People will be like 'oh you go to uni, you must be smart!' mate, I've never met people with less common sense than uni students. Though what else would you expect when you stick a load of sleep deprived, overwhelmed, young adults together

#Uni shenanigans #yeah sure i can write you an essay no problem will it make an grammatical sense? no. #is that because i wrote it in the early hours of the morning the day of the dealine? absolutely. #do i understand the necessity of a balanced diet and throwing away out of date food? yes. #does the majority of the student populace ignore this? also yes but thats to be expected when poor budgeting leads to low grocery funds #listen am i well aware of the importance of proper time management? of course i am #and yet i continue to make the dumbest decisions imaginable causing myself unbearable levels of stress #because i am an adult child left alone to my own devices and #school prepared me real well for taking exams but not for taking care of myself in a way that isnt at least a lil self destructive #wouldnt believe the kinds of things i deem optional when i have a task to do cus putting myself last has been hammered into me my whole life

I just sent my literary criticism professor probably the weirdest email I've sent anyone yet (but given the anecdotes she tells about her life in class, not the weirdest she's ever received) telling her about the Baudrillard-esque phenomenon of Goncharov. We really are out here creating the best example of simulacra to date on tumblr.com. Can't wait for her reply, she's gonna love this.

The problem is that maybe she'll want me to explain the bit to the class and I'm not ready to stand up in front of all the 5 people that attend literary criticism and expose myself like this. someone in our uni made this instagram account dedicated to reviewing soups served in our mess and has dedicatedly reviewed all those soups on these categories:

mouth feel

throat feel

and then rated the soups out of 5.

it is so funny and interesting. anyways soups in the mess mostly suck do we just buy instant soup packets from convenience store to make in our rooms.

How's uni going? I'm glad you asked. Well I have a lab portfolio due at 4pm on the 10th of April that is worth a 100% of my grade for that class. I was planning on doing it tomorrow and pulling an all nighter before realising, at half 3 in the morning as I settled down to sleep, that the all nighter would have to be tonight because it is due tomorrow. I also have to submit 20 pieces of evidence including pictures and unfortunately I typically don't bring my phone into the lab so have limited pictures so have just had to retrieve a snapchat of myself as photographic evidence of me adherring to correct lab PPE 😐 because that's all I have an it didn't occur to me take pictures of myself in gloves and goggles! So yeah that's how it's going and I feel great about my decisions right now
