i’m a person that sees the potential not the present.

wrote this one after constantly finding myself trying to fix people in relationships.

always seeing the best in people leads to me often overextending myself or giving more into a relationship than is being given to me.

this song is basically me saying I can’t do it anymore. I can’t heal you, i can’t fix your problems, i love you but i need to leave and heal now.

Unreleased Lana Del Rey

Everyone has probably heard Lana del Rey's most popular songs such as "summertime sadness" or "brooklyn baby", but there is much more to Lana del Rey that many think.

Her current artist name is only the tip of the iceberg !

She also released music under the names "May Jailer" and "Lizzy Grant", "sparkle jumprope queen" and "Lana Rey Del Mar"

the songs she recorded dipped into pretty much in any genre- pop, rock and country ( to which she has recently returned)

The songs can usually be found on spotify on the tab "shows and podcasts", on soundcloud and youtube. if you are not familiar with the names, youtube compilations of her older music are your friend !

Many songs are used as a blueprint for the "coquette" aeshetic, a very stereotypical "girly" aesthetic.

"Since Trish's untimely passing in 2011, James has continued to remember her by sharing unreleased Broadcast demos each year on her birthday, September 28th.

In the spirit of those birthday demos Broadcast present "Spell Blanket - Collected Demos 2006-2009"

The collection comprises songs and sketches drawn from Trish's extensive archive of 4-track tapes and minidiscs. The recordings lay the groundwork for what would have been Broadcast's fifth album, offering an intimate window into the creative process of Trish and James during this period post Tender buttons.

'Spell Blanket - Collected Demos 2006-2009' will be released via Warp Records in early 2024."
