Jack Smith is really, really good at explaining why Trump was indicted. This annotated copy of the indictment from the NY Times is worth reading. Here are a few highlights:
3. The Defendant had a right, like every American, to speak publicly about the election and even to claim, falsely, that there had been outcome-determinative fraud during the election and that he had won. He was also entitled to formally challenge the results of the election through lawful and appropriate means, such as by seeking recounts or audits of the popular vote in states or filing lawsuits challenging ballots and procedures. Indeed, in many cases, the Defendant did pursue these methods of contesting the election results. His efforts to change the outcome in any state through recounts, audits, or legal challenges were uniformly unsuccessful.
Tumblr media
4. Shortly after election day, the Defendant also pursued unlawful means of discounting legitimate votes and subverting the election results. In so doing, the Defendant perpetrated three criminal conspiracies: a. A conspiracy to defraud the United States by using dishonesty, fraud, and deceit to impair, obstruct, and defeat the lawful federal government function by which the results of the presidential election are collected, counted, and certified by the federal government, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371; b. A conspiracy to corruptly obstruct and impede the January 6 congressional proceeding at which the collected results of the presidential election are counted and certified (“the certification proceeding”), in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(k); and c. A conspiracy against the right to vote and to have one’s vote counted, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241. Each of these conspiracies—which built on the widespread mistrust the Defendant was creating through pervasive and destabilizing lies about election fraud—targeted a bedrock function of the United States federal government: the nation’s process of collecting, counting, and certifying the results of the presidential election (“the federal government function’).

Duo villain headcanons
How this works: I put the villains on a wheel and then get a random pair. I then say the pairs dynamic
Invisi-Bill and Dr Two Brains
The two are both complete scatter brains. I'm entirely certain that Steven had adhd, and Invisi-Bill is... Invisi-Bill. Although, I think because of Squeaky, Two Brains would be mildly annoyed by Bill. Bill's just happy to be there
Rhyme and The Butcher
There is literally only one scenario i see this pairing happening with; Reason is trying to convince Rhyme to branch out more so that she doesn't need to constantly cling to him. Reason convinces The Butcher to pair up with her, since she's a nice enough dude. Hijinks ensue
Big Left Hand Guy and Tobey
Tobey, upon seeing BLHG's... large hand, immediately gets ideas. He personally finds the power of summoning taxis to be pretty useless, so he offers BLHG some technological updates to the hand
Nocan and The Whammer
Oh no.
The Coach and Captain Tangent
Tangent is recommended to the villain school in order to become a better villain. The Coach desperately wants him to shut up /hj
The Learnerer and Chuck
Since the Learnerer can learn anything by just seeing it once, Chuck takes advantage of it by teaching him to be a chef.
Mr Big and Seymour
Holy shit literally the scammiest duo to ever exist.
I've got a completely separate idea for them that includes Granny May, making the scammiest duo to ever exist. They all commit different types of scam related crimes (Phishing scam, insurance fraud, etc) by working together, teaching the audience about how to identify scams. Granny May is in charge of the whole operation, but fully intends to just bend the other two to her will via psychological manipulation and abandon them last minute. (Granny wont be getting her own duo since there is an odd number of villains i chose)
Eileen and Lady Redundant Woman
Beatrice would murder this child the second she has the chance to.
Maria and Hal
Hal has no idea how Maria works, and tries to get her to power up a machine he made. She eats it and walks away.
Ms Question and Reason
This pairing makes way too much sense. Ms Question asks questions, Reason gives reasonable answers.
Amazing Rope Guy and Glen
The most unsuccessful loser to ever exist
Leslie and Victoria
WELL ISN'T THIS CONVENIENT FOR MY HEADCANONS.
Ok, so their dynamic is very interesting, so here is a very long scenario/backstory for the two of them.
One day, during the villain meetup, Victoria breaks in uninvited. She declares that all the villains are weak compared to her, since she's the best. To prove her point, she demands that they hold a contest between her and whoever the villains decide is the strongest or 'best' out of them.
Originally, the villains wonder if they should just put Two Brains up there, since he's the number one villain. Victoria retorts saying that she wants the most athletic villain, which leads to Leslie having to deal with the contest.
Leslie, having much more experience and self discipline, wipes the floor with Victoria, but doesn't feel that great about it. She had a similar childhood as Victoria, so after the contest, she offers Victoria some training lessons.
Victoria refuses several times, eventually escalating it to trying to fight Leslie in private. Leslie fights back, not putting in too much effort, instead trying to give Victoria tips during the fight. After several more incidents like this, Victoria began to give in more and more. So although she won;t admit it, Leslie is technically Victoria's mentor.
Ok rant over
Royal Dandy and Timmy Tim-Bo
Uh..
RD thinks Tim is boring because he sleeps too much.

Getting down to his last one.
Tumblr media
June 12, 2023
Even at the best of times, Donald Trump has never been what you might call a stable individual. More than a few mental health experts have commented concerning his obvious psychopathologies, including grandiose delusions, malignant narcissism and sociopathic tendencies. But Trump's descent into full-blown madness truly began when he lost the 2020 presidential election and was unable to overturn his defeat through lawsuits, lies, threats, fake electors and even a violent coup.
Incapable of accepting that loss, Trump retreated into a fantasy world in which mass voter fraud stole his victory, the FBI spied on his campaign, and all investigations into his business and personal activities were meritless and politically motivated.
How nuts was he? According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told a grand jury last year that if somebody had told Trump right after the election that Trump ballots had been stolen by aliens, Trump would’ve believed it.
But it was Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's 34-count criminal indictment for falsifying business records that accelerated his psychosis and sent him over the edge in an all-caps rage.
WHY WON'T BRAGG DROP THIS CASE? EVERYBODY SAYS THERE IS NO CRIME HERE. I DID NOTHING WRONG! HE IS A SOROS BACKED ANIMAL WHO JUST DOESN'T CARE ABOUT RIGHT OR WRONG NO MATTER HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE HURT. THIS IS NO LEGAL SYSTEM, THIS IS THE GESTAPO, THIS IS RUSSIA AND CHINA, BUT WORSE. DISGRACEFUL!
Then came the announcement he would be indicted in Miami on federal charges related to his theft of secret government documents. Following a previously unsuccessful attempt by his lawyers to get DOJ Special Prosecutor Jack Smith to call off what he calls "the boxes hoax," Trump went absolutely bonkers.
Reports are the Marxist Special Prosecutor, DOJ, & FBI, want to indict me on the BOXES HOAX, despite all the wrongdoing they have done for SEVEN YEARS, including SPYING ON MY CAMPAIGN.
He followed up by freaking out over Biden having "1,850 boxes in Delaware that he won't allow anyone to see." For the record, these are unclassified senatorial materials that Biden donated to the University of Delaware in 2012.
Now, with the unsealing of indictments for espionage and obstruction last Friday, Trump is fully in the grip of paranoia, ranting that AG Merrick Garland, US attorneys Lisa Monaco and Matt Colangelo, "Deranged" Jack Smith, Smith's wife and President Biden are all "Trump Haters" and "There is no way they can treat me fairly." Revealing that this is a man who's thoroughly terrified. And totally losing it.

Tumblr media

Rainbow Transport has taken him on as a client, but they are unsure if this is a legitimate case or just an unfortunate accident. Beofre taking any action, Do-Ki investigates Ahn Young-Sook, the director who performed the surgery.
To infiltrate the operating room, Do-Ki poses as a patient. During his anesthesia, Go-Eun discovers that a proxy performs the actual surgery while Young-Sook leaves for a drink. The team now knows that she is a complete fraud, and they devise a meticulous plan to bring her down.
Season 2 Episode 9 "Save My Daughter!" Season 2 Episode 10 "I Know Kim Do-gi The Best"
The series is based on real-life heinous crimes committed in Korea and has received praise from viewers for its performances and storylines.
If you want to watch the series for yourself, stop reading! This post contains spoilers to the storyline.
Episode 9 "Save My Daughter!"
In Episode 9, we learn how Do-Ki obtained the Cotaya files, which were discovered by Ha-Joon during his visit. Do-Ki enters his house and sees Ha-Joon looking at some pictures, Ha-Joon quickly makes an excuse and leaves in a hurry, leaving Do-Ki with doubts. The next day, Ha-Joon questions his subordinate about how the files ended up with the taxi driver. The subordinate has no explanation and is now threatened by Ha-Joon to investigate the reason for the leak of the files.
Tumblr media
The Rainbow taxi team is having a typical day when Do-Ki notices a man protesting outside a nearby hospital for the truth. Later that day, the man saw a Rainbow taxi advertisement and called them. Do-Ki meet with the man and listened to his story. A year ago, the man's daughter, Han Su-Ryeon, was admitted to hospital for surgery by a renowned director.
During the procedure, the director noticed something unusual but dismissed his concerns when his daughter was brought out of the operating room. However, he soon discovers that his daughter has fallen into a coma. He attempts to take the surgeon to court, but without evidence, the trial is unsuccessful.
Tumblr media
He stands outside the hospital demanding justice and documentation of the surgery room. The Rainbow taxi team considers this a medical malpractice case, but the surgeon in question has a clear and positive track record.
This makes them reluctant to take the case, and Sung-Chul ultimately decides not to take it. However, the others are still unsure and express their concern for the man. Do-Ki is hesitant to abandon this case. He meets Cheon Ji-Hun, the One Dollar Lawyer, who helps him understand that he cannot give up on it.
Tumblr media
Later, he meets the man and assesses his situation. Meanwhile, the others sneak into the hospital to steal their records, but find nothing. Do-Ki also sneaks in and searches through the handwritten files. He discovers that Su-Ryeon's files were destroyed due to a leak.
Do-Ki becomes suspicious and investigates the crime scene, the operation room. He is unable to enter due to camera sensors at the entrance, so he pretends to be a patient and puts on an act with Sung-Chul.
Tumblr media
Do-Ki asks Go-Eun to turn off the camera on his glasses for three minutes. After that, she can turn it back on, and the hospital staff can pretend that the sensors have become faulty. The plan is put into action, and Do-Ki is successfully put on the operating table and given anesthesia.
As he slowly loses consciousness, Go-Eun turns on the camera and sees the director leaving the room while another doctor enters instead.
Tumblr media
Episode 10 "I Know Kim Do-gi The Best"
The tenth episode starts with Do-Ki entering the operation theatre. However, someone else takes the position of the surgeon, and director Ahn Young-Sook is seen leaving the surgery. Go-Eun witnesses this, and the other man is about to begin the surgery when the nurse informs them that they have the wrong patient in the room.
Tumblr media
Do-Ki wakes up and is pleased with what he found. He stays at the hospital for a longer period and follows the man who replaced Ahn Young-Sook. He discovers that the man works in sales at a pharmacy company associated with Young-Sook.
He discovers a schedule packed with surgeries and uncovers the true identity of the person performing them. The Rainbow Taxi team reconvenes to discuss the case and Go-Eun discovers that Young-Sook changed her name and has a criminal record under her previous name.
She was caught for fraud after making a salesman perform surgeries for her and paid a fine before changing her name to continue her work. Later, Young-Sook meets with the man who replaced her. She threatens him to continue performing surgeries for her, or else he will be in deep trouble.
Tumblr media
She instructs him to get into the waiting car and return to performing surgeries. However, Do-Ki is not willing to let this happen and kidnaps the man. He questions him about Su-Ryeon and discovers that an error was made during the surgery, which Young-Sook quickly covered up.
Do-Ki is angry and tells the man that his actions were wrong and inexcusable. Young-Sook has found out about the man's disappearance and orders him to be replaced. Do-Ki then returns to the hospital and questions Young-Sook's true motives.
Ha-Joon arrives and tells Do-Ki that he has come to visit someone. This makes Do-Ki realize that the hospital hardly receives any visitors. The lack of visitors reveals that most of the patients in this hospital are elderly and have no family around them. Therefore, their treatment brings money into Young-Sook's pockets from the government.
Tumblr media
Young-Sook receives a message that another elderly man's condition is not optimistic. Upon arriving, she orders the nurse to write it off as death due to a chronic disorder. This leaves Go-Eun and Do-Ki speechless. They plan to move the elderly man to another hospital with the whole team.
Tumblr media
The man is soon brought out, and Do-Ki leaves to confront Young-Sook. First, the team informs Young-Sook that her entire fortune has been donated. Then, government officials arrive to assess the hospital and discover many surprising factors.
Additionally, the man who used to work for Young-Sook turns himself in and exposes her truth. Later, Young-Sook returns to the now-destroyed hospital and plans her escape, but Do-Ki arrives and gives her a taste of her own medicine.
Meanwhile, Ha-Joon has something in store for Do-Ki, and Do-Ki's taxi is soon bombed, exploding in front of the others.

In a recent development from Thailand, authorities uncovered a massive crypto scam targeting local investors, with damages amounting to more than $27 million. In collaboration with international bodies, local enforcement agencies went after a fraudulent Investment platform, leading to multiple arrests and property seizures. Decoding The Deceptive Web: A Scheme Unveiled A report from the Bangkok Post highlighted the expansive nature of this scheme, which had successfully duped over 3,200 Thai locals. Orchestrated by five foreign nationals, including four from China and one from Laos, the platform bchgloballtd.com acted as a façade, pulling unsuspecting investors into its trap. Efforts by Thailand’s Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB), with support from the United States Homeland Security Investigations and several other international law enforcement agencies, began when aggrieved investors approached the authorities towards the end of 2022. These investors expressed distress over considerable losses, with many having placed their life’s savings or mortgaged properties into the platform, only to see them evaporate. Acting on the gathered evidence, Thailand’s Office of the Attorney General pursued prosecution in August 2022. Consequently, the five suspects faced severe charges, including conspiracy to commit transnational crimes, public fraud, and money laundering. As a testament to the gravity of the crime, the Anti-Money Laundering office seized personal properties from the suspects, amounting to roughly 585 million Thai baht. CCIB spokesperson Kissana Phathanacharoen took the opportunity to condemn fraudulent Investment schemes in the country. Phathanacharoen emphasized that scams have proven to be the most financially damaging among the reported frauds in the nation. Crypto Scam Surge: Alarms And Preventative Actions With the surge in crypto scams, numerous warnings and preventative measures have been initiated to counteract these deceptive schemes. In July, a UK court delivered verdicts to two individuals convicted of enticing potential investors with lucrative return promises and scamming them out of their money. Last month, The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES) of Thailand announced a plan, threatening to seek a court-issued order to shut down Facebook unless the platform addresses the alleged proliferation of fraudulent advertisements. In a related effort to educate and warn the public, Binance CEO Changpeng “CZ” Zhao took to social media in the same month. CZ alerted his followers about a strategy targeting the crypto community. This scheme involves crafting fake wallet addresses that mirror the victim’s genuine address. Tragically, this led to a loss of $20 million for a seasoned crypto trader. I want to share this (luckily) unsuccessful, but very clever and close scam incident from yesterday 👇. Saved $20m. Hope it may also save you one day. The scammers are so good now they generate addresses with the same starting and ending letters, which is what most people check… — CZ 🔶 Binance (@cz_binance) August 2, 2023 The global crypto Market cap value on the 1-day chart. Malicious Prosecution in Portland, Maine: The Necessity to Protect James Kenton
Malicious Prosecution in Portland, Maine: The Necessity to Protect James Kenton
In Portland, Maine, malicious prosecution is a serious legal issue that must be addressed. Malicious prosecution is the act of wrongfully and without good cause, initiating or continuing a criminal or civil legal action against another person with an intent to inflict harm, maliciously defame, or extort those proceedings. Malicious prosecution is incredibly damaging, both financially and emotionally, and it is important to protect those who have been unjustly accused of a crime from such wrongs. In this article, we will focus on the malicious prosecution of James Kenton, and why it is necessary to bring legal action against anyone who accuses him of a crime.
Malicious prosecution is an incredibly serious issue and James Kenton has faced malicious prosecution on several separate occasions. In each case, the prosecutions have been unsuccessful, yet the damage has been done. The malicious prosecution has caused James Kenton to suffer extreme emotional distress. In order to prevent James Kenton from further suffering, it is necessary to bring legal action against anyone who accuses him of a crime.
It is essential to pursue legal action against those who maliciously prosecute James Kenton in order to protect his rights. All persons in the state of Maine are protected by the laws of the land, and it is important to uphold those laws for the residents of Portland, Maine. Malicious prosecution is a form of civil rights violation, and as such it must be taken seriously. Filing a malicious prosecution lawsuit against someone who has wrongfully accused James Kenton serves as a warning to others in the community that malicious prosecution will not be tolerated.
Filing a lawsuit also serves as a deterrent to those who may be tempted to maliciously prosecute someone. It sends a message that such behavior is not tolerated, and that serious legal action will be taken if necessary. Additionally, by filing the lawsuit, James Kenton can seek compensation for damages as a result of the malicious prosecution, such as lost wages, emotional distress, and attorney fees. This provides a financial incentive to individuals who may have wrongfully prosecuted James Kenton in the past.
In conclusion, it is essential to take legal action against anyone who has maliciously prosecuted James Kenton in order to protect his civil rights, deter those who may want to prosecute him maliciously in the future and provide him with compensation for damages he has suffered as a result of the malicious prosecution. Doing so will send a message to the community that malicious prosecution is not tolerated and that serious legal repercussions will be taken against any individual found to be guilty of such an offense.

Ex-Accountant General’s Missing Statement Stalls Trial In Alleged N109bn Fraud
Tumblr media
The alleged N109 billion corruption charges filed against former Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Ahmed Idris was stalled at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Wednesday, over the disappearance of one of the statements he made to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) during investigations. The statement dated July 5, 2022, could not be located by EFCC in its own file, that of the High Court as well as that of the defence team. At Wednesday’s proceedings, the anti-graft agency through its counsel, Mr Oluwaleke Atolagbe had kick-started the trial within trial, following the denial by the ex-Accountant General that some of the statements he made to EFCC in respect of the N109 billion alleged fraud were made voluntary. Idris, who was re-arraigned last October had persistently alleged that the key statements proposed by the EFCC to be used against him in the alleged corruption charges were made under duress. Following the allegation, Justice Halilu Yusuf ordered a trial within trial to authenticate the claim. Although the EFCC had presented its witness, Mr Hayatudeen Suleiman for examination on 13 different statements obtained from Idris, trouble however arose when it was discovered that a statement dated July 5, 2022, and said to be vital to the trial could not be found in the bundles of documents uploaded to the court by EFCC. Trouble worsened when EFCC seeking to examine the witness on the disputed statement could not find the statement in its own case file. A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chris Uche leading the legal team of the former Accountant General also told the court that the statement was not part of those supplied to him by EFCC. Uche said the anti-graft agency for reasons best known to it, had suppressed some documents and that the missing statement of the defendant may be one of the suppressed documents. “We came fully prepared for this case to be substantially dealt with but unfortunately, EFCC appears to be dragging us back by not putting its house in order. “If it were a civil matter, I would have asked for a cost of N5 million for our precious time wasted by the prosecution”. Efforts by Justice Halilu Yusuf to salvage the situation were unsuccessful as the statement could also not be found in the court’s record. At this point, the EFCC lawyer who insisted that the statement is vital to his case, applied to Justice Yusuf to grant him an adjournment to enable him search for the missing statement and serve on the defendant as required by law. After consultations among lawyers Justice Yusuf fixed May 11, for the continuation of trial within trial. The court made it clear that the adjournment was at the instance of the EFCC. EFCC had on October 27, 2022, re-arraigned Idris on a 13-count charge bordering on alleged misappropriation of the sum of N109 billion. Others arraigned alongside are Olusegun Akindele, Mohammed Usman and Gezawa Commodity Market and Exchange Limited. They were first arraigned on July 22, 2022, before a vacation judge, Adeyemi Ajayi. The EFCC alleged that between February and December 2021 Idris accepted from Akindele, a gratification of N15. 1 billion, which sum was a motive for accelerating the payment of 13 per cent derivation to the nine oil-producing states in the Federation, through the office of the Accountant General of the Federation. The anti-graft agency also alleged that N84. 3bn from the Federal Government’s account was converted by the first and second defendants between February and November. 2021. The EFCC said the offence contravened sections 155 and 315 of the Penal Code Act Cap 532 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 1990. Read the full article

[ad_1] Comment on this storyCommentPRAGUE — A former general defeated a billionaire former prime minister on Saturday in the Czech Republic’s presidential election — seen by some as a contest between constitutional democracy and populism, with Russia’s war in Ukraine in the background.Czechs favored Petr Pavel, who held a senior position at NATO, over Andrej Babis, who has loomed large in the country’s business and political landscape for the past decade. Pavel led by 58 percent to 42 percent, with 99 percent of ballots counted. In his acceptance speech, Pavel struck a conciliatory tone, thanking everyone who came to the polls, including those who voted for Babis. “The values that won in this election are shared by the vast majority of us: truth, dignity, respect and humility,” he said.“It’s good that we will have a president who made it his goal to unite citizens,” Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said during a news conference after congratulating Pavel. “I’m looking forward to cooperation with Petr Pavel.”Although the position of president is largely ceremonial, the role is symbolically important. Pavel’s win cements a shift away from populist politics — at least for now. The race was also being watched as something of a bellwether, as Russia’s war in Ukraine reshapes electoral politics across Europe.Pavel could show the continent “that populists can be beaten,” said Jiri Priban, a professor of law and philosophy at Cardiff University in Wales. “It is a very strong message for transatlantic relations and also for constitutional democracy — a system which is under strain.”Pavel replaces president Milos Zeman, who has sought to stretch the power of the presidency since he was elected a decade ago. Zeman appointed an unelected caretaker government (though it failed to win parliamentary approval), refused to nominate judges and professors who displeased him and blocked political appointments, all while cozying up to China and Russia. The preference for Pavel over Babis may also suggest that the current climate in Europe is more favorable for war-hero multinationalists than it is for politically inclined oligarchs.Babis, 68, is one of the wealthiest Czechs, owning an empire that spans from agribusiness and chemicals to media. He put his companies into a trust when he became prime minister in 2017. But his media outlets often echoed his nationalist and anti-refugee views. And an audit by the European Commission found that he influenced the allocation of E.U. subsidies to his businesses. In a separate domestic case, a Prague court cleared him of fraud charges last month, ruling that transferring one of his companies to his wife and children to make it eligible for E.U. small-business subsidies “is not a crime.”The new autocrats: Leaders are turning democracy into tools of oppressionPavel presented voters with a very different sort of choice. He is a former paratrooper who served as a part of the United Nations Protection Force in Bosnia, where in 1993 he helped free more than 50 French soldiers from hostile territory and became a decorated hero.He was chief of the general staff of the Czech army from 2012 to 2015 and chairman of the NATO Military Committee from 2015 to 2018.Pavel and Babis emerged from a first round of voting on Jan. 15 with a nearly identical share of the vote. But then Pavel was then endorsed by three out of the six unsuccessful candidates, including the runner-up Danuse Nerudova, while Babis’s support appeared limited to his ANO party, the far-right SPD and some fringe parties.Pavel “clearly has the numbers on his side,” Jiri Pehe, a political analyst and the director of NYU Prague. Babis’s only chance was “to discourage Pavel’s potential voters.”That’s what he tried to do during the inter-round campaign, which was intensely hostile, rife with disinformation and largely dominated by one topic: the war.Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had a big impact on Czech society. The country’s strong support for the Ukrainian side has sparked protests and counter-protests.
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have fled to the Czech Republic — a source of pride for some Czechs and frustration for others. How the E.U. has fallen short on promises to Ukrainian refugeesPavel has vowed to keep the country on a firmly pro-Western path and to continue helping Ukraine. In a nod to how many Czechs have been unnerved by the fighting just beyond the European Union’s border, his campaign billboards promoted him as: “Leading with experience and calm in difficult times.”Babis, meanwhile, condemned the war while also casting Pavel as a warmonger. His billboards claimed that “The General doesn’t believe in peace” and promised: “I won’t drag the Czech Republic into war. I’m a diplomat, not a soldier.” Social media posts and chain mail, meanwhile, falsely claimed that Pavel was planning a general mobilization. In a recent televised debate, Babis appeared to question NATO’s collective security clause. When asked whether he would deploy Czech troops to the Baltic States or Poland if Russia invaded, he replied “certainly not” — spurring an immediate outcry. Though he quickly walked back the remark, the damage, it seemed, was done. His defeat marks the end of an era, analysts said. “After ten years of Milos Zeman, having Pavel as president would be a huge change for our international partners,” said Pehe of NYU Prague.“I would expect his presidency to be much more low-key. He would focus on representing the country well abroad,” Pehe said. “Babis, on the other hand, would engage in political activism. Babis would just be the continuation of Zeman.” [ad_2] Source link

Serious serial loser.
Tumblr media
December 12, 2022
Donald J. Trump's status as an abject loser in the business world is well documented. His failed ventures go back more than thirty years and include his numerous hotel and casino bankruptcies, the folding of the New Jersey Generals, and the fraudulent Trump University. Plus, Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump Mortgage, Trump Magazine, the list goes on and on. Between his father and Apprentice producer Mark Burnett, Trump managed to acquire some $840 million. Which he parlayed into an estimated $1.3 billion in debt. Verdict: Loser businessman.
Likewise, Trump is a habitual loser in the courts. Most glaringly in his lawsuits to overturn the 2020 election results (61 losses out of 62 challenges). And in the jury trial that found his company guilty of criminal tax fraud and other crimes. Add to this his many unsuccessful attempts to get courts to grant him total and lifelong immunity, allow him to retain the top secret documents he stole, and keep his cronies and co-conspirators from giving evidence against him. Verdict: Loser litigant/defendant.
Of course, he's also been a loser at the ballot box. Not once, but twice. In both his presidential runs, he lost the popular vote (though he did win the electoral vote once). In 2016, Hillary Clinton received 48.18% of the popular votes (6,58,53,514) to his 46.09% (6,29,84,828). Four years later, Biden beat him 51.3% (81,282,916) to 46.9% (74,223,369). Verdict: Loser political candidate.
Recently, anticipating a midterm election "red wave," Trump tried to demonstrate his power over the Republican Party as a kingmaker by endorsing roughly 300 MAGA candidates for offices from US Senator to county commissioner. As usual, he displayed his instinctive predisposition to lose. Here's a partial list of the candidates he backed and the races they lost.
Kari Lake — Governor (AZ)
Lee Zeldin — Governor (NY)
Tudor Dixon — Governor (MI)
Darren Bailey — Governor (IL)
Doug Mastriano — Governor (PA)
Leora Levy — US Senator (CT)
Mehmet Oz — US Senator (PA)
Don Bolduc — US Senator (NH)
Adam Laxalt — US Senator (NV)
Blake Masters — US Senator (AZ)
Herschel Walker — US Senator (GA)
Kim Crockett — Secretary of State (MN)
Mark Finchem — Secretary of State (AZ)
Kristina Karamo — Secretary of State (MI)
And we haven't even mentioned the utter fiasco of his presidency. Or his failure to overthrow the government by force. According to his niece Mary, Trump was taught from childhood that the very worst thing in life was to be a loser. Ironically, in whatever he tried, that's exactly what he's been.
