I think about Ernest Frankenstein a lot because he's the one surviving member of the family and the sole heir to the Frankenstein estate. He also is the only one who can pass Frankenstein genes down so that movies like *Young Frankenstein* can exist.

He's also adorable in my opinion, because he was sick as a child, and now he's better and trying to find his way in the world. And he hates school and I just think that's sweet. But also his family is trying to decide for him what his career path should be, so that's a little sad.

My point being, Ernest is a little behind on his education. It doesn't seem like he has any of his own prospects, and as far we know his family is his only support system. He seems pretty vulnerable. And then his little brother dies while *he* was playing a game with him: seems like that might mess a person up. And then his family friend dies, ok. We don't know if he grieves, but let's go on.

His older sister, a critical member of his support system, goes and gets married. She's going to be out of the house at least. But then she gets hardcore murdered, and then Alphonse, their father, dies soon after that.

All Ernest has now is Victor, his adult brother. That is his only known family, his only support, his only safety net. And then Victor leaves his 16-year-old brother, behind developmentally, at home when he goes on his revenge spree. HE LEFT ERNEST ALONE, BY HIMSELF. Victor didn't for a moment consider his little brother, didn't even mention him when he went off to DIE in a foolish little revenge girls' trip that he wasn't going to win.

And I very well know that Victor was mentally ill. I understand that he was grieving and had actually been institutionalized. This isn't a Victor hatepost.

I'm just saying, the man abadoned his creation thoughtlessly, and we all know how that went. So now he abandons his little brother, the forgotten middle child, the only one who didn't die, to do god knows what with god knows what consequences.

And Victor talks about how he loves his family. He doesn't want to be separated from them. He doesn't want them dead. He grieves them. But Ernest is still alive. Ernest is still alive and I bet he grieves too. And he's your family and I sure he loves you and you both could support each other. Don't abandon him. He deserves better.

hey! i was rereading dlb for what feels like the millionth time now and i saw it was published on the 31st of july of 2019. so, happy four year anniversary! it’s such a great story and the fact that you’ve managed to continuously deliver such a fantastic and wonderful work for four!! years!!! straight!!!!!!! is honestly mind blowing. i’ve been along the ride from nearly the very beginning and i don’t think i can explain how much i love this fic (but probably my friends can since i talk about about it all the time). also, i’m not a native english speaker, and the amount of vocabulary i learnt from dlb is insane. so i guess thank you for the love and effort you put into dlb <3 i love it and i look forward to whatever you have planned for it

tbh I never know what to expect when posting a fic. I think the one that surprised me the most is the one I'm working on now, "Whoops". I had assumed Starjack was kind of a rarepair, since it hasn't gotten a lot of love in a while. Plus the g1 nature of the pairing made me feel like people wouldn't like it for some reason lol. But its almost completely overshadowed Taking it Further, beating it in almost every stat, I mean it has half the amount of chapters as TIF but it has 18k views compared to TIF which ENDED it's run at 10k lmao y'all really like Starjack XD

🤍what's one fic of yours you think people didn't "get"?

oof thats a toughie, I feel like it's more on my own writing style if people don't 'get' my fics. If I'm not clear enough or if my writing just isn't good enough then I'll lose people. Maybe my pacing is off or the characters aren't just right, there's a lot of places where I can lose people and fic is very personal. I'd say the one I put the most heart into and just didn't quite nab readers attention with was Unintended Consequences. I was going for a slice of life turned into a thriller but I think I just over embellished in places that didn't need it and its made it into a monster of a fic lmao. I'm glad for the people who have enjoyed it though AND I promise I will finish it lmao

Yeah, this movie on rewatch just... This movie resonated WAY too hard in so many ways that I know weren’t intended and my overthinking brain won’t rest.

Why do I want Ritch and the Recoms to get out of the RDA’s clutches to live as free individuals and yet I let her stay? 

I know they aren’t real, but that only makes the cognitive dissonance harder to stomach. I try to be as objective as I can in every decision I make. But that one still burns in my mind years later and TWOW has me confronting a lot of things about myself head on in so many ways.
