NEAL: The first time I spent more than 30 seconds talking to Jimmy was probably two or three days after in Chicago, when we were in the Ambassador East Hotel. I had to take, let’s say, some more “intimate” photos for an article about Led Zeppelin coming out in a magazine called People. I took pictures of Jimmy getting his white suit ready for the next concert and sitting on a couch with his Wailers records, and he showed me his rings and that’s how all of those photos came about.

i feel the midwest is at the onset of a new wave of young liberals coming here because the coasts are too expensive and non-coastal typically liberal places like colorado and asheville are also too expensive so to the midwest they come and it’s very interesting to see happen. the younger generation is largely more liberal but the native midwesterners are largely older and conservative and it’s an interesting mix. local politics will be interesting in the next few years
