so who are these ocs? What’s going on with them? They seem pretty cool
Awe thank you!!!
These characters are for a project me and a friend has been discussing. It's still unnamed, definitely a work in progress and everything's subject to change (and has previously)! I'm hoping to make it into a podcast at some point or another media if I can't pull it off as a podcast.
The watered-down premise has to do with aspects of dreams, how they influence people and our perception. All wrapped up in a Sleep Study that is more then it appears to be.
I don't want to give too much away. But I can introduce you to the main cast;
Tumblr media
From left to right we have Griffin, Furkan(Khan), Bo, Ophelia and Tou.
Each of them signs up for the study for different reasons and hoping to find a solution to their problems, but also because the study pays well!
Also cause I can I'm gonna give a fun fact about each of them!
Griffin spends more time perfecting his look than either of his sisters combined and is always late because of it.
Khan while looking like a snarky asshole is actually very kind and willing to help others, but he is still a bit of an asshole and is liable to complain.
Bo has a bit of a strained relationship with their family and spends alot of their time helping out at a community garden. Though won't admit to it unless they are comfortable with you.
Ophelia was terrified of the Disney film Alice in Wonderland as a child, and though she denies it, the film still makes her uneasy as an adult.
Tou may be the most put together now but she had quite a rocky period a few years back, but is now in a healthier state and happily married to her former neighbor Shirley with her son Marc.
I hope you enjoyed this lil sneak peak!

So I saw a few things about Norman Reedus doing a podcast that some people didn't like. I had to find it. It's on Spotify...Lipp Service with Scott Lipps.
They talked about a lot of little things...TWD, DD spinoff, other projects, fans, and Nova. The Nova stories are so cute. Nothing new about his projects, but he did mentioned he wanted new writers for the spinoff. And I don't see that as a bad thing. He wanted some French writers which makes sense when the show is filmed in France, takes place in France, and they would want to bring in writers that know the culture and locations and people.
Also about the fans... It didn't seem that negative unless you felt called out for bad behavior. He couldn't even use a public bathroom in peace. Dick out at a urinal is not the time to ask for a picture with him. And it's rude--especially when the man is already with someone--to want him to date an unnamed actress because they worked together and be upset that they aren't dating. I know I would be pissed off if people keep insisting I should be with someone else when I'm perfectly happy in my current relationship.
Actors are people who just want to do normal things without being mugged constantly. Let them be unless they look open to interact with you. As he said, people think they know him because he's been on TWD for 11 years...been on other things. That's not the same as knowing him personally.

Past and Present: Cheryl Dunye’s The Watermelon Woman
Last year, Special Collections and Archives at the University of Iowa Libraries acquired items to form a new collection: the Black Film and Television Collection. In honor of Black History Month, we’re shining a spotlight on a different item from this collection each week.
In yesterday’s post, we discussed the original script for 1971’s Shaft, a defining entry in the Blaxploitation genre. Our final spotlight shines on a unique photo book from 1996, when Cheryl Dunye’s The Watermelon Woman attempted to excavate the history of queer Black women on screen.
Cheryl Dunye and New Queer Cinema
With The Watermelon Woman, Dunye became the first Black lesbian to direct a feature film. This movie belongs to a genre that came to be called New Queer Cinema, a movement in independent film during the 1990s that placed queer characters at the center.
The film was critically acclaimed and regarded as one of the foundational films of the genre, and it was added to the Library of Congress’ National Film Registry in 2021.
It also gave new momentum to Dunye’s career in film and television, which continues to this day. Her recent directing credits include The Umbrella Academy, Bridgerton, and Queen Sugar.
Unnamed & Uncredited
The Watermelon Woman stars writer and director Cheryl Dunye as an aspiring documentarian who works at a video rental store. Dunye’s fictional proxy, also named Cheryl, is fascinated by the history of Black women in film, particularly those who went unnamed and uncredited for roles portraying the racist archetypes that were common in the cinema of the 1930s and 40s.
In the movie, Cheryl embarks on a journey to discover the name of Black actress only identified as “The Watermelon Woman.” She eventually uncovers the woman’s real name, Fae Richards, and discovers that she, too, was a queer woman.
A Supplementary Archive
Fae Richards may be a fictional character, but she stands for countless queer Black people whose stories have been omitted from the record. Artist Zoe Leonard, in collaboration with Cheryl Dunye, created The Fae Richards Photo Archive, a series of 82 images that document the life of this fictional character. From candid shots, family photos, and publicity pictures, every image matches a time and place of this character. As the Whitney Museum of American Art explains, “Leonard acknowledges the project’s artifice, encouraging the viewer to recognize that she had to create a story that is fictional, but rings true, because the real life counterparts of such stories went undocumented.”
This statement demonstrates exactly why many archives are, or need to, work to fix the mistakes of the past. As a school with a rich screenwriting history, it is why the University of Iowa Libraries is actively working to collect more stories from Black cinema.
A Century of Black Film
During this series, we’ve looked at four iconic examples of Black filmmaking. But that’s not to say that the work of Black filmmakers can be reduced to four eras, or that the films we discussed are more important than those that didn’t make this list. There’s so much more to discover in the Black Film and Television Collection, and if you’ve enjoyed this blog series, we encourage you to check out what’s available online. As The Watermelon Woman attests, the preservation of these stories, and the names and lives behind them, is vital and rewarding work.
--Natalee Dawson, Communication Coordinator at UIowa Libraries, with assistance from Liz Riordan, Anne Bassett, and Jerome Kirby

I think that Evelyn and Mirage bring out the best and the worst in each other in turns
Part of the appeal of the ship for me at least is that I think that there's a lot of mystery surrounding Mirage as a character and her motivations while she was working for Syndrome.
She's got these really distinct lines regarding human life that aren't entirely clear or at all explained. She's really upset about the jet explosion with Helen and the kids but is aware of and enables all the intimate details of the Superhero genocide plot with Syndrome.
She is very heavily composed and plays things very close to her chest, unlike Syndrome we don't get any sort of flash back scene or monologues discussing her involvement and motivation in the operation. She's super competent at what she does and goes unnoticed in Bob's insurance office at the start of the film and is crucial in convincing Bob and probably every other super to go off to Nomanisan and die fighting Omnidroids. And why?
It's never explained.
She is in five minutes of the film but is one of the most important characters in it.
Let's get into what she does do. She's critical to the operations of project Kronos. She does recon, spying on Bob and Lucius and blending in to the office to track them and communicate back to Syndrome and pick their next victim.
She reaches out to them, and feeds him the lie about being a top secret government agency, testing out an "experimental robot". The government agency bit is debatable, but the experimental robot is an outright lie. There is no way that Mirage is as involved as she is with Kronos and considers her work to not be about death battles with superheros.
She finds Mr. Incredible when Helen activates the honing signal. This means that she's had access to the computer room all along, further evidence of her knowing involvement in Project Kronos.
We next see her when Bob is trapped in Syndrome's energy torture device, sitting at one of the two control chairs with a different flunky that is in the uniform that we see all the other cronies in. Both of their podiums are identical, with the unnamed technician being directed to torture Mr. Incredible throughout the scene by Syndrome pointing to him.
It's not entirely clear to what extent Mirage is ok with the torture that's going on in the cell but it's clearly not a deal breaker despite Syndrome not asking her to do it this time because she could easily be doing so from her desk.
Syndrome reaches over her to launch missiles at Helen and the kids and we get to hear Mirage at her most upset when she says that the hit was confirmed, no survivors. So she has the capability to launch missiles for her boss but again, Syndrome wouldn't ask her to launch them at kids.
Despite believing Syndrome to have murdered children Mirage still pushed him away from Bob, at great risk to herself.
So there's possibly romantic relationship with Syndrome but eh? We don't get a lot of scenes with them together and while it's pretty visible from his perspective, he's very physical while trying to reassure her that he has the situation under control, she just seems disgusted by this. This is the only moment we see them be at all physically intimate.
But there is one other moment that I think indicates some level of intimacy between them. Right after Mr. Incredible threatens to crush her, Syndrome taunts his old hero.
"Mirage drops to the floor. Syndrome looks at Bob and sneers.
SYNDROME:I knew you couldn't do it. Even when you have nothing to lose. You're weak. I've outgrown you."
Mirage is following Syndrome out of the room while he says this and her eyes widen when she hears this.
This kind of ambiguous moment leads to the incredible scene where she tells him off for what he did to her.
Mirage: Valuing life is not weakness
Syndrome: Oh hey look, if you're talking about what happened in the containment unit, I had everything under control.
Mirage: And disregarding it is not strength.
She has more total moments of flirtation with Bob, but we can infer that much of the flirtation with Bob is a ruse, part of the Omnidroid plot. So we're left with very little information.
So a round-up
She supported super genocide, if not in purpose, definitely in action.
She's willing to be in the same room while torture is happening and has the ability if not the will to engage in murder and torture for Syndrome.
She's not ok with civilian or child murder.
She has some level of intimacy with Syndrome.
She was willing to risk her life to save him from Bob
She ultimately swaps sides because of Syndrome 's callous disregard for life, including hers and risks his wrath to rescue the Incredibles super family
And I think that all of this leads to a super interesting character who would empathize with Evelyn.

I SMELL WIPS AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT’S COOKING IN KEY'S KITCHEN
HI FINN! :D
time for a wip breakdown post:
digital reflections au - explained in this post. short version: jay is replaced by an npc clone of himself (called superstar rockin’ jay) during s12 and is abandoned in prime empire by the unaware ninja. two oneshots have been planned; one has been written and posted here, and the other’s about halfway done.
putting the puzzle pieces back together - my take on what happened to jay post-merge! written post-leaks and pre-teasers so it’s all based on the fact that jay has amnesia and he’s working for the administration (which, in my au, is an agency dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and using it to keep the other realms in line). it’s been a project of mine for a while and i cannot wait to share the rest of it (especially what i have planned for jay’s powers)!
my currently-unnamed groundhog day au is based on the concept of the film (time loops), but not strictly the plot. kai and nya get stuck in a time loop during the finale of s7, and have to work with each other, their newly-returned parents, and the ninja to restore time to its natural state. i have a couple of scenes planned for this but that’s about it; i’m trying (emphasis on the word trying) to finish my other projects before tackling this!
and finally: my other prime empire au that’s been in the works since… *checks notes* july 2022?!? it’s gone through many changes and rewrites due to the fact it’s heavily science-fiction inspired and therefore requires a lot of lore-building to make sense. it’s a prime empire au, but in the loosest sense possible: there’s a video game called prime empire, some people get trapped in it, and jay gets separated from the ninja - but that’s about all there is in common. unfortunately i can’t say too much about it, given the fact that there are certain plot twists that change the trajectory of the entire story and are therefore spoilers.

Writeblr Introduction
Ignore the fact that my current WIP is open in another tab, and I'm putting off working on it so I can type this out.
Hello! My name is Milo (he/xe) and I'm an aspiring writer. I've wanted to be an author my whole life, but I have yet to write a story that I didn't dislike immediately after I finish it. Hopefully interacting with likeminded people will change that!
About Me
I absolutely adore D&D and various TTRPGs (my current favourite podcast is Midst).
I'm a 20 year-old gay transmasc person from Canada
I work in the film industry, but my plan is to be an author as well
Some of my favourite genres are Modern and Classic Fantasy, Dieselpunk, and Adventure
My current favourite books are "Ocean's Echo" by Everina Maxwell, "Hell Followed With Us" by Andrew Joseph White, and "So This Is Ever After" by F.T. Lukens
My Current Project
It is currently an unnamed project (even though I have 4 chapters) in the first draft and before the first edit.
It's about a transman navigating a world full of Magic as weird and creepy shit begins to happen around him. Full of gay moments and transmasc rage... also body horror.
What I'm Looking For
I would LOVE to meet people who I can bounce ideas off of, and follow folks that have cool stories that they're working on.
If I ever get out of the cursed first draft, I would also love to have beta readers (my friends can only put up with so much!)
That's me! Don't be afraid to reach out. I'd love to talk to folks :] ((I'm also tag game-friendly))

It’s the HankCon Bingo Masterlist for all my nine prompt fics! 😀 WHEEEE!
Tumblr media
First up, filling the prompts False Memories and Touch Starved, I give you:
The Ghost of You - a standalone fic full of angst, in which a glitch causes Connor to tap into a myriad alternate paths he could have taken with Hank, but ultimately never did; and I shamelessly reference some of my other fic ‘verses.
Touch - a brief but sweet PWP directly following the events of Ghost of You, in which Connor and Hank both realize just how starved for physical connection they are.
Filling the prompt Too Shaky to Stand - Aftershocks. (A fic that borders the PWP territory, set in a (possibly) alternate aftermath of one of my WiPs The Kamski Experience, a human AU where the DPD team is a documentary film crew invited to a privately owned island/mansion for an exclusive peek into genius entrepreneur Elijah Kamski’s newest project - and the work weekend turns into a forced stay at Hotel Horror.) Human AU, featuring transmasc Hank and genderfluid Connor. They both need to heal for various reasons, and find it easier to do so with each other.
For prompts PTSD, Only One Bed, Free Space and Sleep Deprivation, I present Only You - another alternate path for one of my old, old fics Being Alive. A Reverse AU HankCon, my style, in which Hank’s still Hank, and Connor’s very much himself. Cole’s alive and well. And things are nothing short of complicated.
Book Store AU - an as of yet unnamed snippet of a fic that’s bound to get more chapters or a whole big-ass complicated storyline down the road. We’ll see. :3
And last but very much not least, for the Dom/Sub prompt: Spa Day, in which a gentle dom/top Connor takes care of stressed out, aching sub/bottom Hank. Currently getting chapter 3/5 done for posting. Fingers crossed it goes up tonight 🙂
Thanks again to the mods of the HankCon Bingo event - and thank you to @sweeteatercat who talked about it just in time for me to join up too. <3<3<3<3

Nerdy Prudes Must Die au?
In a flash forward, Sabrina begs for her life from an unnamed voice. The scene then cuts away to two officers and a detective finding her body. They also find the phrase "Nerdy Prudes Must Die!" written in Sabrina’s blood.
*A While Back*
During a test, Kim asks to cheat off Max’s test; he reluctantly agrees. This is almost successful until Marinette catches the two and notifies the teacher
They both get sent to the principal's office and share a conversation that begins with Kim teasing Max about his title as "Max Can’t-eh," but ends with him complimenting him on his sense of humor
When the bell rings, Max runs off in fear and all the nerds express of their fears of Louis, a complete asshole who has a thing for messing with nerds
Louis finds Sabrina in the hallway and begins to harass her before sending her away when he notices Marinette, who he is interested in. But, when he tries flirting with her, she immediately rebuffs him
When Kim gets home, his dads are upset to hear that he tried to cheat on a test, and as punishment, they take his phone away until he raises his grade
Meanwhile, Sabrina, Nathaniel, and Max meet in the library to begin working on a group project,
However, Sabrina and Nathaniel are more interested in talking about what happened between Kim and Max despite Max explaining that nothing happened
This conversation is interrupted by a phone call: Kim is calling Max from a payphone. He invites Max to meet him at the bakery to study, which Max eagerly accepts
Nathaniel: This is the hottest conversation I’ve ever heard!
Sabrina: Smell his hair for us!
On his way to the bakery, Max is harassed by Louis. Having enough of him, Max calls him out on his behavior and says he will end up as a gas station attendant when he graduates
Louis retorts by punching him in the stomach, clarifying that he decides who can hang out with whom, who is a nerd, and that he's a god
Meanwhile, at the Dupain-Cheng’s home, they’re having dinner when Tom explains that he is making a delivery near, "the Waylon place just down the lane."
During the conversation, Marinette tells her parents about what happened with Louis earlier on, and mistakenly says sexual phrases while trying to ask for bread and butter
Disgusted by her own words, she decides to sew and take her mind off of it, yet ends up fantasizing about Louis coming in through her window and making out with her. She is once again disgusted, declaring that this is all Louis’ fault and that he "has to go."
The next day at school, Kim is upset that Max stood him up, and seeks out Sabrina and Nathaniel, asking them if they know where he is
Nathaniel accuses him of luring Max out so he'd get beaten up, but Kim denies the allegation and asks where he is
While looking for Max, the three barge into the boys' bathroom, finding him with a black eye. When Max tells him what happened, Kim suggests they do something, but before they can come up with a plan, Marinette barges into the bathroom, saying the five of them should do something together to get back at Louis
Her plan involves luring Louis to the Bourgeois place under the guise of a party and then scaring him, using Max as a ghost and Nathaniel as a skeleton, filming everything to label him as a "potty-pants"
Nathaniel: Why “potty-pants?”
Marinette: Because he’ll pee his pants.
Sabrina: How do you know? What if he didn’t drink any water?
Marinette: Who goes a day without drinking a sip of water?
Max: I mean, you can go a day without water, but-
Marinette: We’re calling him “potty-pants!”
As they set up for the plan, Marinette reveals the Bourgeois were a part of a cult that claimed to give them powers, as well as the fact that they built many major structures in Paris
Later that night, Louis arrives at the house and the five hide, playing creepy music and illuminating the inside with eerie green lights
When Max comes out as a ghost to scare Louis, he proclaims that he wanted to face his fear of the Bourgeois ghost and attempts to fight it
They send in Nathaniel dressed as a skeleton and, once again, Louis decides to face his fear. He begins to beat Nathaniel in the costume before Kim interjects, telling him it was all a prank
Instead of being upset, Louis is overjoyed, saying this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for him, that he might've misjudged the five of them
But then, suddenly, the floor beneath him breaks and he plummets three floors. Marinette, Kim, Max, Nathaniel, and Sabrina run to find him, but when they do, Louis has a wooden plank protruding from his chest
Seconds away from death. With his last breath, Louis proclaims that "Nerdy prudes must die".
Nathaniel: … He’s dead… Okay, let’s go!
Sabrina: Nathaniel!
Nathaniel: What? Did any of us really, truly like him? Plus, no one will know, and if they find out, the video will vouch for us.
Max: … I mean… The camera angle sort of just got us luring Louis into the house while looking and sounding sinister. It didn’t get him falling on accident.
In panicked shock, at Marinette’s suggestion, the remaining five decide to hide the body beneath the house, chopping Louis up and bleaching the house to get rid of any evidence. They also decide not tell anyone about what happened
Two weeks later, nobody seems too concerned about the passing of Louis, and they’re actually overjoyed
Everyone is preparing for the basketball game coming up, and the school's environment is a lot less toxic without Louos plaguing the school
Kim tells Max he passed he test and got his phone back thanks to his help. They also tell each other they're having difficulty feeling bad for what happened to Louis
But, other than that, there’s nothing but excitement for the game and overall positivity about school without Louis around
Just thirty minutes before the game, Sabrina is making her way to the school when suddenly, Louis’ voice calls out her name and the ghost of Louis appears. He begins to chase Sabrina. Using his newfound powers, bee eventually tracks down and kills Sabrina
Act 2
Marinette wakes up from a nightmare, having slept in. She hurriedly gets dressed and grabs breakfast, but becomes nervous when she overhears Tom explaining that he was notified by the person he was making the delivery to that something was found within the house, though not what
When she gets to school, she tells Kim, Max, and Nathaniel what she heard, causing them to begin panicking, but they are interrupted when they are all called into the principal's office
In the principal's office, one of the detectives questions the four about a murder. They are tight lipped when they think the investigation is about Louis, but when it's revealed she's there about Sabrina, they are horrified
The Detective then tells them of the bloody "Nerdy prudes must die" message and the four deny any connection to it. The detectives are called away after Louis’s body is found.
Later, Mayor Bourgeois sends a message, saying that he is implementing a strict curfew on the town, that all kids must either be in school or at home by sundown
Reporters question his commitment to their safety, but he quickly spins it, saying the murderer could be anybody, saying, "Don't point your fingers at me; point them at your neighbors,” causing the people of Paris to accuse each other of being the murderer
Meanwhile, Nathaniel makes his way to the school auditorium, where he is working on the backdrops for the school’s production "Sweeney Todd."
There, he sees Marc Anciel, the stage manager, frantically flipping through his binder. With some hesitation, Nathaniel asks Marc if he’d like some water, much to his gratitude
When the actors stop for a break, Nathaniel stays behind to continue the backdrops, and Marc compliments him on his work. After some very awkward flirting, Nathaniel sons works up the nerve to ask Marc out on a date, which he says yes to
When Marc leaves, Nathaniel silently cheers until he hears Louis’ voice taunting him. Louis sneaks up behind Nathaniel and killing him by shoving his paintbrushes in his mouth, choking him
The actors, drama teacher, and Marc re-enter the room and find Nathaniel dead on the floor
While this is happening, Marinette meets with the Detective in an attempt to get the detective off her tracks. The detective thanks Marinette then asks if she left her earring in the principal's office
Marinette gladly grabs it before the Detective reveals she had actually found the bracelet by Louis’ body. The detective and the cops threaten to arrest Marinette. In a panic, she steals the cop's gun and runs away
At the Cabello’s cafe, Denise and Simon flirt with each other, only to be interrupted by Max, who is upset he still hasn't received his hot chocolate
Max: I feel like I’ve been waiting for five fucking years!
Before Denise hands it to him, Simon spits in the cup
Max heads towards a table with Kim, and the two begin to argue, blaming each other for what had happened, culminating in Kim telling Max that he knows Max can't ignore him because he's crazy about him
Max denies this and claims that Kim is the one who’s crazy about him
Marinette runs into the cafe, tells them that Nathaniel is dead and that the cops know everything
Kim: No! No more plans! I’m not going along with- Whoa, is that a gun?!
A cop enters looking for her. Denise tackles the cops to the ground while they run off. As they’re running, Chloé pulls up to them in her limo, and they get in
She tells them that her ancestors really did participate in cult actives, they actually did have power. Even when they died, they lived on through a spell they cast on the house
When they arrive at their destination in the woods, Chloé orders them to dig to find The Black Book, which her ancestors owned. It features spells, incantations, and magical powers for a price, which they pay
When they find it, she tells them that they have to participate in a ritual, striking a bargain with the Lords in Black. Suddenly, they hear Louis’ voice
It’s only when the head of Chloé’s limo driver rolls past them that they scream and run off
Louis catches up with Chloé and kills her with a shovel
Kim, Max, and Marinette discover that to perform the ritual, they must be at an altar, a location that the previous Bourgeois built. One of these locations is DuPont, so they decide to head there
Before they can leave, the Detective finds and puts them in her car. They beg to be let out, explaining that Louos has returned from the dead
Before she can shut them down, she sees Louis and tries to drive away, but Louis appears in the car and smashes her head into the windshield, causing the car to crash
When everyone regains consciousness, they struggle to make their way out of the car as the detective lies motionless
When they arrive at DuPont, they begin the ritual.
They first hear hear voice before seeing the Lords In Black appear (Austin A, B, Q, T, and Jean)
Armbruster/Boulet/Quinlan/Tomassian/Jean: Out of the depths of Hell and back!
Us spawn of the black and white!
Cover our souls with robes of black!
Entangle the arms of night!
Nibbly wants a sacrifice!
And Wiggly wants his wrath!
We dancе around the pentagram!
And take all our kingdoms back!
Kim asks for the Lords in Black to stop Louis. They are willing to oblige, but they hesitate, as they'd also like to see the teens die.
He offers the Lords in Black whatever they want in exchange for their assistance. They excitedly ask for what he cherishes most. He initially offers his phone
Armbruster/Boulet/Quinlan/Tomassian/Jean: WE DON’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOUR PHONE!
Soon, he realizes that they want him to kill Max in exchange for their assistance. The Lords in Black disappear, saying that they will return when the task is completed
Heartbroken, Kim and Max head outside. Max confess he knows what the Lords in Black want Kim to do
Kim refuses to kill him, saying that, instead, Max should give up whatever he cherishes most, but Max tells him that what he cherishes most is Kim, and that either way, one of them would have to die
Kim is hesitant, believing there’s another way to stop Louis, but Max convinces him to shoot him. Before he does so, Max asks if everything were different, if je would go to Homecoming with him. Kim tearfully says yes before shooting Max…
… Only for Louis to barge in, catch it, and throw both Max and Kim to the floor, swearing he'll kill them
He begins charging towards Kim, but Marinette enters, telling Louis that she wants to make out with him. Louis eagerly agrees, saying he'll kill Kim and Max later
Max and Kim watch in bewildered confusion, since Louis is a ghost and it looks like Marinette is making out with a hologram
When they finally finish, the Lords In Black return, dragging Louis away. Kim and Max are confused as to what just happened. Marinette confesses that she had sacrificed what she cherished most: her first kiss
Kim: Hon, that was not a kiss.
Weeks later, Homecoming is taking place with strict security. As Kim and Max arrive at the dance together, the detective is revealed to have survived and even assisted in covering up what happened with Louis
Marinette also arrives at the dance, saying she found a date in Adrien, one of the basketball players. Kim and Max happily dance together, and then kiss
Outside the dance, Adrien and Marinette confess feelings for each other and they share a very short and sweet kiss. Suddenly, Marinette expression changes
She is disgusted by the fact that Adrien would even try to kiss her when they were "just fifteen." She pulls the Black Book out of her purse, stating she is going to devour his soul, proclaiming "Dirty dudes must die!"

Greg the Sound Guy
So I was rewatching the two videos he was in (Massachusetts joins the Table and Wisconsin joins the Table) And I noticed some things
- When Mass asks why his “Fack” is beeped, Florida instantly turns to Greg. And Mass turns to him to.
- Curse words are bleeped in real time- Florida and New York are confused when they don’t get called “fack”
- Gov and Florida turn to Greg in Wisconsin Joins and expect him to know where they are. Because they don’t know. It’s just known that they aren’t “up north” or in Wisconsin (his Spotted Cow wasn’t available because you can’t get it outside the state)
- Greg doesn’t seem concerned that Gov and Florida don’t know?? Like- if my employer didn’t know where we were located, I’d be concerned. Instead he just says “let’s assume this is DC”
Now my thoughts- because of course I have them
I think that maybe Greg was working with the states for a much longer time period than the pandemic.
It does play into the supernatural/maybe cryptid nature of the states though. Because Greg has the power to censor the states in real time. And it’s implied he’s censored words before, but this is the first time he’s censoring “Fack” over “fuck”. Maybe because this is a new project ?
And some more ideas:
Maybe Greg is technically employed through the National Archives/whatever that department’s official name is. It would have required him to record meetings prior to the pandemic for archival purposes. (Meetings which may have been just audio- which explains why some states show up shirtless or in various forms of undress. Kentucky may have heard it was filmed and dressed up for the start before relaxing a bit once in the swing of things.)
And it’s implied the states are known as the states. Like they don’t need a secret identity. So now the pandemic happens. What do they do?
Start a mini-series updating the public with news. Since this is going to the public, more words would need to be censored for safety. The location of filming can’t be released, so Gov and Florida have Greg lie about it. Because Greg is the unlucky employee who drew the short stick when it was announced they’d need a sound/camera guy for the series. He thought he may have been safe because his focus is sound.
(Or there’s a second unnamed film person, which is why we see Greg on camera in those sketches. When if he was filming he’d be behind it)
It’s also why Gov will try to campaign *to* the audience in some sketches. Like “Vote Blue” or “Vote me out”. etc. Because he knows these videos are going out to people who vote.
