How does Sonic feel about the injustice of it all? Like, no one ever said or did anything for him as an abandoned kid, leading him to believe this was a normal thing, yet now they're all turning around and telling him this is the worst possible thing he could have done? Can he like, counter sue the people of Green Hill (or wherever it is he grew up) for negligence or whatever? And yeah, he did the wrong thing but he truly didn't know any better, and if ignorance isn't a good enough excuse for him then it's not a good enough excuse for anyone else either!
(Also think its a bit unfair that Shadow's not getting punished even tho he not only agreed with Sonic, but actively encouraged his bad decisions...)
As someone stated, he got double trauma when he learned that IT IS NOT NORMAL to leave a child in the wild.
Sonic is actually a very well adjusted person, this has to be one of his biggest if not THE biggest failure of his life.
He thinks of his childhood as full of adventure and challenge, that's when he met tails and all his friends. He really can't think of a different life he could've had.
But he now realizes that in days when it rained or when he fell sick all alone in the forest, there should've been someone taking care of him.

ALRIGHT! What time is it? Debunking time! XDD
This image up here is the original edit made by @/rayactive factory on Twitter 2 years ago. Not a screenshot of a mod or a glitch but an edit.
And this is a cropped image of their edit, reposted by someone else without context less than 2 weeks ago, making people assume this image is really from the game:
The original creator even tried to explain here, and confirmed once again it's an edit:
Unfortunately, the misinformation has spread too far, and I see it being called "a glitch" almost daily on my dash. On the one hand, it is fantastic that this gave rise to such a wave of awesome arts, but on the other hand, the misinfo is pretty unfair to the game (and imho dismissing ray's work as well but that's my personal pet peeve). Like, you don't even have to credit the creator but at least don't mislabel their edit =<
Please share this post so it reaches everyone who has seen this edit and was curious to know where it's from, confused about it or even believed it to be a simple glitch 🙏

You guys ever think about Gerald messing with Shadow’s memories of Maria? How we have nothing other than Shadow’s memories of Maria to know her by. Do you think he changed more than her final wish? Was she really a force of pure good like she is in his memories? Were the blemishes smoothed over, the happy times emphasized just to make Shadow feel her loss all the more sharply? A girl who’s nothing more than a ghost constructed of memories we know are faulty.
Who was Maria?

sitting in my little corner of “as much as i love love love prime bros, i also love the idea of nine being a character to fought so hard to get something, anything, and in the end, he got nothing”
i love me a tragic character who fought so hard to get his happy ending but never did because life just wasn’t fair to him
the cards weren’t in his favor and he lost

Does Nintendo?
I have a scientific thingy in mind.
Take Sonic the Hedgehog 1, the original Genesis version, and get Sonic to achieve his maximum running speed. Now, measure how fast the screen scrolls in pixels or tiles per frame. Use an invincibility cheat or something to not get interrupted and write down the result.
The question: are there any Super NES platform games where you can run at least that fast with the same limitations and measuring system, and a main character at roughly the same scale?
Two games came up when I asked this on one of my Discord servers:
Speedy Gonzales Los Gatos Banditos, to the extent that it has a hack where you play as Sonic.
Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, released on both systems and very much a reason for the invincibility cheat mention.
So all I'd need to answer the title question is a bigger sample size (more games that fit the bill) and their numbers.

Sonic Frontiers The Final Horizon made me the happiest and the most miserable Sonic fan over the 9 hours it took me to beat and I'm not even joking

Average Sonic Unleashed S rank fan:
Average Mega Man X6 Perfect run enjoyer:
Reply: one is an unfair trudging through the filthiest pits of Hell, where nothing but relentless misery and agony await you.
The other is a fun S-rank run.

Bro I’m telling you, sonic and shadow’s dynamic would be so refreshing if they played off of their mutual drive to compete and their shared ability to be little shits more often
Sonic: Bet I can beat you up that skyscraper!
Shadow: I’m already at the top.
Sonic: Wha—
Shadow: *chaos controls*
LET THEM HAVE THE LIGHTHEARTED RIVALRY FROM TIME TO TIME REVEAL SHADOWS COMPETITIVENESS THROUGH LIGHTHEARTED FUN

sorry im glad amy is gonna be playable in sonic origins now thats literally what i was asking for but im still tired of how she just seems to be an afterthought in segas mind when it comes to classic sonic stuff. like yeah she didnt do much back in the classic era i guess but neither did mighty and ray and they were made playable in sonic mania plus when amy wasnt in it at all. and then they didnt put her in sonic mania adventures outside of the one off christmas special. and then they only made her playable in sonic origins as paid dlc even when tails and knuckles were playable in games theyre not even in in the base game. stop disrespecting amy like this
