Take a Taste: with Mang Inasal's Chicken Inasal - Pecho (Chicken Breast) [Recorded: Mar 26th, 2024]

Hello! It’s time for another “Take a Taste”! The series is about delicious food with my two paper dolls.

Aww yeah, another round of going "Mang Inasal" restaurant? Yes, please! 😋 This Time, I'm invited with my parents at the different Mang Inasal branch, on Mar 26th, 2024. 🏢🍴 However, once again, I broke the rules for not eating meat this year's "Holy Week", so please forgive me. 😔 Nevertheless, here's my review of Mang Inasal's famous dish, the "Chicken Inasal", particularly the "Breast" part (in Tagalog we called it "Pecho" [pi-cho]) I ordered 🍴🍗. And let's not forget, the "Unlimited Rice" (or "Unli Rice" for short)! ➕🍚🤤 So will I satisfied with my order as my previous one? 🤔 Let's find out, right now! 😀

• Here's what "Chicken Inasal" looks like in all of its perfect serving 🇵🇭🍗; let alone the slightly mess on my "Unli Rice" green plate. Plus, let's not forget the free warm 'Tamarind Soup' 🇵🇭 🫘 🥣, as well as the condiments that we mentioned in my previous topic, in Jan 2024. *Sniff* (2x) Can you smell the burning charcoal goodness, you two? I bet you are! 🍴🍗🍚🤤 Unfortunately, I didn't get the "Unlimited Java Rice" (over the owing to a different menu. That's all right, I should make another plan, someday. 🤷‍♀️

BTW: We decided to drink water over soda for budget reason. 🥛💧

• Anyway, normally I used cutlery as my main purpose for three meal servings (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner), both at home and at food-related establishments. Just like you're doing it daily. 🍴 However, for this day, it's time to get my hands on the traditional "Filipino Way"! 😁 That's right! We Filipino blood (like myself) use our human hand/hands as our traditional cutlery, whether there's a meal on the plate or a meal on the large banana leaf. The latter was another traditional "Filipino Way" called the "Boodle Fight". 🇵🇭🤲🍚🍗🐟😋 "It's a meal that dispenses with cutlery and dishes. Diners instead practice kamayan and eat straight off the table unlike typical instances of eating with the hands of individual plates", according to my rapid research. 🔍🌐

• Thankfully, I have my recorded video shot at 60fps for the FIRST TIME! 🎦⏺️📱😃 Also, my first muted video sound because it is super noisy inside, even in ✝️ "Holy Week" ⛪. Okay, it's actually two videos I recorded, so I combined them into one (using Filmora 9). 🙂

• All video aside, here's me using my single right hand as my cutlery after I washed my hands (before recording). You can see, I'm picking a small amount of grilled chicken with my bare fingers before I dip in some chicken oil I put some small amount of rice, and shove it through my mouth. It is super DELICIOUS! 🍗🍚🤤 I also doing it again, this time I'm dipping a fuse of chicken oil and some soy sauce! Yum-yum! 😋 Yeah, it could be messy and I should request plastic gloves, but I simply can't help myself without wearing plastic gloves. As for the "Unli Rice", I requested two rounds of steamy rice from the food server before I was done eating and sipping a little tamarind soup, and then I coughed. 😫 I'll be fine, though. 😅

• Overall? Just like before, it was satisfied our taste buds from eating a Chicken Inasal Pecho with Unlimited Rice! Which, by the way, I decided to take home my leftover grilled chicken for any day meal. 🍗😊 And, what can I say? Chicken Inasal did everything right for the past decades, and they never stopped serving the Philippine people (like us)! 🇵🇭🍗😋

• As for the asking price? It cost ₱199 ($3.49) 💵 w/ "Unlimited Rice" included. However, if you want a single shot of steamy rice and not a "Unlimited Rice", then it cost ₱164 ($2.87) 💵 for Solo choice. To me "Rice is Life", so I'm definitely gonna order a meal with "Unlimited Rice". 🍗🍚➕😋

Me and My Friends

This day was one of the happiest things that ever happened in my life because I was with Carlo and Casandra eating outside and wondering around. Even though we piled on projects and other school works. We still managed to have fun and go everywhere and going to the place where we often eat, it is located at Acacia Boulevard in Concolacion, Cebu. You can buy a lot of food here; it's a kind of food court that usually sells meat and seafood. People who come here will not miss what they are looking for or what they often eat; this is what they call it, "Tuslob Buwa." This is a type of food that is popular in this food court; it has become popular because it is delicious and can be eaten with friends and family. It's a meal with pork brain mixed with flour, soy sauce, sauteed garlic and onion, and the soup. It's easy to cook or serve; just stir the onion and garlic, mixed with the chili, of course, because I love spicy food, then add the pork brain and pour the soup. Next is the flour, which you just mix slowly, then pour the last ingredient, but the soy sauce, after mixing, can be enjoyed; it became tuslob buwa. Its name comes from the fact that you dip the rice in its boiling broth. People continue to flock to this food court because it's delicious, so what are you waiting for? Tell your friends, family, or partner to come at Acacia Boulevard and taste their delicious food that you will definitely not regret for 150 with unli tuslob buwa and a free drink and 30 rice, what are you waiting for? CCYG in IL Terrazo Serves One of the Best Unli Korean BBQs in Town

There are so many new unlimited barbecue places that have popped up in the city the last few years, but most of them often look and feel the same, especially since these are usually local brands. Even their menu items look similar, with just the basic samgyupsal pork dishes being featured. But I just recently dined at this trendy Unli Korean barbecue restaurant in Tomas Morato that really gives its guests high quality items at very affordable prices, aside from it being a very popular franchise in Korea.

CCYG or Chung Choon Yeon Ga 청춘연가 is a relatively new name in the market, having opened back in late 2019 just before the global pandemic started. CCYG is one of the best BBQ brands in Korea so we are all happy to see it now here in the Philippines. You can find the restaurant at the ground floor inside the IL Terrazo Mall along Tomas Moratos in Quezon City.

My friends and I visited CCYG last Friday afternoon to celebrate the coming long weekend. CCYG is open from 11:00am to 9:00pm on weekdays and up to 10:00pm on weekends.

Chung Choon Yeon Ga literally means “young sweet love” which is probably why it is so popular in Korea. It was awarded as the Most Outstanding Korean Specialty Restaurant Award by Asian Sterling Award in 2021, so I am excited to finally be trying this multi-awarded franchise.

The CCYG branch in IL Terrazo is somewhat like a celebrity hangout spot, especially with big network studios just within this area. You can expect to find various personalities dining here whenever you visit. You can even read some of their testimonials right here on the wall.

My friends had already dined here before and they kept saying that this is not just your ordinary Korean Bbq restaurant. For only P599 per person, guests can enjoy unlimited beef, chicken, pork, and special side dishes that I don’t usually see in other barbecue restaurants. This also includes rice and iced tea so everything you need is right here.

We started with a medley of their banchan or Korean side dishes. This includes the always present Kimchi which you can find in all Korean restaurants. There’s also marbled potatoes, fish cake, pickled vegetables, and more.

They also come with special side dishes like Jap-Chae glass noodles which I really like, and Tteok-Bokki or spicy rice cakes.

You can also order some pizza for your side dishes. Choose from among Bulgogi Jeon, Seafood Jeon, and Kimchi Jeon, or better yet, try all three variants. Just make sure you don’t get too full with all the appetizers and side dishes because the main event is still coming.

The highlight at any unli Korean barbecue are, of course, the meats. CCYG offers unlimited servings of premium pork, beef, and chicken with different flavors to choose from.

We first ordered a combination of each item which was served in this meat tower for easier access. There’s the Daepae Samgyupsal on top, Beef Belly in the middle, and Salt-Grilled Chicken at the bottom.

You can order as many plates as you wish as long as you can finish them, so we also ordered the Galbi Seasoning Beef Belly which is seasoned with their special galbi sauce. I always prefer getting more of the beef items at korean barbecue restaurants.

For spicy food lovers, there’s also the Gochujiang Beef Bulgogi with a little spicy kick.

What makes CCYG special is their griller which has space for these two delicious items, the Egg Omelette and the Cheese. You won’t find these special items often at other restaurants, but CCYG doesn’t just give you any type of cheese, but puts Cream Cheese with Mozzarella.

I really love eating grilled beef so I cooked these first. The beef were tender and flavorful, and we quickly finished our first plate of gorgeous beef. For those who want their barbecued meats with rice, instead of just ordering a plain bowl of rice, CCYG gives you these Rice Balls which are also grilled tabletop. Now you can grill your rice balls together with the meats according to your liking.

We really enjoyed their juicy chicken, so we also ordered the Honey Galbi Chicken and the Gochujiang Chicken to give these a try. CCYG’s chicken items are really a cut above the rest.

Pork lovers will definitely not be left behind because CCYG offers Chung Choon Samgyupsal, Doenjang Pork, Gochujiang Pork, and the Galbi Seasoning Pork among others. The waiters are very quick to refill your meat plates, so just ask them whatever you like on your tables next.

Dip your beef, chicken, or pork in the river of cream cheese to get the ultimate Korean barbecue combo. I was the designated “chef” for the day but I didn’t mind cooking for my friends who all eagerly devoured their meats.

If you want to keep things “healthier”, enjoy your meats wrapped inside their lettuce leaves which is how the Koreans eat their barbecues. I still prefer having rice though, but that’s no problem because everything here is unlimited.

For bigger groups, go for their Rainy Day promos and have a Samgyupsal Party with the 5+1 Group Promo or the 4+1 Birthday Promo in case one of your friends in celebrating their birthday within the month. "Deception and perfection go hand in hand, Jevil was both 'til he took a stand-" He cuts off the rhyme abruptly, and grasps at his throat. Taking a few unsteady gulps of air as he tries to speak again. It's clearly taking a ton of effort, he's struggling under the immense weight of Something on his voice.

"No! What I want to say is-." He cuts off again, and his voice turns singsong.

"It's all in a fizz, your answers in a quiz, quiz!" There's an air of frustration in his eyes. It turns to a snarl.

"Nowise, I cannot tell you unlies- HRK." His teeth clamp together involuntarily, when he speaks again it's in that singsong high voice.

"We sat alone on the bottom rung, 'til I got a tongue. Now you act a fool or I will be cruel. There's no place for a soundless Ghoul." Is he...talking to himself? The way his eyes twitch, like they're trying to look at each other...

Jevil makes a sound that's somewhere between a scream and a laugh, like he can't decide which one to do. He buries his face in his mittens and takes a long, shuddering breath.

Fly Pig offers unlimited samgyupsal at a price range between 380php-480php depending on the kind of meat you choose. But not only that, there is also a wide variety of other Filipino and Korean dishes, which perfectly go well with the unlimited samgyupsal.

What I really like about that place is, the price is affordable but they offer a lot of food. It’s rare to find a place that offers a lot with an affordable price. Also, the food in their buffet is not always the same, they change from dish to dish so it’s not boring. The ambiance is nice, it’s not gloomy like other restaurants.

I would really recommend this place to people who wants to enjoy both Filipino and Korean cuisine but at the same time, not paying a fortune for it.

Good day everyone!! I just want to share this with you guys! Recently, we ate at a restaurant called K-BAE-BOY, it has unlimited bbq and unli cheese!! We enjoyed eating here at K-BAE-BOY, their burger pattie is a must try!! They have different marinated meats to choose from and you can choose what u want in their buffet.

We want to thank Ma'am Alzen Ecaldre and their staff for assisting us. Me and my friends @simpaos-blog @hiyashinsu15 really enjoyed it and we recommend to try their burger pattie and curry pork belly!!

Fly Pig Unli KBBQ & Buffet restaurant is a Korean Restaurant started in 2019.

FLY PIG serves an authentic and deliciously cooked quality foods such includes, (UNLI) Korean BBQ with over 20 FREE Buffet sides & drinks. They have a wide variety of foods served, such as Filipino foods and Korean Foods and their Best Seller which is the “chadol,” a thinly sliced beef brisket that is rolled and put in the grill that tastes delicious. They also offer some services for events such as parties and birthdays.

So our experience about the restaurant was very nice, the staffs were very accommodating to let us film and review about their restaurant. In terms of the place, it is very easy to find where they are located. The place has a silent ambiance, and if you are a Korean fan or a K-pop fan this place is great to visit since they have a pictures on the wall of some Korean groups that are widely known. The buffet section was very delicious, it has combination of Filipino foods and Korean foods, if you are a spicy lover well this is the best place to try their Korean foods like tteokboki and spicy chicken feet. The Unli KBBQ was very good too, it is a new experience to us but we enjoyed it very much. The meats were very tasty and savoring.

So the unlimited buffet and kbbq is very affordable for only Php 378 on weekdays and Php 398 for weekends and holidays. They also have desserts and appetizers on buffet too. The restaurant for us is very good and we will recommend this for all people and teenagers who are on budget.

Chapter 11 of Stoppable Family Vacation

Chapter 11 - Day 1: Rambling On

Kim then knocked on the door.

"Aunt Ednel! Can I come in! It's me, one of your niece-in-laws, Kim Stoppable?"

Ednel was in her early 50s and had black hair and blue eyes. She tied her hair back in a ponytail. She was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt, a truckers hat that had the American flag on it, and, like her daughter, was also wearing dark denim men's overalls that were slightly too big for her. To make things more awkward for Kim, she intentionally had the hooks go up and down against the buttons.

She had been divorced from her husband for eight years now because of an extra-marital affair.

"Come in, dear!" Ednel insisted,"And can you bring Ronald and the kids in too? I'll get Wilbur!"

"I'll certainly call them!" Kim replied. She came through the back door of the house and then travel thru the kitchen to get to the front.

"Ron, you can bring in the kids now!" she called out to her husband.

"Okay, KS!" Ron said as he instructed his kids to go into the house.

_ Ednel went into the room where Wilbur Donna was at. He was in his mid 80s and wearing a button-down shirt and brown pants that sometimes fall down to his ankles. His hair was thinning gray. He was the father of Ron's mom. The only other Stoppable grandparent that was alive at the time was Grandma Josephine Stoppable on his dad's side and she too was in her mid 80s.

"I'm coming down..." Wilbur replied in a shaky voice, "Is it Reginald who's here?"

"No, Dad! It's actually your grandson, Ron!" Ednel replied, "Reginald was the grandfather on his dad's side who passed away two years ago!"

"Oh yes...the grandson that loses his pants all the time." Wilbur replied, and, as he stood up, his pants fell down, showing off his Depends.

"Dad...there are young children here. I would suggest to you to put a belt on!" Ednel warned him.

"You don't tell me what to do..." Wilbur crankily said, "I am your father, you know!"

Ednel grunted. "Sure you do!"

Wilbur shuffled around with his pants down around his ankles for a belt.

Ednel sighed, Someday, I'm going to have to put him in a home.

All the Stoppables, Rufus, Ednel, and Mary were at the dining room table.

"So when is Canna going to be here?" Kim asked to Mary.

"She's expected to come here within the next few minutes." Mary said.

"Did you run into any incidents along the way, dear?" Ednel questioned while sipping on her coffee.

"Ron accidentally locked Justin in the van...again..." Kim replied.

"Those khakis had a defective belt loop!" Ron countered, "I am going to have to take them back to Smarty-Mart!"

"So what's with the...shed...over there?" Kim asked while sipping on her glass of water, referring to the other structure.

"Oh that? That is our pot farm!" Ednel replied, her right buckle slipping off the bib of her overalls.

Rufus squeaked the word, "Pot?"

Kim nearly spat out her water upon hearing that before she swallowed it.

"I thought that was illegal under federal law!" she exclaimed, putting the glass down.

"It still is, yes." Ednel replied calmly, "But it's left up to the states and, as you know, it's legal to grow pot in Colorado, both recreational and medicinal!"

"Has been since 2014!" Mary added.

"I tell you, Kim..." Ednel said, "...people are changing their minds on weed!"

"But doesn't it...?" Kim asked before Ednel cut her off again.

"Weed can lessen exteme pain!"Ednel replied on the benefits, "Stoners are usually easygoing and funny unlie those cocaine and ecstasy users."

Kim was getting a little impatient, "Aunt Ednel, I would love to stay for three hours for an anti-drug lecture, but we have to hit the road pretty soon. We are on a very tight schedule."

"Okay, but be sure to take Mary and..."Ednel began before Canna arrived with her suitcase.

She was a young woman in her early 20s wearing a purple top, silver hoop earrings, and, like her best friend, was also wearing one-strap dark denim baggy overalls that were slighly too big for her 120-lb frame. Unlike her best friend, she also wore combat boots tucked into the overalls.

"Hey, Canna!" Mary exclaimed excitedly.

"Hey, girl, what's up?" Canna asked while hugging her BFF.

"Not much, girl. I'm ready to try and eat as much tofu at the Lipskys as you!" Canna said.

Observing how the two young women were wearing their overalls, Kim decided to unhook the right strap of her leather overalls and leave the left one hooked up. Of course, the only downside is that, being that they were quite baggy, the left strap may slip off her shoulder. The metal undone strap buckle clinked against the chair.

"Wow! KS? Are you going wild?" Ron questioned with a smirk.

"Maybe...maybe not!" Kim giggled, "As long as the overalls do not fall off my..." Then she looked at her kids, making sure to watch her language. "...rear."

"You got everything packed?" Canna asked.

"Sure I do! Just lemme get my birkenstocks and moccsasins and we'll be ready to go!" Mary said before Wilbur interrupted.

"We have to hurry in order to make it to Bueno Nacho!" Ron said, looking at the time on his watch.

"Ewwww...I don't wanna eat there!" Mary whined.

"Why not?!" Ron questioned.

"Huh?" Rufus squeaked.

"Mary and Canna are both extreme vegans." Canna replied. "We don't eat or drink anything that comes from animals."

"Ah, that's explainable." Ron admitted.

Wilbur came to the table slowly shuffling along with his cane and said, "And that reminds me of the time that I bought the very first television set for the Stoppable Family!"

"Oh no!" Kim groaned to herself, "Here we go again."

"It was the year of 1952 with Eisenhower entering into the Oval Office. I was the one who created the slogan of 'I Like Ike!'. It kinda rhymes when you think about it. Which brings me to the time I bought pencils from Jernigan's General Store. They used to cost about seven cents per pencil and I told him it was highway robbery..."

(30 minutes later)

The other family members, and Rufus, excluding Ednel, were about half-asleep when Wilbur continued his story.

"...but I bought meat from the grocery store that day. And a slicer in those days was called a meat grinder. I always wanted to buy a meat grinder to make my own fresh bacon from pigs. But that mean old Sanders had to take it away from me for about rickety-three miles which in those days was called forty..."

(30 more minutes later)

"...and that's how pigs learn to play with their own shit."

And all of the family members, except for Ednel, fell asleep.

"Oh man, I did it again. Ednel, dear, can you wake them up?" Wilbur asked in his gravely voice.

"Of course I will, Dad!" Ednel replied as she got up. The undone right overalls strap was still on her shoulder. She got out an airhorn and blew it, waking everyone up.

"Huh? Where was I?" Kim asked.

"Awww man! I was dreaming of the most perfect Naco ever!" Ron complained.

Kim felt her stomach beginning to growl, "Speaking of that, we gotta hit the road now! It's almost 2pm!"

"Okay dears..." Ednel sighed, "My bad if Dad got onto his ramblings again."

"Oh, it's no big, Aunt Ednel!" Kim replied "We all get a little talkative every now and then!"

"But where are Mary and Canna going to sleep?" Ednel replied.

"They can sleep in the camper in the trailer." Kim said.

(1:50pm)

"Y'all come back now, you hear!" Ednel waved good-bye to both Kim and Ron as they got back into the Stoppable-mobile and headed back to Interstate 76 and to continue the journey.

Little did they realize was that one of Bonnie's Spy Flies was watching them.

Back at her mansion, the Queen was cackling wildly!

"So, Stoppables, you picked up a couple new losers to join your little vacation, huh? Well, we'll just see about that!"

One of her servants, Servant 79, came to the Queen's throne room.

"Your Majesty, the Stoppables are headed to the Colorado-Nebraska state line." he said while bowing to her presence, "Shall we unleash the 'secret weapon' on them?"

"Not yet!" the Queen instructed, "Wait until they go to South Dakota. THAT is where the 'weapon' will be unleashed!"
