I'm so baffled by the take that "we didn't need higher production value" from watcher purely because of puppet history

guys, puppet history was the spiritual successor to the hot daga and ruining history, two "shows" which were cancelled by buzzfeed because they were too expensive to make. and that was while Ryan and Shane were making one of their best performing shows

watcher has always explicitly been about higher production value not getting in the way of creativity. you mightve been okay with yellow and blue text on a black background, but watcher fans made puppet history one of their most iconic and successful shows
