something about zukka slowburn friends-to-lovers in their mid-20s once they’ve both had years to adjust to their post-war lives and think about what (and who) they really want in life can be so personal

#it’s the way that Something has been there since the beginning #but there was too much other stuff happening for them to figure out what that something was #until it’s been long enough that they’ve dealt with the most immediate pressing post-war issues #zuko has had time to really come to terms with his sexuality and his position as firelord #sokka has time to try living at the south pole to help rebuild and to then realize that he isn’t meant to just stay there #i could go on but. there’s just something about it !!!!! #canon divergent or immediately post-canon zukka is cute for sure #but for me it doesn’t pack the same emotional punch #when they grow up and grow closer and are able to actively Choose each other even when it’s hard and life tries to get in the way #brain rot i am telling you !!!!!! #🥺😭🥺😭🥺😭 #zukka
