THE FAIRYLAND

CHAPTER 1

Minervia sips her tea as she reads the letter that had just arrived. She looks out of the window where she was sitting in the drawing room. The cottage mansion was there home for the spring and summer months in Scotland. She sighed a heavy sigh as she shook her head sadly. Her Husband Lord Demitrius walked into the room. Demitrius "What's to your disliking my dear. We may have just arrived 4 days ago, but it is our home. Please I pray you to tell me what troubles you, my love?" Minervia Our troublesome daughter Genevieve I'm afraid. It doesn't help that my grandfather fills her head with those silly stories as well. We are the laughingstock of all of London and England thanks to her. Her tomboy ways are not on and yet no matter how hard we try to teach her how to be a proper lady she does the opposite even more. She brings bad reputation to this family. No wonder the suitors we had picked for her turned her down. Demitrius Have the Amish writing back yet my dear? She jumps down pats her horse thanks, the stable hands then wearing pants and a lose cotton top and boots walks into the house. Genevieve If this is about my ridding like this, I have to tell you.... Demitrius puts hand up to stop her talking* We will discuss your ridding clothes latter. This is more important. Your Mother has received a very important letter today. Genevieve looks at Minervia From whom? Minervia We are embarrassed and the laugh of all of England thanks to you. You have shamed this family deeply and we had enough. We have come to decision to marry you off to theses religious people called the Amish. You soon to be husband is on a ship as we speak to come here in 2 weeks' time. His name is Noah Peachey, and you are to wed him and become his Amish wife. You have no say in this Genevieve. Genevieve looks at them shock and beyond mad at this* You can't do this to me. I will not marry these Amish men that I have never met. Demitrius That's enough girl. Now hold your tongue like a proper lady would. We have had it with your rebellious ways and tomboy style. It is. not proper of a young lady like yourself to have. By marrying Noah Peachey, you will become his wife and will have a strict and rebel free life and do you dam good to be wed to a stricter man then your sisters. Look how they turned out proper and Lady like expect you. As for you ridding clothes we be taking them off you and replacing all you stuff with what Amish ladies have. Its time you pay for you rebellious ways girl. Genevieve yelling at them while crying I HATE YOU BOTH!!! YOU'RE RUINING MY LIFE!!! I WILL NOT MARRY THIS STRICT SNOB!!! NOT NOW NOT EVER!!!! *Demitrius fed up and angry* Silence you ungrateful girl. That is not how a lady like you are meant to talk to males at all. You are to be seen but not heard. *Genevieve angry and yelling* NO YOU SNOOBY MALES ARE TO BE SEEN AND NOT HEARD!!! I HATE YOU ALL!!! {runs out of the room and up the stairs into the bedroom slamming the door extra hard as she collapses onto the bed sobbing her heart out}
