Loki resisted the urge to sigh for the third time in the past ten minutes while Emily insisted on doing the bulk of the task herself. He held the heavier pieces up or together where necessary to keep her from doing any lifting but he had long since learned not to get in her way when it came to following the instructions.

“Perhaps it is simply a spare?” he suggested. “I don’t know why it has to come from that ridiculous shop when we could get one handmade by a skilled carpenter.”
