DREAMWORKS TROLLS: SUPER UNPOPULAR AND CONTROVERSIAL OPINION!!!

DreamWorks Trolls Opinion #1:

Branch's dynamic with Cloud Guy could have been great, if not for how they severely mishandled it for the sake of making Branch the punchline in the show.

Now hear me out!

Cloud Guy is an absolute menace to Branch who loves to prank and humiliate him, but in the end somehow makes Branch overcome something. This is putting a very toxic relationship on screen and making it seem like it's fine when it 100% is not. Now, I've never been a fan of Cloud Guy, but I do know the turning point of where Cloud Guy went from being a character that mildly annoyed me to a character I genuinely hate, and that was Apple Of My Ire. To understand this, let me give you a rundown of my feelings every time Cloud Guy is in an episode.

Laugh Out Cloud: This wasn't too terrible, seeing as how Branch was sort of intense in that episode, but that whole flood thing was really unnecessary.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Hugs: This was just funny. Only thing was Keith in the end. I love Keith, but Branch worked really hard, and Cloud Guy may have been the most annoying wingman ever, but he still got the job done. Although, he really needs to not break into Branch's house and respect his personal space.

Rainbowmageddon: This was just Cloud Guy unnecessarily humiliating and undermining Branch, but honestly I'm more upset with the Trolls because THEY'RE the ones the rainbow is affecting the most, and they're the ones who aren't taking anything seriously. Also, they were fine with just leaving Branch up there? Laugh Out Cloud was fine because I do think Branch was way too uptight about the drought, but here he was rightfully worried about the rainbow, and Cloud Guy and the gang were just goofing off. What's worst was the whole deathbed confession that proved unnecessary. In Laugh Out Cloud, it wasn't exactly a deathbed confession (and it would have been way better if Cloud Guy wasn't faking being scared) and Branch really didn't suffer all that much over it. But here, that was just mean. But honestly, it was the Trolls (Snack Pack in particular) that were the most frustrating.

Two's A Cloud: Now, this episode had potential. It was SUPREMELY irritating when Cloud Guy just moved in. It was also equally horrible when he was being an inconsiderate roommate, purposeful or not IDK but IDC. But them working together to get Cloud Guy's parents to leave was great. And even if Cloud Guy decided to ultimately not move in the bunker, it was still a pretty sweet episode. The Trolls just randomly bursting in his home, though, was awful.

Apple Of My Ire: This episode had me just screaming, and not in the good way. I don't know what in the world Poppy was thinking in finding someone new for Cloud Guy to harass, when she should’ve talked to him about reevaluating and changing their dynamic into something better. You know, something more healthy, or borderline brotherly. Because Branch is so little brother coded, and Cloud Guy honestly seems like a guy who would definitely mess with his siblings out of love. Not to mention, the last time they interacted was to team up to fend off Cloud Guy's parents. That's basically a brotherhood right there! But no. This episode ruined it. Because Branch was emotionally growing, and Cloud Guy pulled him right back to his old ways. And Poppy did NOTHING!!! What's worse is that the other Trolls were also in on this! Like why??? Do Trolls not understand harassment? They have a holiday dedicated to pranking one another, but constantly being bombarded by pranks seems like that would be terrible. Like, in Prank Day, POPPY was getting fed up with the pranks. And sure, she may have planned the prank she pulled on Branch, but she really wasn't taking being pranked constantly well, so why would she be okay subjecting anyone else to that treatment on a day that isn't a day dedicated to pranks? Better yet, if she cared so much about finding Cloud Guy a troll he could annoy, why didn't she volunteer herself? There have been multiple instances where Poppy has proven to be just as temperamental and easy to annoy as Branch, so why couldn't she be that Troll? She already had some practice when she was trying to help DJ with wrangling CJ's wooferbug. But what really took the cake was when Cloud Guy just openly admitted to planting a tracker INSIDE Branch, and no one did anything. Also, was that bit really necessary? When has Cloud Guy ever had to use the tracker? Rainbowmageddon aside, he always first interacts with Branch near or in his bunker. This episode turned their dynamic from frienemies-that-can-be-potential-brothers who annoy each other, to outright bully-victim where the victim gets shamed constantly for defending themselves. This episode made me hate Cloud Guy, and gave me such an ick, I can't even watch any of the previous episodes with Cloud Guy in them without feeling rage.

I have not seen Trollstopia. I do not have access to it. But I have seen people discuss the show online. More specifically, they discuss the episode Cloud Control. And what they discuss... I thought Apple Of My Ire was bad, this episode was infinitely worse, and I haven't even seen it yet.

The takeaway here is Branch's and Cloud Guy's dynamic had so much potential, but then Apple Of My Ire came along and every episode with Cloud Guy after that just cemented Cloud Guy as an antagonistic bully who gets away with it due to victim blaming and finding ways to make it seem that he was "helping" his victims all along, as well as a large dose of full on guilt tripping.

It all comes down to DreamWorks and their love of making Branch the punchline to everything. Even his trauma isn't taken seriously, as evidenced by Trolls: Band Together. Branch deserves better. Cloud Guy's character arc was brutally murdered so I guess he deserves better, too. Poppy and the Trolls need more character development and a crash course in healthy character dynamics. And DreamWorks needs to stop making Branch needlessly suffer for the sake of a joke.

This might be an incredibly unpopular opinion, not sure, but I really disagree with everyone saying oh she shouldn't have had to tell us about her cancer, she should have full privacy, etc. I agree with those thoughts for celebrities and influencers, but for people supposed to lead a country and whose lives are being fully funded by taxpayers, I do think they owe a duty of transparency around their health. I'm in the U.S. and we've all seen outrage because Biden's defense secretary kept cancer a secret for like a day, because Trump refused to release his physical results, I could go on.

I think it’s a really hard judgement to make because royalty is such a unique role, and there really isn’t much to compare it to.  Not to mention that there are 2 separate questions: what was she obligated to announce and what should they have expected as far as levels of curiosity about a high profile public figure.  I do think that there would have been strategies that they could have used to better preserve privacy in the face of public curiosity.

I agree. I tend to think royalty doesn't get to be totally private about major life events but that doesn't mean they don't deserve ANY privacy. I just feel like the outraged comments about how sad it is she was forced to tell people because of their evil speculating ways are going too far in the other direction.

I don't think she necessarily has to share a diagnosis, but expecting that she could disappear entirely from public view and no-one would ask any questions is ridiculous. They had at least two months to come up with any plan besides complete silence.

I never wanted them to discuss her medical issues but transparency would have helped. Don't treat people like idiots. They mishandled this, and there were a million ways to keep things private but not have things turn into a cluster. Prayers for Catherine.

the fact that the surgeon did not recognize he was looking at a cancer tumor in the OR is a positive sign here

the fact that it required a complex biopsy (it took 5 weeks) for the pathology to find the cancer is a positive sign.

Having been through this recently with a spouse, what you’re saying sounds correct to me too.  She would have had the best of diagnostic tools, so that would have ruled out large masses.  The language also indicates that what they found was small.

whoever ran the PR definitely did it poorly. Part of the reason the mother's day photo blew into a bigger news event was all the major news agencies put out a kill notice on it. and they only did that because Kensington palace declined to share the unedited one when asked.

Chetwynd said news agencies asked Kensington Palace to provide the original photo, but they did not receive a reply. That’s when they decided to issue “kill notices,” something that is very rarely done.

but they didn’t stick to the timeline.. they decided to reveal a doctored image and then make Kate take the fall for it. even if she did edit the picture on her own just for fun, they didn’t have to put it on her alone? the whole thing was so odd.

They could have skipped the fake photo release. They could have reacted to the swell of interest by putting out a statement that there have been developments and they will communicate when they are ready. To pretend nothing happened since the Jan announcement is disingenuous and PR is about real time handling

Style: I SHIP IT SO HARD AHHHHH. I don’t really know when exactly I started shipping it, but I know some of the main contributors were the episodes “Super Best Friends”“You’re Getting Older/AssBurgers” and “Cupid Ye.” (Not to mention The Post Covid movies hehehe.) One of my favorite things about the ship is definitely their emaculate “yes, and” dynamic, and the way their traits compliment each other. I also looooveeee friends to lovers in teen romance, and adore domestic bliss in older romance. An unpopular opinion I suppose I have is that both Stan and Kyle are dorky loser assholes. Neither of them are “fem” or “masc.” They’re just stan and kyle. Kyle and Stan. OH AND ANOTHER UNPOPULAR OPINION I HAVE!!! They’re BOTH on the asexual spectrum!! Kyle is demigrey-sexual and Stan is sex repulsed asexual!! I will stand by this till I die.

Kyman: Urggg this one is iffy for me so I’m going to answer a mixture of both yes and no questions. I appreciate the ship from other people but don’t personally ship it because I like domestic bliss and fluff, and I can’t see them having a non-toxic dynamic. I’m all for a good enemies to lovers, but their situation is more complex than that. I feel like Kyle would never feel romantic love for Eric. He is definitely cursed to forever care about Eric, and have a deepest belief that he could somehow fix him that has the potential to verge into obsessive territory, but that’s all I see. One sided Kyman though? That’s literally just canon. Like fr Cartman is psychosexually obsessed with Kyle and if you don’t see that you did NOT watch the same show as me. I would probably like the ship more if Cartman showed lasting positive character development that wasn’t either shown to be fake or reversed for laughs.

Buttman: Euahhg. Sorry. I’ve NEVER liked this ship. I envoy their canon dynamic, and I know butters was taken a turn for the worse in more recent seasons, but I still HATE it. Because it’s abusive. At least with Kyman, Kyle and Cartman equal each other out in terms of hard-headedness. Even with his new changes in conviction in the recent seasons, if Cartters was real, it would end up like another damn heidi situation. Cartman would cling to Butters as a source of comfort and stability, while simultaneously belittling him and manipulating him. It would be so unhealthy. And I’m still not over Cartman laughing and watching as Butters was beat by his dad because of something Eric intentionally caused. As someone who grew up in a similar household to that of the Stotch’s, that scene makes me fucking sick. I… don’t really have anything positive to say about this ship tbh. It would probably be palatable to me if Butters was stronger willed, and if Eric showed more compassion to Butters in canon.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but i don't care if celebrities with a big platform don't post anything about the important issue of the day. In fact, i think in many instances it would have been better if some celebrities just shut up instead.

I think people with a big platform have a responsibility, to be mindful of what they post, to not post misinformation or fake news, to not push harmful stereotypes, etc. And since celebrities usually are not experts in the current issue of the day in many cases it's better if they just don't say anything.

This "If you stay silent on social media means you don't care" mentality really ain't it. Like i am happy when celebrities i follow are able to use they platforms in a positive way, but i don't follow them to get opinions on international politics.

Lightly edited rant containing unpopular opinions. If you like Christmas, that's fine. Please just move on and don't read this. I'm not interested in helping anyone through a fragility meltdown today.

It annoys me when people say Happy Holidays. It feels like fake multiculturalism and only *slightly* better than people who just wish everyone Merry Christmas. Sometimes I actually *prefer* Merry Christmas because at least they're being honest? IDK I really just wish people wouldn't force me into their celebrations.

Liberal American Christians love to talk about how "well practically every religion has a holiday in December so it's just a spiritual time that we should all acknowledge, darkest time of the year, bring back the light blah blah blah" but that's actually pretty much just BS?

Like, most religions have lots of festivals and observances throughout the year. Plenty of other times of the year have groupings of holidays. The winter solstice isn't any *more* important on a global scale than the other major turnings of the year. So then why do we say happy holidays at midwinter and not at the other equinoxes and solstice?

It's because America is a Christian country, and Christian "values" and "culture" get forced on all of its inhabitants. And Christmas in particular is used as this *bludgeon* to inextricably bind Americanism to Christianity. And if you push back against it, you get seen as anti-American and antisocial. (Which, admittedly, for me is fair, but hey!) And that's not just from conservatives. I've had LOTS of discussions with liberals about Christmas and the "winter holidays" that can basically get summed up as "well, it's just basically secular and has universal themes of family and love and generosity so you should just be happy to celebrate it."

Except that Christmas *cannot* be separated from its Christian roots and tying it to American neocapitalism just makes it more toxic. I don't want to celebrate it and I'm *so tired* of living through two (if I'm lucky) straight months of forced observance of someone else's religion.

And yeah, happy holidays just reinforces that, it doesn't make it better. As a Jew, if you say happy holidays to me during Hanukkah and not during Passover or the Days of Awe, it's pretty obvious that it's about Christmas (and forced assimilation) and not about inclusiveness. If you say happy holidays for Bodhi day but not Vesak, that's not about multiculturalism. If you say happy holidays during Kwanzaa but not on Junetheenth, that's not about diversity. If you say happy holidays during Ramadan (on the rare occasions that Ramadan even falls in December) but not on Eid al-Adha (or vice versa), then it's pretty obvious that's not about anything other than making sure everyone else is forced to join in on YOUR celebration.

(And if anyone's going, "well, but everyone celebrates the New Year"—nope. While the US’ year end can be traced back to Rome, it was Christianity that spread it throughout the world and is responsible for us celebrating in midwinter. Other calendars vary wildly. Many aren't actually fixed to the solar year, but for those that are, beginning the year at the end of summer or the end of winter is actually more common than midwinter. But anyway, using happy holidays to refer to New Year's Day isn't much less Christian-centric than using it to refer to Christmas).

And like, no judgment to people who like happy holidays and want everyone to use it, I'm just tired.

unpopular opinion but i want Way to get shot while saving Babe but not die and then episode ending with Pete sitting beside Way in hospital. Man is redeemed for everything he did to babe. ( I think it won't make much sense for him to fall for Pete so fast when few days ago he was still pining for his 10 year crush. I want him to take some time. )

honestly I don’t see too much hate towards way, maybe because I’m not looking 😅 i want to believe that many people see where his obsession is coming from, the manipulator manipulated into some pathetic deeds by a more powerful force. what pushed me to empathise with him were his words that went something like “I hoped that if I do what Tony says it will be over” because I can see how a person would be so out of their mind because of constant pressure that they’ll do even violent and disgusting things if it would make it easier on them. I might be wrong of course, I might see the situation wrongly too, but those are my thoughts so far.

i actually don’t believe that way is inherently evil. for me he’s a mean girl that needs a person who will like him and love him for who he is, and not despite who he is. as of now he’s never been fully honest with anybody but pete so even if someone liked him they liked the illusion of him and not the broken sad obsessed failure of a man with gorgeous eyes he is.

I’m almost sure there will be no season 2 but in my mind way will leave racing and lean more into the customer service in the car dealership he works at if I remember correctly. use his talents in a less evil manner let’s say 😅 and ofc pete will be slowly breaking him out of his shell and prove to him that he can be loved in a very sincere way, and Pete’s love must be strong as hell. they are 100% gonna be that one couple that exists in their own world even surrounded by other people.

as for possessiveness I actually believe it would take way lots of time to realise he has the right claim pete in any way, I have a hc that when way finds out that kenta was/is in love with pete he will withdraw severely because he wouldn’t dare to compete, he’s not worthy, same old.

but when in established relationship way would certainly recover his bad bitch persona and be the legendary trophy wife pete deserves.

What are your honest unpopular opinions on Descendants?

I honestly don't know if any of these are unpopular, but here goes.

I wasn't bugged by the royal wedding or the engagement in the third film. The whole heir and spare thing is a legitimate practice and since Ben has no siblings and it seems to be unknown who's next in line (Chad mentions not knowing in the second film, and as the son of Cinderella he really should know the succession line), he pretty much needed to get married as soon as possible, especially with the villains taken into consideration (he has already been kidnapped). Their adults, financially stable, and true loves, so in the Disney realm it really does make sense for them to marry.

I don't really like Doug. I mean, he's okay... but something about him just rubs me wrong and I really wish Evie didn't end up with him in the end. I think it would have been nice for Evie to become confident in herself and find her place in Auradon before "finding a prince." Maybe Doug would have been an okay thing, if the relationship had began as a friendship in the first two films and only started a romance in the third movie vrs. the whole "I love you" thing and them apparently being true love? I don't know, I'm lowkey convinced that he was faking being asleep. (Also, if Evie was to fall in love with someone it would have been nice for it to be a person who had no ties to her mother's story. I guess I kinda understand, it could be sweet, maybe a little Romeo and Juliet without the tragic ending, or with it if the relationship didn't work out. But yeah...)

I like Mal. I don't like everything about how she was written, as some of it feels inconsistent, but I like her. I'm also not angry about the love potion in the first film. The VK's were raised by villains. What Mal did wasn't good, but its something she can learn from. It would have been nice to see Ben and Mal's relationship grow differently, not as quick and a bit more tentative because of it, but its a DCOM what do you expect?

While I'm on the fence about watching the new Descendants film, Chad having a sister isn't something I found shocking. As stated above, heir and spares are real. It makes a lot more sense for all of the royals to have multiple children vs. one for each couple.

I like the third film. (Though I very well might be biased as I love the Hades storyline XD)

I was not surprised or upset by Hades being Mal's father. I actually like it. Yeah, Mal is probably overpowered, but I'm here for it. Now if only we got to see powers she would have inherited from her dad...

I was not a fan of D2 Mal's hair, and while the dark root of the wigs in the third movie bug me SO MUCH that even though I like how Mal's hair gained blue I would have preferred the wigs and styles from the first movie being brought back.

Descendants would have been better as a teen/young adult tv series, either live action with a large budget, or an animated series. Some music could still be in it, but not excessively either.

I probably have more, but this is what I got off the top of my head and I'm still not even sure if they are unpopular.

So sat on it and gave it some thought and going off ONLY Episode 1 of the new season of Disventure Camp here are my opinions on who going to take the win. Breakdown

No Chancers

Yul obviously not going to win, he is here to get pants verbally by the smarter villains like Fiore. So moving on to Miriam and James the returning champs from S1 & 2. I don't think anyone repeating and Miriam is obviously tapping out and here to serve as support for Jake. I think the same goes for James with Aiden. I think Riya is going to end up eliminating James only to get wrecked by Aiden a sort of reverse from the S2 finale. Speaking of Riya is here to stir shit up and cause strife but is not winning. Then that leaves Conner this is the only one I think you could argue me up to the next tier. But he got a big back for Riya to stab. The One on Life Support The "fake" face turn going to get Grett probably to the merge but no further in my opinion. Seems like a mid-season reveal kind of thing. For the bickering couple Hunter and Ally I think this is going to weigh them down throw off Hunter's challenge ace mojo and doom Ally to a similar fate. Last is Fiore she doesn't have one yet but looking at the facts her old strategies won't probably work and she most here to support growth for Alec in my opinion. The One Going Deep Tom is good in challenges and I think Jake going far thus his Old Flame probably going far as well. Ellie, I think she going to go full heel this season and I think she going to be a major threat and probably once again make finals only to be slain. I get this from the bitter angle in her interviews. The Not Enough Content to Judge I assume they brought Ashley back to do something, just waiting to see what that is. As for Tess her story will really depend on Hunter's and Ally's to develop before I can guess her trajectory. The Potential Jake is probably the least popular of the 5 but he has been given a lot of focus and seems to being position to go far. Plus he has a good rivalry with Ellie to build upon if we want to do that pair for finals. Gabby would be a popular pick, she a fandom darling even if I think she is a little overrated. (don't kill me, I know unpopular opinion). Plus there is a good amount to build upon that wasn't touched in S1. Next up is Aiden, I think would be another popular pick. Again I'm bias being a fan of his and also trans so my veins are filled with both copium and hopium on his run. But he got to slay Riya and that means he probably going deep to wait for that chance as we got to get the pieces in place. The Penultimate is Alec who again very biased for, but I think he getting a face turn of some kind he seems regretful of his play in S1. I think Fiore is here to boost his chance for a deep run and I think Conner early will help set up with the wise older guy speaking to the young divorced guy. Plus he is the trauma pinata for the host to beat up for all the juicy content. I think the strongest contender is Lake, she popular with fans, she is good in challenges, and seems to have a solid head on her shoulder. If the winner is supposed to be the best of the group Lake is up there as a solid choice. But give me your thoughts and opinion, again we have one episode to go off of so I expect these to be widely wrong but that the fun of it.

First impression: definitely up to something but my eyes are mostly on Trent.

I enjoy a mute!Misto but I think Misto having the 'terrible bore' line is like... vital in terms of his and Tugger's relationship and shouldn't be given to other characters unless Misto's actor is physically not given a mic. So that one probably.

6. Worst personality trait

Misto deliberately acts like an annoying little bastard on purpose to piss people off all the time, but being that he does that on purpose I feel like I can't list it.

Due to his competitive nature he has a tendency to want to at least feel like the smartest person in the room pretty much all the time and can tend to treat perfectly normal interactions like competitions or a game of one-upmanship. He tends to get on best with other cats who don't really care about his (in)superiority complex and let him posture.

UHHHHHHHHHHHHH

ACTUALLY I have one! The fact that 2019!Misto was awkward wasn't that bad. I see people all the time being like 'they ruined Misto! He's supposed to be a dramatic confident showoff!!!!!' but that's not necessarily true. Misto being insecure is a thing in plenty of tours-- in some (shiki, vienna, and maybe moscow I believe? Off the top of my head?) even have a moment where, after he pulls the tarp off of Deuteronomy, he whirls away and faces the audience while Tugger greets Deut-- this moment is in every production, but while most performances show him grinning or excited here, the above productions can sometimes show him looking afraid or upset, especially when Tugger starts singing again in a serious tone-- he thinks he failed. And even in 98 you see Misto fail to light a firecracker or two during the song, and immediately turn for Tugger for reassurance. Misto being insecure or uncertain of his powers is not even remotely new!

The issue with 2019!Misto is that they let that trait screw with the song. In all of those above examples, Misto's insecurity is characterized without even pausing the song for a second. In 2019, not only is the song kind of ruined when they turned it into a bout of .. . . .spoken word.... . poetry? Or a rap? Or whatever it was? BUT he also constantly fails to do the trick, dragging it out for forever. He just shouldn't have sang the song himself. They didn't want to pay Jason Purrulo the big bucks to sing another number; fine, have Munk do it. Or Victoria. Anyone other than Misto!

16. Deepest darkest secret they won’t even admit to themselves

Ooooooh, I don't know! Misto is generally pretty frank with himself, and holds himself to a high standard; while he can be an enigma to the other cats, those who know him well know him well, so there aren't many aspects of his character that at least 1 or 2 members of the tribe aren't aware of.

I will say that in a fake-dating tuggoff fic I've been writing, when Misto discovers that he's developed a crush on Tugger, he immediately resolves to take that shit to his fucking grave.

Human Misto grew up in a very health-inclined household and never really had much snacks or junk food, so he tends to dislike sweet or greasy or snackie type foods. He does love lemonade and dark chocolate, and tends to eat a lot of protein due to his career/hobby as a dancer.

Questions answered

i don’t believe literally everything is going to be answered simply bc there has to be a balance when you don’t know if you’re gonna get another season. i personally believe that there has to be a balance of some questions answered with some still remaining simply bc for every percent of a chance you have of NOT continuing, you have a chance OF continuing. 

So here are the questions i think will get answered:

We’ll figure out where they are in terms of space and time

We’ll figure out a LITTLE bit as to why Dean is doing what he’s doing 

We’ll figure out who the Akrida Queen is 

Here are some of my musings going into the finale:

I personally believe everything is taking place in The Empty. If you’re new around here, I am a BIIIIIIIG subscriber of the Chuck Won theory, and in order for this theory to work in my head, I need it so that Dean was never actually in Heaven when it came to 15x20. Neither was Cas. 

It’s my personal opinion, and I’ve chatted about this on @endofthebookpod with @jewishdeanwinchester and @evergreencowboy who also have brought this idea up, so i guess it’s a collective opinion lmao, that this is all taking place in the empty. 

There’s also the First Draft theory that @evergreencowboy has mentioned on the podcast way back in the beginning and that we keep mentioning because it can also coexist and blend with the theory that they’re all in the empty. 

I think theories of this taking place in The Empty were solidified with the last episode and Limbo and the circus and all that. Fake happiness, accepting and processing reality to snap out of it and break free, etc etc. 

So yes, I do believe they’re in The Empty. I’ve been hoping that Dean’s been in The Empty for a long long while, even before the show, given the Chuck Won theory. It will make me SO happy if this is where this is all taking place. 

I don’t believe Cas will be seen. 

This may be an unpopular opinon but I don’t want any Destiel reciprocation on screen until the continuation. I personally want the prequel to exist as its own thing with some character development for Dean in the background. 

Now, I don’t mind parallalels and threads to Destiel — we’ve even gotten those already — and I don’t mind Dean mourning or mentioning Cas. But, I physically don’t want to see him until there’s an Empty rescue primed and ready to happen in the continuation. 

I am aware of the fact that Cas is awake in the Empty, everyone and everything is, however it feels like it’s too soon to reunite Dean and Cas on screen and I wouldn’t want that happening on a spin-off — i need it to happen in a continuation. 

However, it would be very sweet if there were mentions/threads/insinuations to the relationship/how dean feels, etc etc — with just the knowledge that Cas doesn’t know it yet. 

But, above all else, I really want this show to exist as its own thing and as world building and rule building for how the Empty works if that’s indeed where they are. The Empty has virtually no rules for its existence other than a select few from OG SPN so if this is indeed The Empty, a pocket universe inside The Empty, what have you — then I would hope that more rules are established for it. 

Questions remaining

Here are my questions remaining and that IDK if they’ll get answered in the finale but I’m okay if they aren’t

Why is Carlos so associated with death imagery?

Was John talking with anyone when he ‘died’ for a hot second in the vampire episode? And if so, who?

Who is The Witness? [I think if they’re real it’s either Chuck or it’s Dean] 

Are these the real John and Mary? 

What exactly are the Akrida? Does The Empty hold them and since Jack woke everything up, they’re out and about?

Are Gabriel, Chuck, and Rowena OUR Gabriel, Chuck and Rowena? Or are they actually from the 70s? [my guess is that they are ours, and that’s why we’re in The Empty]

Is Betty an Angel?

Why does Dean have the samulet dangling from his car?

Why isn’t Sam there?

Where TF is Deanna?

Unpopular Opinion. Tails is more Independent than Nine is.

I like Nine but he’s definitely not ready to be on his own.

Nine did survive on his own but 1. Surviving isn’t Living and 2. He didn’t have a choice because nobody cared about him while he was being bullied.

Ever since he decided that he liked Sonic, Nine became WAY more dependent on Sonic than Tails had ever been.

When Nine first found The Grim’s portal, he wasn’t impressed and even appeared bored. However Nine noticed that his ship needed repairs so he reluctantly entered.

(Debunking the “Nine is obsessed with the shards and is greedy” claim. After all, if he really wanted all of the shards the whole time, he would have quickly entered instead of only doing so because he needed repairs.)

After he noticed how empty The Grim is, he whipped out his device that can track Shards and Sonic due to him having shard energy. The latter of which, is the reason why Nine made the device.

There’s a timeskip after Nine found The Grim’s shard. I suspect that he didn’t use the shard for anything other than repairs until after he brought Sonic in The Grim since why not show the Trees to Sonic when he had the chance.?

After doing the repairs, Nine went back to his initial mission to find Sonic. (If he ever left it since he seems confused and upset when he first saw the Grim’s shard..)

During Situation Grim, Nine went back to New Yoke and he already knew Sonic was there, likely through use of his tracking device. (Unless he somehow spotted Sonic teleporting back.)

Nine brought Sonic to the Grim, hoping that he’d like the place just as much as he does. To his frustration, Sonic didn’t and wanted to return to the Rebels. Nine reluctantly helped Sonic leave.

However Nine didn’t want to give up yet, as Sonic only named the Council as the reason why he didn’t want to stay and Nine now depends on Sonic. So Nine decided to decorate The Grim based on what Sonic might like, hoping Sonic would be more satisfied with The Grim.

Nine was with the Council and tried to defeat them from the inside for weeks so that Sonic’s reason for leaving the Grim would no longer apply. Nine also updated Sonic’s gear so that he won’t teleport when he grabs the shards. Not only because it’ll help Sonic but possibly also so that Sonic won’t leave The Grim if/when he touches its shard.

(To anyone who tries pretending that Nine staying with the Council wasn’t for Sonic, what ulterior motive could Nine have had? Collecting the shards? Nine easily could have done that himself using his tracking device + ship and it would have been quicker that way.)

Nine became frustrated with Sonic’s refusal to stay in The Grim with him. In his mind, He spent weeks/months with the council for nothing and he was starting to suspect Sonic was a fake friend. Plus, he can’t handle being away from Sonic and he’ll likely die if Green Hill is restored.

So far in Season 3, after cutting ties with Sonic, Nine had lost his touch. The Shards powers are beyond Nine’s control and so far, Nine’s only toys shown were the Grim copies, which appear to be weak. (Plus it can be interpreted that Nine’s endangering the shatterverse is partly so that Sonic would only be able to speak to him.)

Even in Speed Simulator, Nine is one of the only characters who doesn’t have his own small circle. Instead, he shares his with Sonic because he can’t handle being without him.

Tails on the other hand, can go longer without Sonic. They only hang out like once or twice a month. (As implied by the “Long Time, no see” lines and in Tailstube, Sonic wrote a message about his presence, implying that they hadn’t seen each other in a while. )

Edit: People claim that Nine’s more independent than Tails is due to him not knowing Sonic until recently, but it’s actually BECAUSE of that, that he’s more dependent on Sonic than Tails is. Nine met Sonic only recently and Sonic was the only one who cared about him so Nine doesn’t want to lose Him or share him with anyone yet.

It’s gonna be an unpopular opinion but somedays I wish he’ll do something so ridiculously stupid that most of those fans who came with H’sH and is here just because of his pretty face would unstan him and so his popularity will fall. But unfortunately it is more likely that larries/fans who really care about him as a person and artist will leave and het harries will stay because they don’t think deeper and whatever ridiculous he would do they will quickly forget about it as soon as some aesthetically pleasing promo drop. Only solution of this situation would be that at least if there will come some fresh and younger break-through artist that they will simply move on to someone else who has even prettier face and hotter body, will constatly feed them on sm and Harry will be there for those who are serious about his music as much as he himself is serious about his music - luckily for us he’s nearly 30 and that’s the age when you are too old for teenagers to call you trendy and follow you. So again, it’s unpopular but I kinda wish for this situation because somedays I can’t stand how most of fans don’t go under the surface and I want him for those who truly understand him.

There was this discussion how interesting he is alone as a person without his tabloid drama and womanizerTM image for hets and gp and I can totally say that for me he is totally interesting and would love if he’ll give us more from his personality, his sense of humour or his interests because I know he’s interested in many kinds of art, he reads books and have a feeling he’s just an old soul who on one hand knows internet and memes and usage of emojis f.e. but on the other hand he’s too old for all the sh*ts teens are obsessed with, don’t have tiktok installed in his phone to use it under some fake account or simply doesn’t know what is popular because he lives in his bubble and doesn’t needn’t to keep up with trends.

It’s basically the same as you discussed Louis huge potentional for his shows - there’s a lot what both of them can give us but yet we don’t even get the minimum. At least they have each other and they personalities are fully open and we can only wonder how great they are together when one doesn’t need to hide anything and other one is fully comfortable.

I agree with your unpopular opinion. I'd rather have a smaller fanbase consisting of people who see and get him, and let's him do his thing, than him having a huge fanbase but then having to bend backwards to entertain the flighty gp majority. There are larries who disagrees and wants him to be successful over anything else. And we know Sony/Columbia don't agree, cause they will lose money. I'm a realist and i don't see that happening, even though some of us wish it. But i do see that the ones who actually thinks harry is a person of some substance will likely move on if this behaviour continues. But i think harry tm has a shelf life, they didn’t create him to last. He's not a slow burn, but a quick and fast burning star. They might change strategy, and think that a coming out will be a new era, rebrand him so that his career will last. Idk.

I do think harry is an interesting person and i think he's well spoken when he dosn't need to guard his words or speak on things he's not interested in. We see it so rarely though. He hardly does interviews anymore, both on camera or printed. And i agree that he could be so much more if they let him. Same with Louis.

Hi👋🏼 I actually really like Jane and she’s one of the my favs! That’s probably a really unpopular opinion, I know, but it’s true.

I’ve always been a lover of astronomy and seeing Jane be so passionate about it made me very drawn to her. Not to mention, it was refreshing to see a female character that wasn’t just a bunch of toxic male traits mixed together under the guise of “feminism”

She actually isn’t a damsel in distress or a Mary Sue tbh???

Like, a Mary Sue would be a female character that is adored by everyone, made the center of everyone’s universe, and never has to struggle for anything. And Jane isn’t that?? Sure she’s the love interest of Thor, but she does struggle like when SHIELD takes her research in the first and when she has the Aether in her.

And also she’s not that much of damsel. She literally slapped Thor and punched Loki without a second though, was ready to throw hands with SHIELD for taking her stuff, and fought off Malekith with science! And the fact that she was able to hold onto the Aether for so long was impressive to say the least.

I’m not surprised you don’t remember Jane in Gagnarok cause well… she wasn’t in it. Mainly cause of the director. Lots of fans wanna say it’s cause Portman didn’t wanna come back, but in reality, Marvel never called her back.

And it’s not like TW wanted her back. He literally called Jane and other female characters from the Thor franchise “boring and pretty”, with Valkyrie being more on Thors level cause she’s “one of the guys”.

It’s that type of fake feminism bullshit of “women can only be strong when they act more like men” It’s why they’re doing the whole Lady Thor thing; not because of the story in general, but so Jane can stop being “boring”

Alear, Yunaka, and Veyle for the character ask!

I just sent you the same characters lmao same braincell

First impression

Alear: The actual first impression was seeing the leaks and thinking "lol this has to be fake, there's no way this is real".

Then the first trailer released and you can literally see me go "what the fuck is this" in my blog posts. Mainly of course about their design.

Veyle: Really didn't have an impression on her at first beyond "oh she's a cute younger character". Then I saw some footage of Evil Veyle and went "welp, guess she's the twist villain"

Yunaka: Had around the same impression I had with Hortensia: "she looks more like an idol than an FE character". Her personal skill caught my eye though.

Impression now

Alear: I am COMPLETELY mentally ill about them. Best FE protagonist, there is no joke. Just like Engage itself they seem silly and innocent on the surface but there's a LOT of dark shit you can dig up, but at the same time the heart is clear as day!

Even the hair grew on me quite a lot. I can't believe either they turned out to be plot relevant.

Veyle: BABYGIRL. She has also completely rotted my brain because she has also so much you could talk about her! She's the second protagonist pretty much (she's even in the center of some artwork instead of Alear), she is both adorable, tragic and is really strong even if she doesn't realize it and she needs all of the hugs in the world.

Well, all of the three do, but especially her.

Yunaka: Another one that won't let go. She is SO good. I love how unlike most of the cast she's here on her own terms, she is so silly and funny on the surface but you also really feel for her once you learn more about her. But even if her silliness is mainly a facade, it's also a fundamental part of who she is. She says so herself!

And honestly, I just think she does a wonderful job in expressing self-loathing, struggling with making meaningful connections but also desperately craving them and wanting to be a better person and move on from her gruesome past but having no idea how. Which is a trend with a good chunk of the Engage cast, really.

Favorite moment

Alear: Absolutely when they choose to be revived as a Corrupted. It's the culmination of their whole character arc and I've made a whole post about it.

Veyle: When she plays Zephia for a fool by pretending to be her evil self and throwing Sigurd's ring to Alear, damn the consequences for her.

Keep in mind that she only just now found out what was up with her, is likely in complete shock and guilt but she still manages to improvise to help Alear, fully expecting to be her last action as her own person.

This is why I compared her to Sakura, both are adorably sweet little sister who are secretly REALLY strong-willed and are stronger than they realize. Say what you will about how Fire Emblem writes female characters and we all know there is a lot to say, but they're great at writing sweet little sisters with plenty of guts to spare.

Yunaka: ohh, either her support with Citrinne or the one with Alfred, for completely different reasons.

Idea for a story

Alear: Personally I'd love to see Alear becoming a new professor at the Officers Academy with/instead of Byleth. Even if Fòdlan is the last place they should ever be in for... Several reasons.

For a less crack idea, Past Alear recognizing Nel and Rafal due to a headcanon I'll mention later.

Or even just the whole Fell Family assembling and expanding in Askr, really.

Veyle: I mentioned it already to you and some other people in private, but I want to write a story about Veyle trying to rebuild Gradlon! I just think it has a ton of potential as a post-game story :D

Yunaka: Probably either her life with Alear or her journey after the endgame. While happily ignoring her end card.

Unpopular opinion

Alear: honestly just claiming they're the best FE protagonist is already super unpopular.

Veyle: She's more than just the cute little sister and she has a lot more going for her than people give her credit for.

Yunaka: honestly I never read much about her so I wouldn't be able to tell you🤷

Favorite relationship

Alear: Platonically Veyle, and it's the most important one by FAR. Romantically Yunaka!

Veyle: Platonically Alear again, but I don't have any romantic ships for her at the moment.

Yunaka: Alear and Citrinne romantically, Fogado and Alfred platonically!

Favorite headcanon

Alear: the older siblings Past Alear mentions in their death list are Nel and Rafal from the main Elyos. Because the idea of them recognizing the twins makes me wanna SCREAM

Veyle: Alternate take on her evil self, but rather than being born by random draconic impulses (despite degeneration not being a thing for any of the dragons in Engage), it's a personality born out of her intrusive thoughts.

Because it makes so much sense a small part of her resents humanity and Divine Dragons for the abuse she endured just for being a Fell Dragon. And deep down maybe she wants to believe if she was Sombron's perfect little Fell Princess then maybe he'd finally love her.

It's made abundantly clear that Veyle herself would never and that Zephia's magic did almost all of the work, but I find it way more interesting than simple brainwashing or... Random dragon impulses. Helps give some sense as to why Evil Veyle repeatedly insists she's the real one, even if that's not the case.

Yunaka: Nothing bad happens to her ever in the ending and she returns to Elyos and lives a long, happy life. I have experience with ignoring endings from Echoes already, IntSys can eat my butt.
