s classic old-school retro-style, with tons of black humor and his typical pop-cultural scripts. Yeah, I’m always down for some Tarantino until the guy decides to stop doing what he loves the most.

1-. Avengers 4- Joe & Anthony Russo.

Oh boy, this is it. The end of the part we started this on. The conclusion of the last 10 years of build up over a universe that took its time and made us fall in love with. The Avengers against the threat that beat them in the previous film, their ultimate foe: Thanos, but this time, its all or nothing. The stakes are incredibly high and the chances are all against them, but considering this will be 3 hours long and even more heartbreaking-according to the Russo’s, this will be a rollercoaster of a ride for us fans, for all that matters, for better or worse.

O.O omg someone actually did it. alright here we go. this is gonna take a while.

how would you handle living on Berk? well, it would be a huge culture shock for a while, obviously. it would take me a while to get used to not having wifi and running water. but i think in the long run i’d like it! they were simpler times, after all. also adventure. can’t get adventure like that in the 21st century, can we?

how do you think you’d be different if you grew up on Berk? i think my mind wouldn’t be as cluttered. i think i would live a simpler life. i would likely still be enthusiastic and creative and kinda weird, but in a very Viking way.

yaks, chicken, or sheep? um... i guess sheep? i’d probably have one that i’d just hang out with all the time and talk to like it was a cat or something lol

favorite dragon species? don’t ask me that. it’s like trying to pick a favorite cat breed! i don’t care what kind it is just give me all the kitties!!! same with dragons. i love them all.

what type of dragon would you like to ride? is that different from the dragon you’d most likely ride? um... i think i’d like to ride a Triple Stryke or a Deathsong or a Flightmare. something unexpected! but i’d most likely ride a Gronckle; probably all i could handle.

how would your first flight on a dragon turn out? maybe with me flopping down on my back and simultaneously wanting to fly every minute of my life and to never fly again.

on a scale of Snotlout to Hiccup, how are your dragon riding skills? on that scale i am Dagur. just dicking around like a maniac until i figure it out.

would you get into trouble on Berk? it depends. i’m not exactly a daredevil and i’m not an inventor of potentially dangerous weapons. looking at you, hiccup. but no matter how much i try to stay out of the spotlight i manage to do one or two things wrong so yeah i’d probably get into minimal trouble

would you try Astrid's yaknog? yes, out of politeness. then, if i’m brave enough, i’d critique it. without getting punched in the face.

coolest dragon? NIGHTFURY

scariest dragon? the Screaming Death. that thing is freaky. of course i did once make up a giant spider dragon but that’s not canon so it don’t count

most unique dragon? i’d say the Triple Stryke! it’s like a scorpion pokemon and i love it so much

favorite dragon class? uh.... i guess Strike class?

suggest a new dragon species. what does it look like? what are its powers? SPIDER DRAGON!!! well, technically it’s called the Arachnid Vilehide. it looks similar to a Deathsong, only in dark, dull colors with no bright decorations, and it has eight long skinny legs and wings that it can fold into special flaps on its back. also it’s got a couple different venoms; one to put prey to sleep and one to kill prey.

if YOU were a dragon, what would you be? oy. i have no clue. maybe a Terrible Terror.

any underappreciated dragon species you want to give a callout to? GRONCKLES!! they are so sweet and pure and so overlooked!

what do you think Stoick does with all his wooden duck carvings? maybe he’s creating them for his future grandchildren. hehe

the dragon riders can visit anywhere in the world, any place in history. where would you suggest they go? ah....... maybe the Lewis and Clark expedition???? cmon, exploring a mysterious new land? hiccup loves that shit! 

you, Hiccup, Snotlout, and Tuffnut are now roommates in an apartment. how well does this work out? alright i feel like hiccup would be a decent roommate. snotlout and tuffnut on the other hand would not. tuff would probably keep his space fairly contained, but he’d just do a lot of weird shit. i don’t know

you, Astrid, Heather, and Ruffnut are now roommates in an apartment. how well does this work out? alright this would be pretty cool. since we’d all be girls, it wouldn’t be so weird. plus it would be easier for us to bond. girls nights!!

what do you think the dragon riders are like as old women and men? uh... like themselves but.. slower, quieter, and weirder.

which character do you relate the most to? definitely Hiccup. we are both restless explorers. we are both discovering who we are. we are both compassionate, but at the same time take no shit. we are awkward and know we’re a little weirder than everyone else. we are adventurers and stubborn rebels. 

how well do your know your dragon stats? not at all.

who would you want to spend a day with? who would be your best friend? HICCUP.

how would you handle the twins' pranks? Loki'd! i would be very annoyed with them at first. but then as i get used to it i would learn how to retaliate.

you and Snotlout are on patrol together. what happens? Snotlout tries to flirt with me and i ignore him. 

which character would you get along with the least? ah... maybe Snotlout. i don’t know, i kinda get along with everyone so idk

anyone on Berk you'd date?  I hear Bucket is single... maybe ruffnut? she’s so pretty!

axes, swords, hammers, bows and arrows, or maces? i think bows and arrows. i’d suck at close combat!

what would your house look like on Dragon's Edge? homey and cozy. i’d have lots of space for my hobby activities (painting and embroidery, probably) but also special spaces where i have my books, candles, blankets, and pillows just so i can chill there in the evenings. 

what is your favorite house on Dragon's Edge? i think the clubhouse, actually!

what's your favorite island? (outside of Berk) uh i guess Dragon’s Edge? it’s a cool lil place.

favorite villain? i think Viggo. he is definitely one of the most compelling villains i’ve ever seen, and not just in httyd. sad to see him go! i hope he’s not dead.

how would you handle being kidnapped by the Outcasts? i would barely be able to handle it at all. you know, panic and stuff. i’d kinda just hide in wherever the Outcasts put me while i wait for Hiccup to come save my sorry ass.

give the dragon riders superpowers. what can each of them do? um.. Hiccup has actual wings and can fly. Astrid has super strength. the twins can predict anything that will happen in the next hour. i don’t know what the rest of them have, i’m tired

favorite track in the HTTYD or HTTYD 2 OST? i love the track Flying With Mother from httyd2. hiccup is such a mama’s boy!

favorite ship? HICCSTRID. but i also have a soft spot for Dagcup.

YES!!!! i have an OC named Glacier who was once a forager of dragon root for Viggo. eventually she figured out what the dragon root was being used for, so she quit and ended up joining the dragon riders, but not without a lot of hardships along the way. anyways she ends up breaking off completely from her abusers and rising above her fear to defeat them.

suggest a new AU (or mention an AU you like). i’ve recently been getting into a pirates AU! i’ve only just started so it’s really new but i like it a lot

suggest a new crossover (or mention one you like). um idk i’d really like a crossover with Voltron. i think it would be fun!

list off your top three fandoms. now combine them with HTTYD. what would the crossover be like? um, Gravity Falls (a wormhole in time and space makes the dragon riders fall into Gravity Falls), Ghostbusters (the ghosts of the dragon riders are looking for the ghosts of their dragons and the Ghostbusters end up helping them do so), and Voltron (the dragon riders are targeted by Zarkon and Team Voltron protects them).

favorite thing about your favorite character? i love how compassionate Hiccup is. he tries to avoid bloodshed if he can and that’s why he is so pure.

how did you enter the HTTYD fandom? officially? well, it was June 15, 2014. i had just seen httyd2 in theaters with my family. i cried in the theater and i was blown away by how incredible it was. so, as i do when i’m blown away by a movie, i checked out the tag on tumblr. what i found was an amazing fandom filled with such sweet and talented people. that was the day i joined the fandom. 

when did you enter the HTTYD fandom? as i said, June 15, 2014. 

what made you fall in love with How to Train Your Dragon? i think it was the sense of adventure and wonder, and the idea that the person who didn’t expect much of himself and was different from everyone else was the one who changed his entire world. that’s inspiring.

what is something you didn't initially think about but grew to love about HTTYD? probably all the meta that goes with the series. there’s deeper things behind what you initially see. once you see it, it’s beautiful.

what is the BEST thing (to you) about HTTYD and its franchise? the best thing? i’d say it’s the characters. they’re really deeply created. they have flaws, fears, and goals. i just love how they’re written

A Buffalord. Its a dragon that chills out at home eating non stop but freaks out at the thought of doing anything other than that and becomes a raging beast. I can’t think of anything more relatable, haha!

Timberjacks! And Foreverwings! I’m kind of glad the Serpents Heir had those in it; how does no one talk about these dragons, which according to Rise of Berk: have a freaking telepathic connection with Hiccup!!! Why dont we talk more about that?!?!

Ive got two. Timewise: the 60’s. Hiccup’s gotta be at home with all that peace revolution and I’d love to see Ruff and Tuff’s use of the… uh… recreational stuff XD Place wise?: Australia. Have you seen the terrifying critters we’ve got here? IMAGINE THE DRAGONS! D:

Hiccup. Hands down. I’ve never felt more emotionally connected with a fictional character and it would be awesome to get the chance to hang out with him.

If I had to say my next fave tho; honestly, Dagur and Shattermaster are quickly becoming my new faves; I just find it so adorable. All Dagur basically ever wanted was a dragon of his own and to have him be so happy and love Shattermaster so much nearly brought tears to my eyes.

…..THAT IS MEAN D:Hiccup: All I can really see is him as an old man dying by Toothless’ side. Its all I can see. Im almost convinced thats how HTYD3 will end for sure.Astrid: I guess I can see her dying of old ago too (I don’t like thinking of them dying so Ive got boring ideas, leave me alone!), but I can see her being happy with her life and everything that shes got to accomplish in her life, that she’ll die with no regrets. Snotlout: ….well we all know how that happens. Book 11. Am I right guys? *sobs* But I can picture him going down in battle movie!verse too. Getting reckless or protecting one of the other riders. Thuggory-centric Fanfic Announcement!!

Guess what, guys?! I’m now starting a Thuggory-centric fanfic!!! It’s kind of a parody and it’ll be focused on his name. Each chapter will be where Thuggory does or experiences a new thing based on his name. For example, if it’s Thug-gory, then he’ll do something thuggish, or he deals with someone who’s thuggish; if it’s Hug-gory, he hugs people; if it’s Mug-gory, he’s drinking a mug. Etc, etc. Basically, anything that rhymes with ‘thug’ will be part of a parody pun on his name and will have Thuggory go through many situations. *Cue impish chuckles*

But I hope you guys are excited for this as much as I am. I’ve been wanting to do something for Thuggory for a long time. I know that my writing/posting of fanfics has been sporadic, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to write more for this Fandom starting this Autumn. I should be able to get finished writing this within the next couple of weeks. The reason why it’s not sooner is because I’m busy with other projects and also with Life stuff, so I’m unable to get it written sooner. Sorry guys. Anyway, I love you guys and keep your eyes open!
