Muffet design

This is the design for Muffet in my AU, Undyingtale. I decided to change quite a few things about Muffet's original design, opting for a more flexible outfit. The monster soul symbols in this design are on her sleeves rather than her chest, like Undyne, and on her chest is the mark found on Black Widow spiders instead. I decided to keep her hair down, making it choppy and uneven for effect, but kept the little ribbons. Her other pairs of arms have turned into typical spider appendages, which she does use when attacking. I've also opted to exclude her weapon (a chain whip) in this design, in favor of a shot with less action.

This piece was also done on a base I found on google images. Rather than going through the trouble of finding the original creator, here's the base itself. (If anyone knows who the original creator was, feel free to RB with their info)

Undyingtales jour 1-1

Premier jour et deja en retard ! Donc je vais partir sur un the Undying Tales Project comme par le passé. Mais fois 2! :D Il y aura une illustration un peu plus classique et détaillée comme pour mes anciens inktobers où je me pencherai sur les légendes attachée à chaque animal ou plante, ainsi qu'une version sumi-e du même animal/plante. Donc ici nous avons le premier prompt , le chat léopard de Tsushima, et plein de petits bakenekos. Sumie Minute à venir dans la soirée. :)

These are my watercolor sketches for day #11 of the #undyingtalesproject ( swipe to see the #undyingtales mythology behind the ‘Ohi’a Tree, a tree that is threatened due to habitat loss and disease in Hawaii. This tree with it’s gorgeous flowers and fruits grows up from the ashes of volcanos. ( This has to be my favorite topic of this month’s challenge - the tree is breathtaking and the mythology and actual facts about the tree are perfect for the skill set I have. I decided to post what I have so far and will come back to the topic later. Undyne design

This is the design for Undyne in my AU, Undyingtale. Given that Undyne was somebody that already had an Undying form, I didn't change a whole lot. I did switch out her spear for a harpoon, and instead of being a magically conjured weapon, it's a real physical weapon. This is a constant theme in the AU, as is the heart on her armor; White, like a monster soul, but outlined with red determination. This is what monster souls look like in the AU.

And yes, this was done on a base. I'm not sure how to credit the creator, so instead, here it is.

Day 8 Prompt from The Art of Stephanie Law's #UndyingTalesProject - Tibetan Antelope. I'm calling this one "Theophane" as I was very much inspired by Stephanie's mythological link: "Greek mythology: Theophane was a beauty, nymph and grand-daughter of Helios the sun god. Poseidon, god of the sea, was struck by her loveliness. To have her for himself, he spirited her away to an island surrounded and protected by the cerulean swells of the ocean. Even there, her legendary beauty tempted suitors to come and seek her out. To keep the men at bay, Poseidon transformed Theophane into a sheep, one of many among the flocks, and took on the form of a ram for himself. The offspring of Poseidon and Theophane in these forms was a winged ram with fleece of gold. The golden ram was later sacrificed to Poseidon, and its Golden Fleece became an icon of power and kingship. The ancient Greeks wove this tale around a creature of divine and distant origins, and it is possible that Tibetan takin was the inspiration for the golden creature, or Tibetan antelopes, who are even to this day sought out by poachers and killed for the golden fibers and woven into luxury shawls."
